There have been many misconceptions, fallacies, falsehoods, and media inaccuracies about the beginnings of ‘420’, and even about The Waldos. Rogues and fogged burnouts turn up across the internet claiming they started ‘420’, fictionally making up dates that precede The Waldos’ creation date with their revisionist history. Unfortunately, as things grow in popularity, sometimes people “crawl out of the woodwork” to claim they were part of it.
The Waldos are the only ones with multiple pieces of physical-evidence proof of the very earliest usage of the term ‘420’. In fact, The Waldos are the only ones in the world with any proof at all. The Waldos story/proof of ‘420’ origination has been investigated, and verified, by numerous credible journalistic news organizations. The Waldos are the real creators of the term 420.
Meet The Waldos
“In the fall of ’71, Waldo Steve was given a treasure map to a patch of weed on the Point Reyes Peninsula. The map was given to him by a friend whose brother was in the U.S. Coast Guard and was growing cannabis. The coastguardsman was paranoid he would get busted so he granted permission to harvest. The Waldos™ all agreed to meet at 4:20 p.m. at the statue of chemist Louis Pasteur on the campus of San Rafael High. They met, got high, and drove out to search for the patch.
In the ensuing school days the Waldos would use the term ‘420 Louie™’ to remind each other of their after school quest. They eventually dropped the ‘Louie’ part and just said ‘420’ to refer to cannabis. Originally ‘420’ was nothing more than the Waldos’ secret slang–their own private joke–however, it was picked up by others and spread from generation to generation, city to city, country to country, across decades, and throughout all media around the globe. The Waldos have published multiple pieces of “evidence” to give credence to their theory, including letters from college and the original “420” flag from the 1970s.
Spreading the Word
Initially “420” began as private joke for their own meetups, but the phrase supposedly caught traction via the group’s connection with the rock band ‘The Grateful Dead,’ also based in Marin County Hills at that time, only blocks away from the high school the Waldos attended. One of the Waldos, Mark Gravitch, had a father who managed real estate for the band, while the brother of Dave Reddix (another Waldos member) managed a Grateful Dead side-band and was close friends with Grateful Dead bassist Phil Lesh.
The Grateful Dead practiced at a rehearsal hall in San Rafael, California and the Waldos used to hang out there at watch, Reddix said. His older brother Patrick spread the “420” phrase with the band through Lesh. “And me, too, because I was hanging out with Lesh and his band [as a roadie] when they were doing a summer tour my brother was managing,” Reddix added.
Capper added: “We’d go with [Gravitch’s] dad, who was a hip dad from the ’60s. There was a place called Winterland and we’d always be backstage running around or onstage and, of course, we’re using those phrases. “When somebody passes a joint or something, ‘Hey, 420.’ So it started spreading through that community.”
Capper said Marin County was “ground zero” for the California counterculture, which saw hippies smoke weed as a form of protest against government policies, such as the Vietnam War. Later, banners calling from 4:20 p.m. meetings on 4/20 were found circulating at gatherings ahead of Grateful Dead concerts.
Today, 4/20 can mean a whole host of different things to weed smokers, as well as the industry. Hundreds of sellers show off their marijuana products at 4/20 rallies each year. For example, the aptly-named California town Weed hosts its own 4/20 festival:
“The City of Weed, California, Threw Huge Blowout to Celebrate 420
Published April 21, 2022, by Chris Moore
“What better place to celebrate the year’s biggest cannabis holiday than a town named Weed? Yesterday, a tiny Northern California city called Weed hosted its fourth annual festival to celebrate 4/20, the official cannabis holiday. The event was held by La Florista Cannabis dispensary, which just happens to be the only weed shop in Weed. Organizers shut down a block of the city’s Main St. for a blowout featuring bands, a DJ, a taco truck, and – you guessed it – legal cannabis. The dispensary offered special “swag bags” for customers, plus promos on flower, pre-rolls, vape carts, edibles, and pretty much every other product they sell.
With all the hype surrounding California’s fabled cannabis industry, one might speculate that the town of Weed might have adopted this name just to cash in. But the town’s unique name actually comes from its founder, a pioneer named Abner Weed. In 1897, Weed bought a 280-acre lumber mill in the area that eventually became the current City of Weed.
Weed was initially quite reluctant to embrace its cannabis namesake. Residents and elected officials initially resisted attempts to capitalize on the town’s potential for pot tourism but did agree to allow La Florista to open in 2018. Since then, Weed has slowly been warming up to weed. Last January, the city council voted to impose a 3% local cannabis sales tax, which city officials predicted would bring them about $100,000 a year.”

