The picture below is Cody Johnson, a country music singer who sings a very poignant song—“’Till You Can’t”.  (The lyrics are also below.)  This song always reminds me of the people in my life that are gone, but one very important one.  His name was John and we became good friends in middle school.  He was a shy, handsome young man with penetrating brown eyes a girl could get lost in.  And I did.  I had a crush on him for years, but with his shy nature, nothing ever happened.  We were best friends.  Then I met an older guy who became my first boyfriend.  John never cared for him and as the years went by, he began to question my boyfriend’s motives. John and I wrote each other every summer and then still wrote when he finally went off to college.  That first Christmas he came home, he called to get together, but I wasn’t home to take the call.  And I never returned his call.  I had had a talk with my boyfriend about “our future” and just as John had warned me, there was none.  I was embarrassed and didn’t want to admit to John that he had been right.  He went back to college and committed suicide.  His mother said he was depressed over the Christmas break that none of his friends made time for him.  I will never forgive myself for that.  But I did learn a lesson.  I tell people that I love them—often—and I ask how they are and I let them know I appreciate them in my life. “ ‘Cause you’ll never know how bad you wanna till you can’t someday…”

Another song that rings true with me is “When It Rains It Pours” by Luke Combs.  His girlfriend leaves and he thinks it’s gonna be the “death” of him and it turns out to be his “saving grace”.  Been there!  The decision to keep my child was not an easy one—it was the most difficult of my life—but I stood firm in my beliefs and guess what?  My child led me to the love of my life!!! Things happen for a reason!

The last song here is a good reminder that there are 2 sides to every story and you may be surprised by who’s lying to you.  The man in this song, is being gracious—breakups are inevitable at times—but how we treat others going forward is paramount.  Don’t jump the gun and don’t spread lies.  The coverup is always worse.

    Other witnesses described the sheer terror that ensued as the opening bars of “Last Christmas” by Wham! began to play. “I understand the overwhelming urge to sing out joyfully under the circumstances,” said Yosef bar Simon, another shepherd at the scene, “but ‘Last Christmas’ by Wham! is simply objectionable. Really killed the mood, I think.”

    As the angels continued to sing, shepherds and sheep alike scattered screaming into the Judean hillside in an attempt to escape. Reports of angels following the terrified shepherds while still singing were unconfirmed.

    At publishing time, the word was spreading throughout Bethlehem to be on the lookout for further angelic musical harassment, as it was rumored that Heaven’s song list also includes “All I Want for Christmas Is You” by Mariah Carey and “The Chipmunk Song” by Alvin & The Chipmunks.”

Essentially, you are giving him $99 in personal funds he can use on the campaign with no restrictions, outside of WinRed, and he is giving you something of value in return much like Hunter’s paintings. The transactions were then hidden in the “Dark Pool” sister fund at Citadel designed for black box investing.

  17. I decided to distract myself taking pics…..my patio – a thin layer of snow on everything.


    I wanted to try to get a pic of the blowing snow but this is the best I could do. If you look in the top right corner, you can see some swirls in the air that is blowing snow. We actually had the sun peep thru for a few minutes but still windy as hell and it didn’t last long. Temp has gone up, at least, but still only 23.

    ENTIRE ARTICLE: “A 14-year-old boy has died after being hit by a car in Montpellier after a night of civil unrest across major French cities following France’s 2-0 victory over Morocco in Wednesday’s FIFA World Cup semi-final.

    French news outlet Le Parisien reported images circulating on social media purporting to show a group of young men, believed to be fans of the Moroccan national football team, approaching a white vehicle flying a French tricolor flag as the car was stationary in traffic in the city.

    The French newspaper suggests the young man was “apparently trying to snatch the flag when the driver of the car suddenly started and swerved in the direction of the group,” before running over the young man and fleeing the scene without stopping.

    A statement by the prefect of l’Hérault, Hugues Moutouh, confirmed the death after “a young boy was violently hit following the football World Cup semi-final match.

    “Transferred to the hospital in absolute urgency; he died shortly after his medical treatment. Our thoughts go out to his family and loved ones. The vehicle was found near the scene of the accident and placed in receivership. The police investigation is progressing rapidly under the direction of the prosecution,” the statement read.

