Happy National Ferret Day! (really)

Happy National Ferret Day! In honor of the “holiday”, brush up on your knowledge about everyone’s favorite (and longest) polecat-like pet.

Ferrets have been domesticated for a quite a while.

It is unclear exactly when ferrets were first domesticated, but the critters have a long and storied history. Greek scholars—Aristophanes in 450 BCE and Aristotle in 350 BCE—wrote about a ferret-like animal. Some lore asserts that ancient Egyptians even kept them as pets, but the absence of ferret bones in explored tombs casts doubt on that claim. Remains have been found in a medieval castle in Belgium, but there is no mention of the pets in any contemporary writings. It’s also possible that the ferret was exclusively a lower-class pet, which would explain the lack of documentation.

In the late 15th century, Leonardo da Vinci painted Cecilia Gallerani holding a weasel-like creature. Although the animal has been dubbed an ermine, many scholars believe the animal is actually a ferret.

They are related to polecats.

Ferrets are the domesticated subspecies of European polecats. They can easily interbreed to produce offspring that are very similar to domestic ferrets.

When threatened, ferrets will dance.

In the wild, ferrets and stoats perform a hypnotic dance that sends their prey into a trance. Domestic ferrets also perform this dance, but they use it for play instead of hunting. They arch their backs, puff their tails, and move from side to side. This rug-cutting is usually a sign that the ferret is happy and having fun.

Black-footed ferrets almost exclusively eat prairie dogs.

Wild black-footed ferrets, or American polecats, live in central North America and feast on unsuspecting prairie dogs. Scientists discovered that in South Dakota, 91 percent of the black-footed ferret’s diet consisted of prairie dogs.

Unfortunately, their main source of food has bigger problems than being eaten: The Black Death. The plague is no longer a worry for most humans, but it has a tendency to wipe out whole colonies of black-tailed prairie dogs. This threat is a real issue for the endangered black-footed ferrets, which perish without their favorite food. Luckily researchers have found a vaccine that could help keep the tiny rodents healthy. Testing is currently underway to see if the vaccine works in the wild.

A group of ferrets is called a business.

Now that’s a professional pet!

Ferrets can be used to hunt rabbits.

Rabbit hunting with ferrets is a popular sport in England. The ferrets run into rabbit holes to run the prey out of hiding. When the rabbits dash from their homes, human hunters trap them in nets. The tiny hunters wear ferret finder collars so that if they corner a rabbit underground, their owners can come to their rescue with a shovel.

They can team up with falcons.

Falconers employ ferrets in a similar role; the only difference is that the ferrets are used to bring the prey to the falcons. The two animals make a great hunting team.

Some ferrets have jobs.

Known for their love of burrowing, ferrets can put their skill at running through pipes to a variety of professional uses. When wires cannot be pushed through tubes or tunnels with rods, the tiny critters can step in. They are known for pulling wire through underground tunnels, and even helped lay wire for London’s Party in the Park concert in 1999.

One famous ferret named Felicia helped clean pipes at Fermilab’s Meson Laboratory in 1971. A swab connected to her collar allowed her to clear away unwanted debris. Although Felicia only cost $35, she likely saved the lab thousands of dollars.

Ferret racing is a popular sport.

Ferret racing is a popular sport in London that involves competing ferrets racing through drainpipes. A small section of the pipe is removed and replaced with chicken wire so viewers can know when the pets are half-way through. Apparently, the animals thoroughly enjoy the games, and the company of their fellow ferrets.

Scammers have sold ferrets on steroids as fancy poodles.

If you are looking to get a tiny exotic dog, make sure you’re not actually buying a ferret. In 2013, some Argentineans were being tricked into buying fake miniature poodles. Ferrets were given steroids and new haircuts before being passed off as tiny purebred dogs. The owners often didn’t realize they had accidentally bought drugged ferrets until visiting the vet for shots.

Females can die if they go too long without mating.

Unspayed females need to mate or run the risk of producing too much estrogen. The overproduction can lead to estrogen toxicity, or hyperestrogenism. This condition can lead to anemia, clotting, and death.

Scientists fiddled with a ferret’s brain and made a startling discovery.

