No, not Congress. Although Congress IS filled with snakes, I am referring to Clyde Peeling’s Reptiland in Allenwood, PA. We pass Reptiland every time we visit home and the parking lot is always FULL! I wondered what was the attraction with snakes, but I discovered Reptiland is much, much more than just snakes!
In many zoos around the country, reptiles are relegated to a single building in the back corner. True, many visitors take the time to see the snakes, gators, and lizards housed here, but it’s often an afterthought to the main attractions like the big cats, elephants, and other popular animals. However, at Clyde Peeling’s Reptiland in Allenwood, Pennsylvania, reptiles are the star attraction.

Begun in 1964, Reptiland has grown to over 75 species and 2,000 total animals. In Peelings’ own words, they are “his passion.” Reptiland is one of only 8 zoos in PA that are accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.
There are five main areas to Clyde Peeling’s Reptiland. Walking around the park clockwise, the first area you’ll come to is a small number of outdoor enclosures featuring several varieties of turtles and tortoises. The most popular enclosure houses three Galápagos tortoises. These are some of the largest tortoises in the world and are quite fascinating to see in person.

Next to the Galápagos tortoises is the Program Center. Here, shows are held five times a day and feature a zookeeper taking about the animals at the park, along with a few special friends. It’s a 30 minute show geared more for kids, but very informative–with the added bonus of getting to touch a small crocodile at the end!

The second area of the park surprised me the most– the Butterfly Garden. While it does seem a bit out of place, given the reptile theme, you can walk in this greenhouse and see butterflies all around you. They even hatch their own butterflies in the garden, giving visitors a great chance to see what they look like in different stages of their lives. (The Butterfly Garden is closed during the colder months of the year, so plan your trip accordingly.)

Next, the tour goes into the Reptile and Amphibian Gallery. In many ways, this is a typical reptile house you’d find at any other zoo. A variety of animals are contained within the building, including frogs, snakes, and even small crocodiles.
The snakes were interesting for their variety. In addition to having some of the most well-known snakes like the black mamba or the anaconda, the area also included snakes you might see while hiking in Pennsylvania, such as the timber rattlesnake and the copperhead.

Also inside the Reptile and Amphibian Gallery are the zoo’s alligators. The two alligators are housed in a nice enclosure that features a large viewing area, ensuring you’ll get a great view no matter how crowded Reptiland is. There are programs here that tell you a bit more about the alligators. While there is no set feeding schedule, you might be able to see the alligators fed if you are lucky.
The fourth area of the park, the Island Giants exhibit, is home to the Aldabra tortoises and Komodo dragons. These animals are unique in that they both are very large but confined to a very small natural habitat. The Aldabra tortoises are one of the world’s largest tortoise species and are primarily found on one island in the Indian Ocean. Komodo dragons are relatively uncommon in zoos, and there is only one other zoo in Pennsylvania that has them (the Pittsburgh Zoo).

The last section of Reptiland is the most curious. Here, animatronic dinosaurs move and roar as you walk along the paths of the Dinosaurs Come to Life exhibit. The goal here is to teach people about the reptiles that used to walk the earth, and it is well done with realistic dinosaurs but again, this display is only open during the warmer months, so plan accordingly.

Must See: ‘Under the Skin’ — How Aluminum Compounds in HPV Vaccines Cause Injuries
“Under the Skin,” a new documentary by science journalist Bert Ehgartner, explores research into the aluminum compounds used in vaccines, including a new “extra-strong” aluminum compound used in Merck’s Gardasil vaccine for human papillomavirus.
A new documentary reveals how Merck’s Gardasil, marketed as a vaccine to prevent cervical cancer, became a global blockbuster through an aggressive marketing campaign, despite rare — but serious — side effects that left girls injured and struggling for answers.
“Under the Skin,” by science journalist Bert Ehgartner, explores research into the aluminum compounds — added “experimentally” to vaccines almost 100 years ago — and a new “extra-strong” aluminum compound, amorphous aluminum hydroxyphosphate sulfate (AAHS), used in the Gardasil vaccine for human papillomavirus (HPV).

EXCERPT: “Many people know about the routine use of antibiotics in livestock production — and object to it. The drugs are profitable to industrial meat producers because they cause animals to gain more weight with less feed and prevent the outbreak of disease in often cramped concentrated animal feeding operation conditions.
In 2017, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) began regulatory measures to prevent the use of livestock antibiotics for growth purposes and recently finalized the guidance. Injudicious antibiotic use drives the development of antibiotic-resistant bacteria.
As the extent of antibiotic residues and antibiotic-resistant bacteria in meat has been revealed, there has been a public backlash against the drugs’ use, resulting in some meat producers labeling their products “raised without antibiotics.” Unfortunately, consumers are unaware that other drugs are now being used in meat production and left off the labels. Worse, in an effort to reduce the publicly spurned antibiotics, meat producers are turning to vaccines.
“Vaccines and other alternative products can help minimize the need for antibiotics by preventing and controlling infectious diseases in animal populations, and are central to the future success of animal agriculture,” read a 2018 article in Veterinary Research.
How prevalent are livestock vaccines?
Drugmaker Merck markets 58 poultry vaccines for diseases that food consumers neither know about nor probably want to know about like coccidiosis, infectious bronchitis, Newcastle disease, infectious laryngotracheitis, mycoplasma gallisepticum, Marek’s disease (chicken herpes), infectious bursal disease, hemorrhagic enteritis, rhinotracheitis (turkey coryza), avian encephalomyelitis, fowl pox and more. In addition to vaccines for cattle, swine and fish, food animals are also vaccinated as embryos.
By 2020, the animal vaccine market was estimated to be $7.2 billion.”

