Scorpio

Passionate, independent, and unafraid to blaze their own trail no matter what others think, Scorpio signs make a statement wherever they go. They love debates, aren’t afraid of controversy, and won’t back down from a debate. They also hate people who aren’t genuine, and are all about being authentic—even if authentic isn’t pretty.

Because of all of these traits, a Scorpio can seem intimidating and somewhat closed off to those who don’t know them well. But what people don’t realize is that even though Scorpio may seem brusque, as a water sign, they also are very in tune with their emotions, and sometimes may find themselves caught up in their feelings.

This leads to Scorpio’s central conflict: Their feelings are what drives them and strengthens them, but their mutability can scare them and make them feel vulnerable and out of control. Because of this conflict, Scorpios, like their namesake, the scorpion, put up an outer shell and may seem prickly.

But once people get beyond the shell, they find a loyal, loving person whose passion knows no bounds. Scorpio dives into all life has to offer with 110% enthusiasm. A Scorpio will be your most loyal friend, most dedicated employee—and your worst enemy, if they want to be.

In love, Scorpio can seem cautious at first, and may set up a series of “tests” for their potential partner, deciding to cross them off their list if they don’t meet their demands. The trouble is, they tend to keep their partner out of the loop on what, exactly, they want, making their partner feel like they have to play mind reader. If a Scorpio and their partner can get past this initial hurdle, the connection will be intense, in both highs and lows. A Scorpio will love harder and fight harder than any other sign, and wants their partner to be absolutely honest. They will be—even if it’s not what the partner wants to hear. In the bedroom, Scorpio is generous, imaginative, and always up for anything—all night long.

Scorpio in Love

Ruled by fiery Mars and destructive Pluto, a Scorpio in love has one mode for relationships—and that’s full-on. Scorpio loves romance and passion, including up-all-night fights. Scorpio never does anything halfway, and believes that true love comes with true fights.

Scorpio Friendship Style

What Are Scorpios Like As Friends? A Scorpio friend will tell you like it is, whether you want to know or not. The good news: You never have to worry about where you stand with a Scorpio; they will let you know.

Scorpio Career, Money & Success Traits

Scorpio’s greatest career strength: Intensity. Scorpio is much happier leading the pack or providing an authentic opinion than being a team player. When Scorpio goes in, they go all in.

Scorpio’s Greatest Gifts

So many other signs spend valuable time and energy beating around the bush, desperately trying to find an approach that makes the fewest waves when it comes to confronting a conflict. Not Scorpio. Blessed with a deep sense of self, Scorpio is always able to say exactly what’s on their mind, even if it’s not what people want to hear. Scorpio is forthright and honest, and those two characteristics commandeer a ton of respect, both at home and at work.

Scorpio’s Greatest Challenges

Repeat after us: It’s all right to cry. Scorpio tries to hard to seem tough that they sometimes cut off their vulnerable side entirely, seeming prickly, uncaring, and cold to outsiders. While expressing emotion is scary, learning how to do it is key for Scorpio, since presenting an “I don’t care” veneer can only work for so long before it gets exhausting!

Scorpio’s Secret Weapon

Their empathy. Also, it may not seem this way at first glance, watchful Scorpio can read a room very quickly and can clue into how everyone else is feeling. Because of this, they can immediately tune into someone who needs TLC and often knows the right thing to say or do to change the mood or tenor of a room when it needs to be changed.

  2. Morning, Pat. Well, surprise, surprise! Looked out on the patio and saw that Wheezer’s food dish was empty so I refilled it. No sign of him at the time. A few minutes later, I looked over and saw what I thought was him but something didn’t look right. When I got up and looked closer, I saw the tail – I opened the door and, when it turned it’s white face up to look at me, I discovered it was a possum chowing down on the cat food.

Oh, hell no!!! It ran away to the west end of the patio and I initially covered the doggie door, then realized he wouldn’t be able to get out. I uncovered it again so he could leave, then came in and got the flashlight to make sure he had gone – I didn’t see him anywhere so I came inside. Within a couple of minutes, there stood Wheezer at the door, looking for some petting and food. They had to run into each other outside, I would think.

