The next time you find yourself in Philadelphia, you may want to consider paying a visit to the infamous Mütter Museum. It was founded in 1863, after Dr. Thomas Dent Mütter donated his collection of medical anomalies, wax models, diseased specimens, and medical equipment to The College of Physicians of Philadelphia. Today, the museum boasts a collection of over 20,000 specimens, with about 15 percent on view to the public—and that’s PLENTY!
While serving as a storehouse for the anatomically peculiar, the museum’s display of tens of thousands of provocative items gives an eerie, beneath-the-surface perspective of what physicians study on a daily basis. Inside you’ll find a wide smattering of abnormal body parts remaining preserved in fluid, skeletal formations — like that of a 7’6” man — that don’t seem quite physically possible and tastefully displayed diseased and enlarged organs residing within glass-encased oak frames.
Medical oddities of all kinds captivate visitors, but highlights include Marie Curie’s electrometer, Dr. Benjamin Rush’s medicine chest, slides of cells from Albert Einstein’s brain, and, most spectacularly, the death cast of Chang and Eng, the original “Siamese Twins,” whose autopsy was performed in the museum. There’s also the “Soap Lady” and a 139 collection of human skulls.
Though it was originally intended for biomedical research, the Mütter Museum is a funhouse for those with a morbid sense of curiosity. But be sure to skip lunch before your visit, lest you lose your meal. In no particular order, here are some of the CREEPIEST exhibits.
1. Chevalier Jackson Foreign Body Collection
The otolaryngologist (a doctor that studies disorders of the ears, nose, throat, head and neck) Chevalier Jackson was a physician who worked at The College of Physicians of Philadelphia in the early 1900s. He became famous for developing new methods to remove foreign objects from the human body, such as things that had become lodged in his patients’ airways. Nearly all the foreign objects he removed from throats, esophagi, and lungs over his 75-year-long career in medicine are on display at the Mütter Museum. These 2,374 objects include “buttons, pins, nuts, coins, bones, screws, dentures and bridges, small toys, among many other items.”
2. Books Bound with Human Skin
You’ll find several anthropodermic books, or books bound in human skin, at the Mütter Museum. The museum’s neighbor, the Historical and Medical Library, holds the largest collection of anthropodermic books in the world. There you can see three books bound in the skin of a woman named Mary Lynch, who died from trichinosis (a parasite that comes from pigs). During her autopsy, a large portion of skin from Mary’s thigh was saved, and three medical books about childbirth were bound with it.
3. Baby Born with No Skull
One of the largest collections at the Mütter Museum is what they call “wet specimens,” parts of the human anatomy preserved in jars of formaldehyde. Because of their fragile nature, the 1,300 jars representing every part of the human anatomy are kept in constant rotation. One particularly disturbing specimen is a baby born without a skull: a fetus that could not sustain life outside the womb.
4. Hyrtl Skull Collection

Mütter’s Hyrtl Skull Collection is made up of 139 human skulls which belonged to Viennese anatomist Joseph Hyrtl, whose life work was the study of the Caucasian population of Europe. Hyrtl wanted to show variation in cranial anatomy as an argument against essentialist theories about race. Each skull is mounted on the wall, and many are inscribed with Hyrtl’s notes about the person’s age, place of origin, and cause of death.
5. Conjoined Liver of Chang and Eng Bunker
Chang and Eng Bunker were Thai-American conjoined twins who were born in 1811 and died in 1874. They were joined at the sternum and shared a liver. Other than that, however, they were two fully-grown, independent men. The two made a life for themselves in North Carolina, and even got married to a pair of sisters. Chang had 11 children, and Eng 10. The fused liver that the two shared is now on display at the Mütter museum, as is a death cast of their torso.
6. Two-Headed Baby

In addition to Chang and Eng’s liver, the Mütter Museum also owns a large collection of conjoined fetal specimens, including a two-headed baby, as part of their wet specimens collection. Known as “Jim and Joe,” this two-headed baby, in a jar full of formaldehyde rests in the Gretchen Worden room, named after the Mütter Museum’s beloved curator who died in 2004.
7. John Wilkes Booth’s Vertebra
History buffs will love the specimen of the spineless (get it?) man who assassinated Abraham Lincoln. Shortly after Booth was killed during a shootout with the police, his body was sent to Washington, where it was autopsied. The three vertebrae (3rd, 4th, and 5th) were removed to allow access to the bullet, and sent to the College of Medicine in Washington, D.C. Some of that vertebrae and a piece of his thorax ended up on display at the Mütter Museum.
8. The Soap Lady

