What Every State is Worst At: Part 2

Montana

Worst: Internet access — That makes up for the fact that they have the worst Internet access of all 50 states (for cat lovers, at least). On the bright side (you know, the side lit up by super fast Wi-Fi), Montana became the first to enact its own net neutrality law earlier this year so there’s hope yet.

Nebraska

Worst: Road rage — But they must not teach good driving skills or anger management in the Nebraska public school system—based on data from social media, Nebraska is the worst state for road rage per capita.

Nevada

Worst: Public schools — But unfortunately, the school system in the Silver State has not climbed to the top. Instead, it sits at the bottom, where it’s been dubbed the worst in the entire county thanks to lack of funding, poor test scores, and the second lowest graduation rate.

New Hampshire

Worst: High college tuition — The student debt struggle is very real in New Hampshire, where college students face the highest average tuition costs in the nation.

New Jersey

Worst: Property taxes — New Jersey has the steepest property taxes in the country, with a whopping average cost of $8,696 compared to the national average of $3,399.

New Mexico

Worst: Car theft — For the second year in a row, the state has been guilty of the highest rate of stolen vehicles.

New York

Worst: Food safety — But think twice before you take a cream cheese-filled bite of that bagel—New York had the most cases of food poisoning last year, namely of norovirus.

North Carolina

Worst: STD rates — They might be bringing more than avocado toast and trendy eateries to North Carolina, though. STDs have been on the rise all across the state and it now has some of the highest rates of diseases including syphilis, chlamydia, and gonorrhea.

North Dakota

Worst: Binge drinking — The state ranks as the booziest in the nation with almost 25 percent of adults drinking excessively on a regular basis along with the most alcohol-related driving deaths.

Ohio

Worst: Job creation —While Cleveland was ranked 15th for jobs just two years ago in 2016, it’s plummeted to the very bottom of the list this year.

Oklahoma

Worst: Walking — Unfortunately, though, you won’t be able to walk off all that BBQ, since Oklahoma City received the worst walking score in the nation. With fast traffic and a lack of sidewalks, there’s definitely some, well, steps that need to be taken to improve the city’s walkability.

Oregon

Worst: Rate of sex offenders — It isn’t all fun and (drinking) games in Oregon, though. The Beaver State has the highest number of sex offenders (676) per 100,000 people and a shocking 42 rapes per capita.

Pennsylvania

Worst: Gas taxes — And what Pennsylvanians are saving on shooting their own dinner, they’re spending at the pump. The state suffers the highest gasoline taxes.

Rhode Island

Worst: Depression rates — The state has the highest rate of depression in the country.

South Carolina

Worst: DUI rates — Tea isn’t the only kind of brewed beverage that South Carolinians are enjoying, however. The state has the highest total number of deaths from drunk or impaired driving.

South Dakota

Worst: Child mortality rate — Unfortunately, the younger generation in the Mount Rushmore state isn’t faring so well. With 47 teen and child deaths per 100,000 people every year, it’s leading the nation in child mortality.

TennesseeWorst:

Childhood obesity rates — But are Tennesseeans spending too much time in front of their screens instead of staying active? Maybe so, when you consider that Tennessee is the top in child obesity, with 38 percent of its kids either overweight or obese

Texas

Worst: Dental health — Those teeth that they are sinking into their new ventures aren’t so clean, though. Texas has the highest percentage of adults whose poor oral hygiene negatively affects their life.

Utah

Worst: Workplace equality — But things aren’t so great in the workplace. Utah has the worst male to female executive ratio along with the highest gender pay gap.

Vermont

Worst: Fast food restaurants — That’s because Vermont has the lowest number of fast food restaurants per capita, with just 1.9 drive-thrus per 10,000 people. We bet the real reason residents of this New England state are always smiling is because they’re also the healthiest.

Virginia

Worst: Speeding tickets — But before you speed off to the polls to vote or weave your way through D.C. traffic, consider this: Virginia is famous for some of the country’s most expensive speeding tickets (the maximum is $2,500!).

