    1. Morning, Pat – I’m not up to taking on this challenge yet….LOL – humid as all get out here, cloudy, 75, with nary a breeze. I’ve already been raising hell this morning! Yesterday in the mail, I got a reply from Ben Sasse about the funding for Ukraine. He mouthed the usual pablum: Putin is doing this because they lost the cold war; Ukraine is a sovereign nation with peace-loving people; Putin stole Crimea; Putin ignores international agreements; Ukraine has lived freely and peacefully on Russia’s border and did not provoke this war; yada, yada, yada…..

In short? PURE BULL SHIT!!!! And I let him know that in no uncertain terms! I started off by saying he must think I am stupid and ignorant. Before I signed off, I wrote “STOP LYING!!!!”

  1. abrams started a non profit to get georgia folks to register–but they pushed dem candidates, and didn’t report properly thier expenses and now there’s trouble…
    FTA
There’s more political trouble brewing in Georgia at an organization founded by sore-loser Stacey Abrams, who is again running as a Democrat to be the Peach State’s governor. According to the state ethics commission, the New Georgia Project that Abrams founded failed to disclose some $7 million worth of spending — $3 million for electioneering expenses and $4 million in political contributions — between 2017 and 2019 while she was on the ballot for governor.

According to Axios’ reporting on the latest potential scandal involving Abrams, the unreported expenditures is “one of the largest cases the commission has taken up.”

The timing for the inquiry could prove rather unfavorable for Abrams who is again facing off against the Republican who beat her in 2018 this November, as Axios further explains:

The complaints first substantive hearing is set to happen in the months leading up to a high-profile November rematch between Abrams and Gov. Brian Kemp, who appoints a majority of the ethics commission members.

The commission has been looking into the alleged millions in undisclosed spending by the Abrams’ founded group since 2019, and — after delays due to litigation — is set to begin hearings on August first.

The probe revolves around the New Georgia Project and The Action Fund, a 501(c)(4), and whether the two operated independently of each other. The Fund is allowed to engage in limited partisan political work, while the Project could lose the tax-exempt status it enjoys as a nonprofit. As Axios explains:

The commission alleges that in 2018 the New Georgia Project and the Action Fund illegally canvassed for Democratic candidates include Abrams, used phone bank scripts pushing people to vote Democratic and included “#teamAbrams” in social media posts soliciting donations. It also targets the group for work on a 2019 Gwinnett County MARTA referendum vote.

  3. So now Amazon wants to get in the big money game – like they don’t make enough already??!!?? Scumbags!!!

EXCERPT: “Amazon is launching itself further into the billion-dollar healthcare industry by collaborating with the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center to develop cancer vaccines in a new clinical trial approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). According to a filing with the National Institutes of Health, Fred Hutch is testing a “personalized” vaccine for patients with late-stage melanoma skin cancer and certain breast cancers that have metastasized or are unresponsive to other treatments.

The Fred Hutchinson Center based in Seattle sponsors and leads the study, while Amazon, a partner of the World Economic Forum, is listed as its sole collaborator. Amazon and Fred Hutch are looking to recruit 20 participants over the age of 18 for the early stage, or phase 1 trial, with the goal of developing “personalized vaccines” that can treat breast cancer and melanoma, CNBC reported.
    ——————–
Fred Hutch previously collaborated with Merck to develop its controversial human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine and COVID-19 drug, molnupiravir (MOV). As The Defender reported in March, Attorneys from Baum Hedlund Aristei & Goldman and Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., chairman of Children’s Health Defense, filed their 14th lawsuit against Merck alleging the drugmaker knowingly concealed adverse events associated with its Gardasil HPV vaccine.

“I question the integrity of a vaccine involving the Fred Hutch group after litigating devastating injuries related to the Gardasil vaccine, which they helped pioneer,” attorney Michael Baum told The Defender in an email.

“Gardasil was rushed through approval without proper safety oversight and shoddy clinical trials, according to the evidence and allegations my firm is litigating against Merck right now.”

That was the last time I ordered from them and I am determined to never do it again. Then someone hacked my card 2 years later! IMO, anyone who buys a lot from Amazon is a hypocrite.