Exhumed in 1875, the Mütter Museum’s Soap Lady gets her name from the waxy, soap-like condition of her remains. Corpses high in body fat are prone to this rare chemical condition, which preserves the body in a waxy coating of broken-down fat called adipocere. Scientists at the Mütter Museum believe the Soap Lady died sometime in the 1800s. Her corpse was exhumed from a local cemetery to make way for construction, and Joseph Leidy, a professor of anatomy at the University of Philadelphia, jumped at the chance to study the unusual phenomenon.
9. Jaw Tumor of President Grover Cleveland
Another highlight of the wet specimens collection is a large tumor that was extracted from President Grover Cleveland’s jaw in 1893. With the country in financial turmoil, Cleveland didn’t want to upset the American populace even more, so he had the surgery on a boat and said he’d had a tooth extracted. Luckily the tumor was benign, but it left Cleveland with a significant disfigurement.
10. The Skeleton of Harry Eastlack
Harry Eastlack, born in 1933, suffered from an extremely rare condition known as fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva, or FOP, in which the repair mechanism in the bones of the body works in overdrive, turning muscle and other tissue into bone. By the time Eastlack died in 1973, just short of his 40th birthday, his entire body had ossified, and he could barely move his lips to speak. His unusual skeleton is on display at the Mütter museum.
11. The Eye Wall

12. Soccer Ball-Sized Ovary
If the eye wall and the baby without a skull weren’t enough to put you off your lunch, one of the highlights of the wet specimens is a soccer ball-sized cancerous ovary. Creepy enough to motivate you to book that yearly physical?

fetterwoman’s campaign blaming the equipment for his bad performance…the network fights back
entire article
John Fetterman’s humiliation last night is the fault of his wife, his campaign, and a desperate Democrat party. The candidate who had a stroke and is, as Morning Joe ON MSNBC was forced to admit this morning, “impaired,” was put on that stage and embarrassed because of the handlers and his wife, who thought they could bully him across the finish line.
But it was NOT the fault of News Nation or Nexstar or technology in any way, and they are calling him OUT for saying so.
“Both candidates agreed to the technical set-up for the closed captioning process weeks ago, which was implemented at the request of the Fetterman campaign. Both candidates were offered the opportunity for two full rehearsals with the same equipment used in tonight’s debate. Mr. Fetterman chose to do only one,” the company’s communications officer Gary Weitman said in a statement.
“In fact, Nexstar’s prouction team went to extraordinary lengths to ensure the effectiveness of the closed captioning process, and to accomodate several last-minute requests of the Fetterman campaign.”
Statement from our parent company, @NXSTMediaGroup, in response to the @JohnFetterman campaign claiming he was “working off of delayed captions filled with errors” during last night’s Pennsylvania Senate debate on @NewsNation pic.twitter.com/PUT5ELfQ0C
— Robert Sherman (@RobertShermanTV) October 26, 2022
“The closed captioning process functioned as expected during rehearsal and again during tonight’s debate. We regret that Mr. Fetterman and his campaign feel otherwise.”
That’s a boom at the end there. They are calling you out, Fetterman campaign.
They attacked an MSNBC reporter for saying he was impaired when he is obviously impaired. They stirred up a whole mob against her. Then Gisele Fetterman demanded punishment. The rest of the media joined the frenzy.
And now they are trying to do the same thing again to Nexstar and News Nation.
But this time the target is fighting back.

