True to their name, Bohemian Waxwings wander like bands of vagabonds across the northern United States and Canada in search of fruit during the nonbreeding season. High-pitched trills emanate from the skies as large groups descend on fruiting trees and shrubs at unpredictable places and times. These regal birds sport a spiky crest and a peach blush across their face. Unlike the familiar Cedar Waxwing, they have rusty feathers under the tail and white marks on the wings.

Bohemian Waxwing’s nomadic nature makes it difficult to predict if and when they might show up in your yard to visit a platform feeder. But they are fruit connoisseurs, so planting a native tree or shrub that holds its fruit late into the fall and winter may bring in any that pass through your area. Find out more about what this bird likes to eat and what feeder is best with the Project FeederWatch Common Feeder Birds tool.
Bohemian Waxwings are movers. One waxwing banded by researchers in British Columbia was recovered 13 months later in South Dakota. Another individual flew 280 miles in 11 days.
Bohemian Waxwings, unlike many songbirds, do not hold breeding territories, and they also don’t have a true song. Bohemian Waxwings communicate with high-pitched calls as they roam around in large groups looking for fruit.
Only three species of waxwings exist in the world, the Bohemian Waxwing of North America and Eurasia, the Cedar Waxwing of North America, and the Japanese Waxwing of eastern Asia.
Bohemian Waxwings have an uncanny ability to find fruit nearly everywhere, almost like they have a GPS tracker for berries. Flocks sometimes turn up in desert areas, find an isolated shrub, devour its fruit in minutes, and move on.
Waxwings have red, waxy tips on some of their wing feathers and yellow tips on the tail. The color comes from carotenoid pigments found in the fruit waxwings eat. As the birds get older, the waxy tips get bigger.
The oldest recorded Bohemian Waxwing was at least 5 years and 10 months old. Researchers banded the individual in 1968 in Saskatchewan and recovered the same individual in 1973.

The bohemian wanderings of this waxwing make them a little unpredictable to find. The best place for most people to see them is during migration and winter (September–March) in the northern United States and Canada, when they come south from their breeding range and move around in search of fruit. Check dense patches of fruiting shrubs like mountain ash and listen for their high-pitched trills. Watch the skies for tight flocks that descend en masse towards fruiting trees and shrubs. If you see or hear a group of American Robins or Cedar Waxwings, check the flock for Bohemian Waxwings as they sometimes flock together.

It might have something to do with your browser – that’s never happened to me, either here or at M’s. I hope hubby is feeling better and he was able to sleep. Thankfully, we didn’t get any of the possible snow they predicted and temps should go up from here for a while. 19 at the moment and I assume cloudy since I can’t see any stars.

Birds are beautiful and entertaining. Cedar waxwings come down to S GA and N FL this time of year to eat the holly and other tree and shrubbery berries.
Last time I was home, a russet capped chipping sparrow came to the kitchen window to check out the little pottery sparrow that I keep on the window sill. It fluttered outside the window for a minute or two trying to get the ceramic bird’s attention.

Morning GA!
how pretty!!
when we moved here the older man (now deceased) who lived on the road year round, regaled us with tales of his hummers…how every year they would fly to his windows to say hello and do the same before they migrated in the fall. I thought it was a cute story–till we started putting up feeders and lo and behold they did the same with us!

The excellent article on Bohemian Waxwings could double for Cedar Waxwings.