  4. EXCERPT: “The legislation drawing Sanders’ ire is the long-stalled United States Innovation and Competition Act (USICA), a bill purportedly designed to bolster domestic semiconductor manufacturing — an industry that has been lavished with taxpayer subsidies in recent years — and ramp up investment in research and development.

As Politico describes it, the USICA “would shower the semiconductor industry with $52 billion of incentives to ramp up chip-making in America. China hawks like the bill because it makes the U.S. less reliant on Chinese imports,” the outlet adds. “The Biden administration hails it as a policy that will strengthen the supply chain, boost domestic manufacturing, and ‘help us out-compete China.’”

A bipartisan conference committee made up of lawmakers from both the House and the Senate is currently working to reconcile the differences between versions of the legislation passed by each chamber. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), meanwhile, is threatening to tank the bill entirely if Democrats move ahead with a party-line reconciliation package that aims to lower prescription drug prices and boost renewable energy funding.

Punchbowl reported Thursday that top Senate Democrats are mulling whether to just “pass $52 billion in funding for semiconductor manufacturers instead of a broad USICA package.”

Sanders, who voted against the Senate bill’s passage in March, has argued that the USICA should contain safeguards to ensure that taxpayer funding doesn’t go to companies that engage in union-busting, offshore U.S. jobs, or buy back their own stock.” [One of the very rare times that I agree with this old coot!]

  5. Yesterday, I watched a Daddy Oriole feed one of his fledglings jelly – clearly a baby, small, with the pale yellow belly. He fed it 3 or 4 times, then flew off fast…..almost like he was trying to leave it behind. She/he flopped around, trying to figure out how to balance on the side of the feeder, wings flapping – never did manage it and flew into the honeysuckle. I didn’t see where it went after that.

  6. HA! this is from an article on flawed food science…I brought this part because it’s showing what folks really think. beyond meat started at $72 and is now $24. fake meat might have been a curiosity thing–but the falling price shows it’s NOT taking the country by storm.
    FTA
We are further told that consumer interest in alternative protein is increasing in countries with economic wealth. But this is hardly true. Take the case of Beyond Meat, Inc. (NASDAQ: BYND) — a North American plant-based protein company.

Its share price history likely reveals true consumer interest. It initially listed at $72 USD back in May 2019, hit a high of $239.9 in July 2019 but has been hovering at an uninspiring $24 in June 2022. Why? Consumers may be willing to try alternative protein but are unlikely repeat such purchases and they become increasingly tired of hearing about it.

  7. piglosi’s husband makes huge stock purchase in semu conductor chips–right before bill authorizing huge gov’t subsidies hits

    FTA
According to the House Speaker’s disclosure report published a few days back, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband Paul invested $5 million in 20,000 shares of NVIDIA.

NVIDIA is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of advanced computer processors, which are highly dependent on semiconductors.

Paul was recently in the news for being charged with misdemeanor driving under the influence in connection to a car crash in Northern California.

Like every other citizen, Paul Pelosi is allowed to invest his money where he desires. It should be none of anybody’s concern.

However, in this particular case, there is an obvious problem.

The Daily Caller reported that Paul Pelosi’s stock purchase occurred prior to a vote on a bill next week that would grant massive subsidies to chip manufacturing.

The Senate is scheduled to convene next Tuesday to vote on a bipartisan competition bill, that includes $52 billion in grants and subsidies for semiconductor manufacturers and $45 billion to strengthen their supply chain for high-tech products. The bill would also provide chip manufacturers with tax credits for production. The House passed this bill in February.

In June, chip manufacturing companies, including NVIDIA, had dispatched a letter to Washington requesting lawmakers to expedite the passage of the bill.

The obvious issue is that only a select few, such as Speaker Pelosi, were aware of the contents of the bill and the fact that the bill was heading for a vote in the Senate next week. Her husband purchasing seven figures worth of stock in a company that stands to gain from the bill seems too much of a coincidence. It most certainly presents a case of conflict of interest for Pelosi who stand to profit through her husband.