my goodness PA can screw up anything!!! different rules for registration vs mail in ballot—almost a quarter of a million mail in ballots sent out without proper ids!!!!!! BY LAW those MUST BE SET aside and NOT COUNTED unless a proper id is produced…
entire article
Almost a quarter of a million ballots were mailed to Pennsylvania voters without verifying their identity, state lawmakers say in a letter seeking answers from the state’s top election official.
“According to the data, as of Oct. 21, 2022, a staggering 240,000 ballots are ‘NOT VERIFIED,’” 15 Republicans in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives write Tuesday in the letter to acting Secretary of the Commonwealth Leigh Chapman.
“That is an enormous number of ballots, which, according to the law, must be set aside and not counted for the 2022 General Election unless the voter produces lD,” the lawmakers write.
Rep. Frank Ryan, a member of the House State Government Committee, led the letter. It cites data on unverified ballots for the Nov. 8 election produced by the Pennsylvania Department of State, which Chapman heads.
Ryan and the 14 other GOP lawmakers add:
This will force the counties to, as one county election director described it, ‘go after the missing information’ to obtain proof of lD for the unverified ballots. What level of additional staffing is allocated for counties to attempt to contact and verify the identity of these quarter of a million of ballot recipients? Many of these unverified ballots are likely the result of transposition of numbers or letters but the purpose of the law is to ensure integrity. The law requires matching therefore all must be set aside and lD verified prior to being counted.
Chapman’s office didn’t respond immediately to The Daily Signal’s request for comment on this report.
The state lawmakers’ letter says the problem stems from a 20l8 directive from her office “instructing counties to register voters without verification of identity.”
Ryan told The Daily Signal that a 2019 state audit found that the secretary of the commonwealth’s office was uncooperative and had an unreliable system for keeping election records under its Statewide Uniform Registry of Electors system, or SURE.
“All we are trying to do is get ahead of the balloting process this year,” Ryan said in a phone interview. “We are letting the [Pennsylvania] Department of State know we can minimize the number of challenges and fix this before the election.”
Ryan stressed that the issue isn’t about the outcome of elections.
“No one is saying this determines who wins and loses,” Ryan said. “We are just saying the database is so broken it needs to be fixed.”
The letter notes that during a Sept. 14 hearing by the Pennsylvania House State Government Committee, Ryan asked Jonathan Marks, deputy secretary for elections and commissions, to explain why the secretary’s office made so many requests to the Social Security Administration’s Help America Vote Verification system.
Marks responded that it was to verify information on applications for mail-in ballots. He told the committee that if someone submits invalid identification, the counties still must send a mail-in ballot to that requester.
During the hearing, Marks stressed the difference between voter registration and voting.
“[In] voter registration, there is no federal requirement or state requirement that those numbers match or that every voter has to have one of those two numbers,” Marks told the Pennsylvania House committee, referring to either a state Transportation Department ID number or the last four digits of a Social Security number.
“With mail-in balloting, it is a requirement,” Marks said. “lf when you apply, your PennDOT lD cannot be verified or your last four of SSN cannot be verified, the county can still issue the ballot, but the ballot doesn’t count unless the voter provides a valid form of lD.”
However, the lawmakers’ letter notes, the Pennsylvania Department of State contradicted Marks when it issued guidance on Sept. 26 for examining return envelopes for absentee ballots. That guidance tells counties that verification of who a voter is must happen before they send such ballots to an applicant.
“Before sending the ballot to the applicant, the county board of elections confirms the qualifications of the applicant by verifying the proof of identification,” the state guidance says.
The total of 240,000 unverified ballots stands as of Oct. 21 data, the GOP lawmakers say in their letter. They ask the secretary’s office to issue a clarification to county election offices and to provide a list of applicants who requested mail-in ballots.
“Due to the conflicting information provided by your deportment,” Ryan and the other lawmakers write to Chapman, “counties should be required to certify that all of these ballots have been set aside and make a record of the type of identification produced by the voter who previously provided non-matching ID.”

“France: Protests against murder of 12-year-old Lola sparks probe into ‘right-wing’ groups —

Right-wing politicians and protesters have insisted on the immediate deportation of migrants who have been ordered to leave France”
Demonstration in Lyon against the brutal murder of a 12-year-old. (Twitter screen capture)
Entire Article @ ReMIX: “The brutal rape and murder of the 12-year-old Parisian schoolgirl known only as Lola continues to spark heated social debates about French immigration policy. In the latest development, the prosecutors’ office of the French city of Lyon opened an inquiry into possible incitement to hatred by a right-wing group that protested the inaction of the authorities.
The investigation was opened after the prefect of the Rhône district referred the matter to the public prosecutor. In a statement sent to BFM Lyon, the prosecutor’s office said it had opened an investigation into the charge of “public incitement to hatred or violence against a person or group of people because of their origin or their membership of an ethnic group, nation, race or religion.”
The investigation has been entrusted to the Rhône departmental public security directorate. In a letter addressed to French President Emmanuel Macron on Monday, Lyon mayor Gregory Doucet called on the head of state to act against “those who incite hatred and demonstrate violent and anti-republican behavior,” citing in particular the demonstration on Friday.
Specifically, he called for the dissolution of the Remparts, a far-right group in Lyon, one of whose leaders claimed to have organized the rally on social networks.
Since Lola’s murder, conservative elected officials have insisted on carrying out the so-called obligations to leave French territory (OQTFs) to which the main suspect was subject. Several rallies have been organized by conservatives across France.
Official data from the French government shows that the Algerian murder suspect is one of many who have avoided deportation, with the case highlighting how, despite promises from the Macron government, French authorities have been unable or unwilling to enforce immigration law, only succeeding in enforcing 0.2 percent of the expulsion orders.”

