Appearing first in early spring, sweet violets are known for their everlasting beauty. When you grow violets, they attract all kinds of pollinators, including bees and hummingbirds, and some kinds of violets appear again in the late summer or early fall.
Violets are one of the cheeriest little flowers to grace the landscape. True violets are different from African violets, which are natives of East Africa. Our native violets are indigenous to the temperate regions of the Northern Hemisphere and may bloom from spring well into summer, depending upon the species. There are around 400 types of violet plants in the genus Viola. The many violet plant varieties guarantee there is a sweet little Viola perfect for almost any gardening need.

Violet Plant Varieties
True violets have been cultivated since at least 500 B.C. Their uses were more than ornamental, with flavoring and medicinal applications high on the list. Today, we are fortunate to have a plethora of different types of violets readily available at most nurseries and garden centers. Violas encompass the dog violets (scentless blooms), wild pansies, and sweet violets, which are descended from wild sweet violets from Europe. With so many choices, it can be hard to decide which of these endlessly charming flowers to choose for your landscape. We’ll break down the basic different types of violets so you can pick the best fit for your garden.
Both pansies and violets are in the genus Viola. Some are perennials and some are annuals but all sport the sunny, uplifted, face-like flowers characteristic of the family Violaceae. While both are technically violets, each has a slightly different characteristic and genesis. Pansies are a cross between the wild violets, Viola lutea and Viola tricolor, and are often called Johnny-jump-ups for their ability to crop up readily anywhere. Sweet violets are descended from Viola odorata, while bedding violets are deliberate hybrids of Viola cornuta and pansies. The mounding form and leaves are the same, but pansies have more distinctive “faces” than bedding violets, which feature more streaking. Any of the types of violet flowers are equally as appealing and easy to grow.
Colorful Combinations
Violets come in a whole rainbow of colors. They are most often found in bright jewel tones, but there are softer pastel varieties that make a perfect accent for spring decor. Many types also feature multicolor blooms with intricate patterns on their faces that seem to have been hand-painted. As an added bonus, violets are a fragrant annual on top of their charming appearance.

This diminutive plant can stand up well as a cut flower in a small bud vase. Plus, edible violet petals can be used to garnish cakes and pastries or tossed in a salad for a bright pop of color. A caution: Only eat flowers known to come from a pesticide-free source.
Violet Care Must-Knows
Many forms of violets are best grown in a woodland-type setting using rich, organic soils. While violets do ok in the cold, they are neither drought-tolerant nor heat-tolerant. Make sure violets have consistent moisture, especially in warmer months. When growing annual-type violets in containers, choose a well-drained potting mix. Using a slow-release fertilizer will help encourage continuous blooms.
Although violets tolerate of a variety of light conditions, most will grow best in full sun to partial shade. Some woodland species tolerate more shade; in fact, they can be planted in areas considered to be full shade. In warmer climates plant violets in areas that receive afternoon shade to help keep plants cool in hot summer months. Even this approach may not be enough to pull violets through because they are cool season plants). For this reason, violets often are treated as cool-season annuals and torn out once summer begins.

I didn’t look at eggs last time since I had bought 18 the last trip. I wondered at the time if that was wise because they often go bad before I use them all. But, since cheese omelettes are something I’ve been able to eat with honey BBQ sauce consistently, I figured I’d use them up soon enough. Nope! Had to throw away 9 eggs, which sucks! So, back to 12 at a time – I don’t like to buy them here since I can’t get the jumbo size – just normal, small eggs. And bacon is something I can eat anytime so I make some of that everyday in my handy-dandy MW bacon tray. I sandwich it between paper towels, which facilitates clean-up a lot and soaks up most of the grease. I cook it longer than most, to where it basically crumbles – less chewing. I’ve developed all kinds of little tricks like that. And adding the BBQ sauce to my stew makes it MUCH more palatable. IDK what it is about honey BBQ sauce – it just seems to make everything more palatable for me. Tomorrow I’ll pick up some of that nasal spray.

