Born in 1799, Mary Anning — the dirt-poor woman said to have inspired the tongue-twister “She sells seashells by the seashore” — would spend her entire life uncovering and piecing together the fossils of one never-before-seen monster after another: organisms that had been hidden away for nearly 200 million years in the cliffs up and down England’s southern coastline.
In short, she provided raw material to the scientists — all male — that would be instrumental in forming their evolutionary theories. Stephen Jay Gould later remarked that Anning is “probably the most important unsung (or inadequately sung) collecting force in the history of paleontology” yet Anning’s place in history happened quite by accident.
By birth, Anning never should have become an influential fossil hunter and geologist. She was marginalized not only by her family’s poverty but also by her sex, her regional dialect, and her nearly complete lack of schooling. But she enjoyed one natural advantage: the very good fortune of having been born in exactly the right place at the right time, alongside some of the most geologically unstable coastline in the world; it was — and still is — a place permeated with fossils.
After her father died in 1810, young Mary’s family was in dire financial straits. In order to put food on her table, she was forced to run the shore’s gauntlet of high tides and landslides to hunt for curiosities that she could sell to seafaring tourists. If she hadn’t, her family very well could have starved.
Her first discovery, made in 1811 when she was only 12 years old, was of the fossil of an ichthyosaur, a marine reptile about four feet in length with flippers like a dolphin and a chest like a lizard. At first people thought it must be a crocodile. In time, though, the specimen attracted massive crowds to museums in London, where many soon realized the skeleton was of a creature never before seen.
The strange fossils found along England’s southern shoreline had baffled the locals for as long as anyone could remember. They came in all forms and sizes — including what later were determined to be bivalves, ammonites, belemnites, and brachiopods — and sometimes even the fragments of giant critters never heard of before.
Her discovery of a nearly intact long-necked plesiosaur (Plesiosaurus dolichodeirus) in 1823 was so incredible that even the celebrated French anatomist Georges Cuvier did not believe it could be valid. It was only after British geologist William Conybeare defended Anning’s find — and verified that the neck did indeed boast at least 35 vertebrae — did Cuvier admit he was wrong. Eventually he pronounced Anning’s fossil a major discovery.
As Anning aged, and began working alongside Britain’s clique of male geologists — most of them Anglican clergymen — there were countless attempts to use biblical stories to explain the new knowledge about the natural world that resulted from her fossil discoveries. For example, Anning’s friend and associate William Buckland — the well-known English geologist and first professor of geology at Oxford — believed that the fossils found at high altitudes proved that a great flood had once covered the planet, just like the Flood described in the Bible.
Anning’s views on the flood and the disparate theories of the male scientists of her era are not known. But in 1833, she was visited by a tourist, the Reverend Henry Rawlins, and his six–year-old son, Frank. Rawlins believed that God created the world within a week, but Anning described to young Frank how the fossils purchased by his father had been found by her at all different levels in the cliffs, explaining that this meant the creatures possibly had been created and had lived at different times. According to Frank’s journals, his father refused to discuss the issue after they left Anning’s home.
One can only imagine how frightening it must have been for Anning to find the fragments of these exotic creatures — with their bat-like wings, snake-like necks, and big, bulging eye sockets — and wonder if perhaps the live versions were not about to fly out of the sky or come up out of the sea to terrorize her.
Anning tried to reconcile what she was unearthing with her belief in God’s omnipotence, a belief she apparently held until her death from breast cancer at the age of 47. Some of her letters to friends suggest that she grew to accept that there had been a progression of living things. A few years before she died, she remarked that — from what she had seen of the fossil world — there is a “connection of analogy between the Creatures of the former and present World.” From most accounts, it seems she continued to believe in God throughout her life, but that she also came to accept that evolution was part of God’s plan. Toward the end of her life, she copied into her journals many poems and passages laced with religious overtones.
At the Natural History Museum in London, as well as a small museum in Lyme Regis, Anning is recognized as having laid the groundwork for the theory of evolution, not to mention nearly two centuries of discoveries in the still evolving worlds of paleontology and geology. Today thousands of people continue to go hunting for fossils along England’s so-called Jurassic coast — a 95-mile stretch of shoreline declared a Unesco World Heritage Site in 2001. And, to this day, real and startling discoveries are still being made, such as the skeleton of a 195-million–year-old Scelidosaurus, the earliest of the armored dinosaurs, in Anning’s hometown of Lyme Regis a few years ago.