Paul Pelosi is known to be an avid investor in the stock markets. Both Nancy and Paul Pelosi are believed to be worth at least $46,123,051. This places the House Speaker among the 25 richest members of Congress. The vast majority of the couple’s wealth is from stocks, options, and investments made by Paul.

Last year, Paul Pelosi was in the news for earning more than $5 million after trading stocks in Google parent company Alphabet Inc, Amazon, and Apple, ahead of the House Judiciary Committee’s vote to advance five antitrust bills targeting major tech giants.

But Paul is far from the only offender.

  10. EXCERPT: “STORY AT-A-GLANCE

    – David Martin, Ph.D., presents evidence that COVID-19 injections are not vaccines, but bioweapons that are being used as a form of genocide across the global population

    – The spike protein that the COVID-19 shots manufacture is a known biologic agent of concern

    – Martin believes the number that may die may have been revealed back in 2011, when the World Health Organization announced their “decade of vaccination”

    – The objective for the decade of vaccination was a population reduction of 15% globally, which would be about 700 million people dead; in the U.S., this may amount to between 75 million and 100 million people dying from COVID-19 shots

    – When asked what timeframe these people may die in, Martin suggested “there’s a lot of economic reasons why people hope that it’s between now and 2028”

    – The projected illiquidity of the Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid programs by 2028 suggests the “fewer people who are recipients of these programs, the better;” Martin believes this may be why people 65 and over were targeted with COVID-19 shots first”

    1. “In this revealing interview with Greg Hunter of USAWatchdog.com, David Martin, Ph.D., presents evidence that COVID-19 injections are not vaccines but bioweapons that are being used as a form of genocide across the global population.1

In March 2022, Martin filed a federal lawsuit against President Biden, the Department of Health and Human Services and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services alleging that COVID-19 shots turn the body into a biological weapons factory, manufacturing spike protein. Not only is the term “vaccination” misleading when referring to COVID-19 shots, it’s inaccurate since they are actually a form of gene therapy.2

“And we are not only not going to be sued for, you know, any libel or misinformation, we are actually holding people criminally accountable for their domestic terrorism, their crimes against humanity and the story of the coronavirus weaponization that goes back to 1998,” Martin says.3

SARS-CoV-2 Has Been in the Works for Decades

Martin has been in the business of tracking patent applications and approvals since 1998. His company, M-Cam International Innovation Risk Management, is the world’s largest underwriter of intangible assets used in finance in 168 countries. M-Cam has also monitored biological and chemical weapons treaty violations on behalf of the U.S. government, following the anthrax scare in September 2001.4

According to Martin, there are more than 4,000 patents relating to the SARS coronavirus. His company has also done a comprehensive review of the financing of research involving the manipulation of coronaviruses that gave rise to SARS as a subclade of the beta coronavirus family.

Much of the research was funded by the National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) under the direction of Dr. Anthony Fauci.5 Martin explained:6

‘“I think it’s important for your listeners and viewers to remember that it was 1999 when Anthony Fauci and Ralph Baric at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill decided to start weaponizing coronavirus they patented in 2002 — and you heard that date correctly, that’s a year before the SARS outbreak in China.

The first time they patented what they called an ‘infectious replication defective chimera’ of coronavirus. And let’s unpack what that means.

Infectious means that it actually is more lethal to the target. Replication defective means its damage is primarily to the target and not to the target’s family or friends or community or anything else. And in 2002, the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill patented the replication defective infectious coronavirus chimera, which then became the first instance of SARS.

And it was perfected in 2013 to 2016 during the gain of function moratorium, where the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill was given an exemption from the gain of function moratorium so they could continue to weaponize the virus to the point where in 2016, Ralph Baric published a paper in which he said the Wuhan Institute of Virology virus one, coronavirus, was ‘poised for human emergence,’ so they knew this all along.

You know, they knew it was a bioweapon since 2005. They knew it was effective at taking out populations, harming populations, intimidating and coercing populations. And they did that all very intentionally for the purpose of destroying humanity.’