From that thread: “Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro says he hasn’t gotten any pressure from Democrats to urge Sen. John Fetterman to step down after he checked himself into Walter Reed National Military Center to receive treatment for clinical depression, but if he does get any calls, he will dismiss them “immediately.”
“He’s going to get the help that he needs … and do a great job for the people of Pennsylvania as their senator for a long time,” Shapiro told The Philadelphia Inquirer about the first-term Democrat senator.
Shapiro, also a Democrat, said he expects Fetterman to come back “stronger than ever” after his hospitalization, and that he is “really inspired” by Fetterman’s courage for going public with his mental health struggles and for getting help.
Fetterman, a former lieutenant governor from Pennsylvania, checked himself into the hospital after his issues with depression, which he’s had all his life, became worse.
The senator also went to the hospital on Feb. 8 after he felt light-headed, and stayed two nights. Last week, Fetterman returned to the Senate for votes, but last Wednesday checked himself into Walter Reed for voluntary treatment for clinical depression.”

GAME OVER: Medicare data shows the COVID vaccines increase your chance of dying
This is why the CDC has NEVER used the Medicare data to prove the vaccines are safe. And this is why NOBODY in mainstream medicine wants you to see this data. EVER. They ALL want it hidden. FOREVER.
Steve Kirsch

EXCERPT: “Nota Bene — This may well be the most important article I’ll write in 2023. In this article, I publicly reveal record-level vax-death data from the “gold standard” Medicare database that proves that:
— The vaccines are making it more likely that the elderly will die prematurely, not less likely
— The risk of death remains elevated for an unknown period of time after you get the shot (we didn’t see it return to normal)
— The CDC lied to the American people about the safety of these vaccines. They had access to this data the entire time and kept it hidden and said nothing.
If there is one article for you to share with your social network, this is the one.
Executive summary — Isn’t it a shame that none of the world’s governments make the vaccination-death records publicly available? My claim is that if they did that, it would end the debate instantly and prove to the world that the vaccines are unsafe. So that’s why they keep it locked up.
But apparently there is one whistleblower who is interested in data transparency. Last night, I got a USB drive in my mailbox with the Medicare data that links deaths and vaccination dates. Finally! This is the data that nobody wants to talk or even ask about.”

canine units to combat shoplifting
entire article
Nationwide retail theft has erupted into a $100 billion crisis. Brick-and-mortar stores have expanded theft-deterrent merchandising strategies to mitigate unprecedented losses for companies.
In New York City, 34th Street Partnership, a non-profit retail trade group serving Midtown retailers, hired a security firm that provides K-9 units equipped with handlers, the New York Post reported.
Earlier this month, the K-9 program was launched at the CVS at Eighth Avenue and West 34th Street. The pharmacies have been plagued with thefts.
“We’ve had a lot of complaints. A lot of shoplifting occurs in drugstores,” said Kevin Ward, the vice president of security for the 34th Street Partnership.
“It’s effective so far,” said Ward. He added, “We’ve had a couple of people who were known shoplifters who saw the dog and walked out without stealing anything.”
Between Feb. 15-19, K-9 units prevented at least 25 thefts at the CVS stores. Here are some examples of how the K-9s are visible deterrent shields for stores (list provided by NYPost):
On Feb. 15: a homeless man attempted to leave the store with unpaid items in the morning. He dropped the goods and fled after being approached by the security officer and the K-9.
On Feb. 16: Two known serial shoplifters entered the vestibule of the store — but left without entering after seeing the K-9 and guard.
On Feb. 17: A man attempted to leave the store without paying for two boxes of Tums and three bottles of juice that morning. The manager alerted the guard and K-9, and the thief returned the items when approached.
On Feb. 19: A homeless man attempted to steal a carton of orange juice along with a container of fruit salad, but returned the goods after management alerted the K-9 and security, who confronted him.
The canine patrol is a pilot project as desperate retailers in Midtown grapple with out-of-control shoplifting. There were more than 1,000 theft complaints last year versus 2021.