In the 1990s, neuroscientists at MIT reconfigured baby ferrets’ brains so that the critters’ retinas were connected to their auditory cortexes. They expected the ferrets to go blind, but miraculously, they readjusted so that the auditory cortex worked like the visual cortex; they could see using the part of the brain normally used for hearing. This discovery showed that the brain is adaptable and makes use of what’s available. ”It’s just waiting for signals from the environment and will wire itself according to the input it gets,” Dr. Jon Kaas, a professor of psychology at Vanderbilt University, told The New York Times in 2000.

They love to jump.

But sometimes they land in some unfortunate places.

  1. Morning All!
The winds were tremendous here well into the night…and we woke to some snow. Still too dark to see if there’s any trees down…we’ll see.

    1. Morning, Pat! Sunshine again today, with no wind. Didn’t even get to freezing last night – it was 35 when I got up, now at 38. There are occasional mounds of snow left from the bigger piles but they will all be gone by the end of the day, no doubt. I’ve got to start thinking about clearing my flower beds, especially the Lily of the Valley, which is probably already coming up under last year’s detritus.

Ah, yes….ferrets. We had our own experience with one of them. My hubby decided he wanted a ferret for a pet so we bought one at the pet shop. Warning: get them young, just like any other animal! This one was somewhat older and had not been worked with at all. When he climbed up my pants leg and bit me, I said that’s it – he’s got to go! I won’t get into what my hubby did – he killed it – I’ll leave it at that.

        YIKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I agree. adopting a older pet can be difficult unless they were trained well.

I was looking at our garden, and my grapevines thinking I needed to get in there and see what’s what too. but we have some snow overnight and it’s 20* out there, so I’m cleaning the fridge and the stove instead.

  7. federal judges boycott stanford and yale in accepting students as law clerks.
    entire article
James Ho and Elizabeth Branch, the circuit court judges who announced last year that they would no longer hire clerks from Yale Law School, are adding Stanford to the boycott.

“We will not hire any student who chooses to attend Stanford Law School in the future,” Ho, who sits on the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, said Saturday evening in a speech to the Texas Review of Law and Politics, a transcript of which was reviewed by the Washington Free Beacon. The clerkship moratorium, like the one on Yale, will exempt current law students.

Ho’s announcement is the latest and most dramatic effort to hold Stanford accountable for its treatment of Fifth Circuit appellate judge Kyle Duncan, who was shouted down by hundreds of students—and berated by Stanford diversity dean Tirien Steinbach—when he spoke at the law school last month. The students called Duncan “scum,” asked why he couldn’t “find the clit,” and screamed, “We hope your daughters get raped.”

Though Steinbach is on leave, Stanford has ruled out disciplining the hecklers, who by Stanford’s own admission violated the school’s free speech policy.

“Rules aren’t rules without consequences,” Ho said. “And students who practice intolerance don’t belong in the legal profession.”

Calling the disruption an act of “intellectual terrorism,” Ho argued that Duncan’s treatment reflects “rampant” viewpoint discrimination at elite law schools, some of which do not employ a single center-right professor. It is no coincidence, Ho said, that the worst free speech incidents have occurred at the law schools with the least intellectual diversity. Though Ho did not say what it would take for him to lift the boycott, he implied that a more politically diverse faculty—and a less ideologically uniform administration—would go a long way.

“How do we know everyone’s views will be protected,” he asked, “if everyone’s views aren’t represented?”

Ho and Branch, who introduced Ho at the Texas Review event, are 2 of 14 federal judges boycotting Yale Law School over a rash of high-profile free speech scandals, including an incident last March in which hundreds of students disrupted Kristen Waggoner, a religious liberty lawyer who has won several cases at the Supreme Court.

The boycott appears to be having an effect: Ho said in his speech that students and faculty at Yale have urged him not to let up, citing an improved campus climate. He’s hoping that success will persuade his colleagues to stop hiring from Stanford, whose prestige, like Yale’s, rests in part on its clerkship placements.

“Imagine that every judge who says they’re opposed to discrimination at Yale and Stanford takes the same path,” Ho said. “Imagine they decide that, until the discrimination stops, they will no longer hire from those schools in the future. How quickly do we think those schools would stop discriminating then?”