  11. Something to keep an eye on….

EXCERPT: “A number of lawsuits have been brought by various plaintiffs to attack the unholy alliance between the Democratic Party and the social media companies, but so far they have failed, mostly on standing grounds. Which brings us to a lawsuit by the States of Missouri and Louisiana against public officials including, among others, Joe Biden, Anthony Fauci and the Department of Health and Human Services. The case is venued in federal court, in the Western District of Louisiana.

You can read the Complaint at the link. Legal Insurrection has a good description of the case. This is from a Memorandum of Law submitted on behalf of the plaintiffs:
    ——————-
Plaintiff states have moved for a preliminary injunction and for expedited discovery on issues relevant to their motion. The federal government asserted the usual defenses, but on Tuesday Judge Terry Doughty granted plaintiff states’ motion for expedited discovery. Judge Doughty considered at length and rejected the government’s standing arguments. He concluded his technical discussion with this question:

‘If Missouri and Louisiana do not have standing under the facts alleged, when would anyone ever have standing to address these claims?’

The government’s answer, of course, is never. Its alleged violations of the First Amendment would continue forever, without ever being challenged in court.

Judge Doughty’s order granting expedited discovery is potentially seismic. The plaintiff states can serve document requests and interrogatories on the government agencies, as well as social media companies subject to Rule 45 subpoenas, “seeking the identity of federal officials who have been and are communicating with social-media platforms about disinformation, misinformation, malinformation, and/or any censorship or suppression of speech on social media, including the nature and content of those communications.” [Emphasis added.] The order sets forth a rapid timetable for resolution of any objections and disputes arising out of plaintiffs’ service of those discovery requests.”

  12. Actually, this doesn’t surprise me – the DailyMail has an article with tons of pics and the recent pic of her, as well as one a few years ago, has her hanging onto someone’s arm as she walks – that tells me she was unstable on her feet in the first place. However, I wasn’t aware that Melania “had a beef” with Ivana….odd. I’m not surprised about Maples – I can just hear Ivana reaming Donald for that stupidity.

EXCERPT: “Ivana Trump’s cause of death has been released, one day after she was found dead inside her home. Radar has learned that Donald Trump’s first wife plunged down the stairs to her tragic death. The New York Medical Examiner revealed Ivana’s cause of death was blunt impact injuries to her torso after taking a nasty spill inside her apartment on Thursday. The 73-year-old socialite’s autopsy was completed on Friday, RadarOnline.com can confirm.

Manhattan paramedics responded to Ivana’s Upper Eastside home at 12:40 PM ET after receiving a cardiac arrest call, but it was too late. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Ivana married Donald in 1977, and the two shared three children together — Don. Jr, 44, Ivanka, 40, and Eric, 28.

As RadarOnline.com exclusively reported, Donald’s mistress-turned-second wife, Marla Maples, and her daughter, Tiffany Trump, 28, will not be at Ivana’s funeral — because they weren’t invited. However, Donald’s current wife, Melania Trump, who also had beef with Ivana, will be in attendance to support her husband and stepchildren.”

  13. EXCERPT: “Last week I shared one of the boldest campaign ads I’ve ever seen. When I first saw it, I knew I had to interview Jerone Davison, who’s running for the Republican nomination for Arizona’s 4th congressional district. [video below]

Davison was born in Picayune, Miss., and later moved to California and Arizona. He became a Christian at 17 and played college football at Arizona State University and for the Oakland Raiders in the NFL. “He stands firm on upholding America’s freedoms such as the 1st Amendment, by introducing the Internet Bill of Rights, and 2nd Amendment which is demonstrated in his newest campaign ad,” reads his campaign bio.
    ———————–
JD: The idea for the ad came from my campaign manager, and he’s had it in his pocket for a couple of years. He just needed the right person to be able to pull it off, the right person to have the boldness and the courage to do it. I mean, that ad would not get any play without the right person to do it. So that person was me, and when he cast the idea to me, I said yes right away. Because I feel like if the left is going to continue to push the race issue, well, then let’s go ahead and let’s go into it headlong. Let’s go right into it, but let’s do it from the proper perspective. Let’s put race relations right where they belong and put the KKK and the white supremacists where they belong. And that is on the Democrat Party, right?