prison justice
entire article
An imprisoned serial killer is accused of murdering his child-rapist cellmate less than a month after he arrived at the California prison.
Pedophile Juan Villanueva, 53, was serving a life sentence with the possibility of parole in North Kern State Prison for aggravated sexual assault of a child under 14.
Unfortunately for Villanueva, he was bunked with Ramon Escobar, 51, who is in prison for killing five men and injuring seven others during a two-week-long spree of violence in California — and murdering his aunt and uncle in Texas in 2018.
All of Escobar’s California victims were homeless except for one.
“Prosecutors said Escobar bludgeoned victims with bolt cutters or a baseball bat as they lay sleeping on streets or the beach,” local station WRAL reports.
According to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, Villanueva was found unresponsive in his cell during a welfare check at 8:49 a.m. Friday. He was pronounced dead shortly after 9 a.m.
Villanueva had just been moved into the prison on February 2.
“The Kern County Coroner ruled Villanueva’s death a homicide, and Escobar has since been placed in restrictive housing while the prison’s Investigate Services Unit and the Kern County District Attorney investigate Villanueva’s death,” Fox News reports.
The convicted pedophile’s cause of death has not been revealed by the time of publishing.
Escobar is already serving a life sentence without the chance of parole.

“House Republicans Are Set to Get Covid Response Hearings Off with a ‘Bang’ — Republican members of the Covid subcommittee have thus far unearthed important documents, such as those showing Dr. Fauci & former NIH Director Collins misled scientists on SARS-CoV-2’s origins.”
Kyle Becker
EXCERPT: “The House GOP is set to launch hearings this week as part of its investigation into the U.S. government’s response to the Covid pandemic.
The Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic is planning to investigate the regulatory process of authorizing and approving Covid-19 vaccines, how these mRNA shots were authorized so quickly, why these vaccines were mandated for all Americans, even those who were not at significant risk, and why ‘natural immunity’ following prior infection was ignored by the scientific community.
One goal of the committee is making sure the United States is prepared for future pandemics, “and that includes perfecting our vaccine development,” Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks (R-IA) told The Epoch Times via email. “In order to do so, we must have complete transparency in vaccine research, clinical trials and adverse reactions, and manufacturing.”
“I expect our oversight hearings will shed light on the FDA approval process, the potential for side effects, and ultimately the success rate and safety of the vaccine—each of which will help us to navigate future global health emergencies,” she added.
Rep. Rich McCormick (R-GA), another member, said the panel “will be performing a comprehensive review of how the vaccines were developed, approved, and mandated.” McCormick, who is a doctor, told the Epoch Times that he is concerned about how data on possible side effects has been collected. He also wants to look into how children as young as 6 months old have been encouraged to get a primary series and at least one booster, “given the lack of scientific evidence for a benefit, coupled with real concerns about possible harm for an otherwise immune person.”
“People do deserve to know about the long term safety and efficacy of the vaccine. A lot of the things that were told to us, like ‘they prevent transmission’ and all of that, was not true. So people will have concerns and those concerns should be addressed,” Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-NY) commented in the report.
Rep. Debbie Lesko (R-AZ) said that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), which clears vaccines, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), which decides whether to recommend vaccines, “increasingly bypassed their expert advisory panels during the pandemic after the panels pushed back against decisions like advocating for boosters before a review of trial data was complete,” the report noted. “We need to know who made the decision to bypass the standard vaccine approval processes,” Lesko, a subcommittee member, said.”