Washington

Worst: Air quality — If you’re gasping for air while you pedal, it might not just be because you’re getting a good workout—Washington often has some of the worst air quality because of how smoke from California’s wildfires carries up the coast.

West Virginia

Worst: Smoking — West Virginia is also the state with the most smokers. In fact, nearly 1 in 4 adults in the wild and wonderful state light up a cigarette on the regular.

Wisconsin

Worst: Racial equality — But just because the cities are safe, doesn’t mean they’re equal, at least when it comes to race. In Wisconsin, the unemployment rate for people of color is almost triple that of white people and people of color are 11 times more likely to be incarcerated, making it the worst state for racial inequality.

Wyoming

Worst: Technology jobs — That could explain why it also has the lowest percentage of high-tech jobs, with the technology industry making up a measly 2 percent of the entire workforce.

    1. Oh, we learn how to drive – after all, we frequently learn in 3-4′ of snow! But road rage? Yeah, we’re not the best about that one! ROFL

That is so cool about the hummers!!! I only saw one or two Orioles yesterday and, since the seed feeders are empty at the moment, no finches or sparrows either. Rain/thunderstorms vs. 104 high-humidity heat?!? Toss up, methinks, as to which is worse. It was 76 when I got up about 45 minutes ago and I walked outside and immediately felt damp! GT was waiting for his breakfast but wouldn’t come close again. I also put a dish of water out for him in this heat. M mentioned yesterday that she wanted a pic soon so I grabbed my camera and took this shot. It was still kind of dark so I did the best I could at lightening it up a bit.

    Understand what happened here:

    1. The plea deal was laboriously hashed out and agreed to over a month ago. Both sides **had** to have understood what was being agreed to.

    2. BUT they **never** put the actual plea agreement terms on the court docket where the public & the media could read it

    3. Not until they were in front of Judge Noreika this morning did the nuts and bolts of the actual plea deal start to be exposed when the judge began questioning the parties about it.

    4. Judge Noreika very perceptively zeroed in on the immunity clause of the deal, and the fact no plea deal like this one had EVER BEEN PROPOSED IN FEDERAL COURT BEFORE. She got the government’s lead prosecutor to admit this under questioning.

    5. This questioning on immunity led to the surfacing of a continued disagreement between the parties: the prosecution is saying the Judge accepting plea deal does NOT give Hunter immunity from being prosecuted in the future as a result of ongoing federal criminal investigations into things like FARA violations. The defense immediately disputed this, telling the court it was their understanding that Hunter WOULD be getting immunity from future prosecution/s if she accepted the negotiated plea deal.

    6. Since the judge rejected the initial negotiated plea agreement, both parties are hashing out a new deal where its made clear to both prosecution and defense that Hunter does NOT have future immunity should other federal investigations result in criminal charges against him.

I hope everybody was able to follow all of that. 😬👍

I do not care about the Hunter Biden case and the US DOJ as a whole. I do not care about gun or drug charges.

Biden, Obama, Clinton, and Soros, used Hunter as a proxy, to create and orchestrate an offshore network to produce biological weapons in Ukraine.

If these crimes go unpunished, then none of this matters and humanity is still at great risk of biomedical control, mass death, and even global extinction.

Our hopes lie in the hands of Russia winning in Ukraine, Trump returning to office, then Trump negotiating a deal with Putin and the UN to investigate the US biological network in Ukraine, leading to International Military Tribunals for those responsible for crimes against humanity, as per the Biological Weapons Convention of 1972.

Anything short of full accountability, is a failure.

So if you are wondering why I don’t provide coverage on Hunter’s DOJ case, it’s because I’m not interested in slaps one the wrist. These people committed the most heinous crimes in human history and the mission doesn’t cease until those responsible are held fully accountable via capital punishment.

That is a way to play “hide the ball” from the public, but Judges see so many plea agreements in the course of just a single year they realize immediately when something isn’t right, and then they ask questions.