    According to the deputy of Nupes de l’Hérault, Nathalie Oziol, the incident occurred in the popular district of La Paillade. She tweeted her regret that “the sporting event ended in absolute tragedy.”

    Civil unrest erupted in several French cities following Morocco’s semi-final defeat, repeating similar scenes witnessed across multiple European countries in the aftermath of Moroccan games at this year’s flagship football tournament where Morocco became the first ever Arab nation to advance to the final four of the competition.

    There were also reports of civil unrest in neighboring Belgium as police mobilized to prevent a repeat of rioting witnessed in the country following Morocco’s defeat of Belgium earlier in the tournament. As well as Montpellier, there were reports of clashes between French and Moroccan supporters in Paris and Avignon, while footage circulating on social media showed looting and rioting by Moroccan fans in the city of Lyon where, according to independent online magazine Lyon Mag, “rioters forced their way into downtown buildings to find new trash cans to fuel barricades.”

    Tensions spilled out in Paris onto the Champs-Élysées where French broadcaster BFMTV reported a total of 115 people were arrested by authorities, according to police sources. Online footage from Avignon shows a group of people sporting Moroccan football shirts trashing a smoking vehicle abandoned in the city as rioters took over the streets.

    The scenes witnessed across the country could have been worse had it not been for the mobilization of more than 10,000 police officers tasked with controlling flaring tensions after the match, with more than 5,000 officers deployed to the Paris region alone. 10,000 police and gendarmes were mobilized across the country to supervise the supporters of the two teams, including 5,000 in Paris and the Paris region, according to Le Parisien.

    France’s Minister of the Interior Gerald Darmanin tweeted on Thursday morning his gratitude to authorities who “allowed those who wanted to celebrate the victory of France and the beautiful course of Morocco to do so.” “Thoughts for the family of the young boy run over by a driver in Montpellier,” he added, without reference to the numerous videos of other incidents that occurred in a night of chaos across France.”

    (For anyone wondering how Paul’s prescriptions could affect Americans, note that he doesn’t say his prohibition should be limited to India; rather, he makes a blanket case for such a thing in principle.)

    Of course, few Westerners endorse forcible conversions, and fraud and deception are surely immoral. Yet if using deception to sway others were illegal, we’d have to jail virtually every politician in the country (what country? Take your pick). But “allurement”?”

    ‘Reckless’: McDonald’s, Walmart, Taco Bell Fueling Antibiotic Resistance Crisis — Data released Monday by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration reveal an increase in the sales of medically important antibiotics for use in the production of chicken, beef and pork. An investigation by The Bureau of Investigative Journalism and The Guardian names retailers and restaurant chains sourcing beef containing harmful antibiotics.”

    EXCERPT: “Data released Monday by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) reveal a significant increase in the sales of medically important antibiotics for use in the production of chicken, beef and pork for human consumption. The revelation comes seven years after the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services released its National Action Plan for combating antimicrobial resistance, and two years after the plan was updated.

    The FDA report also follows the release of a joint investigation by The Bureau of Investigative Journalism (TBIJ) and The Guardian revealing that several major retailers and restaurant chains — including McDonald’s, Taco Bell and Walmart — are sourcing beef that originates from farms using a specific category of antibiotics linked to impacts on human health and the spread of “superbugs.”

    TBIJ’s investigation, published Nov. 21, drew from “unpublished U.S. government records,” revealing that beef produced for meat packing firms such as Cargill, Green Bay and JBS came from industrial farms using antibiotics categorized as the “highest-priority critically important” (HP-CIA) to human health.

    The FDA report revealed that, despite an overall 1% decrease in antibiotic sales to the livestock industry in 2021 as compared to 2020, there were increases in antibiotic sales for use in the production of chicken (12%), pork (3%) and beef (1%).

    Coupled with data showing that in 2021, chicken and pork production actually decreased compared to 2020, the results show “more antibiotics were sold for use in fewer animals,” according to Civil Eats and data from the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).

    “The reckless overuse of medically important antibiotics on factory farms is a major contributor to this deadly public health threat,” said U.S. Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.) who has advocated for stricter controls on how antibiotics can be used in food production, according to The Guardian.”