🚨🚨THE RINO RAT RACE TO TAKE KEVIN MCCARTHY’S SOON TO BE VACANT SEAT IN CALIFORNIA AND FILL IT WITH ANOTHER TRUMP HATER🚨🚨
Kevin McCarthy is leaving the @HouseGOP
at the end of this year, but that not stopping him from continuing his efforts to sabotage President Trump and his America First movement heading into 2024 by stopping a Trump loyalist from replacing him in #CA20.
After his long assumed heir and apprentice Shannon Grove @ShannonGroveCA
surprisingly declined to run for his vacant seat late Sunday night, Team McCarthy and the @CAGOP
were left scrambling to find an establishment stooge and McCarthy loyalist to throw onto the ballot to run against @DavidGiglioCA
.
They turned back to Assemblyman Vince Fong, who had previously declined to run for the seat and already filed and qualified to be re-elected to the State Assembly. Just like Kevin McCarthy, Vince Fong is a major CAGOP RINO who despises President Trump. Kevin McCarthy @SpeakerMcCarthy
endorsed Fong this morning to succeed him.
The problem is, Fong is legally not allowed to file to run for Congress under CA Law since he’s already qualified to run for reelection to the Assembly. CA law prohibits him from removing his name from that race and also bars candidates from running for 2 separate offices on the same ballot.
Apparently, after spending years criticizing Democrats for refusing to abide by election laws, @SpeakerMcCarthy
, the @CAGOP
and the Kern Country Recorder have no problem breaking election laws to stop an America First Trump loyalist candidate from running unopposed and winning.
As a contingency plan, they have also recruited Tulare County Sheriff Mike Bordeaux to file paperwork to run in case the Secretary of State denies Fong for trying to break California election law. Bordeaux, another McCarthy loyalist, is a moderate on immigration and believed “it’s not the job of local and state law enforcement to enforce immigration law.”
They are also kicking the tire on a couple other potential McCarthy allies to add at the last minute if Sheriff Bourdeaux backs out. Devon Mathis, Andreas Borgeas, Johnny Amaral, Clint Olivier, and Andy Vidak are other names being tossed around to potentially run against @DavidGiglioCA
.
They plan to fund any or all of these candidates by tapping the same McCarthy loyalist local mega donors, including John Harris, Richard Spencer and others who threw lavish fundraisers for @RonDeSantis
’s embarrassing presidential campaign this year, and also donated to Tim Scott and @NikkiHaley
’s presidential campaigns.
As I have told everyone from the start, Kevin McCarthy and everyone associated with him are not allies of President Trump. They hate President Trump and are snakes in the grass who need to be removed from GOP politics.
We all remember the lesson behind the snake parable, right?

so on top of being a murderer, Byrd is a deadbeat, 2 time bankruptcy weasel who didn’t know how to handle a firearm and owes $56,000 to the IRS? with the R’s in charge of the house (however small that majority is) why does he still have a job?????
entire article
With a substantial number of new Internal Revenue agents, surely one can go after Capitol Police Captain Michael Byrd for the $56,365.71 he has owed IRS since 2019. A recent call to Prince George’s County Courts, MD, confirmed that the lien has not been paid.
A news article finally identified Lt. Michael Leroy Byrd of Brandywine, MD, seven months after he shot and killed Ashli Babbitt on January 6, 2021. The Babbitt family attorney, Terry Roberts, said that if Byrd were White, instead of Black, he would have been identified immediately. He said race was “clearly a factor” in hiding Byrd’s identity.
Byrd told fellow officers the next day that he would be treated differently because of his rank as a lieutenant. And he was. He was not fired as he should have been.
But he had problems before that. In 2019 Byrd was the commander of the House Chambers section of the Capitol Police. He made news when he left his loaded firearm in a public visitor’s center bathroom. His Glock-22 had no manual safety to prevent unintended firing. That made the incident particularly concerning. The gun was discovered later in a routine check by another officer.
I stumbled across this tax deadbeat while working with author Jack Cashill in my role as a licensed private investigator. Although the court tax filing listed Byrd’s previous address, those crack IRS investigators should have found him as easily as I did. If they contact me, I’ll be happy to share his new address.
After he shot and killed 14-year Air Force veteran Ashli Babbitt on January 6, 2021, Byrd had plenty of opportunity to save money. Documents obtained by Judicial Watch show that then Lieutenant Byrd and a pet stayed in a “Distinguished Visitor Suite” at the Presidential Inn at Andrews Air Force Base from July 8, 2021, through January 28, 2022. While living off the largess of the taxpayers, Byrd also collected $122,000 through a GoFundMe account. Defendants accused in the Capitol riot turned to Christian sites to raise money for legal fees.
Other interesting court filings for Byrd include two bankruptcies and two foreclosures. His 1999 Chapter 7 bankruptcy discharged all his debt. In 2009 Byrd filed for Chapter 13, which allows people to make payments on debts, but changed that to Chapter 7 to rid himself of those responsibilities. According to bankruptcy court documents, his income for 2009 was $142,144.
The Trustee’s Final Report showed be paid $14,547 to clear debts of $1,237,680. Lawyers will be relieved to know that the trustee got her $2,393 fee from that amount.
He lost his house to the bank and the U.S. Senate Federal Credit Fund lost $20,555 for a car they financed. Despite foreclosures and bankruptcies, Byrd was able to purchase a $520,000 house in 2019.
In a primetime interview with Lester Holt, Byrd said: “I was very afraid that day.” Very. Afraid. The fearsome Ashli Babbitt was 5’2”, weighed 115 pounds and was unarmed.
A photo shows Byrd waving his gun around in the House chamber before he even went into the lobby where he killed Babbitt. Lawyer Terry Roberts, said: “If I was a congressman, I’d be very concerned about him carrying a gun around me.”
“I tried to wait as long as I could,” Byrd told Holt. “I hoped and prayed no one tried to enter through those doors. But their failure to comply required me to take the appropriate action to save the lives of members of Congress and myself and my fellow officers.”
Afraid or not, Byrd was promoted to captain with a salary of around $200,000 a year. Perhaps he will now be able to pay the IRS.