When he finished eating, I went out to pick up the bowl and he rubbed against my legs, purring, so I picked him up and set him on my lap in the chair. This time he laid down and rolled over on his side so I could rub his belly. He wanted to follow me in but Jake was right there growling. LOL

      1. I only started leaving the food out recently – before, I was bringing it in after he ate. I’ll not be doing THAT any more!!!

          1. I have no clue…and the gates are pushed shut, altho I suppose it could have squeezed thru the 2″ X 4″ openings in the wire….? Wheezer manages to get thru altho I’ve never seen him doing it….I know he doesn’t come over the gate. I think he comes thru where the fence butts up against the house – probably where this critter got thru, I suppose. That was where Jake always used to head when I was letting him out years ago.

    NOV 2, 2023

EXCERPT: “Medical malpractice and negligence has remained among the top 3 causes of death in United States for years. ‘Fortunately’ for hospitals, doctors, and other healthcare providers, the industry and its workers have been shielded by state laws and malpractice insurance for medical cases of injury, catastrophic injury, and wrongful death….until yesterday.

In the Scott Schara vs. Ascension Health lawsuit, Scott Schara filed a claim against; Ascension Health (St. Elizabeth’s Hospital), Dr. Gavin Shokar, Dr. David Beck, Dr. Romana Marada, Nurse Hollee McInnis, Nurse Alison Barkholtz, et al. for the wrongful death, medical negligence, violation of informed consent, and battery of his 19-year old daughter, Grace Schara while she was under their ‘medical care’.

What Was Done to Grace While She Was in St. Elizabeth’s Hospital?

On October 13, 2021, 19-year old Grace Schara died under a hospital issued DNR (DO NOT RESUSCITATE) order after being given a combination of IV sedatives including morphine, Precedex, and Ativan over a period of 6 days. These drugs are known as ‘end of life drugs’ and this was all done without her or her power of attorney’s (i.e. her father’s) consent, informed or otherwise….”

According to the EIN press release, yesterday, Judge Mark J. McGinnis rejected virtually all of the motions by the defense to dismiss Schara’s charges against them. “This case is ready to be tried in November,” he said.

The Schara vs. Ascension Medical case is the first of its kind that will redefine the impact and consequences of ‘intent’ in medical death cases. In other words, the healthcare workers at St. Elizabeth’s hospital are accused of maliciously labeling Grace’s patient file as DO NOT RESUSCITATE (DNR) after administering to her a lethal IV cocktail of ‘end of life medications’ known to cause death by inducing heart and lung failure.”

    1. OK – from RedState:

“Unfortunately, what the Clerk didn’t explain was what the case actually is—and Pelosi’s office isn’t revealing that either, or even when they were contacted.

But given the description of “prosecution and defendant,” and knowing that the trial involving the man who attacked Pelosi’s husband is coming and that it’s from a criminal case from the U.S. District Court in the Northern District of California, many were speculating that this subpoena was related to that.

It looks like there was a motion to quash a subpoena for Target 1 in the case that involved Target 1’s testimony. But that was denied….

So I think that’s a reasonable guess, but the speculation is underway because Pelosi is refusing to clarify what it’s about. Jesse Watters outlined some of the possibilities.”

When you hear “borrow”, what do you think that means? Borrow from who?

They are borrowing money from you, your future, your children’s future.

This comes out of notes & bonds.
This comes out of Social Security.
This comes out of pension plans.
    And so much more….

What Mike Johnson is doing I believe is brilliant in regards to offsetting the spending… that is, if he keeps his word.

    $14 Billion for Israel?
Ok, we’re going to take that $14B from the IRS budget.

Trump files emergency request asking appeals court to suspend gag order

Former President Donald Trump on Thursday evening filed an emergency request asking a federal appeals court to suspend a federal judges’s gag order limiting what he can say about his Jan. 6 criminal case.

