5 Crowns is a fun card game for 2 or more players. It’s similar to Rummy, with some notable exceptions: there are 5 suits, no aces or deuces–but there are jokers, additional rotating wild cards and 11 rounds!
The object of the game is to be the player with the lowest score at the end of the 11th round. After shuffling both decks together (each deck has 58 cards each), the game begins by dealing 3 cards to each player. Each round, the number of cards dealt increases by one. In the second round deal 4 cards, in the third round deal 5 cards and so on until the last round when each player is dealt 13 cards. Similarly, the rotating wild cards are based on the number of cards dealt that round. So, when 3 cards are dealt, the 3s are wild, when 4 cards are dealt, the 4s are wild and so on until the last round when the Kings go wild.
Place the remaining cards in the center of the table to make the draw pile and flip over the top card to start the discard pile. Start your turn by drawing a card from the draw pile OR picking up the top card from the discard pile. You can only take the top card. Keep all of your books and/or runs in your hand until you are able to go out. Complete your turn by discarding one card.
Going Out: Start your turn as normal, then lay down your entire hand in books and/or runs on the table in front of you before discarding your last card. You can only use the number of cards you were dealt to make your books and/or runs. You must have one card left to discard. Your discard can be a playable card.
Books
A book consists of three or more cards of the same value regardless of suit. For example:

Any card in a book can be replaced by a wild card. For example, if 8s are wild, a book could be:

You can have as many wild cards in a book as you wish and they can be adjacent to each other.
Runs
A run consists of a sequence of three or more consecutive cards of the same suit. For example:

Any card in a run can be replaced by a wild card. For example, if 7s are wild, a run could be:

You can have as many wild cards in a run as you wish and they can be adjacent to each other.

Once a player has gone out, all other players have one more turn. Start your last turn as normal, but lay down any books and/or runs you can before discarding. All unused cards will count toward your score. You are not allowed to play on another player’s books and/or runs. The cards used in books and/or runs are not scored. Players add up only their unused cards. The scorekeeper records and tallies the scores. Card Values: Each number card is worth its face value, Jacks are 11 points, Queens are 12, Kings are 13, Jokers are 50 and the current wild cards are 20 points. Play continues until the 11th round when each player is dealt 13 cards and the Kings go wild.

Good morning! I haven’t played cards in years, except for Uno with P. I used to play Pitch all the time – it was one of the most popular back then here in NE, as well as Rummy.
“Pitch is a card game that revolves around betting and trick-taking to score the most points. This game is rumored to have been invented by a bored hunting party in the 1800s. All you need to play is a deck of cards and at least three people. Begin the game with bidding, play the game, and learn variations for future games.[1]”