  8. so San Francisco defunded their police…the city went to hell (as PREDICTED) and now they want the US GOV’T to fix it. they got $$$$$ for reparations? they don’t need OUR TAXPAYER MONEY to do it!!!!! go woke, go broke assholes (or maybe they want the gov’t to do this SO they can afford all those reparations)

San Francisco is requesting assistance from the federal government due to an “unprecedented police staffing shortage” in the liberal California city.

Three years ago San Francisco Mayor London Breed joined Democrats across the nation and announced a plan to defund the police.

It backfired in every way imaginable and Breed eventually reversed the budget cuts but the damage was done.

The city is full of crime, filth, and open-air drug markets and Breed can’t solve the problem because the city is in the “midst of an unprecedented police staffing shortage.”

San Francisco residents recalled George Soros-installed District Attorney Chesa Boudin to try to bring some sanity back to the town.

However, Boudin’s “woke” replacement isn’t doing enough so Breed is throwing in the towel and asking the federal government for help.

Breed sent a letter to northern California’s new U.S. attorney, Ismail J. Ramsey, asking for help to stop San Francisco’s open-air drug markets and violent crime in the city.

She wrote: “We are in the midst of an unprecedented police staffing shortage… drug dealers have become increasingly aggressive.

“Violence and shootings surround these brazen open-air drug dealing scenes.”.

“Our local law enforcement is doing its best to enforce against drug dealing, however, the scale of the problem is beyond our local capacity.

“We need additional and ongoing support from the Department of Justice to arrest and prosecute drug dealers.”

“We have received Mayor Breed’s letter and we are making arrangements to meet with her to discuss her concerns,” office spokesman Abraham Simmons responded in an email.

    Journalist Michael Shellenberger said:

“In the fall of 2021, when HarperCollins published my book, “San Fransicko,” calling for more police, more mandatory rehab, and a crackdown on drug dealing, the local news media refused to even review it, choosing instead to denounce me, repeatedly, for supposed ‘misinformation.’

“California lawmakers, led by Senators @Scott_Wiener (SF) @NancySkinnerCA (Berkeley), blocked an effort by @CapeloutoMatt, whose daughter was killed by fentanyl, to hold drug dealers accountable for the thousands of people they are killing.

“I wrote one of the most widely-discussed books on drugs & homelessness.

“I’m in a CNN documentary about San Francisco. I frequently testify before Congress.

“And yet my own Senator, @NancySkinnerCA, who I’ve known for 25 years, won’t let me testify in Sacramento about the crisis.”

From The New York Post 2021:

After Black Lives Matter protesters last year demanded that cities “Defund the police,” San Francisco Mayor London Breed held a press conference to announce that her city would be one of the first to do exactly that.

Breed cut $120 million from the budgets of both San Francisco’s police and sheriff’s departments.

A spokesperson for the police officers’ union warned the cuts “could impact our ability to respond to emergencies.”

This week, Breed reversed herself in dramatic fashion, announcing that she was making an emergency request to the city Board of Supervisors for more money for the police to support a crackdown on crime, including open-air drug dealing, car break-ins, and retail theft.

    1. Yesterday was meant to be a day that 9 year old Evelyn Dieckhaus was going to be singing Louis Armstrong’s “What a Wonderful World” in a play about jazz at her school.

The Wonderful World she was going to sing about doesn’t exist. Because sadly, her life was taken away by the Trans Shooter.

Yesterday was #TransDayOfVisibility where we saw Trans activists use violence, anger and hatred to push their ideology.

They had no regard or thought for little Evelyn who should have been in her school jazz play. Instead her life was cut short because of Radical Trans Ideology.

      Never forget Evelyn Dieckhaus 💔

“EXCLUSIVE: Nashville mass murderer Audrey Hale is pictured beaming with middle school basketball team – as former players speak out about her ‘obsessive and stalkerish’ behavior
    — DailyMail.com uncovered a new picture showing trans killer Audrey Hale in middle school
    — The mass shooter attended Isaiah T. Creswell Middle School in Nashville where she was on the basketball team
    — Hale was described as a ‘benchwarmer’ by the team’s coach

EXCERPT: “School yearbook photographs have revealed trans mass killer Audrey Hale in her teenage years beaming alongside her basketball teammates – as former players speak out about her ‘obsessive and stalkerish’ behavior. During her time at Isaiah T. Creswell Middle School in Nashville, Hale, 28, was part of the successful Lady Comets hoops team. Hale’s coach Antoine Buchanan told The Tennessean that Hale was ‘bench warmer’ who would only play if the team was ‘really winning’ or ‘really losing.’