Entire Article: “The Western media have largely ignored Russia’s repeated pleas to the UN pertaining to the US Biological Network in Ukraine. It appears something changed, as yesterday, the Left-wing media found themselves unable to avoid reporting on the growing calls for the enactment of Article VI of the Biological Weapons Convention.
Below you can see Left-wing outlet, The Hill, reporting via the Associated Press, that Russia are progressing towards Article VI of the BWC, which would be a UN Security Counsel investigation of the biolabs in Ukraine.1

This is nothing new to all of my loyal Substack followers, but 99% of the Western world had no idea this was going on, because the MSM have refused to report on it. These allegations have been formally presented over the course of the past 8 months, and the media buried it.
But now, after Russia’s 8 months of evidence, exposing US biological malfeasance, human experimentation, pathogen negligence, and weapon production; the UN Security Counsel have found themselves unable to ignore Russia’s allegations, as well as the pressure from the rest of the non-NATO countries of the world.
The Western media don’t report on it, but the rest of the world are completely sick of the Western world (Globalists) and their biological activity, which they allege led to the C19 outbreak.
What we are witnessing, is the global backlash for Covid. Someone released a bioweapon on the world, it turns out it was the people who benefited from it most, the US DNC and their Deep State partners. Who created and released the virus to justify mass mail-in voting, to use voter fraud to steal the election, abuse emergency powers to gain control, etc etc.
The ruling families of the DNC created and released a bioweapon, killing millions and ruining the world, in order to retain power. Simple as that.

So for everyone who asked “what’s taking so long”, or said “nothing is going to happen”, you have to realize that allegations of this magnitude take a long time to deliver. The crimes alleged are quite literally the most severe known to all humanity, with the most severe punishment.
In conclusion, the DNC are about to be under UN Security Council investigation for violating international law and violating the Biological Weapons Treaty of 1972. Those suspected of crimes against humanity, would be subject to international military tribunals, and the punishment is death. If the public were more aware of this, the DNC would face sure extinction in the 2022 midterms.
For those wondering how the military would come into play to hold the Deep State accountable, this is without a doubt the most direct and most plausible legal avenue. We wouldn’t need the US Justice system at all. Speedy trail. Death penalty. Mass public awakening.”

Bill Introduced in Congress to Restore Gold Standard

Entire Article @ New American: “Legislation has been introduced in Congress to restore the gold standard — a major step toward adhering to the U.S. Constitution and bringing back sound-money policies. H.R. 9157, titled the Gold Standard Restoration Act, is sponsored by U.S. Representative Alex Mooney (R-W.Va.). If enacted, it would be a significant step to restoring sanity to U.S. monetary policy.
In its list of legislative findings, the bill correctly notes that “The Federal Reserve note has lost more than 30 percent of its purchasing power since 2000, and 97 percent of its purchasing power since the passage of the Federal Reserve Act in 1913,” and it notes that under official Fed policy, “the dollar loses half of its purchasing power every … 35 years.”
Emphasizing the need for “a stable dollar, fixed exchange rates, and money supply controlled by the market not the government,” H.R. 9157 states that returning to the gold standard is necessary for monetary and fiscal sanity, along with limited government. It states, “The gold standard puts control of the money supply with the market instead of the Federal Reserve, discourages excessive deficit spending, and encourages the balancing of Federal budgets.”
Substantively, H.R. 9157 — as the bill title suggests — restores the gold standard for the U.S. dollar. Specifically, it requires the Secretary of the Treasury to “define the Federal Reserve note dollar in terms of a fixed weight of gold, based on that day’s closing market price of gold,” and to make them “redeemable for and exchangeable with gold.”
Additionally, the bill requires the Federal Reserve to fully disclose all its gold holdings, along with all gold transactions since 1961. This would go a long way toward bringing to light the Fed’s activities that very few people are aware of due to the unconstitutional entity’s secrecy and lack of congressional oversight.
Ultimately, the Federal Reserve is a significant danger to liberty, one that is simultaneously degrading people’s livelihoods and our nation’s prosperity. Not only is the central bank unconstitutional, but it has a key role in the conspiracy to bring about a one-world socialist government.
Ultimately, Congress must completely abolish the Federal Reserve. However, H.R. 9157 would be a great first step toward restoring adherence to the Constitution and sound monetary policy. Congress would be wise to support and enact this bill.
To urge your U.S. representative and senators to support H.R. 9157, visit The John Birch Society’s legislative alert here. Additionally, visit the JBS’s “End the Fed” action-project page here for additional tools and resources.”