And so I mean, we all understand that history. It’s the Democrats who are trying right now to remove all the statues, all the historical statues, and through platforms like Google, they’re trying to rewrite history. And it’s important that we fight to keep these statues so that our children and grandchildren could see how far we’ve come as a country. We’re not in the slavery days, but if you listen to the Democrats, it seems like we’re still in the slavery days. They act like a black man can’t come out of his house without getting arrested. Well, it’s not true. America has become a wonderful and exciting country. Yes, we’ve had our history, just as every country in this world has had. But look how far we’ve come.”

  14. EXCERPT: “As President Biden stumbles and mumbles through his trip to the Middle East, a second railroad union has voted to authorize a strike at the end of the current 30-day cooling-off period. According to an open letter from Sheet Metal/Air/Rail/Transportation Union Transportation Division (SMART-TD) President Jeremy Ferguson, the union’s General Committees have shown unanimous support for exercising the workers’ right to strike. From the letter:
    —————
Class I railroad management and the union representatives are clearly at an impasse after meeting all the obligations under the Railway Labor Act (RLA). Negotiations began three years ago, and union workers stayed on the job throughout the pandemic without a wage increase. The parties have engaged in talks independently, participated in the required mediation, and the union refused to enter binding arbitration. The only way to prevent the impending strike is for Biden to appoint a Presidential Emergency Board (PEB).

SMART-TD has 450 locals in the railroad industry and represents more workers than any other railroad union. The other union that authorized a strike, the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen (BLET), represents 23,000 employees in the Class I railroads. If both of these unions act on their strike authorizations, Class I trains will come to a grinding halt nationwide.

Even though the cooling-off period expires at midnight on Sunday and the union leaders obtained strike authorizations, the job action is not automatic. The national union gives final permission for employees to leave the job after 12:01 am on Monday. In 2011, President Obama took it down to the wire and empaneled a PEB on October 7, when the cooling-off period expired. The RLA prohibits a strike for the sixty days the PEB process requires.

However, the railroad industry is in the midst of heightened tensions between management, workers, and even customers. The implementation of Precision Scheduled Railroading (PSR) by management created an environment that did not exist in 2011. According to the unions, implementing this approach to operations slashed staff, increased the length of the trains, and created safety issues. Customers supported the unions’ views in testimony before Congress, complaining about disruptive changes to operating plans and service schedules; degradation of service, such as delays due to insufficient locomotive power and lack of crews; and unreasonable charges.

These conditions will challenge any PEB to devise a solution that pleases both parties. Workers report union leaders told them they expect Biden to empanel a PEB and that it may well be in the 11th hour. Should the board fail to land on a mutually agreeable solution, Congress could make the recommendations of the PEB law and force the employees back to work. The process will conclude in mid-September, which means Democrats would have to force unions to accept a settlement right before the midterms.”

Everybody tolerates each other, and some of the men have actually been known to join in. The other day, Ethel was speeding up a corridor when a door opened and Mad Mike stepped out of his room with his arm outstretched, “STOP!” he said in a firm voice. “Have you got a license for that thing?”

Ethel fished around in her handbag and pulled out a Kit Kat wrapper and held it up to him. “OK,” he said, and away Ethel sped down the hall.

As she took the corner near the TV lounge on one wheel, Weird William popped out in front of her and shouted, “STOP! Have you got proof of insurance?”

Ethel dug into her handbag, pulled out a beer coaster, and held it up to him. William nodded and said, “Carry on mam.”

As Ethel neared the final corridor before the front door, Bonkers Brian stepped out in front of her, stark naked, holding a very sizeable erection in his hand.

“Oh, no!” said Ethel, “Not the Breathalyzer again!”

  16. My grandmother has a bumper sticker on her car that says, ‘Sexy Senior Citizen.’ It’s hard to think of my dear old granny in that way. What is she doing? Out entering wet shawl contests? Wheelchair racing? Teeth swapping? Makes me wonder where she got that ten-dollar bill she gave me for my birthday.
    —————-
A little girl was sitting on her grandfather’s lap as he read her a bedtime story.

