    1. Morning, Pat! Nipply here at 49 but clear for the most part, some clouds to the west. No more 90’s or even high 80’s on the horizon – 70’s to low 80’s. Checked my cantaloupe, of course, and found a few more starting, still none ripe yet – I’m chomping at the bit waiting! GT’s food is on the patio, no sign of her yet.

Interesting open. The one about Barbie….talk about coincidence. I was searching for an open for M’s a couple of days ago and ran across a site that outlined the origins of the doll. I knew about Edison and Franklin and I think I posted an ad in my origin-of-doughnuts open with those exact words! As for the rest, I didn’t have a clue! LOL

‘Auks’: A Fourth Joe Biden Email Alias Surfaces

Then-Vice President Joe Biden used a fourth alias, “auks@att.blackberry.net,” as early as 2010 to communicate with his family, according to the nonprofit Marco Polo, based on information from Hunter Biden’s “Laptop from Hell.”

The House Oversight Committee previously noted only three aliases in its August 17 request to the National Archives for documents related to Joe Biden’s email pseudonyms: “Robert Peters,” “Robin Ware,” and “JRB Ware.”

“Auks” is the mascot of Archmere Academy, a private Roman Catholic college preparatory school in Delaware and the alma mater of Joe and Hunter Biden.

Joe Biden’s “auks” alias received an email on May 10, 2011, from his niece, Casey Owens, who served as a special assistant for the U.S.-China Strategic and Economic Dialogue at the Treasury Department.

Just days before she left the Treasury, Owens emailed “Uncle Joe” at auks@blackberry.net concerning the vice president’s remarks a day prior, during the opening session of the U.S.-China Strategic and Economic Dialogue…

  4. Senator Ted Cruz:

President Biden has established a secret nuclear deal with the Iranian regime that is being kept from Congress and the American people.

Today’s news confirms there has already been a side deal including a $6 billion ransom and the release of Iranian operatives.

Nevertheless these are only the barest outlines of the staggering concessions that Biden has already made and intends to make to the Ayatollah, including an additional $10 billion transfer and indeed hundreds of billions of dollars by not enforcing oil sanctions.

Meanwhile he has allowed the Iranian regime to all but acquire a virtual nuclear arsenal over the last two and a half years.

The Biden administration must keep their deal secret because if they disclosed it, the law requires them to come to Congress and defend it, and this appeasement is utterly indefensible.

Instead they will continue lying about their policies until Congress forces them to do otherwise.

SICK! Joe Biden Claims He Went to Ground Zero Day After 9/11 – THIS NEVER HAPPENED – He Was in DC For a Senate Session (VIDEO)

Joe Biden is a sick and evil man. He is also a pathological liar.

80-year-old Biden arrived in Alaska on Friday afternoon to deliver remarks on the 22nd anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks.

Nearly 3,000 Americans died on September 11, 2001, and Biden opened his remarks by talking about himself and cracking jokes.

Biden lied about visiting Ground Zero the day after the 9/11 attacks.

“Ground Zero in New York — I remember standing there the next day and looking at the building. I felt like I was looking through the gates of hell,” Biden said.

    This is a brazen lie.

Joe Biden was in Washington DC for a Senate session on September 12, 2001.

“Nato to launch biggest military exercise since cold war”

Nato is preparing its biggest live joint command exercise since the cold war next year, assembling more than 40,000 troops to practise how the alliance would attempt to repel Russian aggression against one of its members.

The Steadfast Defender exercise comes as part of Nato’s rapid push to transform from crisis response to a war-fighting alliance, prompted by the invasion of Ukraine.

It will start in spring next year and is expected to involve between 500 and 700 air combat missions, more than 50 ships, and about 41,000 troops, Nato officials said. It is designed to model potential manoeuvres against an enemy modelled on a coalition led by Russia, named Occasus for the purposes of the drill.

The exercise is also a first in terms of technical capability, using real world geographical data to create more realistic scenarios for troops.

