Most People Don’t Know There’s A Fountain Of Youth Hiding Deep In Pennsylvania’s WoodsTucked away in the woods of North Park near Wexford, Pennsylvania lies an attraction that relatively few know about: a Fountain of Youth. It borders on mythological, yet this small designated stone structure has become a landmark for photographers and explorers alike. Here’s more on this spring house structure and how you might find it:The Fountain of Youth is located in North Park, at 10127 Kummer Rd, Wexford, PA 15090.

The springhouse was constructed in the 1930s in the style of a Roman cavern, complete with an archway made of stone and, of course, the center disc which reads “Fountain of Youth.”

The structure is home to a spring, which until the 1950s was used as a local water source. Today, visitors will notice a warning sign that the water has not been treated.

Step inside to the cool, cave-like interior and on the back wall, you’ll notice the space where the pump was broken off after the water was considered unsafe.

You’ll then exit the space facing west, the direction that, according to local folklore, represents the struggles of middle age, the sacred feminine, and the power of water.

Whether or not you believe in the healing properties of this site (as the water itself is not safe to drink), there’s no denying its fascinating history and symbolism.

If you plan on visiting the Fountain of Youth, you’ll be in for a bit of a hike. Be sure to wear shoes that you can walk through the woods with.

The best way to access the Fountain of Youth springhouse is by parking along the small gravel pull-off and continuing along the path leading down to the creek.

    I found this little blurb in a visit PA site and i thought it was interesting that I couldn’t find a lot of details on what was IN the water to make it unsafe.
    I put on my tin foil hat for a while and wondered if perhaps they deemed it unsafe because it was healing people. this would not surprise me. can’t have people finding natural cures–that would put the pharmaceuticals out of business.

        along a highway in NY there is spring water coming off the mountain. and there are always cars parked there and folks filling up plastic jugs. somewhere along the way, someone crafted a copper spout for easier filling of jugs.
        that could literally be the outfall from someone’s septic system…

Jenna Ellis has a long tweet–I’ll see if i can find it and bring it. she details that she believes this is the only way to remove Trump–not by jail or whatever–and the powers that be think it will push his popularity higher if they indict him. what they are trying to do is discourage donors from backing him. so he can’t run the best campaign. remember rhonda has some BIG backers.

    Remember, Ron DeSanctus strongly opposed ethanol and fought against it at every turn, and he’ll do it again, they always go back to their original thought. He also fought against Social Security, wanted to decimate it, and voted against it 3 times. And on Social Security, while we’re at it, he wanted the minimum retirement age to be lifted to people that are 70 years old, a substantial increase. He also voted to severely cut Medicare….

    Remember, he was a disciple of Paul Ryan, a RINO loser who’s currently destroying Fox, and would constantly vote against entitlements. Ryan is a big reason that Mitt Romney lost his election. And to be honest with you, Ron reminds me of Mitt Romney, he’s like a twin.

        1. Since ancient times – springs and pools were sought for health and healing. In the Bible – the Pool of Siloam and the pool at Bethesda were examples of this.

          When we went to Phoenix/Scottsdale for a meeting – I was struck by how many health spas and health clinics there were there. People seek health and life – even the abortion proponents like Gates.

The best example this week comes from New York where a school board committee has solved the dismal math and reading scores for children in the system . . . they lowered the standards. This is not the first system to gut its standards rather than improve its quality of education. As teachers and unions object to school choice, they continue to make the case for private education. Parents are increasingly voting with their feet. The board is simply calling the lack of proficiency “the new normal” and changing the standards. Done.

    New York will permanently lower the math and reading proficiency standards after embarrassing results in state testing. It is akin to shortening the 100 yards dash to 50 yards to stay competitive on speed.

    The media reported that: “A scoring committee that reports to the Board of Regents said Monday that they must take into account the results of last year’s tests for students in grades three through eight. Some schools posted shocking results — in Schenectady, no eighth grader who took the math test scored as proficient. And the scores for the third through eighth grade tests throughout the state were much lower in 2022 than in 2019, a result no doubt of the absence of in-person learning during the first year and beyond of the COVID-19 pandemic.”

    This may seem insane to anyone with a proficiency in logic, but it is being shrugged off by many in New York. There is now an acceptance that the public schools cannot actually educate students to proficiency levels needed to succeed in the modern world. In the meantime, some districts are moving to a four-day work week for teachers to reduce stress.

    We previously discussed the elimination of gifted and talented programs to achieve equity by artificially lowering everyone to the same level. Other schools have eliminated the “F” to guarantee 100 percent passage rates. Still others have suspended proficiency standards to simply graduate students who cannot reach required levels in writing, math, and English. There is also a move to end standardized testing.

    In a prior column, I was particularly moved by the frustration of a mother in Baltimore recently who complained that her son was in the top half of his class despite failing all but three of his classes. Graduating students without proficiency in English or Math is the worst possible path for these students, schools and society.”

I think this in anticipation of parents demanding teacher evaluations. we need to hold the school boards, the union, the school administrations and yes, the teachers accountable. the teachers are more concerned with social justice bullshit than with actual learning. They were hired to TEACH. if they cannot fulfill this role, they should be fired. If they can’t TEACH, get out. I know their unions are protecting them, but they need to go too.

    Communities in rural Michigan are revolting against a decision to allow a Chinese-owned firm to build a battery plant in the area, according to footage of a recent Green Charter Township board meeting obtained by conservative outlet The Midwesterner.

    More than 100 residents of Green Charter Township and Big Rapids in rural Mecosta County, Michigan, showed up to the March 14 meeting to voice concerns over the presence of the Chinese-owned company, Gotion Global, amid growing concern over national security issues related to China.

    “The thing that drives some the most crazy about this is that this is a Chinese-owned company. A Chinese-owned company is a communist company. Why would you bring a communist company to Big Rapids, Michigan, when we have troops mobilizing right now to fight China?” one resident, who identified himself as an Iraq War veteran, told the town’s board members.

    Michigan lawmakers also approved $585 million in funding from the state to go toward the building of the plant, along with two others, that would produce electric vehicle batteries. The plant was approved for construction by a state economic development board and was originally supposed be constructed on land in both Big Rapids and Green Charter Township.

    Last month, Gotion put the planned construction in Big Rapids on hold after the town board unanimously voted days earlier to request a federal review for any potential national security risks associated with having a Chinese-owned company in the area, according to a report by The Detroit News.

    Earlier this month, the company said the plant was “not a done deal,” citing the pushback from local residents.

    Not all members of the community oppose the project. Some of its supporters have touted the thousands of jobs that would be brought to the area should the plant be constructed.

    Green Charter Township will hold another meeting April 5 with the proposed plant on the agenda.

    According to 11 Alive, the front of the church was tagged with several messages including “devil worship 666,” “apostate,” “Satan,” “sin,” and at least one homophobic message. The main doors had a backward swastika and imagery of a hanging painted on them.

    Atlanta Police said that McIntyre had been removed from the property the previous Sunday for trespassing.

    Reverend Doctor Gerald Durley, the church’s former pastor, told Channel 2 Action News that he hopes those responsible will be prosecuted under hate crime laws.

    “This is an atrocity to America. It’s sad when on a Sunday morning when people come to worship that these kinds of abusive markings are placed all over the building.” Durley said. “Any words are offensive when they attach someone’s race, gender or faith.”

    In response to a TikTok video posted of local news coverage of the vandalism, in which a photo of McIntyre was not shown, some users appeared to presume that the suspect was white.

    “I have been to that church in the pass [sic] for black political conference, still have pictures. White Racism and WP is mother nature’s worst mistake,” wrote one TikTok user.
