Turquoise is a popular gemstone that has long been prized in many cultures. It’s said to bring luck, peace, and protection, and it’s also one of the birthstones associated with December.
Turquoise stones have many meanings that go above and beyond the beauty of the blue color they provide.
What Is Turquoise?

Turquoise is an opaque stone that ranges from blue to green in color. The most valuable turquoise stones generally have a more smooth, solid color, while many stones have brown veins throughout. It has a calming, soothing, protective energy that can be beneficial for various feng shui applications. The word turquoise comes from a French word meaning “Turkish,” likely because the stone was introduced to Medieval Europe by Turkish sources. Turquoise has a Mohs scale ranking of 5 to 6, which means it has a fair to good hardness rating.
Properties of Turquoise
There is not one rare or best turquoise stone. But there are many rare types of turquoise with unusual colors. There are rare specimens of turquoise with blue-violet colorations and highly valuable transparent or translucent turquoise crystals that come from Virginia, for example.
Here are more common properties of turquoise stones:

Color: Blue, green
Chakra: Throat, third eye
Number: Vibrates to 1
Planet: Jupiter, Venus, Neptune
Zodiac: Scorpio, Sagittarius, Pisces, Rabbit
Bagua areas: Zhen, Qian
Elements: Wood, metal
Origin: Afghanistan, Arabian Peninsula, China, Egypt, France, Iran, Mexico, Peru, Poland, Russia, Tibet, United States
Spiritual Meaning of Turquoise

What does turquoise mean spiritually? The stone has a calming, grounding energy that makes it a great stone for when you are feeling overwhelmed, or to aid in meditation. It is said to connect heaven and earth and help you connect to the spiritual world. Turquoise can strengthen your connection to intuition, and it is also helpful for protection and purification.
Morning All!
well hubby fell asleep watching tv last evening–sometime around 6pm. at 9 he stirred a bit and i asked if he was comfortable and wanted to sleep downstairs–he said yeah. he slept thru till about 3:30 this morning…his breathing was a little harder off and on–but nothing that woke him up.
he drifted in and out of sleep for the next hour or so but decided he wanted to get up. still, last night was good night!

Morning, Pat! It sounds like progress at least. I’ve never been a particular fan of turquoise as a rule, altho I like the color. My Mom has always liked it – it is very common in the Western world and around the race tracks. I prefer the more unusual examples like Star Sapphires – I love those!

They are up for reelection. From the article:
Democrats are also pushing back against the acquisition that would see the world’s fourth-largest steelmaker subsume the 27th-largest.
“This is a major blow to the American steel industry which has been instrumental in making us the superpower of the world and a direct threat to our national security,” Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) said in a Tuesday statement. “We must be doing everything we can to prevent any further deterioration of American ownership.”
Senate Banking Committee Chair Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) criticized the deal for stemming unilaterally from management and failing to include union employees in the decision-making process.
“Nippon and U.S. Steel have insulted American steelworkers by refusing to give them a seat at the table and raised grave concerns about their commitment to the future of the American steel industry,” he said in a statement Monday.
Union jobs were also top of mind for Sen. Bob Casey (D-Pa.), who called the merger a “bad deal” for his state, where U.S. Steel is headquartered in Pittsburgh.
“I’m concerned about what this means for the Steelworkers and the good union jobs that have supported Pennsylvania families for generations, for the long-term investment in the Commonwealth, and for American industrial leadership,” he said in a Monday statement.
Brown and Casey are up for reelection in 2024 in states where former President Trump remains broadly popular. Both have touted their stalwart support of labor unions and attempts to hold major industrial firms accountable to their constituents.

🇺🇸Statement of Fact🇺🇸
I proudly served our nation as a career Air Force pilot to uphold our Constitution and protect our way of life. Now we’ve fallen prey to border invasions, stolen elections, usurpation of our gun rights and woke corporate tyranny. What the brazen Colorado Supreme Court did by slashing President Trump off our sacred ballot was to rob us of our very foundation. Their pompous tyranny is so egregious, that Americans of all stripes should NOT stand for it. The US Supreme Court must overturn this gross overreach ASAP. After that, these “supreme” judges should be ignominiously removed from office by the Coloradans whom they so wantonly betrayed. Wendy Rogers out.