That’s what happened here. She realized something wasn’t kosher and she may issue a “Show Cause” Order asking for an explanation of why the two linked issues were placed in separate documents and then did not call attention to one another.

This was a “hidden” global plea agreement — and the fact that they tried to pull that off is all the GOP House needs to impeach Merrick Garland.

This is clear misconduct and it would not have happened without the approval of the upper levels of DOJ. This is not something an AUSA and the US Attorney in Delaware are going to try to slip thru on their own.

If Garland wants to avoid impeachment he should ask Lisa Monaco for her resignation by COB Friday.

This confirms that the written plea offer is an 11(c)(1)(C) plea.

That means the Court would have to agree to the sentence that the parties stipulated in the agreement — Probation — no matter what the facts might be as determined by the Presentence Report.

I could have predicted that would have been DOA.

I don’t think any federal judge would say “Yes, I’ll agree to allow you to lock me into giving only probation and nothing more when I don’t know anything about the facts.”

      What a bunch of idiots.

  11. chucky cannot get congress to force states to pay for grid work and transmission costs of their beloved green energy, so he’s trying to force an agency to do an end run around congress to make red states share the cost.
    FTA
States without renewable mandates such as Arkansas, West Virginia and Tennessee don’t want or need heavily subsidized green energy from other states, which could drive their own baseload fossil-fuel and nuclear plants out of business. They also don’t want to pay for new transmission lines whose sole purpose is to help other states meet their renewable mandates.

No matter. Mr. Schumer writes that FERC should order states that “act as free riders” to pay for transmission upgrades. He also wants FERC to clarify its “backstop authority” to issue permits when states won’t. In other words, if West Virginians don’t want to pay for connecting New Jersey offshore wind farms to the grid, FERC should mandate that they pay anyway.

Democrats in Congress are refusing to consider permitting reform that doesn’t socialize the costs of their green energy build-out, which Republicans won’t abide. So Mr. Schumer is directing FERC to do an end-run around Congress. “The success or failure of this commission will be defined by how they address these critical transmission rules,” he says.

FERC is currently split 2-2, but Democrats will have a majority next year after Republican Commissioner James Danly’s term ends. Mr. Schumer wants the commission to impose a $2.4 trillion tax to build out the left’s green energy grid, which Democrats can’t get through Congress. As progressives like to say, democracy dies in darkness.

  12. good for Sessions, but not for Mayorkas…
    FTA
America First Legal Foundation sued the Biden administration Wednesday for allegedly concealing information regarding an FBI investigation into Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, according to a copy of the complaint first obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation.

The lawsuit against both the FBI and the Department of Justice (DOJ) asks that the agencies release the documents related to the Mayorkas probe, according to the complaint. The conservative group was previously denied a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request for the records regarding the FBI’s investigation into Mayorkas’ background.

“The American people deserve to have access to the files we requested to understand the extent to which Secretary Mayorkas disclosed his foreign ties and contacts, among other things. Disclosing these records is consistent with what the FBI did during the Trump Administration when it released portions of the SF-86 for then Attorney General Jeff Sessions, so there is simply no reason why they should not provide the same information for Secretary Mayorkas,” Gene Hamilton, America First Legal Vice President and General Counsel, said in a statement to the DCNF.

The lawsuit’s timing coincides with increasing calls from Republicans in Congress to impeach Mayorkas, mainly for his handling of the security of the southern border.

One of the issues the group cites is an inspector general’s report from 2015 that found that Mayorkas, while serving as the director of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), had personally intervened “outside the normal adjudicatory process” to help foreign investors in the EB-5 visa program who were connected to top Democrats.

“Secretary Mayorkas’s abysmal performance has led to the introduction of several impeachment resolutions in Congress,” America First Legal said in a statement shared with the DCNF. The Secretary’s dereliction of duty regarding our immigration system has turned America into a borderless nation, and every state is feeling the consequences of allowing millions of illegal immigrants to flood into the United States. While Americans are dying at the hands of illegal aliens that should never have been allowed to enter America, the Biden Administration and Secretary Mayorkas have turned a blind eye.”