From time to time she would take her eyes off the book and reach up to touch his wrinkled cheek. She was alternately stroking her own cheek, then his again. Finally, she spoke up, “Grandpa, did God make you?”

“Yes, sweetheart,” he answered, “God made me a long time ago. “Grandpa, did God make me too?” “Yes, indeed, honey,” he said, “God made you just a little while ago.”

Feeling their respective faces again, she observed, “God’s getting better at it, isn’t he?”

A married couple in their early 60s were out celebrating their 35th wedding anniversary in a quiet, romantic little restaurant. Suddenly, a tiny yet beautiful fairy appeared on their table and said, “For being such an exemplary married couple and for being faithful to each other for all this time, I will grant you each a wish.”

“Ooh, I want to travel around the world with my darling husband,” said the wife. The fairy moved her magic wand and – abracadabra! – two tickets for the new QM2 luxury liner appeared in her hands. Now it was the husband’s turn. He thought for a moment and said: “Well, this is all very romantic, but an opportunity like this only occurs once in a lifetime, so, I’m sorry my love, but my wish is to have a wife 30 years younger than me”.

The wife and the fairy were deeply disappointed, but a wish is a wish…So the fairy made a circle with her magic wand and -abracadabra! the husband was 92 years old.

The moral of this story: Men are ungrateful idiots, Fairies are female!

On the first day, God created the cow. God said, “You must go to the field with the farmer all day long, suffer under the sun, have calves and give milk to support the farmer I will give you a life span of sixty years.” The cow said, “That’s a kind of a tough life you want me to live for sixty years. Let me have twenty years and I’ll give back the other forty.” And God agreed.

On the second day, God created the dog. God said, “Sit all day by the door of your house and bark at anyone who comes in or walks past. I will give you a life span of twenty years.” The dog said, “That’s too long to be barking. Give me ten years and I’ll give back the other ten.” So, God agreed.

On the third day, God created the monkey. God said, “Entertain people, do monkey tricks, make them laugh. I’ll give you a twenty-year life span.” The monkey said “Monkey tricks for twenty years? I don’t think so. Dog gave you back ten, so that’s what I’ll do too, okay?” And God agreed again.

On the fourth day, God created man. God said, “Eat, sleep, play, have sex, enjoy. Do nothing, just enjoy, enjoy. I’ll give you twenty years.” The man said, “What? Only twenty years? No way man. Tell you what, I’ll take my twenty, and the forty the cow gave back, and the ten the dog gave back and the ten the monkey gave back. That makes eighty, okay?”

“Okay,” said God. “You’ve got a deal.”

SO: That is why for the first twenty years we eat, sleep, play, have sex, enjoy, and do nothing; for the next forty years we slave in the sun to support our family; for the next ten years we do monkey tricks to entertain our grandchildren; and for the last ten years we sit in front of the house and bark at everybody.

  17. we’re gonna run out in a little bit–we need to replace some more of the decking boards and one piece of railing. Last winter when huge chunks of ice fell off the roof, it hit the railing and notched out a 5 inch section of it. dang!
    be back after lunch!

  18. EXCERPT: “Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) and Rep. Jim Banks (R-IN) called on Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley to honor his word and stop dodging questions about allegations in Bob Woodward and Robert Costa’s book Peril that he usurped President Donald Trump’s power as commander in chief after the Capitol riot on January 6, 2021, in violation of the law.

Grassley and Banks both spoke Thursday on the floors of the Senate and House respectively to remind Milley he told members of Congress he would review the allegations in the book and get back to them to say if they are true. Despite repeated requests, he has still not said if they are true.

“Milley allegedly placed military hands — his hands — on controls that belonged exclusively to the president. According to Peril, [he] summoned senior operation officers in the military command center to his office,” Grassley said, adding, “He had them take ‘an oath’ not to ‘act’ on the president’s orders without checking with him first,” Grassley said. He continued: ‘These brazen words and actions, if accurate, strike at the heart of our democracy — civilian control of the military. They turn this guiding rule upside down and show utter contempt for the commander-in-chief coming from the nation’s top general. They are dangerous and contrary to military code 10 US Code 888.’