Sweden, whose Nato bid is yet to be ratified by Turkey and Hungary, will also be included, bringing the total number of nations involved to 32.

The drill will take place across Germany, Poland and the Baltics in February and March and forms part of a new training strategy that will see the military alliance carry out two big exercises every year, instead of one. Nato will also train to counter terrorist threats outside its immediate borders.” — The Financial Times

  10. “NATO Chief Openly Admits Russia Invaded Ukraine Because Of NATO Expansion”
    CAITLIN JOHNSTONE
    SEP 8, 2023

EXCERPT: “During a speech at the EU Parliament’s foreign affairs committee on Thursday, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg clearly and repeatedly acknowledged that Putin made the decision to invade Ukraine because of fears of NATO expansionism. His comments, initially flagged by journalist Thomas Fazi, read as follows:

‘The background was that President Putin declared in the autumn of 2021, and actually sent a draft treaty that they wanted NATO to sign, to promise no more NATO enlargement. That was what he sent us. And was a pre-condition for not invade Ukraine. Of course we didn’t sign that.

The opposite happened. He wanted us to sign that promise, never to enlarge NATO. He wanted us to remove our military infrastructure in all Allies that have joined NATO since 1997, meaning half of NATO, all the Central and Eastern Europe, we should remove NATO from that part of our Alliance, introducing some kind of B, or second class membership. We rejected that.

So he went to war to prevent NATO, more NATO, close to his borders.’

Stoltenberg made these remarks as part of a general gloat about the fact that Putin invaded Ukraine to prevent NATO expansion and yet the invasion has resulted in Sweden and Finland applying to join the alliance, saying it “demonstrates that when President Putin invaded a European country to prevent more NATO, he’s getting the exact opposite.”

Stoltenberg’s remarks would probably have been classified as Russian propaganda by plutocrat-funded “disinformation experts” and imperial “fact checkers” if it had been said online by someone like you or me, but because it came from the head of NATO as part of a screed against the Russian president it’s been allowed to pass through without objection.

In reality Stoltenberg is just stating a well-established fact: contrary to the official western narrative, Putin invaded Ukraine not because he is evil and hates freedom but because no great power ever allows foreign military threats to amass on its borders  —  including the United States. That’s why so many western analysts and officials spent years warning that NATO’s actions were going to provoke a war, and yet when war broke out we were slammed with a tsunami of mass media propaganda repeating over and over and over again that this was an “unprovoked invasion”.

It would have been so very, very easy to prevent this horrific war. Off-ramp after off-ramp after off-ramp was passed to get us to where we’re at now. Chance after chance after chance to avoid all this pointless death and misery was passed up, both before 2014 and every year since. The US-centralized power structure knowingly chose this war, and it did so to advance its own interests. If people really, deeply understood this, the entire western empire would collapse.

It’s the damnedest thing how you’ll get called a Kremlin agent for saying that this war was provoked by NATO expansionism and that it serves US interests, even when NATO openly says this war was provoked by NATO expansionism and US officials keep openly saying that this war serves US interests.

The latest entry in the latter category came in the form of a Thursday tweet by Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, which reads, “Standing with our allies against Russian aggression isn’t charity. In fact — it’s a direct investment in replenishing America’s arsenal with American weapons built by American workers. Expanding our defense industrial base puts America in a stronger position to out-compete China.”

We won’t let Ukrainian grain in – Polish PM
Mateusz Morawiecki has vowed to defy the EU, should it fail to renew an import ban

Warsaw will not allow Ukrainian grain to “flood” the Polish market, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has vowed ahead of deliberations in the EU on whether to extend an existing trade restriction.

The government puts the interests of Polish farmers first and will not allow cheap Ukrainian products to disrupt the domestic agriculture industry again

Now Zelensky threatens Poland and other EU countries with violence from Ukrainian expats: Zelensky believes that Western voters will not forgive their leaders if they “lose Ukraine.” Further trouble may also come from the millions of Ukrainian refugees now residing across western Europe. They have generally “behaved well,” but if their hosts “drive these people into a corner,” the end result will not be “a good story,” the president added.

