New Hampshire — La Salette Christmas Festival of Lights in Enfield, NH

This year, the annual Christmas lights display at the Shrine of Our Lady La Salette in Enfield, New Hampshire isn’t just offering light; it’s offering hope during a dark time. The website reads, “Despite the pandemic, the war in Ukraine, natural disasters, climate change, and political turmoil this year’s festival will proclaim ‘Jesus Christ-the living light.’ Generations of men and women have all declared that, even in times of darkness, his “living light” is still shining ahead of us all”. As such, the Shrine of Our Lady La Salette named this year’s display “Christ: Living Light.” Running from November 24 until January 1 the La Salette Christmas Festival of Lights is one of the oldest light displays throughout the Granite State. New Jersey — Storybook Land in Egg Harbor Township, NJ

Open from November 19 to December 30, Storybook Land is now open for the holiday season, offering the Christmas Fantasy with Lights event. New Mexico — River of Lights in Alburquerque, NM

Throughout the U.S., there is no Christmas lights display quite like the River of Lights in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Running from November 26 through December 30, this event will host over 700 light displays, animated and 3D sculptures and millions of twinkling lights! Purchase a timed ticket starting at $14 Mondays through Thursdays and $17 Fridays through Sundays.

New York — The Shops at Hudson Yards in Manhattan, NY

In New York, New York, everyone tends to flock to the illuminated angels at the Channel Gardens at Rockefeller Center because they’re free to visit (of course, if you want to skate underneath the tree at The Rink at Rockefeller Center, that’ll cost you about $33, not including rentals). But if you want to beat the crowds and escape the weather, check out The Shops at Hudson Yards instead.

Outside of The Shops, the lights display continues with over 2 million twinkling lights across The Plaza, Edge, and Vessel, as well as almost 1,000 decorated trees across The Plaza.

Other honorable mentions throughout Manhattan include visiting the Saks Fifth Avenue outdoor light display and taking a quick trip on the D train to Dyker Heights, Brooklyn.

North Carolina— The Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC

In Asheville, NC, there’s the 8,000-acre Biltmore Estate—America’s largest home, which was built back in 1895. It’s worth visiting all year round solely for its historical significance, but come the holiday season, it’s all the more magical. From November 4 to January 7, visitors can explore the estate’s luminary-lit pathways, glowing candles reflected in thousands of ornaments and warm, flickering fireplaces starting at $119 per ticket.

North Dakota — Spring Lake Park Holiday Lights Drive in Spring Lake Park, ND

The Spring Lake Park Holiday Lights Drive in North Dakota is one of the most unique light displays there is. After all, the Holiday Lights Drive has hosted several different themed nights in the past—from LEGO Night and Snoopy Gives Back to Dinosaur Night and the Grinch Gives Back Night. This year should prove just as unique with different craft nights!

Ohio — Clifton Mill in Clifton, OH

The Historic Clifton Mill, one of America’s largest water-powered grist mills, has been a historical staple of Clifton, OH since 1802. Every holiday season, the Clifton Mill goes all out by transforming into a Christmas village featuring a Santa Claus Museum, a vintage toy collection, and lots and lots of lights.

December 15, 16 and 17 will be designated pedestrian-only nights this year and the cocoa booth is returning for 2022. Each night from December 15 through 24 cups of cocoa and hot cider are free! Pennsylvania — Koziar’s Christmas Village in Bernville, PA

If ever there was a place that really, truly felt like it could be the real North Pole, it’s certainly Koziar’s Christmas Village in Bernville, PA. Nestled in the Pennsylvanian countryside, Koziar’s appears as a quaint and festive village lit up by more than 1 million lights glowing in the night. In town, you’ll find a toy workshop, a bakery, and a post office that only goes back and forth to Santa’s address. Tickets start at $10 for kids, $12 for people ages 11+, and children 3 years old and under can attend for free.

Rhode Island — Bristol Christmas Festival in Bristol, RI

Christmas in Bristol, Rhode Island is unlike any other place… except maybe the North Pole! Light displays as part of the Bristol Christmas Festival and Grand Illumination event have been a part of Bristol since 1987. Throughout town, buildings, churches, trees, and residential homes are lit up in celebration of the season. This year, the Grand Illumination event kicks off on December 3 and is free for everyone who attends. The festival’s annual Christmas Story Time event is going virtual on December 16.