In the wake of the Nashville mass murder this week, which left six people including three nine-year-olds dead, former teammates have now spoken out about trans school shooter Audrey Hale’s odd behavior.

Mia Phillips told The Tennessean the killer was ‘shy’ but that the team had ‘befriended’ her during their time playing together. After the pair went their separate ways to different high schools, Phillips said Hale persistently messaged her on social media and once found an email sent from an account that had just been set up. ‘I’m trying to be as respectful and also as honest as possible. It felt obsessive. It felt like stalkerish behavior,’ Phillips told the newspaper.

Hale, 28, played hoops on the Isaiah T. Creswell Middle School’s women’s team in Nashville”

  11. “Critics Warn of ‘a Dragnet of Surveillance’ as U.S. Pushes Ahead With Plans for More ‘Smart’ Cities. As the U.S. government, tech companies, the media and urban developers double down on the idea that future cities must be “smart,” critics warn the technology-driven urban projects will turn cities into “data farms.”
    By Brenda Baletti, Ph.D.

EXCERPT: “U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg last week announced $94 million in grant awards to fund 59 smart city technology projects across the country.

Despite widespread and mounting pushback against biometric surveillance and control systems associated with smart city technologies and the failure of the U.S. Department of Transportation’s (DOT) previous attempt to grant-fund smart city transformation in Columbus, Ohio, Buttigieg told The Verge he thinks “smart city technologies matter more than ever.”

Cities just need to take a different approach — experimenting with and testing out different technologies first, rather than implementing a “grand unified system” all at once, Buttigieg said. The new grants, part of the Strengthening Mobility and Revolutionizing Transportation (SMART) Grants Program, are the first round of $500 million in funding that will be awarded for smaller smart mobility projects over the next five years, authorized under the 2021 Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.

In this funding round, DOT awarded smart grants for a range of projects, including drone surveillance or delivery, smart traffic signals, connected vehicles, autonomous vehicles, smart grid development, intelligent sensors and other Internet of Things (IoT) infrastructure. Some cities, including Los Angeles (LA), received multiple grants.

Smart city development typically focuses on the implementation of technologies like the IoT, 5G, cloud and edge computing, and biometric surveillance to track, manage, control and extract profit from an array of urban processes.”

  14. EXCERPT: “9/11 used as a Trojan Horse — The official story providing cover for the false flag operation known as 9/11 is composed of outrageous lies and deceptions every bit as obvious to genuine truth-seekers as the complex of COVID scams facilitating the massive power grab presently underway.

The misrepresented events of the 9/11 fiasco ushered in an elaborate continuing complex of “emergency measures” designed to concentrate arbitrary executive authority while sidelining the rule of law, constitutional protections, checks and balances etc etc etc. Hence the 9/11 scam has a huge part in laying the psychological and pseudo-law foundations of our current dilemma in the Everything Crisis emerging from the manufactured COVID crisis.

While the exploitation of Emergency Measures provisions to advance power grabs and dubious policy objectives is nothing new in history, the public hysteria generated especially by the pulverization of the three World Trade Center Towers in Manhattan opened the door to new frontiers skulduggery. The prevailing sense of panic and insecurity was quickly harnessed to justify heightened police-state activity, military invasions as well as the virtual declaration of martial law domestically.

The speed of the government’s transitions to a war-time footing in 2001 was remarkable.

These transitions include the near-instant US invasion of Afghanistan, the fast release and ratification of the massive Patriot Act, and the speedy re-engineering of airports to advertise the transformation of rights-bearing citizens into terror suspects.

All these examples are highly suggestive of insider preparation for the events of 9/11 before they actually took place. The evidence points to prior knowledge and preparation by the real instigators of 9/11 in much the same fashion that Event 201 in October of 2019 signalled the identity of the pivotal organizers responsible for the false flag pandemic to come.

The fact that the US Senate is still unwilling to suspend the first Emergency Measure of 9/11 is instructive. Beginning in early 2020, the resort to the pseudo-laws enacted by Emergency Measures is still operative in many countries and at the different levels of jurisdiction these countries contain. Especially with the mandating of the military countermeasures disguised as vaccines, the Emergency Measures approach was absorbed into the governance of, for instance, hospitals, schools, corporations, trade unions, professional associations, and such.