“Northeast Facing Possible Heating-oil Shortages This Winter”

Entire Article @ NewAmerican:
“New England power producers are warning millions of Americans in the Northeast of the potential for rolling blackouts this winter as well as limited, or even rationed, heating-oil supplies. The warning comes as worldwide energy supplies have reportedly reached a crisis level caused by horrible government enforced green-energy policies and the war in Ukraine.
With heating oil being a major source for home heating in New England, suppliers in the Northeast have begun rationing the fuel ahead of winter, after stockpiles dropped to a third of their normal levels. Then add the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) forecast that “most of the country will be slightly colder than both last winter and the average winter for the previous 10 winters,” and you end up with serious concerns of supply shortages and soaring prices for home heating.
Chris Herb, president of the Connecticut Energy Marketers Association (CEMA), told Bloomberg recently that heating oil wholesalers are beginning to limit allocations for retail suppliers as New England’s stockpiles are approximately 70 percent lower than their average level since 1993.
This recent announcement must have caused some consumers to panic, as Herb spoke on a local radio program on Wednesday to “set the record straight regarding home heating oil supplies and misinformation circulating!”
“We are under allocation, NOT shortage. There is plenty of home heating oil to meet the needs of Connecticut homeowners” tweeted Herb. Adding, “I think some politicians are trying to seize the moment and politicize this issue; there’s a lot of social media chatter on it, but our members are making home heating oil deliveries every day!”
CEMA President Herb continued, “When people talk about shortages, they don’t exist today. Home heating oil dealers can get it at every point of supply in CT and the only thing that can disrupt that is politicians who tell people to top off! Topping off is like going to buy 5 months of toilet paper during Covid and then your neighbor doesn’t have any toilet paper. That’s what we are trying to avoid.”
The issue with supplies being lower this year is caused by the same factors impacting world oil markets, including the failure to rebuild production capacity following the pandemic, and disruptions from Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the related Western sanctions on Russian oil and gas. Then add in Biden’s war on domestic energy production and his green anti-human environmental policies, and you end up with a “perfect storm” that will only expose the Left’s desire to destroy America in the name of protecting us from the consequences of climate change.
Inflation will add to the cost of heating homes in the Northeast and across the nation as well. Last week’s Energy Information Association’s short-term energy outlook report shows that wholesale prices at energy trading hubs will be 20 percent to 60 percent higher on average for the winter of 2022–23. The increases will be passed along to end users, some of whom could have monthly utility bills of over $1,000 this winter. That’s if they can get heating fuel and electricity.
The Wall Street Journal shared, “The New England ISO expects that the grid can weather a mild-to-moderate winter without significant reliability challenges. However, it has warned that electricity demand could threaten to surge beyond available supply after multiple sustained periods of severely cold weather, which would result in calls for conservation similar to those issued in California in September during a region-wide heat wave.”
Who really wants to suffer through rolling blackouts and conserving heating oil when it’s 10 degrees outside? No one does. However, it seems that the predominately Democrat-controlled Northeast is about to face this Soviet Union type of problem, and it may just be time to start splitting firewood as a back-up plan to heating their homes.
As for Biden and his green-energy loving friends, winter’s bright spot may just be the fact that their energy policies will go up in flames, as it will become quite obvious the nation’s energy supplies and infrastructure are grossly insufficient to meet current demand. That alone will hopefully change people’s minds on the ludicrous green-energy mandates and goals set by government. America needs to become energy-independent again and build a power grid capable of supporting the nation’s growing energy needs.”

