This weird Wednesday offering is a residential home in New Mexico and the only detailed descriptions and photos I could find were in an architectural magazine: The Guide to New Mexico Architecture.

This architect’s unusual residence and separate studio gallery are quite special for Albuquerque. The visual complexity of the residence’s unique series of volumes disguises an architectural diagram that is best described from the top down. The top floor is a long, flattened tube placed parallel to the long dimension of this very narrow site. Four cylindrical, hollow pillars (aligned along this long dimension) support this tube and all the major enclosures. A large circular volume engages the western two pillars, and a smaller circular volume engages the eastern two pillars. The visual complexity is accomplished by exposing all the supporting beams and columns and the addition of surface art to walls, balcony railings, window and door treatments, beam ends, and other opportunities that present themselves.

Windows on the south-facing facades of the house take advantage of the long southern exposure of the site. Three light scoops on the northern portion of the third-floor roof capture southern sun in the winter and bring it into the northern part of that volume. The cylindrical library tower was appended to the residence’s southern face in 1990; the dramatically linear studio gallery, built in the 2000s, stands alone—albeit sitting atop a smaller stuccoed structure—just to the north of the residence.

Morning All! when i scheduled this I mistakenly scheduled it for 8:15 am instead of 5:15 am…so let’s hope it eventually shakes out. dang I’m tired!

Morning, lady! Why are you so tired??? You sure you’re ok?? I think I’m back on schedule, even tho it was only 4:30 when I got up. Thankfully, it only got down to 47 last night – wind will start late in the day, I expect. I hope the rain isn’t so heavy that it washes away the fresh dirt Jason put around my mailbox!
I just dropped some e-mail info I got this morning at M’s – you should read it. But this….about the oil….certainly does offer a different perspective, eh??? Israel will NOT give up that oil, I’m betting!
“Piers Morgan Uncensored is joined by Palestinian National Initiative leader Mustafa Barghouti for an open debate on the Hamas attacks on Israel as a result of ongoing tensions between Israel and Palestine in the Gaza strip and whether a peaceful agreement can be reached.
————
Listen, and as you do, put this into the mix. If Israel ever accepts a two state solution, they will be giving up the hundreds of billions (some estimates trillions) of newly found offshore oil wealth in what would be Gaza’s territorial waters, as well as possibly similar oil discoveries in the Golan Heights.”

Well, this is progress. I went out to put GT’s food out – when I opened the door and propped it open, she was sitting not 2 feet away, waiting! She followed me onto the patio – not closely but she came right in. I put the food dish down and walked inside – she immediately walked up, looked inside, and began eating. She ate a LOT yesterday and is doing the same today – I wonder if she’s preggers – not looking any bigger yet. Jake is sitting at the door watching her, meowing plaintively. I was able to get this pic:

I’ve wondered that myself over the years and considered several times getting another cat for company for him, to play with. It would have to be declawed, which is expensive if it hasn’t been done yet. But when I see how he reacts when there is another cat in the house – he literally hides in the back of my closet, even with tiny kittens – I’ve come to the conclusion it is a territorial thing: this is HIS house and I am HIS human! LOL – and, of course, he’s a cat = curiosity! And he’s getting old now – he was about 2 when I got him from Mom (altho she still swears she’s never had a gray cat!) in 2015 – that’s what the shelter told her anyway. So he’s about 10 years old or so. And I’m kind of leaning towards a dog when Jake’s gone.

BREAKING: 24 year old Navy Vet discharged due to myocarditis from the Covid vaccine has just changed the nation
6 US Senators sent letter to Dept. of Veteran Affairs investigating why they’re denying disability claims for C19 vax injuries
All of this started b/c a follower came up to me in the gym and told me his story
I posted about it, Senator @marcorubio
’s staff reached out to help, and now nationwide policies are being changed so that *every* Veteran can be compensated for their vaccine injuries
Social media has its flaws, but it can sometimes be a powerful weapon for change
This fight is far from over though
We can’t go back in time to stop these mandatory injections, but we can absolutely pay our Veterans who were injured by them
I won’t stop until these systemic changes are made

Apologies if this has already been suggested:
It seems strange to me that admiral rachael levine hasn’t been sent to conduct peace talks with the hamas.
The western governments assure us that diversity is the way of the future – surely the hamas would respect that notion.
It would merely be an attempt to kill two birds (sic) with one stone.