The pharmaceutical industry claimed the indemnifications flowing from the Emergency Use Authorizations adopted by the governments of most of the world’s countries. In Canada Prime Minister Justin Trudeau invoked the Canadian version of martial law with his government’s invocation of yet another Emergency Act. Trudeau used his new powers to order Canadian banks to seize the accounts of his most effective political opposition, namely members and supporters of the Truckers Freedom Convoy movement.”

  15. “Covid Vaccination knocks up to 2.5 Decades off a Man’s life according to CDC”
    BY THE EXPOSÉ ON APRIL 1, 2023 • ( 22 COMMENTS )

EXCERPT: “The long-term consequences of Covid-19 vaccination are now being realised…A year ago, doubly vaccinated Australians were 10.72x more likely to catch Omicron than the unvaxxed. Now they are 20x more likely and the triply or more vaxxed are 35x more likely, as the latest NSW Health stats show (see below).

Meanwhile, the latest Cleveland Clinic Data and the latest US data analysed by Josh Stirling, founder of Insurance Collaboration to Save Livess and former #1 ranked Insurance Analyst, shows a really really disturbing trend. The damage to health caused by each vaccine dose does not lessen over time. It continues indefinitely. In fact, CDC All-Cause Mortality data show that each vaccine dose increased mortality by 7% in the year 2022 compared to the mortality in year 2021.

So if you have had 5 doses then you were 35% more likely to die in 2022 than you were in 2021. If you have had one dose then you were 7% more likely to die in 2022 than you were in 2021. If you are unvaxxed then you were no more likely to die in 2022 than you were in 2021.

The Cleveland Clinic Data — Here are the Covid infection rates for the 1st 98 days from 2022 September 12, when the bivalent vaccine was first offered to Cleveland Clinic employees. It was not mandated. It was offered.

So on 2022 September 12, 6199 employees were unvaxxed, 2359 were single jabbed, 13804 were double jabbed, 20798 were triple jabbed and 3538 were quad jabbed or penta jabbed with the original vaccine, which was designed against the Wuhan Hu1 reference virus, which was NOT isolated from a Human but was generated on a computer.

The results of their study, shown graphically above, demonstrate that the more doses of the original vaccine you took, the more likely you were to catch covid. In other words the original Covid vaccine is not merely ineffective against Omicron. It is actually anti-effective.

It is therefore not a vaccine against the present strain of Covid. It is an antivaccine. It damages your immune system in a dose-dependent manner. The more shots you took, the more damage you will have done to your immune system.”

    March 9, 2023 / 4 Comments

EXCERPT: “There are 76 international organizations who hold extensive immunities and privileges, in addition to the Bank for International Settlements along with 63 central banks and financial institutions that function with BIS, to create a complete control framework that operates entirely outside the law from what all other organizations must adhere to. While they all tout they are about “transparency,” that couldn’t be further from the truth. This framework began in the 1930’s, was formally established in the 1940’s, and has evolved into the most powerful globalist regime, with arms extending beyond 190 countries.

Part one revealed who those organizations and banks are, the general immunities and privileges they receive, and when those immunities were given to them. These aren’t just ordinary organizations. They happen to be the prime organizations that run the new world order globalists’ agendas against humanity, and they have hundreds of NGOs working with and through them. Part two will explore the depths of which this goes, key organizations building the control grid that pull a lot of strings, treaties, contracts, and extended immunities that afford them the ability to operate as ghosts without transparency or accountability. Hold onto your seats.”

  17. “Tennessee Creates State Gold and Silver Reserve”
    Jose Nino | Mar 31, 2023

ENTIRE ARTICLE @ BigLeaguePolitics: “On March 23, 2023, Tennessee Governor Bill Lee signed a bill into law that lays the groundwork for creating a state reserve to purchase, sell, and hold precious metals such as gold and silver. According to Mike Maharrey of the Tenth Amendment Center, such a move would grant Tennessee ability to “achieve more financial independence with gold and silver reserves, and could help undermine the Federal Reserve’s monopoly on money.”

