A horse as a flight animal. Danger = Ruuuunnn!!!

If humans were an animal of prey, we would rather run than discuss the matter as well…however, there have been some Horse Heroes recorded lately…here are a few stories.

COW MANIA:

I read about a lady from England who went out to see what was bothering a wailing calf.

She realized her mistake after she had already gone into the pen when the Momma cow rushed to the calf’s aid thinking the woman was the issue…

The cow sat on the woman. Not good. The woman realized her predicament and thought she was a goner. But, suddenly, her horse who shared the pasture, came over and started kicking the beejueezus out of the cow. The cow moved and the lady crawled to safety. I’m guessing the horse had had experience with kicking this particular cow… since they shared a pasture. However, this horse came to the rescue of her owner! A remarkable story.

COYOTE STAND OFF:

I just read about this older rancher who went out to feed in the morning and came face to face with a pack of nasty looking coyotes. Well, his trusty three horses who were also in the field, came to his rescue. They circled the wagons and defended their owner against the coyotes. The rancher reported seeinga few direct hits from his mares to the largest coyote. Once safe, the rancher exclaimed that he was absolutely sure that these three mares saved his life. Nice, ladies! Here he is pictured with his horsey heroes!

AUTISTIC CHILD

Another story which doesn’t really fit my model here, but is a good story nonetheless. In this article, a father swears that his horse helped his autistic child. He says that the child uttered his first constructed conversation when riding the horse. And, he feels that the horse was extra special gentle with the little boy.

Much more gentle than with anyone else. I’m sure this is true because I have a pretty rank lead mare at my ranch and she will test any grown-up I put on her back but will be an angel with a kid. Go figure.

COWBOY COLLEGE STORY:

I once interviewed Rocky from the famed Cowboy College. He said that he got lost in the Arizona mountains during really bad weather. He swears that he was so overwhelmed with exhaustion and cold, he passed out while riding. The next thing he knew, he was being brought into the ranch house. His mare had gingerly carried him the extra miles back home. He feels he owes his life to this horse.

CLOSE TO HOME STORIES

I know that my horses are your normal horses…really no heroes among them. They will, however, step up and settle a score for me or make things right, if you know what I mean. I have accidentally been bitten by my lead mare but once she realized her offense, she looked aghast and just stood there bracing herself for what she felt was a fair retaliation blow. I didn’t. I just started to sob gently and she nuzzled me. Good enough. She made it right. (Horse bites HURT.)

My most literal score settling incident happened when I positioned myself badly and received a grazing kick from a colt. His Mama, the same horse who accidentally bit me, ran after him and kicked his hiney across the field and up onto the hill. Atta girl!

And, as I’m sure you have all seen, when you are out in the field with the herd and one particular horse is being a butt-head, the rest of the group will snap at some point and say, ENOUGH! Usually the offending horse will run off and hide behind a tree until he can sneak back unnoticed.

Indirectly, horses have saved my life in an emotional way. During my divorce many years ago, I was not healthy minded. Yet, through all of the drama, I still had to take care of my animals. I dragged my pitiful self out to the barn to help them with their lives. Hmmmm, I seemed to forget myself when I was out there. They got me out of my funk and inspired me to find some money and save the ranch for us. They got me back into the game.

Another indirect save was just last year when I lost Fanny. I stumbled upon her body in the barn. I had never seen a lifeless pet before and I was quite startled and shocked. I started crying. After a few minutes of this, I noticed that the whole barn was quiet and watching me. Now, I had no horses IN the barn. But, they had all come up TO the barn. Every one of them was peering inside through a window or an open board, trying to figure out why Mom was so upset. They weren’t demanding treats or hay or anything from me. They were being honorable. I remember looking up at all the faces and realizing how lucky I was.

That is why, for me, the human — the predator on the evolution scale — I find it fascinating when the prey animal (the horse) helps us.

    Crimo was 9 or 10 when he was enrolled in Cahnmann’s Nerf football program, along with his younger brother. “Every week, the Crimos were the last kids there, and we’d have to call their parents to pick them up,” the former coach said, speaking of Crimo’s dad, Bob Crimo, 58, and his mom, Denise Pesina, 48.

    “The kid was really quiet, really soft-spoken, never made an issue,” added Cahnmann, who now runs the Chicago-based company Brain Bash Trivia. Pesina, however, was a handful, he said. “She got into it once with one of the heads of the program, she was yelling,” he recalled. “It seemed like her kids were a nuisance to her.”

    The accused shooter, an aspiring rapper, grew up with his parents, younger brother and older sister on McDaniels Avenue in Highland Park, outside of Chicago. Under the stage name “Awake the Rapper,” Crimo posted a disturbing music video in 2021 that featured drawings of a stick figure wearing tactical gear carrying out an attack with a rifle, and a newspaper clipping about Lee Harvey Oswald, who assassinated John F. Kennedy.

    “The signs were there for a long time,” said a neighbor of Crimo. “There were always police cars at the house. The parents were arguing, fighting all the time.” Pesina is a self-proclaimed energy healer with her company called Trilogy Energy Systems, according to her Facebook page. His father once ran for mayor and had a local sandwich shop, Bob’s Pantry and Deli, that has since shuttered.

    “He was so nice, he always gave the kids free candy and treats,” the neighbor said. The mom seemed unstable while the father was well liked in the community, locals told Fox News Digital. At the time of the shooting, the younger Crimo was living with his father and uncle at a home in nearby Highwood. Neighbors said Pesina still lived in the Highland Park home, which had become an eyesore in the upscale suburb.