In a filing to the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia, Trump’s lawyers argued that U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan’s order was unconstitutional and infringed on his ability to speak as a presidential candidate in the 2024 race.

“No court in American history has imposed a gag order on a criminal defendant who is actively campaigning for public office — let alone the leading candidate for president of the United States,” the appeal argued.

“The prosecution’s request for a Gag Order bristles with hostility to President Trump’s viewpoint and his relentless criticism of the government—including of the prosecution itself,” the defense lawyers added. “The Gag Order embodies this unconstitutional hostility to President Trump’s viewpoint. It should be immediately stayed.”

Leading by a wide margin in the GOP presidential polls, the former president had sought the same kind of stay from Chutkan, but was turned down earlier this week.

The judge had issued the gag order last month after prosecutors raised concerns that Trump’s statements could intimidate witnesses or endanger prosecutors.

In a separate statement, the Trump Campaign said Thursday night that the judge’s order and the prosecution’s request smacked of political interference in the 2024 election.

“The Biden Administration chose to indict President Trump in the middle of campaign season in a politically motivated attempt to derail his candidacy, and the First Amendment allows President Trump to speak out against this unconstitutional tyranny,” it said.

“Suggs found herself at the center of a sweeping inquiry by federal prosecutors and Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) agents over possible collusion between Adams’s campaign and the Turkish government, according to a search warrant issued and obtained by The New York Times.
The search warrant revealed an investigation into potential straw donor schemes involving foreign campaign donations. Crimes being probed include “theft of federal funds and conspiracy to steal federal funds, wire fraud and wire fraud conspiracy, as well as campaign contributions by foreign nationals and conspiracy to make such contributions.”

  9. these agencies need to be disbanded and congress needs a set of balls to assume their rightful oversight and duties! EPA is out of control…AGAIN
    FTA
The proposal “is grounded in the best available science,” EPA Administrator Michael Regan said when the proposal was unveiled in January. However, Steve Milloy, a senior legal fellow for the Energy and Environment Legal Institute, disagrees.

“PM 2.5 is the most demonstrable climate fraud going on at the EPA,” Milloy told the DCNF. “There is more than enough scientific research to demonstrate that what EPA is doing here is fraud, and it is really a testament to the corruption of the scientific community.”

If finalized, the regulation would kill jobs and enable the EPA to effectively manage state and local economies because states that are not in compliance with the tightened standards would have to receive approval from the agency to develop new factories and power facilities, Milloy told the DCNF. The update would essentially deny local economies the right to develop, he added.

The states that would be most adversely impacted by a finalized PM 2.5 NAAQS update would be Texas, California, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Nevada, Arizona and Illinois, according to the letter’s text.

“Lowering the current standard so dramatically would create a perverse disincentive for American investment,” the letter concludes. “The EPA’s proposal could force investment in new facilities to foreign countries with less stringent air standards, thereby undermining the administration’s economic and environmental goals.”

The White House did not respond immediately to a request for comment.

          1. Thanks for the good wishes! Got two sewing jobs done this weekend. Mended sleeve on Sally’s Dad’s jacket and made her a denim lap robe – 60″ W x 2 yards 72″ Long. It’s a light weight stretch dark indigo denim and she loves it. It’s easier to ‘wear’ at home for day than putting on jeans and acts as a sheet/light blanket cover at night. She’s got a chambray sheet that she has used this way that goes with a favorite T shirt. https://www.etsy.com/listing/1312275712/cat-sleeping-on-image-of-jean-pocket (she’s got the orange one)

That gave us the idea to make the lap robe out of denim. Now she wants them out of brown, olive and black denim.