From January 7, 2021, until you (Liz Cheney) were ousted from Congress for betraying your constituents YOU sat comfortably in your chair at the table of the J6 Select Committee.
You watched USCP mob bosses Yogananda Pittman and J Thomas Manger (who is arguably the most corrupt politician in the country) run roughshod over USCP employees frantically trying to blow the whistle after knowing J6 should have been prevented.
After the committee investigated you learned how Julie Farnam (under Pittman’s supervision) attempted to scramble the Intel leading up to J6.
You learned that when Farnam failed and the Intel analysts under her still put together Intel report 21-TD-159 and presented it to Pittman her last option to stop the Intel from reaching Chief Steven Sund was to just sit on the report so he could not gain National Guard support on January 6th. We now know that is the option Pittman took.
What is worse than all that is you watched Senate Sergeant at Arms Karen Gibson bring in Manger to cover-up everything to ensure the J6 narrative remained as an insurrection when you know this is false and you continue to watch that narrative destroy the lives of thousands of Americans and their families. That is DEPRAVITY. God bless you ma’am and may He have mercy on your soul.

newest member of SCOTUS hit with ethics complaint
article
An investigation is being sought into Joe Biden’s Supreme Court justice, Ketanji Jackson, for refusing to report her husband’s income for multiple years while she was a judge and required to do so.
A report at Fox News explains the ethics complaint was filed by the Center for Renewing America with the Judicial Conference.
It charges that Jackson “willfully” concealed required income disclosures … for years.
In a letter, the center charged Jackson refused to report her husband’s income for more than a decade as a judge, and suggests the conference should refer Jackson to Attorney General Merrick Garland “for investigation and possible civil enforcement,” the report said.
At issue is a requirement that judges disclose income “by a spouse from any person which exceed $1,000.”
There is an exception if the spouse is “self-employed in business or a profession, only the nature of such business or profession needs to be reported.”
Jackson, when nominated to the district court bench in Washington, revealed the names of two legal medical malpractice consulting clients who paid her husband, Patrick Jackson, more than $1,000 for the year 2011, according to the letter.
But in later filings, she “repeatedly failed to disclose that her husband received income from medical malpractice consulting fees,” the letter charges.
“We know this by Justice Jackson’s own admission in her amended disclosure form for 2020, filed when she was nominated to the Supreme Court, that ‘some of my previously filed reports inadvertently omitted’ her husband’s income from ‘consulting on medical malpractice cases,'” the center charges.
Further, she hasn’t even “attempted” to list the years that omitted the required information.
The letter points out the income doesn’t qualify for the “self-employment” exception.
The letter argues Jackson was aware of the legal requirements in 2012 “enough to list the specific sources of income for her first disclosure filing,” but later on, she wouldn’t do that.
That makes her violation “willful.”
It also questions the “private funding” that paid for a massive event at the Library of Congress that included multiple performing groups when Biden appointed her.
It’s unclear who paid for the festivities.

why isn’t the irs going after Byrd–he have an all inclusive “stay out of jail for free card” or what?
article
The Pennsylvania Department of Revenue recently filed a lien against the property of Ashley Biden for $5,000 she has owed in income taxes since 2015. Her father was the vice president at the time.
Ashley lives in Philadelphia with her husband. Liens enable the government to recoup unpaid taxes. The amount would be higher than the original amount because the government adds hefty penalties and interest. Maybe she should move to Maryland.
Michael Byrd, the Capitol police officer who murdered Ashli Babbitt on January 6, seems to have no fear of the government coming after him. He has owed the government $56,366 since 2019. He bought a $520,000 house in Prince George’s County, MD, the same year despite his previous multiple foreclosures and bankruptcies. His house has no lien on it.
His last bankruptcy, in 2009, showed debts of $1.2 million, which he incurred after a bankruptcy ten years before. The court let him satisfy the 2009 claims for $14,547.
His indebtedness to the government since 2019 has skyrocketed. An accredited business site online claims that Byrd would now have accumulated a $26,632.80 penalty and interest of $11,244.78 for a total of $94,243.29. No effort is being made to make him pay.
Looks like Black privilege to me.