Speaking of murders near me…..this town is only 37 minutes from me! They are talking about the alleged murders in IA on tonight’s news. This is from August 5 about 4 other murders:
“NSP identifies Laurel homicide victims, says suspect airlifted to Lincoln to treat burns — Arrest made across the street from where four people were found dead in two burning homes”
LAUREL, Neb. (WOWT) – The Nebraska State Patrol on Friday shared the names of the four people killed Thursday in a small northeastern Nebraska town and confirmed that a suspect in the homicides had been arrested. Michele Ebeling, 53, was found dead in the first home authorities responded to early Thursday morning. Gene Twiford, 86, Janet Twiford, 85, and Dana Twiford, 55, were found dead — and had been shot — in the second home.
NSP Col. John Bolduc said during a Friday morning news conference that Jason A. Jones, 42, had been arrested in a Laurel home — across the street from the two homes where four people were found dead a day earlier. “He has not been booked yet because he is in the hospital,” Bolduc said. Upon his arrest, Jones was found to have serious burns over a large part of his body and was airlifted to a hospital in Lincoln, Bolduc said, adding that the suspect is believed to be in serious condition.
Earlier on Friday, sister station KTIV reported that law enforcement swarmed a house near the two crime scenes in the small town, and that police could be heard over a loudspeaker telling someone that they had a warrant for their arrest and that they should come out unarmed.
While he said he wasn’t at the scene Friday morning, Bolduc said during the news conference that no gunfire was exchanged but noted that flash-bangs are often used as a diversionary tactic when trying to arrest a dangerous suspect. “The suspect was taken into custody without any violence,” Bolduc said, adding that authorities believe “there is no more danger to the Laurel community or northeast Nebraska as a result of this arrest.”
Members of the Laurel community told 6 News on Thursday that they were worried after hearing about the multiple deaths. The crime scenes were first discovered about 3 a.m. Thursday when there was a call for a house fire. Firefighters discovered a body inside, according to NSP. Soon, another house fire was called three blocks away; three more bodies were found inside that house.
Police were given a vague description of a man in the area who had been seen leaving town in a car after possibly picking someone up.”

I had a small triumph today…..I’m the world’s worst driver when it comes to patience with other drivers, of course. I was heading north on Hwy 81 towards the edge of Norfolk and went from a 35 mph zone to 45 mph – as usual, I had looked ahead and saw there was a whole line of trucks in the right lane up ahead. So I looked in my left-hand mirror and saw I had clearance to move over into the center lane. So I turned on my left signal and started to move over. As soon as this big, fancy SUV saw me turn on my signal, they gunned their engine, then tried to pretend that I was coming over on them, honking at me. I proceeded with my change of lane, got past the trucks, then moved back over and waved them on by.
They had a 40 county plate (which is my county) with a very low number, like 10A or something. You only get a number that low if you are some kind of county official. I didn’t recognize them but, then, I never looked at the people inside. We moved into the 50 mph zone and I moved back over to the center lane to turn left at the next light. Immediately after that turn, on the right, is the old highway to Hadar (called “the Hadar Road”) which cuts off some distance from those who go straight, then turn off of Hwy 81 onto Hwy 13 and go thru Hadar.
I beat those bastids to Hwy 13 by at least a mile! And I didn’t even speed…well, ok, 5 mph over but that’s not speeding around this state. It’s a known rule – the cops won’t pull you over unless you are doing more than 5 mph. Except in town, of course.

My biggest thing is at least go the speed limit. If you aren’t capable of at least that, then you shouldn’t be driving! Period! And don’t be speeding up and slowing down on the hiway! Lordy, that drives me simply bonkers! I set my cruise for 5 mph over the limit and cruise. My speedometer is off by about 3-4 mph anyway so….it’s not like I’m flying down the road after all! I’m actually only doing about 67-68 with a speed limit of 65.
Since it is harvest season, the Meadow Grove road had a bunch of semi’s going both directions, and farmers on tractors pulling grain trucks. I had to go that way since I didn’t have enough gas to go the long way and wanted to get the cheap gas in MG — $3.34 vs. $3.59 per gal here. I got stuck behind a semi and it has been so dry, with next to no wind today, the dust just hung in the air, so badly that I couldn’t even see 10 feet in front of me in places!
Thankfully, most of our county roads are very straight and I know that road like the back of my hand (hmmmm…that’s a saying I need to research) so I just slowed down when I lost sight of the tail end of the trailer. But it was pretty bad for a while there, especially when I had 4 semi’s coming towards me in the same stretch.

to get anywhere here, you gotta travell the interstate highways–speed limit is 70 so of course, the NYer’s gotta fly way OVER that…given that the highways are surrounded by mountains, and trees–that can be dangerous with wildlife running onto the road.
scares me

Oh, I did a lot of that in VA! Since I had horses, I always lived out there in farm country. One of the things I dearly love about home is our country roads! LOL – pretty hard to get hopelessly lost, tbh.