With over 700 species of dinosaurs already identified and named, reminders of the prehistoric past just keep on surfacing, thrilling paleontologists. But there are plenty of people who are still unsettled by the signs of the completely different world that must have existed on earth before humans arrived — even if they also are able to marvel at the possibilities. It is most likely a feeling that — nearly two centuries ago — Anning would have shared.

Entire Article @ EmeraldRobinson:
“CBS Evening News anchor Norah O’Donnell was just the latest journalist to make a fool of herself by repeating the exact words that an unnamed DOJ official told her without verifying the information independently. This time, the factual matter under dispute was the exact whereabouts of President Trump’s three passports after the FBI raided his Florida mansion.
The Deep State wanted ordinary Americans to know yesterday — off the record of course! — that the FBI didn’t take Donald Trump’s passports. How dare the 45th President of the United States suggest such a thing! To have the audacity to accuse our finest law enforcement officers of stealing his stuff, Norah wanted you to know, was just another low in the career of Orange Man Bad.
Except, of course, Trump was right. The FBI had stolen his passports during the raid on Mar-a-Lago. Trump’s attorneys even released an email from the FBI telling them when his passports could be picked up! To make matters worse: the passports were missing on the FBI’s property receipt of items seized (whoops), and the warrant didn’t allow the FBI to take them anyway (whoops again), and the federal government had failed to get a special court order to seize his passports too (triple whoops).
When President Trump said that the FBI stole his passports, he was being technically (and ethically and legally) correct.
It turns out that the DOJ official that CBS News had trusted to tell the truth was not — like countless other DOJ officials and FBI officials and CIA officials and other assorted other national security state bureaucrats during the Trump years — telling the truth. Like so many other media personalities in the last few years, O’Donnell had humiliated herself by doing exactly what federal law enforcement officials in the Banana Republic of Biden wanted her to do: spread misinformation.
Norah O’Donnell’s Twitter account was not suspended, of course, for spreading misinformation. Far from it! Her career as a pseudo-journalist will continue on at CBS News because she has willingly played her part in the greater cause of “getting Trump” before the 2024 election. In fact, the chances that Norah O’Donnell will win some bogus news journalism award (named after an octogenarian Democrat donor no doubt) have actually increased — which tells you everything you need to know about corporate journalism in America today.
Those who parrot the falsehoods of government officials in Biden’s Banana Republic are rewarded handsomely. There are laurels for every liar.
Meanwhile, a much more important journalist named Paul Sperry — who works as an investigative reporter for Real Clear Politics — suffered a very different fate. He found himself permanently suspended on Twitter for sharing information from anonymous sources just like Norah O’Donnell. Notice the difference.
Paul Sperry has spent his time following the Durham investigation — which is too close for comfort for the corrupt figures in charge of the Biden regime. The FBI is probably not a fan of his reporting either — so he’s been banned.
In case you’re wondering whether you still live in America, just consider this: the corporate news had no problem with picking disgraced FBI counterintelligence official Peter Strozk to defend the integrity of the FBI. Now remember: the folks over at MSNBC could have picked anyone to publicly defend the FBI’s credibility. They chose Peter Strozk.
That’s like picking Ike Turner as your marriage counselor, or Hunter Biden as your spiritual advisor, or Bill Clinton as a babysitter for teenage girls. It’s a failure of judgment that’s so spectacular and obvious that it must be deliberate.
In other words, MSNBC is telling you that the Democrat wing of the national security state is in charge of our democracy — our elections, our institutions, our corporate media, and our secret police. Meanwhile, the GOP establishment has resisted this tyranny by — let me check my notes here —helping Democrats pass trillion dollar budget bills and restricting gun ownership.
That’s why I’m skeptical about the prospects for a free and fair election in the 2022 midterms — or in 2024. You think these people are going to give up power willingly — so that Republicans can conduct oversight investigations in Congress? I doubt it.
You think that they’re not going to arrest President Trump and convict him in a DC kangaroo court to ten years in prison — while they run a chump ticket like Pence/Haley in his place? You might be underestimating the Biden regime.