South Carolina — Holiday Festival of Lights in Charleston, SC

At James Island County Park’s Holiday Festival of Lights in Charleston, SC, you’ll drive through three miles of a gorgeous Christmas lights display. The festival features all kinds of lights and animatronics and even has a $3 train ride that will allow you to take it all in. The festival runs nightly from now until December 31. For an additional experience, you can also book a visit with Santa Claus himself and walk away with a 5×7 souvenir photo.

South Dakota — Christmas Nights of Light in Rapid City, SD

South Dakota may be known as the home of Mount Rushmore, but there’s more to the Coyote State than just breathtaking views of the Black Hills. Especially during Christmastime. Come December, the park at Storybrook Island in Rapid City, SD, turns into a winter wonderland as part of the city’s Christmas Nights of Light event. Kids will love the storybook characters walking around, drinking cocoa or cider, and looking at all the charming lights. Admission is $4 per person and runs every Friday, Saturday and Sunday until December 31.

Tennessee — Cheekwood Estates & Gardens in Nashville, TN

The Holiday LIGHTS event at Cheekwood Estates & Gardens in Nashville was voted the best local event and festival in 2019. This year is no different! Still a beloved light display by plenty of locals, Cheekwood Estates & Gardens offers a one-mile walking path of glowing lights against a backdrop of the gardens. Kids and adults alike will enjoy taking pictures by the iconic poinsettia tree and indulging in the s’more and bar stations. The Holiday LIGHTS event runs from November 19 until January 8.

Texas — Austin’s Trail of Lights in Austin, TX

The Lonestar State is home to Austin’s Trail of Lights in Austin, TX—a literal trail of lights that features more than 70 Christmas-themed displays, two million lights, an artisans marketplace, and some of the city’s most beloved food trucks. Pricing varies depending on the date you choose to go, and admission is free on certain dates.

Utah — Christmas in Color in South Jordan, UT

This year, Utah’s Christmas in Color drive-through display has adapted to the times, ultimately becoming the Socially Safe Drive-Thru Animated Light Show! Light tunnels, a meteor shower of lights and wintry scenes galore! That’s what you’ll find at Oglebay’s Winter Festival of Lights in Wheeling, West Virginia. Running from now until January 8, Oglebay’s Winter Festival of Lights: Sounds of the Season is celebrating this holiday season with its annual six-mile drive over 300 acres. There are 90 lighted scenes throughout Oglebay’s Winter Festival of Lights, utilizing more than 1 million energy-efficient LED lights.

Wisconsin — Country Christmas in Pewaukee, WI

For the largest outdoor drive-through Christmas light display in all of Wisconsin, be sure to check out County Christmas from now until January 1. With several different locations to explore—from the Country Christmas Trail featuring mile-long drive-through animated figurines and holiday scenes to the Christmas Village—tickets start at $25 and range to $45 depending on vehicle type.     When the kids were young, we did take them to Bernville to see the lights–it was spectacular!!

    1. Morning, Pat! Crazy! I’ve got 32 on the thermometer here and may hit 50. We’ll have a brief period of ups and downs before the real hammer of winter falls. WP is psycho! Later in the day, everything went back to our most recent “normal,” at M’s at least. Let’s see what happens now.

    It’s hard to forget how Colbert shamelessly shilled covid vaccines for years. He required guests to be fully vaccinated for covid when the show resumed taping in person in May 2021. And he even cheered on vaccine mandates and forced testing for federal workers. “You hear that, anti-vaxxers? Osha is comin’ for you!” Colbert said.

    Last year, he took Dr. Fauci to Walgreens to get a covid booster during an episode of The Late Show (October 6, 2022).

    But now there is growing evidence that suggests appendicitis is a covid vaccine injury. In fact, the CDC’s Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS), which is widely known for underreporting vaccine injuries, reveals at least 1,939 people developed appendicitis and required surgery after getting covid shots.

    Both clinical trials and observational studies have suggested a possible association between appendicitis and COVID-19 vaccines, according to the NIH National Library of Medicine.