How to Celebrate
Watch a marijuana documentary….Learn more about the history of cannabis and the controversies surrounding it today by watching a marijuana documentary, such as “Grass is Greener, High Country: The Future of Weed,” “The Culture High” and “The Legend of 420.”
Those are all movies that require payment. This one, however, is surprisingly honest, even tho it came via PBS. The FDA (i.e., HHS) consciously CHOSE to block ALL study on the efficacies of MJ for health purposes simply by refusing to take it off the list of dangerous drugs to free up research $$$. They want to control ALL of it!!!! Bayer/Monsanto has been locking up the medical MJ business for a very long time!!!

Cannabinoids, which refer to any of a group of related compounds that include cannabinol and the active constituents of cannabis, may very well be one of the best disease- and cancer-fighting treatments out there. They activate cannabinoid receptors in the body, and the body itself produces compounds called endocannabinoids that play a role in many processes within the body that help to create a healthy environment.
Cannabinoids are also involved in immune system generation and re-generation. The body regenerates best when it’s saturated with phyto-cannabinoids.”

interesting article exposing obummer’s role in burisma corruption
FTA
In other words, this is evidence that Barack Obama knew of the Biden Burisma kickback scheme, assisted it by ordering his USAID agency to benefit it, and has covered it up since.
And here’s the portion of Obama’s fact sheet directly related to the MERP scam. So in other words, Ukraine was then struggling to repel a Russian invasion in Crimea and the Donbas, struggling to hold a national election to determine its future as a free country, and Obama wanted to give it American taxpayer money to upgrade the energy efficiency of its municipal buildings. He gave them no lethal weapons to defend themselves, but he gave them money to upgrade the insulation their buildings? Why?

Ah, yes, the moss in the trees. When HB and I went to GA to (as it ended up) deliver my granddaughter in April 1996, we stopped so she could gather some moss from the trees there. I even have a pic of her coming back to the truck with a handful of it….GS’s BD is the 24th in 1997, Ashley’s is the 26th in 1996 – almost exactly one year apart! Yes, this month….

interesting perspective on the 15 minute cities…
gnome1949
April 20, 2023 8:08 am
In his TV interview with Tucker Carlson, Elon Musk pointed to the rising vacancy rate in commercial buildings in the world’s cities. He acknowledged if banks were forced to “mark to market” in the value of their commercial mortgage holdings, the entire banking system is actually insolvent…WORLDWIDE.
It struck me it is therefore no wonder there is a huge trend toward “15 minute cities” in which everything is centered around urban concentrations. The BIG MONEY operators are in massive trouble.
They don’t want people to flee the urban centers any further than they already have.
Likewise, limits on the range of electric vehicles fits well into the plan of forcing people to live, work and play in a shrinking circle.
None of this is to “save the planet.” It is an effort to “save our wealth” coming from the richest people who are desperate.
Gasoline and diesel vehicles allow the masses a much larger range of travel so they have to be outlawed.