    “I walk by the house every day, it looks like it should be condemned,” said a local. “The landscaping is seven-feet high. I was thinking to myself the other day, we should really do a welfare check.”

    Cahnmann said he was stunned to learn of the mass shooting. “I’m shocked,” Cahnmann said. “Obviously these things can occur anywhere anytime, but Highland Park is a very affluent suburb where you don’t think things like this will happen.”

Crimes of abuse against children must be reported to law enforcement by doctors. If this crime really took place, then a criminal investigation would almost certainly be underway and journalists of even mediocre caliber would be seeking updates from law enforcement.     Instead, corporate media has pounced on the story faster than a Trump scandal. But like most Trump scandals, there are reasons to believe this story was completely manufactured. Even leftist “fact-checkers” Snopes was unable to verify the story despite desperately wanting to do so.

    It is extremely important that we give people the benefit of the doubt in such sensitive circumstances such as child rape. With that said, there are several aspects of this story that simply do not pass the smell test, most notably the person who selectively released the information. Bradford Freeman died Sunday in Columbus, Mississippi, according to a release from Lowndes Funeral Home. He was the last surviving member from Easy Company of the 506th Parachute Infantry in the 101st Airborne, according to The Associated Press. The unit became legendary after HBO’s “Band of Brothers” miniseries.

  27. warnock facing FEC violations for misusing campaign funds to pay for legal fees. he claims sionce the suit was refiled AFTER he was a gov’t employee, he should be able to use those funds. however, the incidents the lawsuit is filed on, occured BEFORE he was in congress…so it doesn’t pass the sniff test. however the FEC could rule that he did not do so “willfully” and let him off easy…what a crock of loopholes!!!

      ELBERTON, G.A. (FOX Carolina) – Multiple law enforcement agencies and a bomb squad are responding to an explosion at the Georgia Guidestones.

      The Guidestones, which are located along Highway 77 in Elbert County, are heavily damaged. At least one of the monoliths making up the landmark has been destroyed.

      The Georgia Bureau of Investigation said unknown suspects detonated an explosive device around 4 a.m., destroying a large portion of the structure.

      GBI’s bomb disposal unit, the Elbert County Sheriff’s Office, the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, the Hall County Sheriff’s Office and the Elbert County Fire Department are all on the scene of the investigation.

      The investigation into the explosion is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call the Elbert County Sheriff’s Office.

      The Georgia Guidestones have been called “America’s Stonehenge.”

      The granite monoliths were built in 1980 after a man who identified himself using the pseudonym “Robert C. Christian” approached the president of Elbert Granite Finishing Company about commissioning them. Elberton is nicknamed the “Granite Capital of the World.”

      Each piece of the 20-foot monument weighs approximately 28 tons. They are engraved in 12 different languages.

      Chris Kubas, the Executive Vice President of the Elberton Granite Association, said it would cost hundreds of thousands of dollars to replace the Guidestones. His organization maintains and preserves the stones.

    Will Johnson Finally Fall?

    Let me admit that I do not understand the details of the political process within British parties. So I do not know if the Tories can force Boris Johnson out of Downíng Street No. 10 or not.

    Over the last 24 hours some 26 government officials from his party resigned over the latest of his many lies:

    The current row is the scandal over Dickensianly-named Charles Pincher. But Johnson had already taken another hit when and both seats they had held, one previously considered safe, the other snatched from Labour in 2019. It didn’t help that Johnson seemed more interested in bolstering Zelensky than fellow MPs, or that he was in Rwanda the day of the special elections.

    Pincher resigned from the post of deputy chief whip on June 30 due to allegations of sexual misconduct. No. 10 claimed that Johnson had not known Pincher had faced charges of similar impropriety in 2019, at the Foreign Office. That story blew up over the weekend.

    But Johnson seems unimpressed:

    A Department of Energy employee has reportedly alleged that the agency allowed “substantial irregularities” to influence its hiring process of Samuel Brinton, a controversial appointee whose work as a drag queen and LGBTQ+ activist has come under scrutiny.

    The National Pulse first revealed Brinton’s drag queen alter ego – “Sister Ray Dee O’Active” – in early February. Yesterday, we revealed how Brinton had defended underage gay prostitution website Rentboy.com in a 2015 op-ed.

    On February 2nd, an anonymous Department of Energy (DOE) whistleblower sent a letter to the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Deputy Inspector General Norbert Vint, alleging that “prohibited personnel practices” were utilized in tapping Brinton for the position of Deputy Assistant Secretary for Spent Fuel and Waste Disposition.

    “Undue political influence and preferences were applied” at the DOE to select Brinton for the position, which the employee also alleged Brinton was was potentially unqualified to hold, the letter claims.

    Brinton’s “background is limited to select advocacy work and an academic background at the graduate-degree level which together satisfy requirements for the competitive placement of a qualified GS-11 in federal career service, not a high-standing member of the SES,” explained the employee. SES is short for Senior Executive Service, a civil service grade equivalent to general officer or flag officer rank.

    “There is concern that making personnel selection decisions for career positions based on political considerations and gender-fluid identity as means of exerting political influence over the workforce, and at the expense of other better qualified candidates, is not the intent of the U.S. civil service laws or the U.S. constitution,” continued the letter, signed by a “Long serving public servant at the U.S. Department of Energy.”

    Accordingly, the letter requested the OPM to conduct an “immediate investigation” into the hiring process surrounding Brinton.

    The National Pulse unearthed an op-ed from Brinton, where he defended a male escort website raided by federal agents for enabling prostitution and having lax age requirements.

    The National Pulse has reached out to OPM for comment on this story, as well as to ascertain whether or not any investigation has commenced.