“If I were a globalist overlord looking at the US what would I think now? Just a few thoughts. Feel free to add to them.”
Meryl Nass
ENTIRE ARTICLE: “I have used the trick of trying to think like the enemy and it has been a successful strategy for me. So here are a few thoughts to help focus on what might come and what the other side might be up to, but what might also stand in their way.
I’d be thrilled that my psychological warfare worked so well on a huge chunk of people. At first, anyway. I’d be wondering if it would work again. I’d be worried that at least half the population (mostly blue collar) is no longer completely brainwashed. They are silent, but they are not buying the narrative. Only 15% got that bivalent booster. I would not give a d**m about nation states (except for destroying them and diluting their people and cultures) and I would have no allegiance to any jurisdiction.
I would be a bit nervous about what those other globalists are doing, messing with MY air, water and soil. I’d be very mad that Fauci and his buds promised me a deadly pandemic and it didn’t really make the cut, and now it is so mild no one is frightened of it any more. I’d be mad that the same crowd promised me a severe monkeypox pandemic, and that didn’t work out so well, either. I can’t really trust them to get me the types of pandemics I wanted, can I?
I’d be nervous about how the people will respond to the next one that Bill Gates promised would be coming soon. They might just go after us for creating it and unleashing it. How do Bill Gates or Jeff Bezos ever show their face in public? I don’t want to be unable to go wherever I please.
I’d be nervous about the fact the COVID shots started killing people off too soon—too many people have figured it out, and getting them to take another shot is not going to be easy. This could be a huge problem, since the plan seems to have entailed giving everyone ten shots.
The vaccine passport plan failed, since the vaccines didn’t protect and Americans won’t go for it now. While we may be able to install them in some European countries, the plan was to get everyone to pay for their own tracker and control system. Now people are starting to ditch their phones, or keep them in Faraday bags. And the population is getting wary of politicians and public health officials.
We could pull out all the stops and kill or maim the majority of the population, but when people understand what’s happening, and they have nothing left to lose by fighting, they fight back. And we don’t have enough police and armies on our side to control them yet. We don’t have robot armies yet, either. Will we dare to keep destroying food storage and production facilities? Won’t we make a mistake and it could be traced back to us? How much can we squeeze the public over energy before they take matters into their own hands?
Our hardware infrastructure, till it is up on satellites, is vulnerable. But once it’s up on satellites, how do we fix it when it breaks? What if we kill off all the competent tech guys, almost all of whom in the US and Israel took the shots? Small cells (5G) are easy to knock down. Tractors can knock down towers. I can build underground, but I don’t want to have to live in an underground bunker.
We can sink economies everywhere, whenever we choose. But if we starve enough people, there will be too many people with nothing left to lose.
What happens when the people find out who we are? No one better start using any nukes on MY planet. What happens when the people decide the governments aren’t legitimate because of the vote scams, and they turn off the money spigot? Do you expect me to spend my own billions on this world takeover? Fuggedaboudit.”

Kansas Senate Passes First Bill Defining ‘Woman’ As A Biological Female

By Christina Buttons • Feb 24, 2023 DailyWire.com
EXCERPT: “In a groundbreaking move, Kansas has become the first state to pass a bill that defines a “woman” as someone who is biologically born female, laying the groundwork for potential bans on males who identify as transgender women from using single-sex areas designated for females.
The Women’s Bill of Rights was approved by legislators in a 26-10 vote on Thursday, with only Republican support. The bill, spearheaded by Senator Renee Erickson, defines a female as someone “whose biological reproductive system is developed to produce ova,” while “male” refers to anyone whose reproductive system “is developed to fertilize the ova of a female.”
“This bill does not create any new rights or entitlements,” Senator Erickson told the Washington Times. “It simply codifies the definition of sex as biological male and female in existing statutes and laws.”

University Of North Carolina Moves Against Woke DEI With Ban
By Amanda Prestigiacomo • Feb 25, 2023 DailyWire.com
EXCERPT: “The University of North Carolina (UNC) made a move against woke culture on Thursday, banning controversial so-called diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) requirements from the school’s hiring and promotion process. The university’s Board of Governors reportedly voted Thursday to secure the ban, following pressure from Color Us United, a non-profit committed to speaking out “against those who want to divide America.”
UNC “shall neither solicit nor require an employee or applicant for academic admission or employment to affirmatively ascribe to or opine about beliefs, affiliations, ideals, or principles regarding matters of contemporary political debate or social action as a condition to admission, employment, or professional advancement,” the resolution said, adding that an employee or applicant can’t “be solicited or required to describe his or her actions in support of, or in opposition to, such beliefs, affiliations, ideals, or principles.”
A petition from Color Us United directed toward the Dean of the UNC School of Medicine, Dr. Wesley Burks, slammed UNC for its “indulgence of wokeness and DEI in the North Carolina medical system.”
“It makes me feel like I am part of a radical social experiment, rather than a patient to be trusted and cared for,” the petition said. “As Dean of the Medical School, you have the power to put an end to wokeness in your hospital system. I humbly ask that you do the right thing and revoke the ‘Task Force to Integrate Social Justice.’”
“We also urge you to be transparent about the changes in standards to become a medical student,” it continued. “North Carolinians should know if UNC is enabling medical residents to become doctors — even if they do not pass important medical exams and successfully perform in Resident training.”
Color Us United president Kenny Xu told Fox News Digital that the group believes in a “race blind, meritocratic society with high standards.”