    The earliest report in the database, from August 25, 2021, observed “a mild imbalance” between vaccinated and unvaccinated groups in Pfizer’s covid vaccine trials. The “imbalance” found that those who received Pfizer’s covid vaccine had a risk ratio of 1.4 for appendicitis, suggesting 5 cases per 100,000 persons….”

And it’s clear vaccines were the PRIMARY CAUSE of cancer in the U.S. before they rolled out the new “warp speed” death jabs. And of course, now we have “turbo cancers.” Better call that “warp speed cancer.”

We did this for obvious reasons, since in-utero exposure counts as “vaccine exposure.” And the so-called “vitamin” K-shot (given at birth) is packed with aluminum (it comes with a “black box” warning that it should ONLY be used for acute bleeding emergencies) and it also contains several other serious toxins. The aluminum is a common “adjuvant” in vaccines, known to “trigger” the immune system.

    The single most “effective” preventative health measure anyone could possibly take, is to completely avoid vaccines and ALL related pharma products. Continued indulgence in these injections are on a trajectory to collapse this Republic within this decade. Based upon the current accelerations in vaccine-caused deadly diseases and disabilities, this is a mathematical CERTAINTY.

    We MUST stop this NOW. So just because you happen to know, and have stopped taking jabs for yourself and your own kids, doesn’t mean we can salvage our Nation. You must speak out. You must warn others, even if it’s “uncomfortable.”

    ENTIRE ARTICLE @ TheFederalist: “On the heels of linking parent support for children’s innate sex with child abuse, the Biden administration is poised to force every recipient of federal grants into transgender policies. The proposed rules would expand all federal laws that ban Americans from respecting the differences between men and women to include homosexual and transsexual privileges, or “sexual orientation and gender identity” preferences. More than 100 such laws exist.

    The proposed rules would also delete existing language requiring all federal grants to adhere to the Constitution in “protecting free speech, religious liberty, public welfare, the environment, and prohibiting discrimination,” according to the Center for Political Justice (CPJ). If such rules pass, they would license government discrimination against religious Americans, which is unconstitutional.

    Federal contracts and grants employ more people than the federal government does directly. In 2022, federal grants were worth $700 billion, nearly what American taxpayers spend on the U.S. military. This “sweeping overhaul” of Office of Management and Budget rules would “apply across federal agencies that describe how grants and cooperative agreements should be administered and audited,” CPJ says. In other words, these rules apply to every one of the hundreds of federal agencies.

    This rules change is one of dozens the Biden administration has been making to apply the 2020 Bostock v. Clayton County Supreme Court decision to every aspect of federal power. That 6-3 decision, authored by Justice Neil Gorsuch, whom queer activists targeted as the likely swing vote, inserted “sexual orientation and gender identity” privileges into the word “sex” in a law banning “sex discrimination” in employment.

    In that decision, the court overrode 60 years of precedents in 30 of 30 courts where such cases were tried to fatuously pretend that Congress in the 1960s meant to include queer entitlements in laws that resulted in female entitlements — years before the word “transgender” was coined and in a time when homosexuals could not get security clearances and were still being separated from the military due to their sexual attraction to fellow soldiers.

    Even LGBT activists spent decades between the 1964 Civil Rights Act and 2020’s Bostock demanding a queer carve-out in federal “antidiscrimination law.” That means not even queer activists believed the Civil Rights Act protected homosexual, transsexual, or any other queer identity — until it was expedient to lie about that because the Supreme Court would sanction it.

    “The entire Federal Judiciary will be mired for years in disputes about the reach of the Court’s reasoning,” Justices Samuel Alito and Clarence Thomas wrote in their Bostock dissent. They were right.

    This federal grants regulation that would void Americans’ First Amendment rights will be one of the dozens immediately sued in federal court as a direct result of the Biden administration’s Bostock-citing queerings of federal law. Courts could instead be hearing other cases that actually uphold Americans’ rights had the Supreme Court not violated the Constitution by legislating from the bench in Bostock.

    CPJ notes that public comment on this regulation is open until Dec. 4, “and can be submitted easily via http://www.regulations.gov (type OMB-2023-0017-0001 into the search box to find this NPRM).”