The shin strap that I finally got just right (it’s trial and error with no pattern) to hold her lower legs in place – has already gotten caught in Sally’s wheels because they forgot to fasten it. Not the first time. Now I’ve got to mend it again. Other straps had buckles that did not hold up well and I had to replace that with D rings and velcro fasteners. There are pros and cons to every type of fastener and I don’t always get the straps the right length the first time around.

when i was in high school, i made most of my dresses and blouses by that time, so my cousin who lived next door bought an older first car and asked me to make seat covers for it. I was game, till he showed me the fabric he wanted me to use. it was a thin knit–black with white stars–can you imagine??? I said I can make them but they probably won’t last long. still he insisted.
he helped me duct tape the RIPPED seats (I was sure the edges would rub thru the thin material) and i made them. they lasted maybe 2 months. teenage guys are hard on their vehicles…lol
but by then I knew what i was doing and made some more durable ones with a heavier fabric. those lasted till he sold the car…lol

More medical gloves are coming from China, as U.S. makers of protective gear struggle
    November 3, 2023

    https://www.npr.org/sections/health-shots/2023/11/03/1198434566/medical-gloves-china-u-s-makers-personal-protective-gear-struggle?ft=nprml&f=1007

85-foot-tall, dark-gray building stands in southern Virginia, surrounded by grassy fields and rolling blue mountains. This brand-new chemical plant was set up during the pandemic to produce a special type of synthetic rubber that’s needed to make medical exam gloves, the kind used everyday by doctors and nurses.

But so far, this factory has produced nothing.

About 340 miles northeast, in Maryland, another brand-new factory sits idle and unfinished. This one was designed to take that kind of synthetic rubber and transform it into medical gloves. It’s a 735,000-square-foot building full of equipment, but the machines inside of it have not been fully set up.

    Zero gloves have been made.

Farther north, a glove factory in New Hampshire acquired four high-speed production lines, so it could start churning out medical gloves quickly. But those lines have not been completely assembled.

That company recently laid off over 100 workers.

Together, these glove-manufacturing projects got about $290 million in public funding, part of a roughly $1.5-billion investment made by the federal government since the start of the pandemic to boost American production of medical masks, gowns, and gloves, plus the raw materials needed to make them.

The goal was to reduce the reliance on imports from Asia and to help prevent dangerous shortages of these essentials from happening again during future health crises.

But a group of manufacturers says that the effort has stalled — and that some American companies trying to make personal protective equipment (also known as PPE) are facing financial circumstances that threaten them with ruin.

“The commitment the U.S. Government made just three years ago appears to have been abandoned,” executives recently wrote to lawmakers in Congress.

Greg Burel, who directed the federal Strategic National Stockpile for a dozen years, told NPR that having some PPE manufacturing in the United States is “vital” for preparing for any kind of event that would break the normal supply chains and leave countries around the world vying for these critical items.

Asked if the nation was better off now, versus a few years ago, in terms of having reliable access to PPE in a global emergency, Burel said, “No. I don’t think so.”

“What the government has done is invested in this industrial base expansion,” says Burel. “But there are no other particular incentives for the U. S. healthcare marketplace, on a day-to-day basis, to buy product coming out of those expanded manufacturing capabilities.” [because there is no requirement that they buy American; a typical so stupid it must be intentional government program; simple fix: if you get any Medicare/aid funds, you must buy US PPE; should be the same for essential medications; however, there should be competitive bidding between US suppliers – W]

  12. That was interesting….Wheezer woke up and came to the door so I put my jacket on and went outside. I picked him up and sat down in the chair. After some rubbing and petting, he jumped down and started rubbing on my legs; after a minute or so, he jumped back up in my lap for more petting, even laying down. When he jumped down the 2nd time, I went inside to get his food – after I set the bowl down and turned to go inside, he REALLY tried to follow me in, going so far as to put one foot up on the door sill – I had to push him back with my foot. Jake was standing only 2 feet away, too.

He finished eating and went out the doggie door – Jake had been sitting right there at the door watching him and was clearly curious about where he went. I walked over to stand beside him and he looked up at me, then back at the doggie door, leaned over to the left to look past the center post to see if Wheezer was in his chair, looked back at the doggie door, back up at me. He even sat up on his haunches, with his front paws on the bottom of the window, looking for Wheezer, looking up at me and back, over and over.