layers and layers of middlemen…THAT’S what drives price increases–same with gov’t imo…toooooo many people have their hands in the pot
FTA
When I served as a White House health advisor, I invited a group of large employers to describe the challenges company health plans faced. The top complaint? An obscure type of middleman that’s part of every health plan — the Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM). The PBM industry, with only three giant companies controlling almost 80 percent of the market, offers a seemingly simple value proposition: if you’re an employer or an insurance carrier serving individuals or businesses, hire the PBM to help you get volume discounts on prescription drug makers.
Sounds great! But, what if these middlemen pocketed much of the savings instead of passing them on to employers? What if they only allowed patients access to products that delivered the biggest kickback to the PBM, instead of cheaper and equally effective drugs? What if they merged with insurers administering employer plans, instead of having to compete for their business? What if the newly merged PBM/insurer refused to allow employers to hire a different PBM or specialty or mail-order pharmacy other than the one their insurer owns? What if PBMs sued the federal government to block a regulation that would have required them to disclose to employers the size of their kickbacks?
In a July 12, 2022, piece published in the Wall Street Journal, my former White House colleagues Joe Grogan and Casey Mulligan (now consultants for PBMs) expressed bewilderment about bipartisan opposition to these corrupt business practices. Perhaps opposition arises because, if giant companies needed White House help in beating back PBM predations driving up health costs, what possible chance do smaller employers have, struggling to meet payroll in our inflationary economy? Washington health policy “experts” rarely have experience building health plans out in the real world, and too often make decisions on the basis of which industry group drafts the most compelling talking points.
Outside the Beltway, there’s an insurgency of fed-up employers fighting back against the health care industry’s plunder of Main Street. They’re partnering with independent advisors who help vet PBMs and negotiate PBM contracts. One story close to my heart is that of a group of Catholic nuns who faced double-digit rate hikes on their insurance plan every year for a decade, largely driven by a few high-cost medications. Their insurance company, of course, exclusively partnered with one of the big three PBMs. Once they switched to a transparent PBM that does not take kickbacks from drug makers, the sisters saved 32 percent on their health costs, while reducing their $4,000 annual deductibles to zero.
Matheny Motors, a chain of auto dealerships in the Rust Belt, fired their carrier and Big-3 PBM and saved 37 percent in two years, with the help of independent benefits advisor Bryce Heinbaugh. According to Rachel Means, the San Antonio Independent School District she advises fired its Big-3 PBM and has saved $2.5 million each year, with teachers and their families paying zero out of pocket for medications. Caterpillar, Inc. fired its PBM years ago, directly contracting with pharmacies, and saved 25 percent annually — tens of millions of dollars.

Looks like the Uniparty club wants DeSantis out of Florida – so they are trying to put him in a national race – just like they did when they wanted Palin out of Alaska.
It’s a Uniparty power and profit game and DeSantis in Florida is a hindrance to their power and profit.
Might be fun and serve them right if DeSantis named Trump his VP.

MTG “swatted” at 1am…
FTA
FLOYD COUNTY, Ga. – Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene says that she was a victim of a swatting attack early Wednesday morning in Floyd County.
In a tweet sent shortly before 9 a.m. Wednesday, the Georgia lawmaker says that she was swatted just after 1 a.m. and promised “more details to come.”
Swatting is the act of making a hoax call to 911 to try and draw responses from law enforcement. Suspects can use technology to make it appear that the emergency call is coming from the victim’s phone and the situations it leads to can be deadly.
“I can’t express enough gratitude to my local law enforcement here in Rome, Floyd County,” Greene tweeted.
Greene is not the only Republican lawmaker in Georgia to say they’ve been a victim of swatting. In July, former gubernatorial candidate Kandiss Taylor said she and her family were victims of a swatting call.
Calling the incident “traumatizing,” Taylor said someone had called police and falsely claimed that someone had been murdered at her home.
“I don’t care what political party you are – this is evil. This is not OK. And I will find out who swatted my house. And I will do everything in my power to bring them to justice,” she said.
FOX 5 has reached out to Floyd County law enforcement about the alleged swatting and will update the story as soon as we hear back.

It wasn’t until 2017, decades after McConnell and Chao began to benefit from their family’s ties to China, that the House Committee on Oversight and Reform sent a letter to Chao demanding that she explain her public elevation of her family’s maritime company.
In 2021, months after she resigned from the Trump administration, the Office of Inspector General for the Department of Transportation released a report confirming that Chao “used her official position and taxpayer resources for the benefit of herself and her family.”
Evidence of wrongdoing in the OIG report was communicated in a criminal referral to the Department of Justice U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia and the DOJ Public Integrity Section, but none of the agencies decided to open an investigation.
Chao may no longer hold an official place in the federal government, but she remains a large player in Washington, D.C., through her new role as a board member for the Smithsonian’s Asian Pacific American Center. McConnell, on the other hand, is still the highest-ranking Republican in Congress, who could reassume leadership if the GOP takes back the Senate. Whether voters like it or not, McConnell will likely determine the steps Congress takes to keep communist China’s hands out of the U.S. government.
Given this track record, the likelihood that McConnell will support policies that curb his family’s fortunes is questionable at best. That’s why Trump’s criticism of the McConnells’ close personal and professional relationship with China is long overdue. At a time when Republicans are questioning McConnell’s ability to advance the new GOP’s agenda, raising these connections is nothing short of necessary.