Poof, just like that, the DC cabal has legislation waiting in the wings to stop the “outrageous” (non) decision by the Colorado Supreme Court. Smell at rat?
The Colorado decision looks like yet another set up to usurp State power and effectively end free elections.
Create a crisis, then use it to strip the American people of even more of our rights. That’s how we got the Patriot Act.
Of course it is a Republican, Richard Burr the Second, leading the charge to strip our rights, again !

what the hell? ask for the manager at a Dunkin Donuts in Texas and get confronted by 3 teenagers DD workers WITH GUNS???
story
Three Dunkin’ workers accused of threatening customers with guns have been arrested, Texas police say. The El Paso Police Department said the incident happened in the Dunkin’ drive-thru at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9. A 41-year-old man and his girlfriend were ordering doughnuts, but the woman said an employee was acting “rude” and she asked to speak to the manager, police said in a Dec. 18 news release. The worker responded that he was the manager, using explicit language, according to police. When the couple drove toward the window, the employee came outside, followed by two co-workers. The three workers, ages 17, 19 and 20, brandished handguns toward the couple, police said. “One of the employees chambered a round in the pistol, pointed the gun at the 41-year-old customer, and verbally threatened him, saying, ‘Y’all gonna die tonight,’” officers said. The three workers were arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, police said. They were jailed in the El Paso County Detention Facility on $100,000 bonds.

The absolute lawlessness in the court system today.
The Supreme Court of Colorado basically convicts a former President of the United States of being guilty of insurrection without the man ever having a trial.
A judge in DC basically makes up her own law to hold J6 defendants in jail without a trial, in contradiction to a law passed by the US Congress on pre trial detention.
A judge in New York says President Trump is guilty before his trial is complete.
Our government is in all out war against the people of this country.
I just listed a few, but the evidence is everywhere you look.

American thinker has an article about amlo

Who knew that Texas had to ask Mexico’s permission to pass new laws? Heaven forbid an American border state promotes law and order, and considers the interests of the American people living there! From a Reuters report via Yahoo News yesterday:
Mexico to challenge Texas’ new ‘inhumane’ migration law, president says
Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador on Tuesday said his government was preparing to challenge a new Texas law allowing state law enforcement to arrest suspected migrants, which he called ‘inhumane.’
On Monday, Texas Governor Greg Abbott signed the law giving local officers powers long delegated to the U.S. government.
Mexico has immigration laws they’re allowed to enforce, but if America begins to do the same, it’s “inhumane” and cruel.
Has the Mexican president vocalized how “inhumane” it is to allow open borders policies that facilitate the murder, rape, and trafficking of people (even children) by the cartels? No, I didn’t think so. But arresting people for violating our laws is somehow the “inhumane” thing to do?
Has AMLO condemned the Democrats and their promotion of baby murder through birth? After all, Mexico itself has abortion limits, so naturally one can assume they recognize the humanity of a child in the womb (at least to some extent). Therefore, shouldn’t AMLO be lambasting the political party whose members fight for the “right” to dismember and poison living children?
I’ve also not heard AMLO castigate the Democrats’ policy adoption of “gender-affirming healthcare” (more accurately, sexual mutilation) for minors, even extremely young ones. Isn’t chopping off healthy and functioning organs during an identity crisis, or perhaps because a child has been a victimized by a woke pro-trans guardian, an “inhumane” reality?
Has he said anything about the heavy taxation imposed upon America’s working class, or the big spending programs subjected the American people to financial slavery and serfdom? Isn’t that “inhumane” and entirely unjust?
Texas won its independence from Mexico over 187 years ago, which means 187 years ago, Texas earned the right to never have to listen to the Mexican government again.

“New Body-Positive Scale Just Says ‘You’re Totally Healthy And Definitely Won’t Die At A Young Age Of Heart Disease'”

HEALTH · Dec 19, 2023 · BabylonBee.com
WASHINGTON, DC — In a major win for body positivity, the Center for Disease Control released a new scale this week to help doctors inform slightly larger patients they’re doing great and definitely won’t die young from any sort of coronary episode.
“We call this the ‘You Go Girl’ scale,” CDC Spokesperson Dana Macgillis told reporters. “Now, no matter what the numbers might say a patient’s weight is, doctors can use our scale to inform them that they’re totally healthy and definitely won’t die young or anything…even if they’re, say, 200 pounds ‘overweight’, whatever that is…”
The move comes after a slew of prominent body positivity activists died mysteriously from causes doctors can neither diagnose nor say out loud for possible fear of losing their jobs.
“These individuals died from caring too much,” Macgillis said. “They were definitely healthy at any weight and weren’t crushed to death under the weight of mountains of their own blubber. You go girl!”
Body positivity experts hailed the new scale as a fantastic move forward in ridding society of ableist terms like “Healthy Weight”, “Massive Coronary Event”, “Type 2 Diabetes”, and “Died From Massive Overdose Of MacDonald’s Fries and 165 Ounces Of Coke.”