“Jets fear QB Aaron Rodgers suffered serious Achilles injury”

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — On his fourth snap of the season, Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers suffered what is feared to be a significant Achilles tendon injury, a crushing blow to the future Hall of Famer and New York’s Super Bowl aspirations.

Rodgers will have an MRI on Tuesday, according to coach Robert Saleh, who painted a grim picture Monday night after the Jets’ 22-16 overtime win over the Buffalo Bills at MetLife Stadium. “The MRI is probably going to confirm what we think is going to happen, so prayers tonight,” a somber Saleh told reporters. “But it’s not good.” A torn Achilles would be a season-ending injury. Because of Rodgers’ age, 39, a severe injury also would raise questions about his future, even though he said recently that he hopes to play a few more years.

After a thunderous reception during pregame introductions, Rodgers — in his highly anticipated Jets debut — went down with 10:56 remaining in the first quarter. He tried to spin out of a sack by defensive end Leonard Floyd and twisted to the ground, with his left foot seemingly getting stuck in the turf. Rodgers injured the same lower leg — a strained calf — in OTAs during the spring. He didn’t miss any practice time in training camp because of the injury.

After the sack, Rodgers stayed on the ground and had to be helped to the sideline by two members of the medical staff. He spent a few minutes in the injury tent before being carted down the sideline. He got out and limped through the midfield tunnel toward the locker room.

“As we were trying to lift him up or talk to him about getting up, he was just like, ‘No. I’m not getting up,'” guard Alijah Vera-Tucker said. “Any time a player says that, you know it’s probably not good, definitely not the most ideal thing to have happen.”

Related video: Aaron Rodgers’ Debut with the New York Jets: What to Expect (Dailymotion)
    (video)
Former starter Zach Wilson replaced Rodgers, threw a touchdown pass and helped rally the Jets to a come-from-behind victory. Afterward, the mood was dampened by Rodgers’ injury. “Personally, I don’t hurt for me, I don’t hurt for our locker room, I hurt for Aaron and how much he has invested in all this,” Saleh said. “I’m still going to say a prayer and hold out hope. My heart is with Aaron.”

Rodgers wasn’t available after the game; he had already left the stadium. He was in the locker room at halftime, with several players saying afterward that they told him they loved him…..”

  16. maybe…the source is, of course, undisclosed. mccarthy to greenlight impeachment inquiry
    FTA

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) will tell Republicans in a closed-door conference meeting this week that an impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden is the next necessary step to obtain materials for the party’s investigations into possible corruption by the president and his son, a source familiar with the plans confirmed to the Washington Examiner.

The House GOP conference is scheduled to meet twice this week, on Wednesday and Thursday, with the latter meeting focused on the latest updates from House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) and House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) related to their investigations into the Biden family. During that second meeting, McCarthy, who has floated support for an impeachment inquiry into the president, is expected to endorse an inquiry into the matter.

The move comes as several rank-and-file Republicans have pressed the House speaker to greenlight an impeachment inquiry, with some even going so far as to threaten to strip McCarthy of his leadership position if he does not comply. Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) became the first lawmaker to make such calls over the weekend, suggesting he would stretch a hand across the aisle and work with Democrats if it meant electing a new House leader.

“Hi, Eric. If I make a motion to remove Kevin, how [many] democrat votes can I count on? Asking for a friend,” Gaetz said in response to a post on X, the social media outlet previously known as Twitter, from Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA), who criticized the Florida Republican for making “empty threats” to remove McCarthy from the No. 1 position.