America First Legal submitted a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to the FBI on January 6 for “the FBI background investigation, Form SF-86, and any supporting security clearance documentation, including waiver forms [completed] by Alejandro Mayorkas or his designees for the purpose of allowing the FBI to conduct a background investigation as part of his nomination[s].”

The FBI responded on January 13, denying the request. America First Legal appealed the denial for the reason that the records were submitted to Congress, but the FBI reiterated its denial.

  14. so true…the dems changed the rules of impeachment for President Trump so they could impeach him over and over again. but now? higher standards MUST prevail lest we open FUTURE presidents to frivolous impeachments. HYPOCRISY????
    entire article
I’m going to assume you were alive as well given you are reading this and likely aren’t a literate two-year-old. So with that settled, it’s safe to say that we witnessed Donald Trump’s first impeachment. Remember? The one with the phone call and Alexander Vindman?

What’s also worth remembering is how Democrats justified that impeachment. Despite there being no clear violation of the law, we were all assured that such a violation was not required. Rep. Jerry Nadler made that explicit when he stated the following.

The Constitution doesn’t specify that a president must technically have broken a law in order to be impeached.

And who can forget the think pieces that inundated the mainstream press during that period? Over and over, explainers were written to assert that Congress could impeach a president for literally anything. The constitutional mention of “high crimes and misdemeanors” was watered down to be nothing more than a broad guideline. All that mattered, according to the press, was that Congress wanted to impeach the president. There were no other stipulations.

Take this line from a Reuters article written at the time.

High crimes and misdemeanors have historically encompassed corruption and abuses of the public trust, as opposed to indictable violations of criminal statutes.

Former President Gerald Ford, while in Congress, famously said: “An impeachable offense is whatever a majority of the House of Representatives considers it to be at a given moment in history.”

You see, the founders didn’t really mean “high crimes and misdemeanors.” What they really meant was “corruption” and “abuses of the public trust” even in the absence of any criminal activity. So it was said, and so it was. Democrats in the House impeached Donald Trump for the vague violation of “abuse of power.”

Are you ready for the shocking twist? Fast-forward to the present day and the same people who set that precedent are now looking to erase it from the public consciousness. Suddenly, those who lowered the bar for impeachment to laughable levels want to raise the bar again. Republican turned Biden booster Alyssa Farah Griffin provides the perfect example.

Joe Biden should not be impeached. One can strongly disagree w/his policies while also recognizing lowering the bar for impeachment of POTUS would be irrevocably damaging to our institutions. This will set the stage for every future POTUS to be dragged thru a show impeachment.

    — Alyssa Farah Griffin (@Alyssafarah) July 26, 2023

Reading that, I’m left confused. While we’ve already established that all of us reading this are old enough to have witnessed Donald Trump’s first impeachment, I can only conclude that Griffin is one of those literate two-year-olds I mentioned. Otherwise, she would know that the bar for impeachment has already been lowered. She would also know that our institutions have already been irrevocably damaged. Lastly, Griffin would surely be aware that the precedent Democrats set is what ultimately set the stage for every future POTUS to be impeached.

But even if you assume she’s sincere, her critique still doesn’t work when you consider that bribery is directly mentioned in the United States Constitution as a justifiable reason for impeachment. There’s nothing in there about phone calls, but the part about bribery? That’s in there.

When you consider that, it’s clear that Griffin and other Democrats aren’t seeking to change the precedent as a way to restore honor and restraint to the federal government. Rather, they are suggesting the Constitution be ignored for purely political reasons. Namely, they just want to protect Joe Biden. It’s not any more complicated than that.