uring an interview with investigators, the manager who found Whiltelaw said she “had complained about Joshua about a year ago because he had made advances toward her, and it made her feel uncomfortable.” Zunino went on to tell police that after an initial human resource-like discussion, Johnson seemed to take the criticism to heart – at least until a few weeks before the slaying.
“Several weeks ago, Riley had requested to work a different schedule because Joshua made her feel uncomfortable,” Johnson’s arrest affidavit says. “When she made another request for additional hours, she was told it would require working with Joshua.”
She took the extra shift and eventually lost her life.
Walgreens is facing criticism from a local labor attorney over the company’s decision to continue scheduling Whitelaw and Johnson together, Colorado Springs ABC affiliate KRDO reports.

EXCERPT: “Two U.S. senators on Tuesday — the day after Dr. Anthony Fauci announced plans to leave his government posts in December — formally requested the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) preserve all documents and communications related to Fauci.
Fauci on Monday said he will retire as director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and as chief medical adviser to President Joe Biden in December to pursue “the next chapter” of his career.
In a letter to HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra, Sen. Roger Marshall (R-Kan.) demanded Becerra “immediately confirm” that HHS is preserving all records related to Fauci and Dr. Francis Collins, who was director of the NIH from August 2009 to December 2021.
“This request applies to all documents, records, memoranda, research, correspondence, or other communication or any portion thereof relevant to any involvement of Dr. Fauci or Dr. Collins,” the letter stated.
Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), in a letter to Lawrence Tabak, D.D.S., Ph.D., acting director of the NIH, asked Tabak to “ensure the preservation of all documents and communications within Dr. Fauci’s possession related to his tenure at the National Institutes of Health (NIH).”

EXCERPT: “In his 1974 book and accompanying article with the shared title of “Medical Nemesis,” philosopher and theologian Ivan Illich boldly asserted that medical professional practice and related health policies, which he characterized as “both industry and religion,” had become “a major threat to health.”
Leading medical figures such as Richard Smith, a long-time medical journal editor and critic of fraudulent health research, later credited Illich with “remarkable” prescience about iatrogenesis — the cover term for ailments “where doctors, drugs, diagnostics, hospitals, and other medical institutions act as … ‘sickening agents.’”
Already by 1999, the Institute of Medicine had flagged medical error as being in “the top ranks of urgent, widespread public problems.”
Then in 2000, Johns Hopkins public health expert Dr. Barbara Starfield got more specific, fingering iatrogenesis as America’s third leading cause of death.
The United States leads the world in per capita pharmaceutical spending, which may explain why the worldwide ranking of iatrogenesis as a cause of death, while still alarming, is slightly lower — fifth, rather than third.
In her landmark paper in the Journal of the American Medical Association, Starfield estimated around 225,000 American deaths annually — or possibly as many as 284,000 — from causes such as unnecessary surgery, contraindicated care, medication errors and drug adverse effects.
Writer Jon Rappoport — who interviewed Starfield in 2009, and regularly reminds readers about her “stunning” findings on medically caused death in America — observed in 2015, that while there was “every reason for [Starfield’s paper] to cause a firestorm in the press, and in the halls of government … that’s not what happened.”
Instead, “intentional amnesia set in” — until 2016.
That year, two more Johns-Hopkins-based authors, Dr. Martin Makary and Michael Daniel, briefly revived the topic in The BMJ (formerly the British Medical Journal), again citing “lethal events” resulting from medical error as “the third biggest cause of death in the US,” and appraising their figure of roughly 251,000 annual deaths — nearly 1 in 10 overall deaths — as a conservative underestimate.”
A less noticed 2013 article in the Journal of Patient Safety judged the practice of medicine to be causing on the order of 440,000 American deaths each year, with those authors calling for an end to the “Wall of Silence” surrounding such unfortunate occurrences.
Makary, who is not shy about pronouncing 20% of all medical procedures unnecessary, told The Washington Post in 2016, “It boils down to people dying from the care that they receive rather than the disease for which they are seeking care.”