Just last month, they wanted you to believe that the 76 year-old Donald Trump lunged for the steering wheel of his armored limo, and nearly strangled a Secret Service agent, in order to drive himself to the Capitol on January 6th — an absurd fairy tale that was pushed for weeks until the Secret Service was forced to dismiss the story out of hand. Here’s the kicker: Democrats repeated this story with a straight face while Merrick Garland and his DOJ prepared a search warrant for Trump’s mansion by having Jeffrey Epstein’s former defense attorney sign off on it.
Something tells me the Biden regime doesn’t really care about optics anymore. Maybe the Biden regime is flipping the bird at our laws because they don’t really care to appear legitimate anymore. You know they cheated. They know they cheated. They know that you know they cheated. (After all, they can read polls like everybody else.) So why play pretend anymore? Consider the possibility that Democrats are seizing power permanently.
Consider the possibility that they’ll rig any election at any time to achieve their aims.
It’s no big deal, for instance, to throw out 200,000 signatures out of 715,000 collected for a recall of District Attorney George Gascon in Los Angeles. That’s a huge story in any year before this year but it’s a footnote in the Banana Republic of Biden. Democrats did that yesterday — and you probably didn’t even hear about it.
They’ve already crossed the line —as the raid on Trump’s mansion made clear to most Americans — so why stop now? They have the secret police and the corporate media and the federal government and the universities and Hollywood and Silicon Valley and Big Pharma and Wall Street on their side.
Who’s going to stop them? Perhaps we have no idea just how far the Biden regime is willing to go to maintain power. That’s why you’re suffering from vertigo watching the news. That’s why it all seems to be happening at once.
Consider the possibility that America’s constitutional republic is being canceled — right before your eyes.”

ultra maggot’s admin is corrupted all the way thru–climate advisor gets a slap down by National Academy of SCIENCES
FTA
A senior White House climate advisor has been sanctioned by the National Academy of Sciences for violating its ethics policies.
Axios reports that Jane Lubchenco, the deputy director for climate and environment at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, has been pulled up by the NAS for editing a paper later found to contain technical errors, as well as having worked with the scientists involved in it, one of which turned out to be her brother-in law.
Now, how many studies and projects cited her work, justifying more grants, and drove policies???
— Mike (@mcposwusnr) August 16, 2022
Lubchenco was found to have violated NAS Code of Conduct Section 3, which states that “NAS members shall avoid those detrimental research practices that are clear violations of the fundamental tenets of research.”

2 possible amendments which REALPOTUS can use to have the information seized be thrown out by a judge.
FTA
The Fourth Amendment also decrees that “no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”
To date, no mention of what was seized — beyond “a dozen boxes” of…something. Further, the warrant was not presented to Trump’s attorney on site. She was allowed to review it briefly, but not to keep a copy. Nor was that attorney permitted to observe the FBI during the search. Those are two serious violations of procedure. Instead of describing the place to be searched, an FBI agent said the search warrant gave them “full access to everything.”
This is a clear violation of the Fourth Amendment, allowing them — they said — to “scour Melania Trump’s wardrobe” in the Trumps’ master bedroom.
Anti-Trumpers are gloating. Even if no evidence of a Trump documentary cover-up proves true, the FBI can use anything they find as evidence in unrelated actions against Trump. However, if the warrant is ruled unjustified by the Supreme Court, anything the FBI seized would be considered “fruit of a poisoned tree.” It could then not be used as evidence in any criminal case.
To date, nobody other than the FBI and the A.G. know what’s been seized. FBI agents ransacked Trump’s home office for almost ten hours, during which FBI agents spent significant time ransacking Melania Trump’s wardrobe. Just prurient interest? Does the FBI believe that Trump hid classified documents in her lingerie, or perhaps sewed them into designer gowns? Did this all-encompassing warrant really give them the right to plunder her clothing?
What triggered all this? In press coverage on January 20, Trump was seen taking one box of…something…out of the White House, making way for Biden. To date, Trump’s already voluntarily turned over 15 document boxes to the National Archives. Then the FBI seized another dozen. This rivals the “miracle of the loaves and fishes,” or maybe it’s just “New Math,” Washington style.