APUSH Textbooks Are Covering The Trump Presidency; The Bias Is Worse Than You Think
The most popular APUSH textbook describes Trump as a “sexual predator.”
GREG PRICE
APR 17, 2023
EXCERPT: “I reviewed five of the most commonly used AP U.S. History textbooks that cover all the way through the Trump presidency. Used every day by high school students in college-level history classes, the books all contain anti-Trump editorializing, false narratives, and employ selective editing to leave out significant stories that occurred during the Trump presidency.
The books all appear on the College Board’s list of textbooks that meet the AP Course Audit curricular requirements.
Nearly all of the textbooks claim “Russian meddling” was responsible for the 2016 election of Donald Trump, despite that narrative being debunked through multiple studies and news reports. A New York University Center for Social Media and Politics study found that Russian Twitter accounts had no measurable impact on the 2016 election. Facebook’s internal investigation also found that 56% of the $100K worth of Facebook ads purchased by Russians in 2016 were viewed on the platform after the election was over.
They also leave out all the details of how the Trump/Russia media narrative unraveled. None of them mention the phony Steele Dossier, how the FBI abused FISA (Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act) to spy on Trump, the illegal unmasking of Michael Flynn, how officials like John Brennan, James Clapper, and Rep. Adam Schiff lied to the public about Russian collusion, or the role Hillary Clinton’s campaign played in feeding false Trump/Russia stories to the press.
Many of the books also cover in depth the unproven sexual misconduct allegations against President Trump and Justice Clarence Thomas while altogether leaving out any mentions of the many similar allegations against President Bill Clinton.
In addition, they all repeat debunked narratives about the Trayvon Martin shooting, and cover the Michael Brown shooting without acknowledging that the Obama Justice Department found the “hands up don’t shoot” narrative was a complete fabrication.”

Via BadlandsNewsBrief:
“Demand for California’s new downpayment assistance program overwhelmed the system and depleted its $300 million budget in less than 12 days, with applications put on pause effective April 7, according to the housing finance agency. The legislator responsible for proposing the program responded optimistically to the news.
“It is incredible and inspiring to see that the launch of the California Dream for All program has already been so successful,” Senate President Pro Tempore Toni Atkins (D-San Diego) said in a statement April 14. “The fact that it has helped more than 2,400 first-time homebuyers with their down payments in its first two weeks is terrific.”
Designed to provide up to 20 percent of funding for low-income first-time home buyers, the “Dream for All” program was initiated with the passage of Assembly Bill 140 in 2021. Resources are provided through the Dream for All Shared Appreciation Loan, in which the state provides a portion of the down payment in exchange for a share in the property. The loan, in addition to a portion of the appreciated value of the home, will be repaid when the property is resold, according to the legislation.” — The Epoch Times
Our Take: “As much as we hate the Globalist Deep State, sometimes you just have to tip your cap to them for a game well played. Scratch that. These commies can go straight to hell.
In their latest ‘slavery disguised as opportunity’ play, they’ve taken to subsidizing the loans of underprivileged (read: middle class) home buyers, who can no longer afford homes in any desirable metro or suburb in the United States. As such, the government will happily step in and take ownership of a piece of your loan, backstopping it in a manner that creates a scenario in which you not only owe the bank, but you ALSO owe the government … as if there’s a distinction between the two.
When Anons say the whole corrupt, diseased temple needs to be brought down … they’re not joking.” — Burning Bright