EXCERPT: “The nine women and children slaughtered in Mexico on Monday were part of a Mormon community with ties to the alleged sex-cult Nxivm.
The outpost Mormon community in Mexico is where underlings of Nxivm leader Keith Raniere recruited young women to work as nannies in an upstate New York compound run by the accused cult — suggesting at least in part that the jobs would get the girls away from their home region’s drug violence, according a man hired by Raniere to produce a documentary about the group.
The three moms and six kids killed in Monday’s violence in the northern town of Sonora are believed to have been the victims of a drug cartel, which may have mistaken the group’s caravan of three SUVs for rivals, Mexican authorities said Tuesday.
The filmmaker working with Raniere at the time, Mark Vicente, told the online magazine Slate that the documentary ultimately became a recruiting video for Nxivm, which purported to be a self-help group but morphed into what the feds called a cult that sexually, physically and emotionally abused its mainly female followers.”

As long as Fetterman is incapacitated, it puts a squeeze on McConnell so long as they do not allow a proxy vote.
The republicans actually have the controlling vote in the senate 50-49.
The VP only votes in case of a tie.

“Yankee Tax’ In South Carolina Moves Forward In State Senate

By Leif Le Mahieu • Feb 25, 2023 DailyWire.com
ENTIRE ARTICLE: “A “Yankee tax” advanced in the South Carolina state Senate this week which would tack on extra fees to those moving to the Palmetto State when they register their cars. The tax, proposed by Republican State Sen. Stephen Goldfinch, would add on an additional $250 fee to the $250 already paid by new transplants to register their vehicles. The money would go toward infrastructure in the state.
“We in South Carolina don’t require a capital contribution of anybody that moves here from out of state, although they take advantage of our roads, our bridges, our schools, and our green spaces immediately on day one,” Goldfinch said.
Goldfinch, who represents coastal counties near Charleston, said the intent of the measure was not to slow down the influx of new residents but to generate more revenue for the state to improve infrastructure. “We’re not trying to build a wall across the North Carolina border,” he said. “But, at the same time, we think that people should have to pay their fair share when they show up.”
The bill, which has been referred to as a “Yankee tax,” passed the Senate Finance Committee 11-6 and will now go before the entire Senate for a vote. Some have floated making an exemption to the tax for military personnel who move to the state after their service is over, a move Goldfinch said he would be open to. State Sen. Sean Bennett, another Republican who backed the bill, said that managing growth was difficult.
“Growth is not easy to manage, particularly in your community, certainly in my communities,” he said. “But where does it stop, I guess, is my question.”
South Carolina was one of the top ten states to move to in 2022, alongside Arizona, Tennessee, North Carolina, and Texas, according to a recent report. In the last ten years, South Carolina has grown by roughly 500,000 people with many people coming from nearby North Carolina and Georgia.
The influx of people into the South has come as many have left California and New York, looking to southern states for lower taxes, mild weather, and a better climate for business. The states which lost the most people were Illinois, California, New Jersey, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. In some areas, the incoming residents have contributed to rising housing prices as they sell expensive property in California and then bring that to a state with cheaper land and houses.”

Did you know that The Mormon Church built and owned Ancestry .Com until 2020 ? And sold it to The Blackstone group in 2020? Do you recall me talking about a woman I met during training in the Army who was Mormon and trying to get away? That was my very first experience of hearing anything about Mormonism. My Sis calls herself “Mormon” but she rarely goes to the church any more and also is not fully on board with all of it. She is much more of a naturalist, following Indian legends and beliefs, for the most part.