The president is also protected by the Fifth Amendment. The Fifth Amendment says: “No person … shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself[.]” There’s another Fifth Amendment clause directly applicable to this FBI search: “nor shall any person be subject for the same offence be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb[.]”
This latter clause protects us from double jeopardy. Constitutionally, you can’t be tried twice for the same crime. Once found not guilty, the government cannot come back and nail you a second time.
Why is this clause in the Fifth Amendment applicable to President Trump? Simple. As the left-wing news media are reporting, this search is not really about National Archives rules. That’s a fig-leaf excuse permitting the FBI to claim a bogus national security excuse for the search and seizure of we know not what.
These obscure regulations have never been treated as criminal violations. Instead, as the mainstream media claim, this seizure will find proof of Trump’s complicity in the January 6, 2021 “insurrection.”
Recall that President Trump was impeached for his supposed role in the that odd event at the Capitol Building. That impeachment farce was held between January 6 and 20, even though, at noon on the 20th, Trump officially and constitutionally stepped aside as president.
Despite the fact that an impeachment is a trial taking place in Congress instead of the courts, nothing in the Constitution says a failed impeachment does not provide double jeopardy protection. If this is the real reason for the warrant and search, if what’s been seized will be used to prosecute President Trump once again, the courts will have to throw it out.
There is no vagueness in the Fifth Amendment. In fact, neither the Fourth nor the Fifth Amendment is vague about the rights of any American to be protected from unjustified searches and seizures, leading to criminal prosecution.
While the nation reels from this outrage, and while Melania Trump arranges for her clothes to be fumigated for “bugs,” Trump’s legal team is determining how those sacred rights enshrined in our Constitution will be used to protect President Trump.

VERY long article by Dr. Malone on Substack!
EXCERPTS: “Heretic filmmaker Mikki Willis has compiled a thirteen-minute video which bluntly and explicitly documents the deeply disturbing modern parable of collusion between US Health and Human Service elites, corporate media, the medical-pharmaceutical industrial complex, and big tech to block the use of Ivermectin in the US and developed western nations for treating COVID-19 disease. Although currently embargoed for general distribution, since various clips featuring my own comments over time are included in the montage, I received a copy early this morning together with a request that I not circulate but quickly review for technical accuracy.
———————
I have lived through Ivermectin propaganda and active blocking of COVID early treatment options over the past two years, have traveled and testified with Drs. Peter (McCullough), Paul (Marik) and Pierre (Kory) in so many meetings, saw first-hand and personally experienced the suppression of Ivermectin manuscripts, data and meta-analyses which have been so thoroughly documented by Pierre and Dr. Tess Laurie. I lived through the (successful) efforts of FDA/CDER to block the ability of the DTRA/Department of Defense team which I worked closely with to advance comparative testing of famotidine versus famotidine + celecoxib versus famotidine + celecoxib + ivermectin treatment from including any treatment arm that involved ivermectin in the inpatient and outpatient randomized clinical trials for which we sought FDA allowance to proceed. My chronic long COVID (exacerbated by two doses of the Moderna mRNA COVID product) was successfully treated with Ivermectin by Dr. Meryl Nass, who subsequently lost her license to practice medicine for the sin of effectively treating COVID outpatients with Ivermectin. I know Ivermectin works for treating this disease, and if (in an alternative reality) it could have been deployed in the USA and western nations, I am completely convinced that the needless wasting of hundreds of thousands of lives could have been avoided. Parents, co-workers, relatives (brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts, cousins), and even some children, all gone forever under horrible and abrupt circumstances. I know on both a personal and an intellectual/professional level that the burden of avoidable carnage and ongoing disability is profound.
But something about seeing the shocking history of this sordid tale of Administrative State-mediated murder of hundreds of thousands of US Citizens all rolled up into a thirteen-minute video montage hit me like yet another “brick to the head”, with about the same velocity and impact as reading/editing Bobby’s amazing book. If I have learned anything from my intellectual awakening since that fateful call from Dr. Michael Callahan on January 04, 2020, it has been the power of video and alternative media. Granting that the (substack) pen is mightier than the sword, and an (internet meme) picture is worth a thousand words, a well edited video montage is worth ten thousand and can cleave straight through cranium like a Samurai. If the infamous three-hour long Rogan/Malone podcast is a slow truth dagger that can penetrate the guarded mind, Mikki and his team fire depleted uranium slugs wrapped in full metal jackets.