BREAKING: The Wisconsin House Speaker has advanced Articles of Impeachment filed against State Election Administrator Meagan Wolfe. The articles cite multiple violations of election laws & maladministration during the 2020 election.

The Senate President urged the Assembly Speaker to move forward with impeachment and it’s likely to succeed because Republicans have Supermajorities in both houses.

In the 2020 election Meagan Wolfe enabled voting in nursing homes across Wisconsin without Special Voting Deputies as required by law. This resulted in massive fraud occurring in nursing homes with some reporting over 100% voter turnout.

Meagan Wolfe was also hard at work to get illegal ballot drop boxes all over the state which state courts later found violated the law.

Republicans are finally getting a grip, this is amazing to see.

  16. attack at nuclear facility in SC
    entire article
OCONEE COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina/Gray News) – The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office said deputies are investigating following an incident at the Oconee Nuclear Station Thursday night.

Deputies said they responded to the plant at around 8:05 p.m. after someone reported that a car had driven through the exit side of the gate on the part of the facility facing Highway 183.

According to deputies, once the driver hit the pop-up barricades that plant security activated, they backed the vehicle up and went down a dirt road where Duke Energy security members blocked the car in.

Deputies stated that the driver then drove through a fence after trying to hit the security officers there. There, the driver drove out of the plant’s exit, where he tried to hit a security member’s truck before going back onto Highway 183 and onto a property on Jones Mill Road, where shots were fired. Deputies added that they are currently unsure what the source of the gunshots was.

None of the security staff was injured, Duke Energy said.

The same car showed up an hour before trying to crash through the gate, and the driver was asked to leave, deputies said.,

Deputies said they are currently searching for this suspect. They described his car as a 2002 Toyota Camry that has a license plate from Arkansas with tag number 380VDR.

Anyone with information about this car or the driver is asked to call 911 immediately.

The Oconee Nuclear Station has three nuclear reactors and started generating power 50 years ago on Lake Keowee.

The plant continues to operate safely, officials said.

“Duke Energy has comprehensive security plans and a well-trained security workforce in place. A vehicle entered an administrative gate, but was not able to access the plant due to our multiple layers of security,” Duke Energy said in statement.

But the blame lies SOLELY at the feet of DOJ. Jack Smith brought 2 unprecedented federal cases against a former president within two months of each other. He asked for, and was granted, an expedited trial schedule in D.C. Judge Chutkan gave Trump 7 months to prepare for trial–the typical J6 case goes to trial over a year after indictment.

The classified docs trial represents major obstacles to defense (Trump and 2 co-defendants) as they attempt to view classified discovery in a Miami SCIF the government just set up on October 18. All attorneys had to obtain security clearances.

Discovery is voluminous–1.3 million pages of unclassified, 5,500 pages of classified, and years’ worth of security footage from Trump’s properties.

Further, Smith brought a superseding indictment in classified docs case several weeks after June indictment was handed down, adding another defendant and more charges against Trump.

Smith is playing games–Chutkan lets him, Cannon doesn’t. Which is why she has earned the enmity of corporate media and their “expert” lapdogs.

And now this lawfare has actually flipped itself on its head. And these lawyers, by the way, the lawyers that bring this case against President Trump are from King & Spalding. Do you know who’s a named partner at King and Spalding? Sally Yates, Rod Rosenstein, and Gina Haspel. Do you know who was a named partner at King and Spalding? Christopher Wray, earning $15 million a year. Not a coincidence. Deep State government gangsters are bringing this for sure, like you said, with the help of the RINOs. And what they want to do now is say, oh, President Trump didn’t order the National Guard on January 6 under the Insurrection Act, so now they want a Commander in Chief to deploy military armed assets unilaterally.