  19. NEWS Host Faces Jail For Reporting the NEWS
The criminals who have highjacked our government are letting us know that America is over and we are now their slaves

    GREG REESE
    SEP 12, 2023

ENTIRE ARTICLE: “Elections have been rigged for centuries because government is a form of slavery. Which is why what the founding fathers of these United States gave us is so revered. They drafted a form of government unlike any other in history. A revolutionary form of governance based upon the foundation that all men are created equal and independent, and that all are born with the inherent and inalienable right to the preservation of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

George Washington wrote: “If men are to be precluded from offering their sentiments on a matter, which may involve the most serious and alarming consequences that can invite the consideration of mankind, reason is of no use to us; the freedom of speech may be taken away, and dumb and silent we may be led, like sheep, to the slaughter.”

Benjamin Franklin wrote: “Freedom of speech is a principal pillar of a free government: When this support is taken away, the constitution of a free society is dissolved, and tyranny is erected on its ruins”

And this is where we are at today. Our first amendment states that: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.”

And it has been stripped away from us by tyrants. NEWS host, Owen Shroyer, is being charged with the crime of questioning the results of the 2020 presidential elections, the most blatant election fraud in US history. And he did so peacefully which is his god-given right under the US Constitution. But America has already been defeated. And while many haven’t noticed, others don’t seem to care.

Shroyer isn’t being charged with conspiracy, incitement, or any actual crime at all. He is being charged for exercising his freedom of speech. The sentencing document goes on for pages quoting him for saying what Americans on both sides of the crippling two-party system have been saying for over a century. In short, that the government is tyrannical and criminal. Which should be obvious to just about everyone at this point. And this is not a crime. It is the first line of defense against tyranny, our freedom to call it out.

The document mentions a simple misdemeanor that involves Shroyer being on capitol grounds. This was a violation of a court order that resulted from a 2019 arrest when Shroyer stood and protested a House Judiciary Committee meeting. But this is not the crime he is being charged with. The 30-page sentencing document is nothing but hot air being blown by a legal team held on the leash by tyrants who occupy the halls of our government. What Shroyer is actually being charged with is best summarized on page 20 where it states:

“his statements and actions after January 6 illustrate his complete lack of remorse. To date, despite a number of opportunities he has taken to speak about the election and January 6, he has yet to sincerely demonstrate genuine remorse for his conduct.”

In other words, he won’t shut up about the stolen 2020 election. This is his god-given right. But the criminals who have highjacked we the people’s government are letting the rest of us know that those days are over, and we are now their slaves to be experimented on, thrown in jail, and murdered.”

Funny how Matt Gaetz bringing up his removal yesterday has changed his mind about this.

I am directing our House committees to open a formal impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden. Over the past several months, House Republicans have uncovered serious and credible allegations into President Biden’s conduct—a culture of corruption. https://t.co/3uoDlUB3Sy

OK, Vigilant Fox sent out an e-mail with the video – I found it separately on YT – but has the audacity to say this: “As of now, investigations led by the GOP haven’t found concrete evidence that ties President Biden to financial gains from Hunter Biden’s foreign business interactions. This is partly because of the massive amount of shell corporations maintained by the Biden family.”

WTF??? No concrete evidence!!??!! They’ve got fricking evidence out the wazoo!!!

  22. Just refilled the feeders – the water was cloudy, which means it’s time for fresh nectar – and they are fighting tooth and nail over the feeders! Since they are loading up for migration and the bugs aren’t quite so bad, I also put one out in front.

I told myself I would stop checking the cantaloupe every day and I vowed not to do it today….but it’s just tugging at me….what if one of them is ready??? LOL – it is dead quiet and sunny, with just the slightest breeze now and then, and a very nice 75.

    1. we don’t have nearly the amount of hummers that we used to, but there are still a bunch! and they are very active. but with the lower temps, it’s not evaporating.

i hope your first cantaloupe is sweet and juicy!!

      1. I could go ahead and pull one but it stops ripening and doesn’t get any sweeter after that so I want to wait…the trick is catching it before it comes loose on it’s own – when that happens, it’s started to spoil already.

          1. I just learned that this year – I spend a LOT of time looking things up on-line! LOL – once I really get serious about something, then I get into the weeds.