Entire Article from Emerald Robinson: “In case you missed it, the pro-vaccine frauds at Fox News are trying to pivot away from pushing the experimental Big Pharma shots day and night for two years — it’s almost like the Pfizer and Moderna advertising dollars have suddenly dried up!
[I have no idea what the button is that the arrow is pointing to]
Watch Sean Hannity attempt to walk back his years-long role as America’s dumbest Pfizer salesman. Perhaps he can hear the lawsuits coming.
Hannity didn’t tell anyone to get vaccinated? Hannity told everyone to get vaccinated — and he told them practically every night for a year. “And it absolutely makes sense for many Americans to get vaccinated. I believe in science, I believe in the science of vaccination.” — Sean Hannity, July 2021
I mean: who are we kidding?
Why is Hannity trying to gaslight his own audience in 2022? He must know that bamboozling them about the shots will carry an enormous price tag — and it’s a bill that he’s not willing to pay.
Let’s not forget: Hannity and the rest of the Big Pharma pimps at Fox News also relied on the very fat and very stupid Dr. Marc Siegel as their “medical expert” to push the shots in every time slot for the last two years.
The pathetic Neil Cavuto was also dispensing bad medical advice on a daily basis on Fox News — even becoming semi-hysterical about therapeutics like hydroxychloroquine while always thanking the Big Pharma shots for their miraculous power.
Who can forget the fully vaccinated Cavuto announcing that he caught COVID, and still thanking the vaccines for working? The brainwashed anchor went on to say: “Life is too short to be an ass. Life is way too short to be ignorant of the promise of something that is helping people worldwide. Stop the deaths, stop the suffering, please get vaccinated, please.” Cavuto’s extraordinary rant is, of course, a prime example of magical thinking.
As I discussed back in March, most corporate news outlets in America were paid by the Biden regime’s HHS to push the vaccines to their audiences without disclosing it — and that list includes Fox News.
That’s the largest and most comprehensive breach of journalistic ethics that has ever occurred. Almost every corporate media outlet took the money. Almost every corporate media outlet lied about the vaccines (knowingly or unknowingly). Almost every corporate media outlet refused to report anything negative about the vaccines — because they were paid to close their eyes.
Almost every corporate media outlet is implicated. The real pivot away from the Big Pharma shots at Fox News probably started on August 16th, 2022 when Fox News anchor Brian Kilmeade interviewed prominent Substack author (and former Democrat Party donor) Steve Kirsch about the vaccines.
Now ask yourself: how is it possible that Fox News is just now reporting on vaccine injuries in August of 2022?
Here’s Steve Kirsch also explaining to you why Fox News can’t verify his vaccine injury numbers: “Fox was not interested in verifying it. They said they ‘can’t.’ They aren’t kidding. It’s probably due to their advertising contracts with the drug companies. It’s a conflict of interest they’ve never disclosed to their viewers.”
Just check out his Substack article on Fox News.

What happens when the American public discovers that their favorite corporate media outlets sold deadly drugs to them because the Biden regime incentivized them to do so — and they didn’t disclose it? We shall soon know.”