Also, these grundoons from yesterday wanted the President to deploy and order the deployment of FBI agents. That’s the position they want the President of the United States to take, even though it doesn’t jive with the legal advice given to us by many brilliant lawyers at the DoD and the White House. And they are so hypocritical, they will take that opposite position because like you said, Steve, the mainstream media will now run with it and say, oh, I didn’t know President Trump could be disqualified. He can’t. It’s totally bogus. But you’re right, none of them are covering the testimony because they hate it when the truth punches them in the face.

Steve Bannon: Do you agree that and Jack Smith, I guess, had access to your J-6 testimony – Is your testimony basically one of the key reasons that Jack Smith can’t and won’t indict President Trump for insurrection?

But one thing is clear, AI- created videos are going to blow all of our minds…”

“We are off to Dallas for a Brownstone Conference and gala this morning. This is the third annual gathering of Brownstone Institute scholars, writers, researchers, fellows, and supporters in historic downtown Dallas, TX and we are super excited about attending. We will be home on Sunday and then we don’t have to travel until next Friday, when we go to the Florida Summit – Food, Family and Medical Freedom in Ocala Florida on November 10.

Then the week after, we fly to Romania to attend the International COVID Summit – where we are invited to speak to the Romanian Parliament. I always enjoy these events, as this conference is built for an international audience. We have lots of speakers from other countries and I get to find out more about what is happening globally. For this one, I feel great honor as well as an odd irony at being invited to speak in the Palace of the Parliament, the second largest building in the world. The construction of which bankrupted the country under the communist rule of Nicolae Ceausescu;dictator of Romania from 1965 until he was overthrown and killed in a revolution in 1989. This building was the final straw for the people – and brought down communist rule.

While at the heritage foundation last week, I foolishly used our passports as identification and somewhere between the building and our parked car, I lost both passports. So, in between home and the airport – is the scramble to try to get replacements. I now have an an appointment in DC on November 14th to get a new one issued. Fingers crossed that all goes well and as promised, a new one can be issued between the 14th and the 16th, when we leave for Romania.

Finally, a bit of eye candy from the farm.”

SkyTrack 7 captured the moment Loudoun County students walked out of school asking the school board to restore girls only and boys only locker rooms, showers and bathrooms.

I’m hearing from some students that their teachers discouraged them from joining the walk out. But in 2022, some teachers and administrators encouraged students to walk out to protest Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s transgender model policies.

  22. appropriations bill passed house to cut nearly 40% of EPA funding…
    Rachel Frazin
    FTA

House Republicans approved legislation Friday that would slash nearly 40 percent of the budget for the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

The funding bill, passed by a 213-203 vote, cuts 39 percent of the EPA’s budget and would be the smallest budget the agency has had in three decades. Republican Reps. Brian Fitzpatrick (Pa.), Mike Lawler (N.Y.) and Marc Molinaro (N.Y.) voted against the bill, while Democratic Rep. Vicente Gonzalez (Texas) was recorded as voting for it.

Republicans have had longstanding complaints about the agency, which takes on pollution, contamination and climate change, arguing that it overreaches.

Rep. Mike Simpson (R-Idaho), who chairs the subcommittee that wrote the bill, characterized the funding reductions it would deliver as necessary to curtail Inflation and the national debt.

“Cutting funding is never easy or pretty, but with the national debt in excess of $33 trillion and inflation at an unacceptable level, we had to make tough choices to rein in federal spending,” Simpson said on the floor Thursday.

The massive funding cut proposed by the GOP has virtually no chance of becoming law in this year’s budget but marks a starting point in negotiations for Republicans as they look to negotiate with Democrats in the Senate on funding the government.

The bill is one of 12 annual government funding bills Republicans hoped to have passed by a Nov. 17 deadline to prevent a shutdown. However, Republicans face a challenge in staying unified on spending as they look to approve the remaining five bills in the tight window.

In addition to the top-line EPA cuts, the GOP bill would also rescind provisions from the climate, tax and health care bill that Democrats passed last year. It targets funding aimed at helping underserved communities combat climate change and pollution.