To offer some clarity to Griffin about the situation, Biden has been credibly accused by multiple whistleblowers and witnesses of being intimately involved in corrupt foreign dealings. His own son accused him of being in the room while a CCP operative was threatened to pay millions of dollars. There are even FBI informant-sourced quotes from the founder of Burisma stating that Hunter Biden’s high-paid employment was to ensure that Joe Biden would get Viktor Shokin fired, who was investigating the Ukrainian gas company.

In short, there is far more evidence that Biden committed impeachable offenses than there ever was that Trump did. So while Democrats are desperately trying to change the rules of impeachment again, that’s not how it works. That’s not how any of this works.

  16. colorful wristbands and no dna matching leads to 85,000 missing children
    entire article
During a hearing on Wednesday, one Republican lawmaker confronted a Biden administration Cabinet secretary with a jar filled with colorful contents.

It was not full of “candies or snacks,” as Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Xavier Becerra had guessed. Rather, as Rep. Kat Cammack (R-FL) explained while holding the jar, what it contained represented a far more “grim” reality.

“These are wristbands that the cartels force people to wear when they cross the border, and if you’re not wearing one and you cross the border, the cartels will take a limb or an appendage,” Cammack said.

Rep. Cammack: Do you see this jar?

Sec. Becerra: It looks like candies or snacks.

Rep. Cammack: These are wristbands the cartels force people to wear when they cross the border. If you’re not wearing one when you cross, the cartels will take a limb, like an arm or leg. pic.twitter.com/QSB5dFyAf7

    — Rep. Cammack Press Office (@RepKatCammack) July 26, 2023

“This is what these people are forced to wear and it dictates what cartel they belong to, how much they have paid and they are absolutely a part of the horrors of trafficking and smuggling that occurs at our Southwest border,” Cammack added. “And I have to point this out because I want to tell the journey because this has really been laid out in bits and pieces along the way by my colleagues and we’re here to talk about these kids.”

The jar moment went viral on social media, with comments from Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and others.

“Astonishing — but not at all a surprise,” Cruz said on the X platform. “Earlier this year during a Senate Judiciary hearing, DHS Secretary [Alejandro] Mayorkas denied knowing about the cartel wristbands found at the border. This is the latest example of the Biden administration turning a blind eye to the human trafficking crisis taking place at our southern border.”

In his testimony for a House subcommittee hearing on “Stopping the Exploitation of Migrant Children: Oversight of HHS’ Office of Refugee Resettlement,” Becerra talked about what happens when young people who are transferred to HHS care from the Department of Homeland Security or any other federal entity are then released to a sponsor. Becerra stressed that the sponsors of unaccompanied minors are “thoroughly vetted,” but conceded the children “may find themselves in unsafe situations.”

Challenging the secretary to define what “thoroughly vetted” means, Cammack shared the story of a young migrant girl she encountered who was “terrified” of the man holding her, as seen in a photo the congresswoman showed. That man, Cammack said, later confessed under threat of a DNA test to “renting” the child in a process called “recycling” and turned out to be a convicted sex offender.

Cammack said many migrant children end up having the same phone number written on their arm in sharpie and dozens of them “magically” end up with the same sponsor. HHS releases these children, she added, to sponsors who are in the country illegally.

When given a chance to respond, Becerra pushed back, saying the congresswoman shared “misinformation” and insisted that officials run a “series of tests and assessments of a child when we get them.”

To Cammack, the secretary’s response appeared to be insufficient as she figures such as DNA tests only being conducted in 9% of cases and background checks in 23% of cases. “I think this is disgusting that 85,000 children are missing, and it’s on your watch,” she added as her time to speak expired.

  17. “Online Censoring: Jacinda Ardern Appointed to Help “Govern” the Internet”
By Wendi Strauch Mahoney -July 26, 2023

EXCERPT: “Online censoring lives to see another day with the appointment of Jacinda Ardern as the Knight Tech Governance Fellow at the Berkman Klein Center (BKC) for Internet & Society at Harvard University. The April 25 announcement from the Center states her tenure will begin in the fall. Ardern served as New Zealand’s 40th Prime Minister of New Zealand from 2017 to 2023, the youngest female head of state in the country’s history. She resigned in January, citing burnout as the reason.