“Biden Administration Will Veto Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act of 2023: “Politicians should not dictate a one-size-fits-all requirement.”
PETER A. MCCULLOUGH, MD, MPH™
APR 20, 2023
By JOHN LEAKE
ENTIRE ARTICLE: “When trying to understand human affairs, I try to be guided by Terence’s famous line, “I am human, and I think that nothing human is alien to me.” Terence was a freed slave who became a notable playwright, and the line comes from his comedy of errors, The Self-Tormentor, published in 165 B.C. The great French essayist, Montaigne, was so charmed by this line that he engraved it in the roof beam of his study.
This morning it occurred to me that Terence’s dictum is no longer applicable. The human world is now full of grotesque and monstrous absurdities that are entirely alien. I thought of this as I read the Biden Administration’s STATEMENT OF ADMINISTRATION POLICY in response to H.R. 734 – Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act of 2023 (Rep. Steube, R-FL, and 93 cosponsors).
Many chroniclers of life in communist regimes have observed that staying out of trouble requires learning to live with people in power who lie as a matter of policy. Everything the regime says is a lie, and the regime’s subjects are expected to accept these lies as though they are true.
This produces a strikingly neurotic community in which everyone is constantly pretending. Such accounts remind me of the literature on households tyrannized by an alcoholic parent who is constantly creating volatile and nonsensical drama. Unable to confront the alcoholic parent, the tyrannized children get into the habit of ignoring the drama and pretending it’s not happening.
Back to the Biden Administration’s latest moronic edict: Even within the same sex, cruel nature has NOT evenly distributed athletic ability. 90% of male aspiring athletes cannot compete with the top 10% of male athletes. This is why only small percentage of male high school athletes go on to play competitive college sports, and why only an infinitesimally small percentage of them go on to play professional sports.
The vast majority of young boys who aspire to become athletes must eventually come to terms with the painful reality that they are not big, strong, and fast enough. For every star athlete, there are hundreds who don’t even make the team cut, and dozens consigned to warming the bench for entire seasons. There can only be one Tom Brady, which is why he has earned hundreds of millions and was married to a super model.
As every sane adult knows, this uneven distribution of athletic ability is even more stark between the sexes. For example, on April 2, 2017, the U.S. National Women’s soccer team lost a scrimmage to a boys FC-Dallas U-15 squad by a score of 5 to 2.
In light of this stark reality, the consequence of allowing biological males to compete in women’s sports is painfully obvious. Girls who have—with great discipline and sacrifice—dedicated themselves to their chosen sport will often be consigned to second and third place or to warming the bench because of the unfair advantage enjoyed by biological males.
The Biden Administration—and apparently much of our society—have apparently decided that the hard work, dreams, goals, and aspirations of the great majority of female competitive athletes signify less than the desire of transgender boys to compete with them. Why?

EV’s may be to heavy for older parking garages…(see collapse in NYC)
FTA
The collapse of a parking garage in New York City on Tuesday that killed at least one person has put a new spotlight on aging structures used for vehicle storage.
The five-level building, which has several active violations listed with the city, dates back to 1925 and was first licensed as a garage in 1957 for five or more vehicles per floor, WNBC reported.
The exact cause of the structure’s failure has not been determined, but updates have been made to it in the years since and it is currently licensed to accommodate 276 vehicles.
Images from the scene indicate that least a dozen SUVs were parked on just the top floor.
The incident occurred after a recent study raised concerns that many older parking garages may need to be re-evaluated due to the increasing average weight of vehicles, particularly electric models.
The report from the British Parking Association noted that some electric cars weigh more than double what popular models in the same segments did in the 1960s, due in part to their heavy battery packs. This also often applies to contemporary cars.
For instance, a Tesla Model S weighs over a thousand pounds more than a gas-powered Mercedes E-Class, while a 9,000-pound GMC Hummer EV is 2,400 pounds heavier than the similarly-sized Hummer H2 that was last sold in 2009.

entire article (the tweets wouldn’t show in the article either)
Outrageous times.
It used to be that chemtrails were a conspiracy theory.
Here, let me refresh your memory before Wikipedia takes it down:
The chemtrail conspiracy theory is the erroneous belief that long-lasting condensation trails are “chemtrails” consisting of chemical or biological agents left in the sky by high-flying aircraft, sprayed for nefarious purposes undisclosed to the general public. Believers in this conspiracy theory say that while normal contrails dissipate relatively quickly, contrails that linger must contain additional substances. Those who subscribe to the theory speculate that the purpose of the chemical release may be solar radiation management, weather modification, psychological manipulation, human population control, biological or chemical warfare, or testing of biological or chemical agents on a population, and that the trails are causing respiratory illnesses and other health problems.
An erroneous conspiracy theory!
Or is it?
Let’s ask Ginger Zee, Chief Meteorologist & managing editor of the climate unit at ABC News:

Interesting.
I looked it up and silver iodide is, in fact, a chemical compound!
And guess what, it modifies the weather, too — in a process called cloud seeding.
Here, I found this on WebMD of all places:
Cloud seeding is a scientific process that improves a cloud’s ability to make rain or snow, as well as control other weather events. The technique, which experts also call weather modification, can really help in areas that don’t have a big enough supply of natural water. After cloud seeding, precipitation (rain or snow) will fall from the clouds onto the ground.
So yes, ladies and gentlemen, we are, in fact, modifying the weather.
(The Chinese have been at this for some time.)
Interestingly enough, Ginger Zee took down (or was told to take down) the video in this next tweet:

Wonder why she deleted it…
I found the video, by the way. For context, the report is on the decades-long drought in the Lower Colorado River Valley.
So I guess this isn’t necessarily that bad. Though, do we really KNOW it’s not bad?

Yeah, I bet the “current scale” won’t be around for long. Especially if this is supposed to be some sort of fix for climate change.
Anyhow, I found this story quite interesting.
(Though I do worry that I’ll run out of conspiracy theories if they keep coming true like this.)

“Fetterman Filibusters Senate For Seven Hours While Attempting To Say ‘Hello'”

POLITICS · Apr 19, 2023 · BabylonBee.com
“WASHINGTON, D.C. — All legislative activity was brought to a screeching halt today as returning Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman unintentionally filibustered the Senate for over seven hours while trying to say “Hello.”
Senator Fetterman, returning to his duties this week for the first time since checking himself in for inpatient treatment for clinical depression, greeted his fellow lawmakers with an extended speech that consisted of only a few short sentences. “I’m fern…I’m fire…I’m flying…I’m fried…I’m fine. I’m…I’m fine,” Fetterman said to other members of the “SNAP and Other Nutrition Assistance in the Farm Bill” Senate Subcommittee. Fetterman then spent the next several hours attempting to form his next sentence, which witnesses believe to have been some variation of the word “Hello.”
“It’s wonderful to see Senator Fetterman lumbering aimlessly through the corridors of the Capitol Building again,” Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said. “It just wasn’t the same around here without hearing his staggering footsteps, grunts, and mournful wails after hours.”
Though Fetterman’s unplanned filibuster lasted for over seven hours, Republican members of the Senate privately expressed relief. “Him coming back to work turned out to be a blessing in disguise,” one GOP senator said under the condition of anonymity. “The more we can keep him talking, the easier it will be to roadblock the Democrats’ agenda. I’m ready to help put him in charge of more committees if it keeps going like this!”
At publishing time, Senator Fetterman’s speech was still not yet finished, with other committee members hoping the first hearing would be wrapped up sometime before summer.”

“NASHVILLE, TN — A damning leak from the hacked emails of conservative commentator Matt Walsh has revealed that in spite of the question posed by his documentary What Is A Woman?, he has actually known what a woman was this entire time.
“Stunning, disgusting, rank hypocrisy,” said transgender former journalist Brian Stelter. “We all knew Walsh wasn’t who he claimed to be, but now we have proof.”
Daily Wire CEO Jeremy Boreing also expressed disappointment at the news. “I dumped millions into Matt’s documentary to discover the answer to this question, and it turned out he knew the answer this whole time. I feel betrayed,” he said. “On top of that, I also found out he’s still subscribed to Harry’s Razors. I feel like I don’t even know him.”
Authorities say they are still searching for the alleged hacker, and are warning people not to share the leaked emails, as they could radicalize whoever reads them against gender ideology.