Our world was at peace under President Trump.
His clear-eyed realism, raw projection of national strength, and his rejection of ideology in favor of pragmatism and national interest, brought us an unprecedented era of global harmony.
Whereas the DC set prattles on endlessly about the rules-based international order — the bloodless and esoteric obsession of the grad school credential class divorced from the iron laws of history — Trump understood the forces that shape world events: relationships, resources, rivalries, and the rational pursuit of self-interest and self-determination.
He understood you cannot impose an ideology over the essential nature of nation and man.
Instead of wasting away America’s diplomatic and financial assets trying to forcibly impose our values across the planet — which consistently yields the opposite effect — he focused on the formation of mutually-beneficial partnerships to foster global stability.
And he used our economic leverage as deterrence rather than fritter it away on nation building: knowing that a country which seeks to protect its own economic interests will always command more respect and find more common ground in its dealings with foreign powers.
Biden trashed it all. Set it all ablaze. His Administration’s toxic blend of idiocy, imbecility, incompetence and ideological extremism has turned calm into calamity. Peace into pandemonium. Harmony into hell.
The message sent and received by our our humiliation in Afghanistan, our cash bonfire in Ukraine, our internal repression as we preach “democracy,” our cultural self-flagellation, self-abasement and the self-annihilation of our own border, is that we are not a country to be taken seriously only taken advantage of. Over and over.
Under Biden, we are not a sovereign nation but a checkbook. A printing press. A mark. A punching bag. A sunken power. A spent power. A hollowed power. A rapidly declining power.
And as the torch of American liberty goes dark the world is lit instead by the fire of destruction.

Every morning when I went outside for my smoke break, I would see 4 or 5 Turkey Vultures lined up on the center peak of the roof of the one-room schoolhouse on the grounds. As the sun rose, they would all spread their wings to dry them before taking off for the day. They could be seen off and on thru the day, just circling and riding the winds. Ugly birds up close but incredibly graceful in the air.

Less than three years ago we had a president dedicated to world peace.
Now chaos reigns supreme.
The obscene Obama Iran Deal will ultimately lead to a nuclear power terrorist-supporting entity in an unstable Middle East. Trump nullified it, of course, but Biden reinstated it.…

🚨BREAKING NEWS🚨
We sued President Biden and Secretary Blinken for violating the Taylor Force Act and illegally subsidizing Palestinian terrorism.
Today, following barbaric attacks by Hamas — killing 14 Americans and 1000+ other innocent men, women, and children, and with an unknown number of Americans now beling held hostage in Gaza — the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas granted our motion to begin discovery in our case. We are going to show what the Biden Administration knew about their plans and the outcomes of their policies.

“What sort of people celebrate massacres of civilians? As Israel reels from the shock of the massacres committed by Hamas terrorists, we in Europe have to reassess our attitudes toward migrants, many of whom actually celebrated the carnage on the streets of Western cities, and the Polish election on Sunday gives us that chance, writes Petar Petrovic for portal TVPInfo”

editor: REMIX NEWS author: PETAR PETROVIC via: TVPINFO
(Pro-Hamas demonstrators take to the street of Athens as rockets fall on Israel and Israeli civilians are massacred. (EPA-EFE/ORESTIS PANAGIOTOU)
ENTIRE ARTICLE: ““Not since the Holocaust did so many Jews die in one day,” said Israeli President Isaac Herzog. Benjamin Netanyahu said that the actions of Hamas were reminiscent of the actions of the Islamic State.
The whole world now knows what Hamas is and not just the Israelis. As casualties, both Israeli and Palestinian, mount, Europe must brace itself for another wave of migrants.
A potential confrontation between Iran and Israel beckons — the same Iran with which Obama cut deals that Trump had the sense to withdraw from, but which many in the EU believe should be reinstated. It is the same Iran that has not abandoned its nuclear ambitions, continues to cause instability in the Middle East, and which supplies drones to Russia for its war in Ukraine.
Hamas is now threatening to kill the hostages they have taken. They seem not to care about the fate they are procuring for their own population in Gaza, as they are so blinded by their hatred of Israel.
The Western world has condemned Hamas, but it is in Western countries where we have seen Muslims reacting to these attacks with celebrations and anti-Semitic rhetoric.
The Israeli ambassador to Germany Josef Schuster has said that it is time for Germany to wake up “so that Berlin does not become like Gaza.” He added that Palestinian organizations paid for out of German taxpayers’ money reminded him of mafias.
Anti-semitism in Germany is on the rise, but the reaction of the authorities is weak and concentrated on extreme right-wing organization while ignoring it among the left and Muslims. France is little better, with anti-Semitic threats against Jews on the rise since the Hamas attack.
This all adds up to a huge problem that Western countries have brought upon their own heads by their liberal migration policies. The Muslim communities that it has created are often alienated from the country they live in, dependent on welfare, and hostile to the countries they live in. This seems to be passing from generation to generation.
These events demonstrate how important the rejection of the Berlin-backed migration pact is for Poland. On Oct. 15, Poles have a chance to say “no” to this in a referendum. It is an opportunity many in the West, who have to watch as Muslims glorify Hamas, dearly wish they were given.”

More progress…I spied GT coming across the street in my front yard so I propped open the patio door and walked around the corner of the patio. She stopped dead in her tracks when she first saw me, then clearly relaxed and headed over this way. I sat down in a chair on the patio and she peeked around the corner, saw me, hesitated and then came inside, walking past me on the lower level, looking towards the door. When she didn’t see any food, she turned and walked back out. So I picked up the food dish and shook it, put it down and came inside, where Jake was already watching. She came right in, looked at him briefly, then settled down to eating again. I caught another pic – she is still eating and skinny as a rail so not preggers.