State Representatives Bud Hulsey and Monty Fritts put forward House Bill 1479, while State Senators Frank Nicely and Adam Lowe sponsored the Senate companion bill — Senate Bill 529. The new law grants the state treasurer the power to “purchase and sell gold or precious metal bullion or specie that will be directly owned by the state.”

Under this legislation, precious metal bullion is defined as “metals that are formed into uniform shapes and quantities such as ingots, bars, or plates, with uniform content and purity, as are suitable for or customarily used in the purchase, sale, storage, transfer, and delivery of bulk or wholesale transactions in precious metals.” Similarly, under this legislation, specie is defined as “a precious metal stamped into coins of uniform shape, size, design, content, and purity, suitable for or customarily used as currency, as a medium of exchange, or as the medium for purchase, sale, storage, transfer, or delivery of precious metals in retail or wholesale transactions.”

On paper, HB1479’s enactment grants the Tennessee state government the power to hold reserves of gold, silver, platinum, and palladium coins and bars.

On March 6, the House passed HB1479 by an overwhelming 98-0 vote. On March 13, the Senate swapped the House bill for SB529 and approved the measure by a 33-0 vote. With Lee signing the bill, it went immediately into effect.

There is other legislation in the Tennessee legislature that would create a state gold bullion depository. However, the legislation was punted for passage in 2024. With mass inflation now a reality in the US, Americans need to fight back against their economic illness. Politicians in DC are stuck on fiat money time, so the solutions will have to come from the states.

The fact is that most meaningful change will not come from the DC Swamp, which is thoroughly captured by the Big Government mindset. Instead, it will be red states that must take the lead and launch a nullification revolution against the federal government.”

  19. Great detailed history on Ukraine and the coup engineered by the US’ Victoria Nuland in 2014…

EXCERPT: “A peer-reviewed paper initially approved and praised by a prestigious academic journal was suddenly rescinded without explanation. Its author, one of the world’s top scholars on Ukraine-related issues, had marshaled overwhelming evidence to conclude Maidan protesters were killed by pro-coup snipers.

The massacre by snipers of anti-government activists and police officers in Kiev’s Maidan Square in late February 2014 was a defining moment in the US-orchestrated overthrow of Ukraine’s elected government. The death of 70 protesters triggered an avalanche of international outrage that made President Viktor Yanukovych’s downfall a fait accompli. Yet today these killings remain unsolved.

Enter Ivan Katchanovski, a Ukrainian-Canadian political scientist at the University of Ottawa. For years, he marshaled overwhelming evidence demonstrating that the snipers were not affiliated with Yanukovych’s government, but pro-Maidan operatives firing from protester-occupied buildings.

Though Katchanovski’s groundbreaking work has been studiously ignored by the mainstream media, a scrupulous study he presented on the slaughter in September 2015 and August 2021 and published in 2016 and in 2020 has been cited on over 100 occasions by scholars and experts. As a result of this paper and other pieces of research, he was among the world’s most-referenced political scientists specializing in Ukrainian matters.

In the final months of 2022, Katchanovski submitted a new investigation on the Maidan massacre to a prominent social sciences journal. Initially accepted with minor revisions after extensive peer review, the publication’s editor effusively praised the work in a lengthy private note. They said the paper was “exceptional in many ways,” and offered “solid” evidence in support of its conclusions. The reviewers concurred with this judgment.

However, the paper was not published, a decision Katchanovski firmly believes to have been “political.” He filed an appeal, but to no avail.
    ——————–
“The editor who accepted my article only learned it would not be published from my tweets on the subject. This reversal was highly irregular and political. There is growing political censorship concerning Ukraine in academia, and also self-censorship,” Katchanovski told The Grayzone. “Many scholars are afraid to conduct evidence-based research that runs contrary to established Western narratives on Maidan, the Russia-Ukraine war, and other issues related to the conflicts in Ukraine Kiev following the 2014 coup.”

By contrast, the scholar said, those willing to “blatantly and uncritically parrot Western narratives,” even when their fables run “contrary to evidence,” are rewarded, and encounter no resistance to publishing their work. Katchanovski is well-positioned to comment on academic censorship related to Ukraine: three other journals that accepted his papers after successful “expert” peer-review processes also ultimately refused to publish.