“Walgreens Cashier Asks If You Want To Round Up To Help Pay For Some Of The Merchandise Stolen This Week”

U.S. · Apr 18, 2023 · BabylonBee.com
“SAN FRANCISCO, CA — To help recover losses from rampant, unprosecuted shoplifting in San Francisco, Walgreens is now letting customers round up their orders to help cover what was stolen that week.
“That will be $37.15. Would you like to round that up to an even $38?” said one cashier to a customer, according to sources. “That will help us cover the loss from Monday when 2 thieves dumped our entire cosmetics aisle into garbage bags and walked out freely to do it again next week!”
Walgreens execs confirmed the new “round up for restorative justice” campaign has seen moderate success, but thus far has been inadequate to help them completely recoup losses from operating in cities run by Soros-backed DAs.
“The problem is we only have 12 actual customers left in San Francisco,” said Kelvin Kwok, the San Francisco District Manager. “Literally everyone else is shoplifting.” Kwok’s interview was cut short, however, when he was mugged by a group of shoplifters who had just exited the Walgreens.
At publishing time, Walgreens had elected to just fire all their cashiers and let everyone take whatever they wanted.”

Fauci didn’t have a twitter acct, but he took over the whocovidresponse acct
thread
1) Twitter Files #FauciPharmaFiles
Last December, @elonmusk sent out his viral tweet about Fauci.
Fauci went on Fox News and said he had “no clue what [Elon] was talking about.” Image
2) “A lot of people are spouting out a lot of things about me and Twitter,” Fauci told @FoxNews. “I’ve never had a Twitter account. I don’t intend on having a Twitter account, and I’ve had nothing to do with Twitter. So I don’t know what they’re talking about when they say that.”
3) Fauci made similar claims, during multiple exchanges, in a 7-hour deposition, where he denied using Twitter or even knowing how to access a tweet. Image
4) But in an internal Twitter report in March 2021, the company revealed “Dr. Anthony Fauci did an account takeover for @WHOCOVIDResponse.”
This runs contrary to Fauci’s public statements and sworn deposition given on Nov 23, 2022. Image
5) According to this tweet, Fauci took over the White House COVID-19 Response account again, in April 2021. Image
6) Fauci was beloved by Twitter 1.0
Elon Musk tweeted last December that former employees had an internal Slack channel unironically called “Fauci Fan Club.” (pssst, don’t disagree w/ Fauci)
7) Attorney Angela Sherrer, who left when Musk sought to buy Twitter, praised Fauci as “the leading trusted voice about the COVID-19 response in the United States.” Image
8) Angela Sherrer was no small fry at Twitter. According to a deposition by FBI agent Elvis Chan, Sherrer was one of the attorneys he interfaced with on “disinformation” at Twitter. Image
9) Twitter didn’t just rely on the voices of prominent physicians like Fauci. Oddly enough, they also worked with Big Pharma companies and pharmacy chains to shape vaccine marketing campaigns.
10) In December 2020, Twitter announced they would begin removing and labelling tweets that contained vaccine “misinformation” especially concerning COVID-19 vaccines. Image
11) During that same time frame, Twitter began working with Johnson and Johnson on a COVID-19 vaccine “marketing strategy” and with CVS pharmacy to promote approved narratives. Image
12) By the summer of 2021, Johnson and Johnson began a full court press to market a ton of their products on Twitter, including a controversial antidepressant. Image
13) Much thanks to @TexasLindsay_ who helped collect and organise #TwitterFiles. We read and read, until our eyes bled.
More to come! Image
14) Harvard’s @MartinKulldorff who is suing the federal government for colluding w/ social media companies on censorship “Twitter should be a place for people to exchange ideas without censoring.”