HOLY SHIT!!!! I record Maria’s show on Sunday mornings – talking about the 2022 US Trade Deficit with China (since they have “most favored nation” standing):
Imports from China: $536.8 B
Exports to China: $153.8 B
She was talking to Gov. Younkin about preventing China from buying land that is near US military and sensitive government areas, but they say nothing about China buying up our farm land!!! Right now, that is of equal, or not more, importance!!!

but i wouldn’t put it past chinese nationals from being citizens and simply buying the land after–getting the cash from the ccp. then it looks legit but it still isn’t.

See, that’s always the problem, and a very REAL problem….things have gotten soooo huge and deeply entrenched and complicated….where to start!?!? “A Contagion of Cowardice”

BY JEFFREY A. TUCKER FEBRUARY 25, 2023 HISTORY, PHILOSOPHY 9 MINUTE READ
EXCERPT: “Jordan Peterson’s interview with Jay Bhattacharya is one of the more insightful conversations to come out of the post-pandemic period. It’s fascinating to see Peterson coming to terms with the sheer scale of the lockdown during which time he was rather sick. We could have used his voice then and I have no doubt that he would have been fantastic.
Fortunately for the whole world, we did have Jay. It’s not just his credentials or his position at Stanford University. It’s his erudition that gave him the reach to make sense of our times. In this interview, Jay explains the unfolding of events in ways I personally found compelling.
Summing up his message, the response upended a century of public-health practice based on computer modeling that was not informed by any medical knowledge or public-health experience. That modeling came to be fused with a military-style response that waged a war on a pathogen with no exit strategy. Powerful industrial interests saw their chance to realize every hidden agenda.
—————–
The best case for heroism over careerism and cowardice is to look back over these three years and observe just how much difference a few can make when they are willing to stand up for truth even when there is a big price to be paid for doing so. Such people can change everything. This is because ideas are more powerful than armies and all the propaganda that a machinery of power can muster. One statement, one study, one sentence, one small effort to puncture the wall of lies can bring down the whole system.
And then the contagion of cowardice comes to be replaced by a contagion of truth. Those who stood up for that form of contagion deserve our respect and gratitude. They also deserve to survive and thrive in the new renaissance that so many today are working to build.
More than people right now are willing to admit, civil society as we knew it collapsed over these three years. A massive purge has taken place within all the commanding heights. This will affect career choices, political alliances, philosophical commitments, and the structure of society for decades to come.
The rebuilding and reconstruction that must take place is going to rely – perhaps as it always has – on a small minority who see both the problem and the solution. Brownstone is doing its best and the most possible given our resources and the time in which we’ve had to operate. But much more needs to be done. The rebuilding requires a spiritual-level commitment to intelligence, wisdom, bravery, and truth.”