“8 Superior Alternatives To Public School For Your Kids”

SPONSORED · Dec 19, 2023 · BabylonBee.com
“Gone are the days when you could just ship your kids off to the public school system every day and trust them to come out still sane and reasonably educated. But what are the alternatives?
The Babylon Bee has compiled the following list of highly superior alternatives to public school:
1. Let them join the circus: There are way fewer freaks at the circus.
2. Get them a job at Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory: They might be drowned in a chocolate river, incinerated, or turned into a giant blueberry, but they might survive all of Wonka’s deathtraps and inherit the whole place.
3. Have them build forts in the backyard: It will prepare them for the fall of civilization.
4. Gaza: Much safer.
5. Coal mines: It will help them develop a strong work ethic, which is something you don’t get in public school!
6. Make them a child actor on a Disney Channel show: If they’re going to be scarred for life, you might as well make some money off of it.
7. Send them out into the woods with a hatchet: Unlike public school, this scenario allows them to protect themselves.
8. Have them do anything else, literally anything: Just don’t send them to public school, for goodness’ sake!
With so many options to choose from, it’s plain to see that for kids who don’t go to public school, the possibilities are endless. And much, much safer, too.”

“Female bystander pinned robber to the ground after he fired ‘machine gun’ during struggle with victim: Chicago police report”
December 13, 2023 9:26 AM CWBChicago Irving Park
CHICAGO — An armed robber who fired a “machine gun” while struggling with a male victim on the Northwest Side met his match when a female bystander intervened and pinned both men to the ground until Chicago police arrived. Kamahri Blount, 19, is now detained to await trial after appearing before Judge Susana Ortiz.
Blount allegedly walked up to a 29-year-old man in front of the victim’s home in the 4100 block of West Berteau around 7:24 a.m. Sunday. “What you got?” Blount allegedly asked as he “pointed a machine gun at him and demanded his belongings,” prosecutors said in a detention petition. The victim handed over his phone and then lunged at Blount, prosecutors continued, and the men began to physically fight.
During the struggle, Blount “fired the machine gun,” prosecutors said. No injuries were reported, but the gunshot attracted the attention of a 25-year-old woman who was across the street. She decided to get involved.

(Kamahri Blount | Chicago Police Department)
The detention petition said she “witnessed the struggle and pinned both defendant and victim to the ground as law enforcement arrived.” Blount struck the woman in the head with his MAC-10 during the struggle and bit the robbery victim on the hands and face, prosecutors allege. They were both treated for minor injuries at Swedish Covenant Hospital.
Prosecutors charged Blount with discharging a firearm during an armed robbery, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, and two counts of aggravated battery in a public place.”

I was thinking about this deal in CO, whether people can do a write-in…this article is from 2016 when Gardner in CO wanted to write in Pence for President:
EXCERPT: “”What happens if I write-in a vote for Mike Pence?” Denver7 reporter Marshall Zelinger asked Colorado’s Deputy Secretary of State Suzanne Staiert. “Your vote won’t count because Mike Pence hasn’t filed an intent to run as a write-in candidate,” said Staiert. “In Colorado, you have to file that intent to run, in order for a vote for a write-in to count.”
“So, all these years when someone writes in any name under ‘write-in,’ that may not have counted,” asked Zelinger. “Most likely, it did not count,” said Staiert.”

President Trump RIGHT NOW can invoke a three-part platform that would swing SIGNIFICANT parts of inner cities to him.
1) Immediate end via his AG to all sanctuary city politics; 2) Deportation of all illegal criminals starting with the cities first; 3) an immediate “education initiative” of school choice.
This you won’t like, but I think to make it sell in inner cities you’d have to have this: federal support of this ed initiative (to counteract teacher’s union money). Not sure exactly how that would look, but it would be a tiny price to pay to win the cities for good.