If he showed up on the House side of the Hill instead of the Senate side, then the Sergeant-at-Arms could have arrested him. They are explaining that on Fox – the subpoena power doesn’t cross that line between the House and the Senate.

Blast from the past….IDK what got me thinking about ResoleAmerica (where I worked in VA) but I decided for shits and giggles to see if they were still in business. Still on the net so I called. The owner, Edwin, answered and we had a nice chat. We had about 10 employees back then but now it is down to just him and Oltar, who is the shoe modification specialist. John, the VP with whom I worked closely, has retired and he and his wife moved to NC. It’s always interesting for me to see what’s happened to people from way-back-then.

Maybe a tad bit fondly but I worked mostly with John, who was a long time partier. I heard some pretty interesting stories about some of HIS shenanigans! LOL – Edwin didn’t quite know how to take me. I was working on a week-end and had a Josh Groban CD playing full blast. Edwin caught me by surprise (I wasn’t expecting anyone else to be there) when he came around the corner and commented that the song I was listening to was in Italian. I said yeah, I know, but it’s still a beautiful song. He just chuckled, shook his head and walked away. Early on, when I was doing the shipping/receiving, he had to run interference between me and Santos until we came to an agreement about the music being played in the back. He wanted to blast Spanish music, whereas I wanted country or rock-n-roll. LOL
Edwin, President, did all the background structural corporate and bookkeeping stuff whereas John, VP, was in charge of marketing, publicity and coming up with new business arenas. He was the one who got the idea of rebuilding military boots so they “feel like running shoes.” We used to get huge boxes of desert boots from cadets at the military academies. We also had one veteran who had special iron plates that had to be inserted into the soles of his boots – he had stepped on a landmine and injured his feet. He would send all of his new boots with the insert provided by his podiatrist.
We were also one of the only companies in the US that could still repair/resole fine Italian shoes with the super thin leather soles. I would guess they still can since Oltar was the specialist in that field.

“Mental Fortitude for 5G Warriors—Practical Mental Exercises for Digital Soldiers”

AMERICAN HYPNOTIST
DEC 13, 2023
EXCERPT: “Greetings Fellow Digital Soldiers and Patriots,
Today we’re going to talk about how to intentionally redesign your consciousness for maximum effectiveness as a 5G soldier (for the record, I’m using the term “soldier” in this article as a poetic euphemism for truth teller).
You see, we’re in a “single grain of rice may tip the scale” scenario right now. Though I believe America is in for a glorious future, there remains a huge potential for damage to come to our lives in the interim. Now is not a time to sit on one’s hands—we must prepare, and, to the best of our ability, assist others to prepare as well.
Fundamentally, what this requires is a hardcore devotion to the truth above all things. We must set aside our distractions and our grievances—we must learn to scroll through social media with an attitude of unbreakable stoicism. Nothing matters other than the mission to restore our republic, the safety of our families, and our relationship with God; there is simply no time anymore for anything else.
Many years ago, I stumbled upon a book called the Sacred Way of the Warrior, and though I no longer have that tome in my possession (and don’t recall the author or publisher) there was one line from that book that made a huge difference in my life. To paraphrase, it said that a true warrior is in touch with the essential goodness of existence—a “warrior” who has lost touch with this essential goodness is not a warrior at all, only a mercenary.
America has been captured, in a sense, by low-life mercenaries. But does that mean the American Dream is somehow invalidated? Absolutely not! You cannot corrupt an ideal, and as long as said ideal finds a home in the hearts of men and women, then it remains alive, vital, like a dormant ember ready to burst into a flame upon contact with the right materials.
With all the above said, let’s talk about how to transform our inner lives so that we can participate in the effort to rescue our republic in the highest possible capacity, amidst the present 5G war.
Self Help For Digital Soldiers—No one has ever, to the best of my knowledge, written a “self-help” guide for us Digital Soldiers. The self-help world is, admittedly, rather cringe-inducing… going into the hypnosis business, I’ve had to hold my nose while perusing much of the material from that world. But alas, there are some real pearls of wisdom out there that you can find if you look hard enough. As they often say, I did so you don’t have to!
What follows is a distillation of some of the most powerful ideas I’ve ever found regarding transforming oneself—adjusted for use by Digital Soldiers. I promise that you possess untapped potential of potentially gigantic proportions—indeed, of this I have zero doubt. Consider for a moment how miraculous it is that your body can coordinate 30 trillion cells worth of activity every single moment of every day … are you starting to see the vast, powerful intelligence that is inherent within you?
You’re Already a Hypnotist, Just Like Me….