“The Ruling Class of the Retirement Home”
BY WILLIAM SPRUANCE FEBRUARY 26, 2023 LAW, POLICY 5 MINUTE READ
“Grandpa says he doesn’t need assisted living even though you found him napping face down in his oatmeal. Grandma insists she can keep driving after barreling into a fire hydrant and the neighbor’s lawn ornaments. It doesn’t matter how many times their breakfast stains their Rosland Capital brochures or their fender rams into a stationary object at the supermarket; their obstinacy never wavers. Typically, this behavior is relatively harmless to the public. Now, however, we have a ruling class refusing to give up the keys when the car is wrapped around a telephone pole.
Our octogenarian president is the figurehead for this system (though the geriatric war machine is bipartisan). On Monday, President Biden visited Ukraine, stubbornly insisting on staying the course despite repeated failures. He announced that he would impose new economic sanctions in the proxy war. “Later this week, we will announce additional sanctions against elites and companies that are trying to evade sanctions and backfill Russia’s war machine,” said Biden. President Biden has repeatedly vowed that these efforts would cripple the Russian economy.
In February 2022, President Biden announced sanctions against Russia that he said would “impose severe costs on the Russian economy, both immediately and over time.” Eleven months later, Russia announced a record trade surplus.
In March 2022, President Biden said that new sanctions would be “another crushing blow to the Russian economy that’s already suffering very badly from our sanctions.” Three months later, the ruble became so strong that the Russian central bank took action to weaken it to protect the nation’s exports. In June 2022, the White House said “the effectiveness” of Western sanctions would “compound over time to further isolate Russia from the world economy.” Instead, Russia’s trade with the Chinese Communist Party reached a new record in 2022, and its exports to India increased 400 percent.
On Tuesday, President Biden delivered a speech on the Ukrainian war. Echoing his previous rhetoric on the subject, Biden described the conflict as a battle “between democracy that lifts up the human spirit and the brutal hand of the dictator who crushes it.” Despite Biden’s frequent sloganeering, Ukraine has not been a model democracy. President Zelensky has quashed Ukrainians’ freedom of religion and freedom of the press. In the war against “autocracy,” Zelensky banned his largest opposition party. While the threat of nuclear war increases, Ukraine deliberately sabotaged a peace agreement.
None of this, however, is enough for the ruling class to change its policies. The Biden Administration obediently repeats the same phrases, Americans are forced to deliver billions of their tax dollars to Zelensky, and Mitch McConnell cheers along the war machine.
Grandpa has Cheerios stuck to his ear hair, the car is in a ditch, and Grandma insists everything is just fine. They didn’t fall for an email from a Nigerian prince, but a Ukrainian comedian in a jumpsuit managed to swindle them repeatedly.
This stubbornness should be familiar. Leaders of all ages adopted the same attitude in response to Covid. The ruling class has imbibed and promulgated ideologies of lockdowns, masks, vaccines, and mandates despite consistent evidence demonstrating the policies’ destructive and ineffective results. For example, CDC Director Rochelle Walensky recently testified to Congress that her agency’s guidance for mask mandates would “not change” with new developments and scientific research.
As Michael Senger writes, “in light of the recent Cochrane review including 78 peer-reviewed RCTs with over 600,000 participants concluding masks made “little to no difference” in preventing COVID or flu, Walensky told Rep. Cathy Rodgers that the CDC’s guidance to mandate masks in schools would “not change with time” regardless of the new evidence.” Similarly, the Biden Administration is still fighting to implement mask mandates on planes while cities like Philadelphia mask children in schools without a scientific basis.
Our leaders continue to parrot familiar talking points on vaccines, encouraging children of all ages to receive shots that do not prevent infection or transmission. Universities and workplaces still maintain their mandates despite the vaccines’ demonstrated failure to stop the virus. Despite their public policy failures, our leaders appear devoid of the capacity for self-reflection. When confronted with their shortcomings, they refuse to atone for their misdeeds. Instead, they lash out at their critics with geriatric rage.
After 82-year-old Anthony Fauci lied to Congress about funding gain-of-function research and coordinated censorship campaigns against medical doctors, he announced, “Attacks on me, quite frankly, are attacks on science.” Two decades after stating on the Senate floor, “No one has doubted that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction, and I don’t doubt that we’ll find further evidence of W.M.D. in Iraq,” fellow octogenarian Mitch McConnell continues to preach the gospel of neo-conservatism.
When Republicans opposed President Biden’s nationwide vaccine mandate, 81-year-old Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi attacked them as trying to “shut down science.” Five months later, she caught the virus and immediately thanked the vaccines for providing “robust protection.”
Instead of heading to Tuesday night Bingo or enjoying a nice bowl of Jello, Grandma and Grandpa are going drag racing. They’re using your money to fix the car, and they’ll lecture you about their virtue after they drive it into the lake.
The public health apparatus refuses to deviate from its Covid fundamentalism just as our foreign policy establishment continues with the same strategies that led us to the Iraq War. The geriatric elite of our country reflect an obstinate arrogance in our nation’s ruling class. Rather than enjoying the benefits of accumulated wisdom, the country suffers under the egotism and incompetence of the gerontocracy. After trillions of dollars spent on foreign interventions and a disastrous public health response, the ruling class of the retirement home shows no signs of changing its ways.”