In January 2023, for example, another academic publication rejected a paper authored by Katchanovski “for similar political reasons.” The work examined far-right involvement in the Donbas civil war, and the May 2014 Odessa massacre in which ultra-nationalists forced pro-federalist, Russophone activists into the city’s Trade Unions House and set the building on fire, killing dozens and wounding many more. As with the Maidan sniper killings, no one has ever been brought to justice for these heinous acts.”

    1. “So that’s my personal opinion about president Trump, as far as my abilities of observation and insight go for now. Let’s put our trust in the higher power and know that there is more than just evil in this world. There is hope, there is freedom, there is truth.

If it are the wicked child murderers who tricked the once Christian nations into becoming evil again, then we know this process can also be reversed.

I am not talking about becoming religous, because as I said: Donald Trump is one of the least religious people in the world, yet he is turning America back to God. I have learned that God has little – if anything at all – to do with religion. In fact, history shows us it have always been the religious leaders who opposed God the most. Christ was betrayed, falsely accused and murdered by the religious leaders of the most religious nation in the world, at that time: Israel! Go figure…

Religion is not the solution. Knowing the source of love, truth, goodness and freedom, the One who knows us more than we know ourselves and who dreams beautiful dreams over all our lives, is the answer.”

          1. I’ve just been heavily involved with animals for my entire life, in one way or another. I’ve learned a LOT about different breeds and such. Frankly, most principles apply to all breeds – there is very little, really, that is breed specific, except physical “anomalies” such as the pug noses, pure blood Arabs having one less rib, etc., etc.

    1. I can’t remember the last time I had a soda….I’m an exclusive coffee/tea drinker and never, ever water!!! I used to drink decaf Coke years ago, before menopause. Lower caffeine helps prevent cystitis in the breasts – at least for me anyway. Another way that I’m weird – drinking water makes me feel like I’m drowning, whereas I can drink tea (which is simply flavored water) with no issues. If I’m out working in the sun and really hot, I may take a drink from the hose but that’s it.

      1. they make flavored waters I heard…but that’s probably just adding sugar which I don’t need…but you could stand to gain 20 pounds…maybe you should try them!

        1. I think I’ll just go back to Kool Aid – I used to drink that all the time. Michael also uses the liquid flavor drops with water – he is fond of raspberry/lemonade and other flavors. He keeps an assortment and I’ve tried the other powdered drink mixes. Kool Aid is not much different and a WHOLE lot cheaper! LOL

          1. I drink a lot of water, but i do love juice–not a good idea for diabetics, but juicy juice doesn’t ADD sugar–the juice is sweet from the fruit so i drink less, but cut it with diet gingerale.
i don’t drink beer or alcohol and in the summer i brew iced tea.

  23. In Alvin Bragg’s Manhattan, a Parking Garage Attendant Was Shot Twice, Wrestled the Gun Away, Shot Assailant . . . and Is Being CHARGED With Attempted Murder

News posted late Saturday had to be an April Fool’s Day joke. It couldn’t be real. But as it turned out, it was very real and absolutely shocking.

    According to NY Post:

A Manhattan parking garage attendant who was shot twice while confronting an alleged thief — then wrestled the gun away and opened fire on the suspect — has been charged with attempted murder, police said.

The overnight worker, identified by cops as Moussa Diarra, 57, was also hit with assault and criminal possession of a weapon charge in the Saturday incident, which unfolded around 5:30 a.m. as the attendant saw a man peering into cars on the second floor of the West 31st Street garage, the sources said.

Believing the man was stealing, the attendant brought him outside and asked what was inside his bag. Instead of cooperating, the man pulled out a gun, the sources said.

Diarra tried to grab for the weapon, and it went off — leaving him shot in the stomach and grazed in the ear by a bullet before he turned the firearm on the would-be thief and shot him in the chest, sources said.

Under normal circumstances, I would assume the charges would be dropped since Diarra was clearly doing his job and acted in self-defense. But this is Alvin Bragg’s Manhattan, so we can’t know for sure. The Soros-backed District Attorney has demonstrated a penchant for releasing criminals and charging the innocent.

But even if the charges are dropped, this portrays the current sentiment in New York City law enforcement. They have been tasked with ignoring crimes while pursuing social justice causes. This should be a no-brainer and Diarra should be commended by NYPD for his bravery. Instead, he’s wondering if he’ll be thrown in prison for years.