I sure hope this weather man is right….we are supposed to start getting rain tonight, scattered light showers, and perhaps more significant rain tomorrow. Temps stay in the 50’s, low’s in the mid-to-high 30’s. Upper 60’s during the day thru the week end.

A Gab correspondent claimed that that rabies shots/vaccines are dangerous & killing animals then shared this video as proof.
I hope our science guys check this out for clues & possibly refutation…

copied from the Q-Tree:
Good news & Thanks for your prayers.
My son Brandon was able to get his exemption paperwork in for his EMT training. He is able to work at the one site that doesn’t Require the “vax” for his clinical hours. He needs to get 5 or 6 12 hour shifts in before his class ends in December. He said the Paramedic trainees need to get Many More clinical hours so they have a much harder time completing requirements w/ the exemption. Neither the clinical sites nor the school recognize Natural Immunity (since who can make money off of that?)–sigh.
Also, today he is going to Finally Visit his girlfriend in Canada. He’s going to drive across the border & then take the train to Toronto & spend the weekend. He’s taking some of his textbooks so he can do some classwork in transit.
We are So Thankful that he was willing to wait until the border stopped the shot tyranny. However it was Really close to the wire. He had been planning to visit for this last weekend in October to coincide w/ his girlfriend’s family’s activities. If the border restrictions hadn’t dropped when they did he was Very close to (extremely reluctantly) taking that slab jab.
Once the border was “open” when the class issues arose he was like “If I wouldn’t take the shot to see the woman I love I sure as Hell won’t take it for school!” Hopefully he’ll get his clinicals in on time & complete his training for EMT so he can then be considered for a firefighting job, as most around here Also require the EMT certification.
He just submitted an application to our local fire department after my husband had a conversation with the firefighter in charge there when he was making a delivery for his new company. It sounded like Brandon could have a firefighting job “waiting” like a mile from our house once he finishes that schooling.
Thanks so much for praying for Brandon & his convoluted needs–God keeps coming through “just in time” ❤ 😇 ❤
Ironically with our daughter (& second grandchild “on board”) & son-in-law moving into our neighborhood (they had an offer accepted but are still in that process) & our son & daughter-in-law & granddaughter nearby & our special son & daughter-in-law living w/ her family in our city…if B gets that job we’ll have all 4 of our kids & all our kids-in-law living or working w/in 2 miles of us…so we can gather them in & better protect them given what appears to be “something wicked this way comes”.
God is So Good & we are Blessed beyond measure (but not without heartache & challenges to continue to surmount). Your prayers have been instrumental!!!

Ground Report:
My husband has been attempting to put together another band now that his job situation has “stabilized” (relatively). It’s shaping up to be a Christian/Christians in a band situation & is roughly half guys from our generation & half from our kids’, including our oldest son (I shared that cover he did of a Dance Gavin Dance song here previously) & His brother-in-law.
Anyway Michael & Nathaniel went to a local second-hand music shop, Mike Carey’s on Fort Street in Wyandotte (I think) if you’re in the area. Hubby’s done business with him for like 20 years now.
Anyway M said that MC was looking pretty rough, wearing a pair of glasses that was missing one of the arms & he was actually pretty scared that his business wouldn’t make it. He said he gets 50-60 calls a day more than half are from people who are hoping to sell their musical instruments or equipment through him.
He’s never seen Anything like it. He’s hoping he won’t have to close down but the winter is looking pretty grim now. M & N made purchases totally $800 & even with the rough time Mike Carey still gave great service & steered then toward more economical options when the quality was comparable.
I’m so thankful that this business has remained open so far but seen these issues as pretty reflective of the signs of the times & the continuing hardships small businesses are facing just trying to stay afloat.
Here’s my son in that cover…he’s likely going to be lead singer in the new band!