The Knight Tech Governance Leadership Fellow is a new fellowship. It is sponsored by the Knight Foundation, which promotes itself as a group of “social investors who support a more effective democracy by funding free expression and journalism, arts, and culture in community, research in areas of media and democracy, and in the success of American cities and towns where the Knight brothers once published newspapers.”

Ardern was also concurrently appointed dual fellowships at the Harvard Kennedy School, slated to begin in the fall. The fellowships are the 2023 Angelopoulos Global Public Leaders Fellow and the Hauser Leader in the School’s Center for Public Leadership. Kennedy School Dean Douglas Elmendorf praised her “strong and empathetic political leadership.” According to LifeSite News, Ardern will “address online harms… and violent extremism online,” explaining that “Emerging technologies such as AI present huge opportunities to address online harms, but also challenges.”

In 2021, the Knight Foundation announced a “$5.5 million bundle of investments to study mis- and disinformation and inform internet governance.” The foundation committed $2.2 million in new funding to support “Rebooting Social Media (RSM),” a “three-year institute that will bring together diverse experts to develop tractable solutions to false information, radicalization, and harassment online.”

Notably, an article posted on the RSM page laments Twitter’s “New API plans” featuring pricing tiers as “devastating” to “public interest.” The authors complain that “Twitter’s new system to monetize and dramatically restrict access to its API will render this research and development impossible. Unless they can pay, researchers will not be able to collect any tweets at all.” Rats! Foiled again. Or maybe it should be rats foiled again!

With her policies and worldview in mind, it is not surprising that Ardern hopes to further Harvard’s “online governance and content moderation” work for the betterment of humankind. Ardern told reporters she hopes to support governmental efforts to “be your single source of truth” on social media. She encouraged reporters to “dismiss anything else.”

          1. Not my type of entertainer either but influential in the rap/Hollywood scenes. He made a number of movies and has one or more charity organizations. He was dis-invited on Oprah and The View because he met with Trump to talk about the problems within the black community. He tried to meet with the FJB admin and one lowly staffer played him for almost a year, then left the administration. No-one else wants to talk to him. He’s leaving the reservation and they can’t have that. He also refused the jab, I think.

Hunter’s Burisma board position was a honey pot, used by Ukrainian Mafias, to generate blackmail on Hunter. Knowing what’s on Hunters laptop, heavens only knows the depraved blackmail Ukraine has on Hunter. And Joe? Why not have the CIA recover the tapes?

Because the way the CIA is funded is, they do Black Ops for a President, deliver dirt and slush fund money, then they get to do their own dirt for their own slush. Trump wasn’t in the Circle. Mike Pimpeo was delivered to Trump by Brennan as a distractor. Obama owns the CIA now.

    1. This is dated yesterday…

NEW YORK, July 26 (Reuters) – A U.S. judge on Wednesday tightened Sam Bankman-Fried’s bail conditions by restricting his ability to communicate publicly, and said he will consider jailing him before the trial over the collapse of his FTX cryptocurrency exchange.

At a hearing in Manhattan federal court, prosecutors asked U.S. District Judge Lewis Kaplan to detain Bankman-Fried now, saying he had “crossed a line” by sharing his former romantic partner Caroline Ellison’s personal writings with a reporter, in what they said amounted to a second instance of witness tampering.

Kaplan imposed a “gag order” previously requested by prosecutors for the 31-year-old Bankman-Fried, and gave both sides until Aug. 3 to explain their views on whether jail is necessary for the former billionaire.

“I’m very mindful of the government’s interest in this issue, which I take seriously,” Kaplan said. “Mr. Bankman-Fried, you’d better take it seriously too.”

  21. Finally, I got my butterfly wind spinner that I ordered from PCH. After consideration of the size and the material (metal), I decided this one was worth $15. I’ve had nectar feeders hanging on that hook for years and it’s never gotten much traffic – too close to the glass door, I guess. So I was looking for something else to put there! Perfect, IMO!!! Of course, since there’s no wind to speak of, it’s not spinning yet…but it will!