Don’t be fooled.
You are falling for the GOPe RINO splitter strategy.
Vote for President Trump in the primary.
RFK, Jr is not MAGA and is not America First……… he is a hard core democrat ….. look at the condition America is in today and that is what he is for if he tells you the truth…….. democrats are communists and they all lie.
RFK, Jr. ‘s main focus is on the vacs……….why?…….follow the $$$ …… his business for decades is anti-vacs.
“Anti-forced vacs” is certainly one element in MAGA / America First ….
But get it and leave out the economics and ALL other freedoms in our Constitutional Republic in addition to energy independence, law and order and national security and you still lose America to the hard core communists.
Don’t be fooled by the “snake.”, aka RFK Jr. ………..he is telling you he is a democrat version 2023 ………
Believe him and send him back to his so-called charities that have been his bread and butter fund raisers for decades….aka parasites who produce nothing.
After all, you know he is a snake ……… don’t be fooled.
“Let’s go Brandon and all democrats including RFJ JR and GOPe, especially DeXX and his gang!”

Before COVID, the only thing I associated with him was the environmental issues he has always focused on. He’s always stood against big chemical in agriculture as well as the association between autism and childhood vaccines. Not sure where he stands on “global warming” and carbons and all that….

As seen on Twitter.
“Amy Moreno
@VivaLaAmes11
Robert Kennedy Jr’s campaign is crawling with CIA and “Intel” people
The top two are:
Gavin de Becker: security expert who develops systems for CIA, Capitol police, FBI etc.
Amaryllis Fox: former CIA official (and his daughter in law)
He’s also a radical environmentalist – he was a “climate lawyer” for the love of God. Just because he’s anti-vax doesn’t mean he’s “based and red-pilled”

in going after Thomas, it’s revealed that Sotomayer, the newbie justice brown and may other justices have amended their financial reports—and so have Hank Johnson who’s yelling the loudest.
FTA
Thomas intends to amend his disclosure to include Crow’s purchase of his mother’s home after a seperate ProPublica report detailed the transaction, a source close to him told CNN. (RELATED: Legal Experts Call Attacks On Clarence Thomas ‘Ridiculous,’ Slam Media Reports As ‘Incomplete’)
Paoletta noted there have been many other examples of Justices amending their disclosure forms, showing Democrats’ outrage at Thomas to be “decidedly partisan.”
“For example, Justice Sotomayor has amended her forms on four separate occasions, including amending her 2016 disclosure forms in 2021 to include six trips she made in which a third party paid for travel, lodging and food,” he said. “This was six years late. Was there any outrage?? No. Nobody called her character into question. It was an oversight and she fixed it.”
Further, he pointed out that one of the congressmen leading the charge against Thomas has himself had to amend campaign finance reports that failed to disclose crucial information. Democratic Georgia Rep. Hank Johnson led a news conference with other lawmakers on Wednesday calling on Thomas to resign.
“It’s comical to watch Democrat Rep. Hank Johnson criticize Justice Thomas when Rep. Johnson had to amend his financial disclosure forms for failing to report that his campaign paid his wife thousands of dollars,” Paoletta said.
Davis said Democrats are wrong to call the reports on Thomas a scandal.
“For Democrats to pretend that Justice Thomas’ disclosures–related to his best friend of 25 years, with no business before the Supreme Court–were an unprecedented scandal is yet another smear against a justice they’ve tried to chase off the court for the last 31 years,” he said. “They’ll do anything to punish him for leaving the Democrats’ plantation and being an independent thinker.”
The conversation, Paoletta asserted, is not really about ethics. Instead, it stretches back to attacks Thomas has faced since his confirmation hearing with Anita Hill’s “unfounded” allegations of sexual harassment.
“The Democrats and the Left have lost the battle for ideas at the Supreme Court, with Justice Thomas ascendant as the Court’s leader,” he said. “After failing to destroy him in 1991, the Democrats have never stopped attacking him with baseless and hyped up smears, and these attacks are the latest in that effort. Justice Thomas is our greatest Justice, who enrages the Left because he has never bowed to their attacks.”