“The Story of Brianne Dressen”

BY CHRISTOPHER S. GRENDA FEBRUARY 24, 2023 MEDIA, VACCINES 4 MINUTE READ
EXCERPT: “This might be objectionable to read. It might strike the wrong tone. It might irk and aggravate some, and perhaps rouse offense and anger – both feigned and real – in others. That’s not the intent. Nor the goal. But either way, offense, anger, and even outrage have to be risked at this point. The hour is late and we need more voices of influence to speak. We need to reach a critical mass.
So here it goes. To start with the obvious, cardiac arrest is a matter of life and death. If one is to suffer such a fate, one of the best places on earth to do so is on an NFL field, in an NFL stadium, during a game broadcast on live TV. Few places will have a better life-saving infrastructure in place, on site. Few will have faster response times with more highly trained professionals equipped with the necessary accoutrements. Thankfully, these facts paid the most important of dividends for the victim of the tragedy that unfolded on Monday Night Football earlier this year.
His cardiac arrest is an extremely sensitive and personal affair. It should not be the subject of glib social commentary, or a mere weapon in the narrative wars pervading our lives. But those facts go both ways and, frankly at this point, we need more from Damar Hamlin. We, the people of all backgrounds and classes, need those in positions of influence to stand up and speak – loudly, boldly, and clearly.
Consider, for example, Brianne Dressen. She was a trial participant. Then she became “patient #1.” Her story of injury and suffering should be heard by all. As should her story of strength and perseverance in pursuing a correct, and acknowledged, diagnosis, which eventually yielded life-altering treatment.
Ms. Dressen did not create memes. She did not pose before self-portraiture murals. She did not play coy games with brief, shadowy, and semi-masked appearances on social media, which play like a coming attractions trailer to an upcoming corporate funded public relations campaign. Instead, she spoke about her injury and suffering. She spoke about her mistreatment and perseverance in pursuing real diagnoses. She spoke to raise awareness in others. And she sought to help the similarly injured by co-founding React19. It’s a nonprofit offering myriad forms of support – financial and otherwise – for those in need of similar acknowledgment, diagnosis, and treatment.
Prior to her trial participation, Ms. Dressen was not a person of significant public influence. But she used her experience of injury and suffering to turn herself into one, on behalf of others. We need additional voices to do the same, as many as we can get.
So although this might irk and aggravate some, and it might anger and offend others, we need more from Damar Hamlin. Or more precisely, we need him to change course, which, at the very least, could start with accepting the offer of a free exam from a “world class medical team” at a location of his choosing. That would involve but a nanoparticle amount of the courage expected of the similarly aged men who stormed Tarawa, or of the even younger women like Claudette Colvin who combated injustice.”

“Republicans race to stop Biden giving WHO power over pandemic surveillance, controlling “disinformation” — The accord is expected to be finalized this week.”
By Ken Macon, ReclaimTheNet
Posted 9:21 pm
ENTIRE ARTICLE: “Republican senators are pushing back against an accord that would give the World Health Organization (WHO) power over member states if it declares a pandemic. The accord, which is legally binding on all member states, will be finalized in Switzerland this week.
The accord will give the WHO power to declare pandemics and require member states to give the WHO the “central role” as “the directing and coordinating authority on international health work” in areas like medical supply chains, treatments and lockdowns. However, the WHO also wants more power over surveillance and controlling “disinformation and fake news” when a pandemic is declared.
17 senators, led by Wisconsin’s Ron Johnson, have introduced the “No WHO Pandemic Preparedness Treaty Without Senate Approval Act.” The bill states that the accord should be called a treaty. As a treaty, it would require approval by two-thirds of the Senate.
We obtained a copy of the bill for you here.
“The WHO, along with our federal health agencies, failed miserably in their response to COVID-19,” Sen. Johnson stated. “This failure should not be rewarded with a new international treaty that would increase the WHO’s power at the expense of American sovereignty.”
However, some legal experts believe the legislation will not stop President Joe Biden from signing the accord as the accord was drafted to bypass Senate approval.”