    1. There are little pieces of clear crystals in the small ornaments – look on the bottom left of the top blue butterfly, you’ll see a small silver metal circle – there are 3 or 4 of them. When it turns, the crystals flash in the sunlight. It is tooo cool!!!

      1. Isn’t it pretty? When I first saw it, I fell in love with it but was leery until I checked the size/material. Yeah, buddy – THAT I can go for!!! I can’t wait to see it whirling in the sun. It’s clouded up now and the temp has stopped flying up – at 85 now, thankfully, but still humid. I just spent the last 45 minutes pulling weeds since it wasn’t so hot. I started outside initially to move the iridescent purple glass nectar feeder I hung out there to a spot where I could see it. And here I am, 45 minutes later….but the walkway from my patio towards the shed looks a lot neater, at least down one side. A little at a time….

  22. show of hands…who’s surprised???
watchdog claiming ethics violations against SCOTUS justices Alito and Thomas likely failed to disclose its own apparent lobbying.
    FTA
EXCLUSIVE — A Supreme Court advocacy group alleging ethics violations among justices including Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito likely failed to disclose its own apparent lobbying in violation of federal law, according to experts.

Fix the Court, a charity that used to be a project of the New Venture Fund, an influential nonprofit group that the left-wing dark money behemoth and for-profit consultancy Arabella Advisors manages, is helping to lead a seemingly coordinated campaign demanding Supreme Court justices publicize more about their finances. Those mounting efforts haven’t stopped Fix the Court from not reporting activities on financial disclosures that could constitute grassroots lobbying, multiple tax lawyers told the Washington Examiner.

That Fix the Court may have not disclosed lobbying could further undercut its position as a watchdog committed to “transparency.” In May, Fix the Court Executive Director Gabe Roth notably panicked after unwittingly leaking to the Washington Examiner his group’s donors, which included liberal entities such as the New Venture Fund, the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, and the Rockefeller Brothers Fund. Senate Democrats last week advanced a bill supported by Roth called the Supreme Court Ethics, Recusal, and Transparency Act, which aims to mandate a code of conduct for justices.

    Vivek’s latest spin

“Vivek Ramaswamy said Thursday that former President Donald Trump was “excellent” while in office, but the “America First” movement does not belong to the 45th president. “The truth is, I do think President Trump was an excellent president,” Ramaswamy told Fox News. “I agree with him on a lot of policies, but I am running in this race to lead us forward and take the America First agenda to the next level.”

“So, America First, it doesn’t belong to Trump,” he added. “It doesn’t belong to me. It belongs to the people of this country. That’s the character with which I’m running this race, and I think that’s probably gonna make it very difficult for other candidates to attack me.””

Does Vivek really love the sound of his own voice?

Maybe a thousand others have posted this:

Kash Patel: There’s only two people at DOJ. There’s one policy that governs it, and there’s only two people that can waive it. And it specifically says, in gun possession crimes that have to do with narcotics, pretrial diversion shall not be granted unless by express waiver of the deputy attorney general or the attorney general. That’s the regulation. That’s why it’s never been given before, except to Hunter.

This is what we call a smoking gun. Now congress must call in BOTH the DAG and the AG and ask them both in the same room at the same time which one of them signed off on that waiver. And if not, who was the rogue who did this so they can haul THEM into congress to lie and purger themselves.

  26. NF: Another issue that has been hi-jacked by the federales!!! This is a State issue!

“It’s a cash and carry business, evidently. Mastercard has told financial institutions to stop allowing marijuana transactions on its debit cards, dealing a blow to an industry already on the fringes of the financial system in the United States.

Most banks in the country do not service cannabis companies as marijuana remains illegal at the federal level despite several states legalizing its medicinal and recreational use. The federal government considers cannabis sales illegal, so these purchases are not allowed on our systems, said a guy from the company.”