short article copied below…bowser request for nat’l guard turned down…snicker, snicker

Washington DC’s mayor requested National Guard help over the influx of 4,000 illegals by the Texas bussing project which is sending willing illegals to Democrat cities.
But now it’s revealed that the Department of Defense has denied Mayor Bowser’s request.
Via MSN:
The Department of Defense denied D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser’s request for the National Guard to assist with the influx of migrants created by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s busing of migrants to the city, according to a letter reviewed by NBC News.
The letter, from the executive secretary of the Department of Defense, said the city has sufficient funding from the Federal Emergency Management Agency that has been given to D.C. nonprofits that can provide the immigrants with shelter and other services.
“After careful consideration the Department has concluded it cannot fulfill your request,” Kelly Bulliner Holly told Christopher Rodriguez, director of D.C.’s Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency.
“I understand a non-Governmental Organization, SAMU First Response, has received federal grant funding via the Emergency Food and Shelter Program by FEMA for this mission. Notably this program supplements funding for humanitarian relief efforts by government and social service organizations for the purposes of providing shelter and supportive services to families and individuals,” the letter said.
So in other words, she’s going to have to deal with this influx of illegals like all the border cities have to deal with it.
Good. That’s exactly what they deserve, especially being a self-declared sanctuary city.

However, law enforcement did not discover that Carter was a Democratic congressional staffer until three weeks after the Secret Service chase. During that time, Carter was a credentialed staffer who had access to the U.S. Capitol building.
When Schneider’s office was made aware that their staffer was accused of being a fake FBI agent, they contacted Carter and gave him the option to resign or be fired, according to an officer’s sworn statement. Carter – who was on the lam from federal authorities at the time – reportedly told the office of the Democratic representative that he would resign, but he would end up keeping his government-issued cellphone.
According to an affidavit, Carter had personally given himself an $80,000 raise – increasing his annual salary from $54,000 to $138,000 as a congressional staffer. Carter – who was Schneider’s operations director that was responsible for managing payroll and bonus payments – reportedly pulled off the scam for over a year.
“According to an FBI affidavit, Carter started filling out payroll authorization forms and faking the signature of Schneider’s chief of staff to get them approved in November 2019, when he was only three months into the job,” the Daily Mail reported.
Following a national manhunt, Carter was arrested in mid-January in his parents’ home state of Georgia.
Carter admitted in court that he openly carried a firearm in the District of Columbia – where it is illegal to do so.
The Daily Beast reported, “Federal prosecutors dropped the law enforcement impersonation charge, and he narrowly avoided prison time (When Carter pleaded guilty at 24, he barely made the age cutoff to take part in a local District of Columbia prison diversion program for young first-time offenders, according to his lawyer).”
In February, Carter pleaded guilty to “theft of public funds in connection with his scheme to fraudulently inflate his salary and bonus payments, thereby paying himself more than he was legitimately owed,” according to the Department of Justice.
Last week, Carter was sentenced to nine months in federal prison for the theft of public funds. Carter’s lawyer said his client would soon turn himself in to authorities to begin his prison sentence.

not enough real racism…so it has to be created.

Federal agents have arrested a black man in Buffalo, New York, for making a false threat against black people to see whether racists on social media would support him.
According to WIVB-TV in Buffalo, Rolik Walker, 24, of Buffalo, was arrested for a tweet he supposedly published on May 16 from an anonymous account. In the tweet, he reportedly threatened that he and his “associates” would be “targeting” Buffalo-area grocery stores and that they were “only looking to kill blacks.”
Walker, who is black, allegedly issued the tweet under the Twitter handle @ConklinHero just two days after white man Payton Gendron, 18, from Conklin, New York, allegedly shot and killed 10 black people and injured three others at a Tops Friendly Markets grocery store in Buffalo. The violent crime has been deemed a “racially motivated hate crime.”
An FBI affidavit claims that Walker “stated that the purpose of the post was to see what everyone would say and if anyone would agree with him.”
Don’t miss out on content from Dave Rubin free of big tech censorship. Listen to The Rubin Report now.
Court filings state that Walker attempted to obscure the origin of the @ConklinHero account by using an app that masks IP addresses.
Prosecutors also claim that Walker told law enforcement that he created a second anonymous Twitter account “in an effort to rectify the earlier post.” In the second post, Walker supposedly replaced “only looking to kill blacks” with “ants, spiders and things of that nature.” Police say they did recover from his cellphone a screenshot of a post from the second account that claims he didn’t mean any harm.
On Thursday, U.S Attorney Trini E. Ross announced that Walker had been arrested and charged with making an interstate threat. The charge carries a sentence of up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
Walker appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge Michael J. Roemer on Thursday and was given a conditional release. He has been assigned an attorney.