Migrant Industrial Complex…good name for the grifters and scammers
entire article
This week, New York City Mayor Eric Adams warned of “extremely painful” cuts to city services to offset the money going to shelter and feed migrants. But even worse is how the money is being wasted. Migrants complain the prepared meals delivered to them three times a day — including chicken alfredo, beef enchiladas and even special halal meals for Muslims — aren’t to their liking or aren’t hot enough. They’re throwing the food away.
Thousands of dollars’ worth of meals are landing in dumpsters. It’s an insult to taxpayers and every family that scrimps to afford groceries.
Worse, taxpayers are paying rip-off prices for these meals, eaten or not.
Crisis Profiteering
The only winners are the ever-expanding migrant-industrial complex — the advocates posing as do-gooders while they profiteer off a crisis.
DocGo, a company with a no-bid contract to shelter and care for migrants, is allowed to bill the city up to $11 per meal, or $33 a day per migrant. That adds up to $3,960 a month for a migrant family of four.
That’s four times what a needy American family of four gets under Uncle Sam’s SNAP food assistance program.
Is it because migrants’ meals are prepared? No. Prepared meals for airline passengers — supplied by companies such as Flying Food Group and Gate Gourmet — cost about $4 for economy class, less than half the cost of migrants’ meals. Charging $11 is price gouging.
Migrants complain about rotten food. The worst rot is inside the Adams administration’s handling of this emergency.
Under a 1981 court-enforced agreement between New York City and advocates for homeless people, the city must provide every homeless person with shelter and “access to three nutritional meals a day.” Applying this to people who arrive on the city’s doorstep from other countries is absurd and should be challenged. Until then, complying with the agreement does not require providing plates of meat and potatoes served up hot.
Under the 1981 agreement, the city could give migrants vouchers or debit cards to pay bodegas, fast-food outlets and street vendors. Migrants staying at the Roosevelt Hotel can be seen bringing in bags of food after they’ve trashed the city-provided meals. The current meal service is a scam draining the city’s resources while enriching the burgeoning migrant care industry.
Taking New York Taxpayers for a Ride
Long before the migrant crisis, shelter operators were already taking New York taxpayers for a ride. In 2021, the New York Post detailed how the CEO of CORE Services Group, a nonprofit with multimillion-dollar contracts with the city, made over $1 million a year for himself under the veneer of running a charity. He set up for-profit subsidiaries to provide food, security services and building maintenance, which paid him and his family members hefty salaries.

The migrant crisis gives profiteers an opportunity to go in for the kill. At a New York City Council hearing last March, an Adams administration official was asked why meals for migrants cost so much more than meals provided to homeless New Yorkers. The slick answer was that “emergencies are going to cost more.”
It costs $394 per day to shelter and feed a migrant, compared with $254 for homeless New Yorkers under the care of the Department of Homeless Services. More than 50% more than already inflated costs.
Fix the Rot
Migrants complain about rotten food. The worst rot is inside the Adams administration’s handling of this emergency.
Who is going to fix this? Not the city’s comptroller, Brad Lander. He suggests more of the money spent on contracts should go to “minority and women-owned businesses.” Spreading out the spoils.
Look to federal law enforcement. In October, the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York charged the CEO of a nonprofit — Childrens Community Services — and his business associate of operating a $50 million network of “fly-by-night companies” that bought meals, furniture and other goods from vendors, marked them up and made a killing at the taxpayers’ expense. That was under the previous mayor’s watch.
Now the stakes are higher, as thousands of migrants arrive weekly. Instead of making “extremely painful cuts” to the services all New Yorkers rely on, Adams should take a hatchet to the profiteering migrant-industrial complex. If Adams won’t, the feds should move in.

seeing headlines…CA starts process to remove Trump from ballot.
then Texas and Florida consider removing Bdiden from ballot–siting the millions of illegals invaders he’s letting in and his cognitive decline.
SCOTUS needs to weigh in quickly.
the issue being brought up is Colorado declared j6 an insurrection–there was no trial, no verdict backing this up. and if that’s going to stand, then republican states can declare biden incompetent or not fulfilling his oath to defend our country