Receipt of which slugs over thirteen minutes via eyes and ears left me a bit stunned, as Jill and I scrambled to pack and make our way through the byzantine tangle of security state screening required for international travel. Suffice to say, I may have thought international travel through Portuguese and Italian airports was inefficient, but Ireland in close cooperation with the US Border Protection Service has developed international airport screening inefficiency to a level to which Portugal and Italy can only aspire.
Somewhat traumatized by the experience, I boarded in a state of moderately advanced anxiety, and proceeded to work my way through four of the most insightful essays concerning the COVIDcrisis that I have read to date. Composed over the last two years and published online at “UnHerd”, these monographs provide deep philosophical, psychological and political insights as well as indictments of the expanding failure of modern liberalism, the corruption at the core of the administrative state, the impact of big tech, the chronically corrosive role of race politics, and the devolution of science into Scientism. Each is deserving of careful reading and consideration. Read together, they complement and extend the insights of Mattias Desmet’s “Psychological Basis of Totalitarianism”, Peter and Ginger Breggin’s “COVID-19 and the Global Predators: We are the Prey”, Irving Janus’ “Victims of Groupthink”, and Klaus Schwab and Thierry Malleret’s “COVID-19: The Great Reset” to yield an increasingly granular picture of the complex emergent phenomena which I refer to as the COVIDcrisis, which has resulted in millions of avoidable deaths, damage to children which may require generations to recover from, and currently ongoing cascading failure of western governments and economies.”
Much, much more – worth the read, IMO.

I want to encourage you to find video of Tucker Carlson’s show last night. You can find it on Fox’s site or probably it’s up on YouTube.
First, Tucker tells the story of the set-up, the framing of people for the fake “attempted kidnapping” of Governor Whitmer.
Next, he interviews Darren Beattie, editor of Revolver News, the guy most responsible for reporting on the obfuscation the government has been attempting surrounding the events of the “insurrection.”
Beattie narrates the video the FBI has released of the supposed pipe bomber, video which is important not just for what it shows but also for what it DOES NOT show, as there is suspiciously MISSING footage from a camera that would have shown the precise time/place the bomber placed down the bomb.
The implication, of course, is that the government doesn’t want to show us those missing split seconds because such video would prove the FBI was once again trying to create a scenario that set up MAGA-supporting citizens.
While Beattie’s work has been extensive, Tucker’s show is the only one I know that has given major minutes to a huge audience regarding this story.
Great work from Tucker–the Whitmer story is hard to tell because of all the names involved, but he did it well, and the covering of the two stories together left a huge impression on those who saw it: two huge attempts by the FBI to frame Americans and create scenarios of “domestic terror,” and imply, of course, that both are the result of MAGA.

Entire Article @ DC:
“Newsmax’s Eric Bolling trolled Fox News’ Laura Ingraham Tuesday night over her recent comments suggesting the country might be ready to move past former President Donald Trump.
Ingraham said on “The Truth with Lisa Booth” that although she and the former president have been friends for decades, it’s unclear whether the country wants another four years of him amid speculation about a potential run. “The country I think is so exhausted, they’re exhausted by the battle, the constant battle, that they may believe that, well, maybe it’s time to turn the page if we can get someone who has all Trump’s policies, who’s not Trump,” she said.
Bolling, who formerly worked at Fox News, said Ingraham has “thrown in the proverbial Trump towel.” “Maybe [some conservatives] gave up on the man. Much like the organization, she works for, Fox News’ Laura Ingraham seems to have thrown in the proverbial Trump towel.” Bolling then played Ingraham’s comments, saying he and Laura are friends, and that she is a “solid Trump supporter.”

Chatter about Trump’s potential run has only increased since the unprecedented FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago. Republican Indiana Rep. Jim Banks said Tuesday on Fox News that Trump has “made up his mind” about running in 2024 after the pair spoke at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey. Banks said Trump will inform the public in “a matter of time.”
Podcast host Joe Rogan suggested the FBI raid was done in a bit to knock Trump out of the 2024 race.”

Entire DC Article: “A plane carrying French tourists crashed into Lake Powell in Utah, killing two people and injuring more, authorities say.