Grassley said Milley assured him in a letter that his actions were on the “up and up” and promised to read the book and report back to Congress. He said he joined Sens. Rand Paul (R-KY) and Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) in a letter pushing for a straight answer. “Nine months later, he’s still dodging the question with the same lame excuse,” Grassley said.

Grassley said when nothing came, he began sending handwritten notes to Milley. He said he received a ten-page letter from Milley that ignored his questions. He went on to say a later email said their letter did not raise a direct question. “I think I can legitimately ask, ‘Is that Pentagon baloney, or what is it?’” Grassley said.

“After my third note, Gen. Milley responded with the same old smoke and mirrors routine: ‘I have never read the books.’ Years of oversight have taught me this lesson. Evasive answers usually offer revealing clues about the truth,” he said, then added: “I think Gen. Milley knows better. He knows the score. If those books and all attendant press coverage of those books had contained gross misrepresentations, we would have heard about it a long time ago. He would have been hammered by the authors and corrected the record. However, to date, not a peep from the general. His silence speaks volumes. Something doesn’t smell just right. As a Pentagon watchdog, when I get a whiff of wrongdoing, I sink in my teeth and don’t let go.

So Congressman Jim Banks, a member of the House Armed Services Committee, and I upped the ante on April the 11th with 12 pointed questions. We gave Gen. Milley a second bite at the apple to clear the air. Now, two and a half months later, we still have no response. Gen. Milley, you said you were going to answer for Sen. Blackburn’s question. Honor your word and so the questions come clean with the American people. We are all ears.”

  19. EXCERPT: “Almost every House Democrat voted on Thursday to reward Indian H-1B visa workers by offering the huge prize of citizenship to their adult children in exchange for their parents taking Fortune 500 jobs from American graduates. Sixty-two Republicans also voted for the corporate giveaway within the defenses authorization bill for 2023.

But the legislation was rejected by most of the GOP’s leadership — including Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), Jim Banks (R-IN), and Jim Jordan (R-OH). The GOP leadership’s opposition may help stop Senate approval, said Rosemary Jenks, policy director at NumbersUSA. But, she warned, “We have our work cut out for keeping this off the Senate version.”

“Your green card expansion will not be in the final [Pentagon bill] after [the joint House-Senate] conference, we will make sure of that,” said a tweet from the Federation for American Immigration Reform to the leading Democratic sponsor, Rep. Deborah Ross (D-NC). “It is bad policy and has no place in a defense bill,” the tweet added.”

  20. EXCERPT: “Republican candidates for U.S. Senate and governor in Arizona – Blake Masters and Kari Lake – hold strong double-digit leads over the rest of their respective primary fields, according to a poll.

The Gateway Pundit/ Cygnal poll found Masters, president of the Thiel Foundation, is the most popular candidate among likely primary voters, garnering 29.9 percent of the response. He holds a 10.3 percentage point lead over the next closest competitor, Jim Lamon, at 19.6 percent. Mark Brnovich secured 17.9 percent of the response, while neither Michael McGuire nor Justin Olson breached the 10 percent mark, at 5.3 and 1.9 percent, respectively. Another 25.3 percent remained undecided. The winner of the primary will face the incumbent, Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ), in the general election.

Former President Donald J Trump endorsed Masters in June, and subsequent polls from the Trafalgar Group and Public Policy Polling both found Masters to be in first place above the rest of the primary field. In April, before receiving Trump’s nod, Masters was polling in third place, per a Trafalgar poll at the time.”

Transgender woman who impregnated 2 inmates removed from N.J.’s female prison

A transgender inmate who impregnated two women while incarcerated at Edna Mahan Correctional Facility for Women has been moved to a new facility, according to the Department of Corrections.
Demi Minor, 27, was transferred to Garden State Youth Correctional Facility, a prison for young adult offenders in Burlington County, last month, Dan Sperrazza, a Department of Corrections spokesman, said.
He said the DOC moved Minor to the vulnerable unit at the facility and that she is currently the only woman prisoner on the site. Sperrazza said he could not comment on the DOC’s specific housing actions in Minor’s case because of policies around privacy.