    LGBT extremists’ goal is to use every lever of federal power to force Americans to do and say what LGBT activists want. That is un-American and totalitarian: It assumes the right to tell people that they may not act as if they believe anything other than what government officials tell them. That’s why there should be no “antidiscrimination” laws: It’s none of any government’s d-mned business whom Americans choose to hire or fire or admit into clubs, or any other exercise of free association. That’s what freedom means.

    People who want to be free have to accept that sometimes it results in speech and actions we don’t like but are perfectly within every human’s natural rights. Either everyone gets these freedoms, or we edge toward a totalitarian system in which government asserts the right to tell you what you must say, who you have to let into places women and children undress, and who you must be friends and neighbors with.

    Americans aren’t racists anymore. It’s been 60 years since the Civil Rights Act. We should get our freedom of association back now before its erasure destroys the rest of the Bill of Rights and Constitution — our remaining bulwarks for preserving a free people.”

    “I will propose that a number of small groups are wound up,” Darmanin said on Tuesday, warning that “a mobilization within the extreme right” that is willing to fight back against migrants stabbing children to death “would have us tip into civil war.” The French minister named the Martel Division as one organization, while the other two groups remain undisclosed.

    Right-wing activists clashed with police in Romans-sur-Isère as authorities sought to restrict the movements of the angry protesters who had traveled from across France. Around 30 of the attendees were arrested and at least six have already been imprisoned. The scenes show a striking similarity with the civil unrest reported in Ireland last week following a stabbing spree by an Algerian migrant which left three children hospitalized and a care worker who sought to protect the minors fighting for her life.

    A similar response to the French government was issued by Ireland’s leadership, which sought to condemn the “far-right” activists who took to the streets to express their fury at the attack and shine a light on the human consequence of Western liberal governments’ open borders policies.”

My friend, Tom’s, sister and BIL had a beautiful place on Lake Anna in VA and they had a fully enclosed boat-house with a pontoon boat and jet skis. I’ve got pics of our fishing trip we took one week-end and stayed there.

    Two alleged Islamists were arrested by German police on Tuesday because Federal intelligence agents say they had set a time and place for a terrorist attack to “kill as many as possible”.

    A 15-year-old Afghan-German dual national and a 16-year-old Russian citizen Chechen were arrested on Tuesday in North Rhine-Westphalia and Brandenburg over an alleged plot to attack a Christmas market with either an incendiary device or a truck. Germany’s Die Welt cites intelligence service sources who claim the pair had discussed their plans and had agreed on a particular Christmas Market and a date in early December to launch the attack.

    Tagesspiegel claims to have exclusively learnt that the target was the Cologne Christmas Market, close to where one of the two was arrested. The teenagers are reported to have been Islamic State sympathisers who shared their plans on Telegram and spoke of their desire to kill “as many as people”. As well as the “concrete” Christmas Market plan, they also discussed the possibility of striking a Synagogue, it was said.

    Chechens have become an increasingly prominent part of the European terror scene recently, particularly in France which has the largest population of Chechen ‘refugees’ in Europe. School teacher Samuel Paty, who showed an image of the Islamic prophet Muhammad during a class on freedom of expression, was beheaded by a Chechen teen in 2020. This year, another Chechen migrant stabbed a teacher to death at a French school, with injuries to the educator’s neck and throat.

    Many other Chechnyans have been arrested on terror charges or are entered onto terror watchlists in recent years.

    The arrested Chechen teen in Germany this week was described in reports as an “extremely violent” individual with an interest in weapons and terrorist organisations.

    If the market intended to be targeted was the central Cologne Market, then it takes place in a square just yards from where the infamous Cologne New Year’s Eve mass sex attacks took place in 2014-15. A terror attack on a Christmas Market is an especially sensitive subject in Germany, which saw one of its most deadly terror attacks ever take place at the Berlin Christmas Market in 2016.

    Islamic State-linked Anis Amri, a Tunisian migrant who entered Europe on a migrant boat to escape a prison sentence for stealing a truck stole another truck in Germany, shooting its driver dead. He then used the stolen vehicle to plough through the city’s Christmas market, killing 13 people. The death toll may well have been higher, but the vehicle was stopped by its automatic brake.