The National Park Service (NPS) dispatch began receiving calls from witnesses that a plane had crashed into Lake Powell near Face Canyon around 5:20 p.m., the Kane County Sheriff’s Office announced in a press release on their Facebook page. A pilot and six French tourists were traveling over the lake in a tour plane from Page, Arizona, when the pilot reported an issue with the plane’s engine.
The pilot survived and worked with witnesses to evacuate four of the six French passengers onto boats to be taken for medical care, officials said in the press release. Three of the tourists sustained serious injuries and were transferred by helicopter to St. George Regional Hospital, according to the Kane County Sheriff’s Office.
Two of the passengers died and were not immediately removed from the submerged plane, officials said. NPS found the plane under 120 feet of water and coordinated with other agencies, including the Utah Division of Outdoor Recreation, to assist the Utah Department of Public Safety (DPS) divers in recovering the two deceased passengers, according to the press release.
The Kane County Sheriff’s Office said it is responsible for handling the death investigation. The investigation into the cause of the plane crash will be conducted by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board, according to the Kane County Sheriff’s Office.
“This case is still under investigation and it will be some time before the case is resolved,” said the Sheriff’s office. “Incidents like this are very difficult because of the circumstances and terrain. Many thanks to the witnesses who responded quickly to help the survivors and provide information to help locate the submerged plane,” the press release noted. The Kane County Sheriff’s Office also extended their condolences to the families of those who died in the crash.”

Nancy Bass Wyden, the multimillionaire owner of New York’s Strand bookstore, received $2.7 million in Paycheck Protection Program loans between 2020 and 2021 and nonetheless went on to lay off 180 employees. Small businesses were eligible for the federally forgiven loans on the condition that they used a majority of the funds to keep employees on the payroll. In October 2020, Bass Wyden told CBS News that the Strand would not rehire many of those employees and that the store would “have to give back part of the loan due to the forgiveness rules.”
But as of September of last year, the federal government had forgiven both loans, ProPublica reported. The Small Business Administration declined to comment and the Strand did not respond to the Washington Free Beacon’s requests for comments on the loans.
The Paycheck Protection Program came under fire in 2020 for shelling out millions to billionaire real estate investors. Other family members of Democrats also got in line for handouts, including the multimillionaire father of then-Senate candidate Jon Ossoff (D.) who scored as much as $1 million from the program. Businesses like the Strand were able to line their pockets and lay off dozens of workers without rehiring them as long as 60 percent of the money went to payroll expenses.
Wyden and a group of senators pushed then-Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin and Small Business Administrator Jovita Carranza in April 2020 “to develop strong supervisory mechanisms to identify instances of unjust enrichment” for the program. “Every loan that provides a windfall for an applicant who does not truly need it results in one fewer loan made to a struggling small business owner whose employees could be truly helped by this funding,” the senators wrote in a letter.
Wyden’s wife refused to rehire many of the employees she fired even after the Strand received its PPP loans, leaving the bookstore “woefully understaffed,” according to the union that represents the workers. She pleaded with the public to purchase more books in late 2020, saying the store’s revenue had plummeted 70 percent and that loans and cash reserves were “depleted.” The Strand said it was “impossible” to rehire all staff even with the paycheck loan boost.
“The limited sales we make now plus the PPP loan are the only things keeping our staff paid,” a Strand spokesman told Vulture in March 2021. “So until in-store sales bounce back, this is the best we can do.”
Bass Wyden earned as much as $3 million in book sales during the layoffs, according to her husband’s annual financial disclosures. The Oregonian reported in 2011 the couple’s net worth is between $12 million and $56 million. The couple purchased millions of dollars’ worth of stock in 2020 that appreciated substantially following lockdowns, including as much as $600,000 in shares of Amazon, a prime competitor with independent bookstores.
An inspector general’s report in May found many Americans took advantage of the PPP loans as the Small Business Administration had no plan to counter fraud. One former U.S. attorney dubbed the program “the biggest fraud in a generation.”
Bass Wyden inherited the Strand from her father Ben Bass. Her children are next in line to take control of the 90-year-old bookstore next, according to the Strand’s website.