  24. “The publishers of Gone with the Wind have branded the book “harmful” and “racist” in a new trigger warning. A new edition of Margaret Mitchell’s epic novel, released by Pan Macmillan, contains a caution at the start warning readers of its “problematic” content. The note reportedly says the book has not been rewritten to erase the offensive material, but says it includes “racist” elements that are “hurtful or indeed harmful”.

According to the publishers: “Gone with the Wind is a novel which includes problematic elements including the romanticisation of a shocking era in our history and the horrors of slavery. The novel includes the representation of unacceptable practices, racist and stereotypical depictions and troubling themes, characterisation, language and imagery. The text of this book remains true to the original in every way and is reflective of the language and period in which it was originally written.”

  25. “Palm Sunday”

“Joe Biden has officially filed to make a bid for a second term in the 2024 presidential election. In a statement of candidacy posted to the Federal Election Commission, President Biden has been listed to run once again with current Vice President Kamala Harris. Biden signed and filed the official declaration of candidacy on Friday, March 31. Even though his approval rating has never risen above 42 per cent, some people think the guy’s got a shot. Meanwhile, Kamala Harris has faced backlash over her awkward laugh during – among other things – talks about Ukrainian refugees or about the US withdrawing from Afghanistan. She’s also gotten shit from just about every side about her inability to speak with creating word salad sandwiches.”

“This is a view of Lower Manhattan from a helicopter. You never really think of the City being that colorful, but it is…”

“That’s really not so hard to understand when you consider the fact that half the people in the country are smarter than the average American. That may sound tongue-in-cheek, but it’s the truth. Even the people who absolutely hate the guy have to believe – deep down at least – that this whole thing is horseshit. Ya gotta give DJT props for one thing: He’s taken all of the shit they’ve thrown at him over the past seven years and he’s still standing…”

  28. I’ve purposely stayed mostly out of the Trump/ DeSantis Twitter feud because I’ve always supported Trump as my President and DeSantis as my Governor. That’s a thin line to walk for me. I like them both in those two positions.

The problem I’m having with DeSantis right now has absolutely nothing to do with Trump. If Trump wasn’t in the primary, I’d say the same thing.

My problem is I worked for years pushing and pushing DeSantis for his 2nd term. I couldn’t have worked any harder. When he won by 20 points I was excited as hell and knew all of our hard worked had paid off – and I was also majorly relieved I wouldn’t have to worry about a woke liberal running our state for 4 more years.

Fast forward 4 months and DeSantis is already running across other states campaigning – and this is going to take virtually all of his time for the next year. You know it’s true.

He owes all of us here if Florida his full attention, dedication, and the 4 years he promised. If you haven’t noticed over the past few years, the Governor in your state is just as important as the President – even more so at times.

  29. “I Was Asked For a Follow-Up Op-Ed From the Daily Caller. I Took The Gloves Off. My last Op-Ed exhibited fantasy thinking that our Federal Health Agencies are reformable. This time I took a different tack and detailed just some of the destruction the Health Agencies have wrought.”

    Pierre Kory, MD, MPA

EXCERPT: “I moved away from the pie-eyed optimism offering sound guidance for the agencies to follow like in my last Op-Ed. Here I go after Fauci and his Pharma partners for the immense harms they have inflicted while accruing insane amounts of wealth (some day I will tell you how I really feel). Enjoy.

When footage went viral of Dr. Anthony Fauci and D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser going door-to-door in a futile attempt to hawk their COVID-19 vaccines, public sentiment ranged from outrage to derision. Watching the hapless duo get doors slammed in their faces like pedestrian salesmen was sweet justice for many, and not just the reliable Fauci antagonists. The entire episode offered a telling window into the minds of millions of Americans who are sick and tired of the misinformation peddled by the powers-that-be.

Vaccine critics now span the political spectrum, and for good reason. Just this week, socialist Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders slammed Moderna for its “corporate greed.” Moderna’s CEO is now worth over $4 billion dollars, a fortune built almost entirely around the vaccine on the backs of the American taxpayers. That eye-popping number is poised to shoot even higher once Moderna hikes its price tag from $15 to $130 a shot later this year.”
