The storm didn’t hit here until 4:30 this morning – a short period, thankfully, of pretty vicious winds – I’ve got some willow branches down but only small ones and there were some tornado warnings out but none near me. Nothing else damaged here that I’ve seen so far but there is damage elsewhere in the state and into IA. I noticed the clouds as I was putting the feeders back out and just had to grab my camera…

      2. i would think it’s more about getting rid of the military personnel who are not combat ready (think of the ones who don’t qualify physically–who are on drugs daily for their confused gender issues) and hell, buying ammo if we’re that damn short on it. and all those weapons we left in Afghanistan for the enemy–and the equipment we gave ukraine. we need to retool and rebuild. i know that’s gonna be expensive, so you GAO involved to watch the $$ spent. no more unbalanced agency budgets–fiscal responsibility!

    Black Democrat representing Blue district, declaring she has left the Dem party, and is now a Rep. and will work to grow the R party.
    She worked hard for School Choice, because it would benefit POOR students, and the Dems fought it.
    She fought against defunding police, the Dems were pushing.
    She points out they were all saying “Black lives mattet” but their actions don’t show it.
    This is at LEAST the 5-6 Dem to publically leave the party in as many months.

    A transgender person wanted for exposing their naked penis to women in two separate changing room incidents in Los Angeles has been arrested after more than 15 months on the run.

    The suspect, 53-year-old Darren Agee Merager, had been charged with five felony counts of indecent exposure for the incidents – including an infamous altercation at Wi Spa, where Merager exposed herself to several women, including an underage girl.

    Merager – a convicted sex criminal who identifies as a woman – had previously rebuffed the allegations, claiming to be a victim of transphobia.

    Merager’s apparent ruse first made headlines in June, when a female patron at Wi Spa posted a video to social media that showed her complaining to staff a man had exposed his penis to her and others – including a young girl – in the women’s section.

    ‘It’s okay for a man to go into the women’s section, show his penis around the other women, young little girls — underage — in your spa?’ the frustrated woman, who is reportedly being treated as one of the victims in the case, can be heard asking staff in the clip.

    ‘He’s a man! He is a man!’ The three-and-a-half-minute video was promptly reposted across social media and soon went viral – forcing Wi Spa to address the incident, with staffers saying they stood behind Merager and her alleged gender identity.

    House Republicans have slipped a massive foreign worker expansion into their Department of Homeland Security (DHS) spending bill, a blow to the GOP’s promise to protect the nation’s working class from powerful special interests.

    After markups and hearings, Republicans on the House Appropriations Committee approved the DHS spending bill which would blow the lid off blue-collar migration caps to the United States, spurring an influx of foreign visa workers in the labor market with whom working class Americans would have to compete for jobs.

    “Who represents the working class? This bill suggests it’s not necessarily Republicans,” Jeremy Beck of NumbersUSA told Breitbart News.

    Specifically, the $91.5 billion funding measure would loosen H-2A visa rules so that more industries related to the agricultural sector could import foreign workers and rewrites the program so that jobs do not have to be seasonal or temporary.

    The H-2A visa program, as currently implemented, allows U.S. farms to annually outsource an unlimited number of American agricultural jobs to foreign workers, who can extend their stay for up to three years.

    Fraud and abuse are widespread across the program, with one recent lawsuit accusing a western Michigan farm of trafficking foreign H-2A visa workers into blueberry picking jobs where they were paid slave wages and housed in egregiously poor conditions.

    Most notoriously, earlier this year, black Americans scored a settlement against two U.S. farms along the Mississippi Delta after they were fired and replaced with foreign H-2A visa workers from South Africa.

    Beck called the H-2A visa program a “medieval system” that relies on “cheap back-breaking labor while other countries are mechanizing and workers are being paid high wages to man machines.”

I saw BoBo (the 2 year old bear) on the road again. sitting in the driveway of my ex neighbor (it’s now a vacation/hunting camp used irregularly). he crossed the road and sat on the other side. i was slowly approaching–he wasn’t moving. then a bunny ran across the road and he got up and looked like he was gonna give chase…but I was still advancing. so he retreated a few feet and just watched me. as i got closer, he scrambled away.

    1. Personally, I’d feel better if he ran instead of sat and watched me…but I want NOTHING to do with bears, thank you!!!

  41. so the snake is back. i only saw his head peeking out from under the rock for a few mornings. this morning, i saw the b-o-o-o-o-o-o-d-y!!!! he’s LONG. the head is still small, but the dang body is long!!!!!

    Elsewhere I have argued that the birth of the EU was in fact the embryonic template for the satanic tyrannical WEF that threatens us all.

    While being sold to the peoples of the individual sovereign nations of Europe as an economic union only, its architects deliberately held back what they intended the Union to be… a despotic military, economic, and political one which would obliterate national sovereignty and any accountability for its member states.

    I’d argue as well that as the whole project was sold under false pretenses as something it was never meant to be (with knowledge aforethought), the entire European Union should be broken up, sovereignty to be returned to the individual nation states.

    In three minutes, this man, ECR Chairman Ryszard Legutko, eloquently and with exquisite clarity eviscerates the unelected European elitist hierarchy sitting before him…and does so with surgical precision.

    They don’t like it.

    But truth will out, and the truth really does always hurt.

    Someone needed to at least say it. Unending kudos to him for being that someone.

As usual, I got distracted when I went out to put my baskets up….one of them was hanging crooked, so I had to fiddle with that first – they MUST be balanced so they are all the same length and level – balance in all things, including my window shades. I wandered over to check on the new lilac bush – new growth! – rose bush to re-direct some vines – pulled a few weeds and I discovered how easily those weeds were coming up with the ground so wet. Next thing you know, I’ve weeded the entire length of the patio! LOL – clearly, I am easily distracted….my Cilantro is up enough that I can cut some and try it in an omelet. I checked and I can actually smell and taste it! Yeah!