Entire Article @ FB: “Elite Afghan soldiers trained by the United States fled to Iran with weapons and specialized combat training following the Biden administration’s bungled withdrawal from the country that let the Taliban regain power, according to a report by Republicans on the House Foreign Affairs Committee based on interviews with whistleblowers and internal State Department documents.
“A ‘significant’ number of Afghan special forces and about 3,000 Afghan security forces, including high ranking officers, crossed the border into Iran,” according to the report, which was released on Monday to coincide with the one-year anniversary of the deadly U.S. military withdrawal from Afghanistan. “Some brought military equipment and vehicles with them. We believe this happened because they were not evacuated by the U.S. or our allies, and therefore had no other option.”
These forces were trained in combat by U.S. special operators, in some cases within the United States, and “could be a serious national security threat to the United States if they are captured or turn,” according to the report. They “know not only our tactics but who these elite [U.S.] military officials are.”
The findings detail months of chaos following the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan and indicate that the tumult in the country has provided an opportunity for regional enemies like Iran to regain a foothold in the war-torn country. Details of Iran’s ties to these U.S. trained fighters comes as new threats from Iran are making headlines across America, with the arrest of an Iranian national who’d put a bounty on former White House national security adviser John Bolton’s head, as well as the attempted murder last week of the novelist Salman Rushdie, who has long faced threats from Iran’s clerical regime.
“The recruitment of former Afghan military and intelligence personnel poses a major national security risk due to the fact these Afghan personnel know the U.S. military and intelligence community’s tactics, techniques, and procedures,” the report concludes.
In addition to the weapons and military equipment these special forces brought with them to Iran, they have an intimate knowledge of the U.S. military and its tactics in the region, know-how that is highly sought after by Iran’s terrorist proxy groups and other jihadi militants.
“These commandos are trained, highly trained, on how we do signals intelligence, how we do human intelligence, how we operate,” Rep. Michael Waltz (R., Fla.), a combat veteran, said in the report. “We know that the Taliban are hunting them down. They are seeking to force them through coercion to hand over that information so that they can use it and they can understand how we operate.”
Beyond Iran, Russia and China are also looking to recruit these forces for their inside knowledge about American military tactics.
“It is possible these former Afghan military and other intelligence personnel could be recruited or coerced into working for one of America’s adversaries that maintains a presence in Afghanistan, including Russia, [and] China,” in addition to Iran, according to the report.
The State Department said in October 2021 that it is aware of the threat posed by Afghan soldiers trained by the United States, though it has done little since then to find them and get them to safety.
“Afghans who possess the knowledge specific to security operations, intelligence collection, other aspects of security and defense forces that if it were to fall into terrorists’ hands would pose a national security risk to the United States, those people will have a special category, I think there is just no way around it,” a senior State Department official quoted in the report told Congress.
The Pentagon was to create a list detailing “critical Afghan personnel that would warrant prioritization in being evacuated.” But, as of February 2022, “the Pentagon list had still not been shared with the State Department Task Force, meaning several months of inactivity with regards to evacuation,” the report disclosed.
Afghan military personnel also do not qualify for the U.S. Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) program that has brought in scores of vulnerable Afghans, the report says. The administration is still only evacuating remaining Americans, green card holders, and pre-approved SIV applicants.
It also has not been made clear if Afghan military members would qualify for refugee status, and, if they did, they would be responsible for getting themselves out of the country without American assistance, according to the report.
The number of Americans stranded in Afghanistan after the evacuation also is far higher than the Biden administration admits. While U.S. officials repeatedly said “about 100” Americans were left in the country after the military left, the State Department is known to have evacuated more than 800 American citizens since Aug. 31, 2021—a number that does not include the scores of Americans evacuated by outside groups.

Internal Pfizer documents just released under court order find that 44% of pregnant women who participated in Pfizer’s mRNA Covid “vaccine” trial suffered miscarriages. This is Pfizers own documents. . I guess this is the lefts way of reversing Roe v. Wade. Seems they will do anything in their power to kill babies. . Yet The Biden administration and Fauci still recommend not only pregnant women to take the shot, but for mothers to give it to their toddlers as well.

The Fake News Media is claiming that Liz Cheney has such a “wonderful and bright” political future.
Maybe they didn’t notice that she lost by nearly 40 points? She’s too angry and sick to succeed in the future, but who knows!