Has anyone noticed how the legacy media has shifted from classified documents in the Mar-a-Lago Raid to what Joe Biden plans to do with student loan debt?
That’s because the narrative on the Mar-a-Lago Raid is no longer in the Department of Justice’s favor. My colleague Nick Arama wrote on Saturday:
As we previously reported, intel officials were leaking to Newsweek that the FBI was looking for documents including those related to the Russia collusion hoax. After journalist Paul Sperry tweeted about that about a week ago, he got booted from Twitter. But he then dropped a bombshell post on Gettr about the same counterintelligence unit that had been involved in the Russia collusion investigation (Crossfire Hurricane) against Trump now being involved in the raid, and that some of the agents involved were under criminal investigation by Special Counsel John Durham.
Sperry has now expanded on that Gettr post about it being the same unit that was involved in Crossfire Hurricane and the FBI raid.
On Monday, former President Donald Trump filed a motion for a “Special Master” to oversee the review of the documents seized from the raid.
The American people’s outrage over the raid is still off the chain, as revealed in a Rasmussen poll showing 53 percent of Americans think that the FBI is, “Joe Biden’s personal Gestapo.”
Thursday is supposed to be the deadline for the DOJ to reveal the redactions on the affidavit authorizing the search warrant, and even more scrutiny is being placed on Judge Bruce Reinhart, the federal magistrate who the DOJ tapped to issue the warrant.
On Wednesday, Tea Party Patriots Action (TPPA) threw down the gauntlet, filing a complaint against Judge Reinhart with the Judicial Council of the Eleventh Circuit.

[TPPA] announced today that it filed a complaint for “unethical and prejudicial conduct” against Judge Bruce E. Reinhart, the judge who approved the warrant to search President Trump’s residence. The complaint accuses Judge Reinhart of having a “conflict of interest and a pattern and history of hostility to President Trump.”
My colleague Bonchie uncovered some of Judge Reinhart’s extremely questionable background:
Astonishingly, he quit his job as a prosecutor to go work for infamous sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein’s associates, and he helped secure immunity deals for many of the low-life enablers who surrounded Epstein.
How do all these government officials continue to end up in Jeffrey Epstein’s orbit? I could speculate, but I’ll leave that question open-ended. Still, it seems like an awful conflict of interest for a former U.S. Attorney to immediately go defend people who are being targeted by the government. What did he know from his time with the DOJ that helped him secure those sweetheart deals? Lastly, it appears that Reinhart is no fan of Donald Trump.
The TPPA complaint lists seven “undisputed facts” with receipts supporting their accusations:
1. That Judge Reinhart has publicly denigrated President Donald Trump.
The featured image above is one example of the judge’s bias and disdain toward Trump. He doesn’t even pretend to hide it.
2. That Judge Reinhart recused himself from a lawsuit between Trump and Hillary Clinton, citing a “conflict of interest.”
3. That Judge Reinhart has a history of ethical issues, namely his association with the late Jeffrey Epstein.
This alone is mind-boggling, and this connection has been mostly ignored by the legacy media.
Par for the course.
4. That Judge Reinhart maintains deep ties to the Democrat Party, and his financial contributions to former President Barack Obama and Jeb Bush.
5. That Judge Reinhart’s partisan leanings and lack of objectivity toward former President Trump should have been cause enough for him to recuse himself when approached by the DOJ to issue the search warrant for Mar-a-Lago. In this case, Reinhart failed to do so.
6. That Judge Reinhart does not meet the standards of ethical conduct and character necessary for the nonpartisan role of a judge.
When Reinhart was appointed as a federal magistrate judge, the biography in the press release issued by the United States District Court of Florida said:
In addition to his private practice, Mr. Reinhart previously served on the Court’s CJA Panel representing indigent criminal defendants, served as an Ethics Commissioner on the Palm Beach County Commission on Ethics, and provided pro bono representation through the Clemency Project 2014, which was a program jointly established by numerous bar associations to assist federal prisoners with clemency applications.
Emphasis mine.
Let that sink in for a spell.
7. That Judge Reinhart’s actions and authorization in the search warrant threatens the principle of “equal justice under law” and the confidence of the American people in an unbiased judiciary.
Honorary TPPA Chairman Jenny Beth Martin further clarified her actions in this statement,
“Judge Reinhart acted unethically in approving the warrant to search President Trump’s residence.
“He should be disciplined and removed as a federal magistrate. The entire episode involving the search of former President Trump’s home threatens the principle of ‘equal justice under law’ and the confidence of the American people in an unbiased judiciary.”
I doubt that Judge Reinhart will be removed from the bench. But TPPA’s action is serving to cast additional sunlight and transparency on the tactics used by the DOJ to justify this.
