Fauci’s Great Escape

For over two years, a small weasel of a man has held this country captive.  His dictates and mandates from an unelected position gave him overwhelming power, which he wielded pompously.  He masked us, isolated us, and violated our rights.  Instead of advising and recommending, he declared and ordained.  His Napoleon Complex driving him to declare rules and regulations for the rest of us, while he, himself, was above them.

At first the country was somewhat compliant—two weeks to shorten the curve—we were told.  It was our “duty” to protect and “save Grandma”.  As we complied, Fauci advanced.  Interestingly enough, although this was a “novel” virus, he already knew treatments would not work against it.  (Until later, when his OWN treatment could be brought to bear.)  No, no treatments…but a vaccine?  THAT was the ticket! And the race was on to develop a one.

But the vaccine was met with hesitancy—what was in it?  What were the side effects?  Side effects be damned, it was declared an emergency and authorized. Everything done quickly—without the usual scrutiny. But eventually results DID started to filter in—not through mainstream media though—they were in lockstep with the dictator.  These were brave doctors—finding alternate treatments that worked—outside of Fauci’s control—and the little Napoleon was triggered!  Someone questioning his authority? He would further squeeze the populace into submission!

Week after week, he made the rounds on television, basking in the adoring attention of the vapid commentators, soaking up unearned praise and making his proclamations—teasing about allowing the possible removal of masks—only to jerk the general populace around once again. He pulled the strings, he made America dance to his tune…or at least he tried.

Inevitably the house of cards began to crumble.  Patriots refused to take the jab; they left their jobs to avoid mandates; legal challenges were filed. Side effects began to emerge.  Questions arose.  Data from other countries seeped into our alternate news streams.  Anger and rebellion were festering and with laser focus found a target…Fauci.

In congressional hearings, Fauci admitted he “didn’t know” if employees at the NIH were receiving royalties.  They aren’t required to report it.  He couldn’t remember if he was receiving them, but did remember some nominal amount ($209?) that he thought he received –copping to a tiny amount to avoid scrutiny on all the years he worked there.  The sleight of hand so no one asks about patents he holds on work he did while a government employee.  I believe Fauci has been socking away royalties and patent cash for years…preparing for this moment…for when public opinion has turned against him.

And now it has been reported that Fauci has covid.  He is in isolation and taking whatever failed “wonder” drug he was previously pushing.  (Out of sight, out of mind.) Then what happened?  He caught a rebound case—as a lot of people do when taking that drug.  So isolation again and another round of treatment.  Or as I have come to think of it as pre-flight time.

I think Fauci is planning his great escape.  He can no longer avoid the nasty turn of public sentiment.  Congress has begun asking difficult questions…questions he does not want to answer.  If he stays, he will certainly face the music sooner or later.  I believe even that little pipsqueak can read the writing on the wall.  He will take his ill-gotten gains and abscond with them—not publicly—oh no.  I believe publicly the poor doctor will succumb to this disease…that will be the tragic announcement.  Private ceremony, no flowers, nothing to see here. Move along.  But the real Fauci will be living out his life elsewhere—probably an island without extradition—with OUR money.  I hope his conscience eats him alive. Or maybe…

  1. Morning All!
    dull, cloudy morning here…
unlike other years, fireworks did not waken me at all…
however, I am happy to report that Will Smith, Jeff Goldblum and I defeated the aliens last evening.
    rest easy folks…LOL

    1. Morning, Pat! Excellent open and dead on target, IMO! Whether it will be reports of his “death” or some other story, it will be something – bet on it! Ugh! Humid as all get out this morning – dead quiet w/o the slightest breeze – gonna be a hot one today!!!! I’ll be getting my watering done early and then remaining inside for the rest of the day. There weren’t nearly as many fireworks this year. Usually, they go on for days, every single night – not this year! But then, the youngsters who live on the farm behind me are all grown up now, with no other kids in the neighborhood.

Chinese agents pose as fake Green protesters to try to stop Rare Earths mining in the West « JoNova (joannenova.com.au)

Given the advantage of controlling essential strategic resources, China would be crazy if they weren’t:

Pro-China group running online campaign against US rare-earths industry, says cybersecurity firm

    Raghav Bikhchandani, ThePrint

A report released Tuesday by Mandiant says a pro-China group named Dragonbridge has been using “nuanced tactics” against firms like Lynas, Appia, and USA Rare Earth. These included posing as local residents online to drum up protests against the construction of a Lynas rare-earths processing facility in Texas. The facility’s development is the result of an agreement signed between the US Department of Defense and Lynas to boost America’s rare-earths domestic industry.

“The accounts claimed that by placing the Lynas plant in Texas, the Biden administration would expose the area to irreversible environmental damage and the local population to radioactive contamination and adverse health effects such as cancer risks, gene mutation, and deformities in newborns,” the Mandiant report said.

    ‘Tactics to manipulate public discourse’

Elaborating on its claims, Mandiant also shared several screenshots of purported sockpuppet Twitter and Facebook accounts dating from April and May that called for a boycott and shared concerns over Lynas and its rare-earths plant. Mandiant also found other “newly identified” social media accounts that were criticising Appia and USA Rare Earth, and which posted memes or links that were “known Dragonbridge content”.

“Many of the usernames consisted of English-language names followed by seemingly random numeric strings.”

    SecuritySolutions

“The private sector is now the victim of attacks by Chinese information operations which is growing increasingly aggressive,” John Hultquist, the Vice President of Mandiant Intelligence said.

” Information operations are typically a problem for civil society, governments, and platforms. They rarely target the private sector so directly and aggressively. This is a well-resourced campaign that’s grown significantly in size and scope compared to its recent activity in Ukraine.”

Among the Australian companies hit was ASX-listed Lynas Rare Earths Ltd, the world’s largest rare earths mining and processing company.

The effect of these particular protests doesn’t appear to be significant yet, but it suggests that China places great importance on controlling the supply of rare earths, that it doesn’t play fair, and that it’s quite likely that this goes on in other industries and public debates.

    SPGlobal

The US Dept of Defence has acknowledged the disinformation campaign and appreciates the diligence of Mandiant.

So how much of this goes on in the Climate debate?

  6. so the shooter at the parade made a few violent videos on line and was known to police…hmmmm another one KNOWN to police.
    entire article
Robert “Bobby” Crimo III, the suspect in the Highland Park parade shooting Monday was taken into custody around Monday evening.

WGN Investigates looked into Crimo’s background.

Crimo was a prolific poster online where he apparently went by the name “Awake the Rapper.” His videos foretell his alleged violent acts. In one, he appears to be dramatize a school shooting. In another video, Crimo appears to animate his own demise in a confrontation with police.
What we know about the Highland Park parade shooting suspect

His postings informed the operation to arrest him.

Highland Park’s mayor Nancy Rotering also confirmed to WGN Investigates she has a connection to the suspect. She said his father unsuccessfully ran against her for mayor in 2019.

Investigators have only just begun to piece together the motive and method of this murderous rampage.

Police said the 22-year-old suspect was “known to law enforcement…” One question that will be asked in the days to come: Were they aware of the violent videos have been online for many months?

  8. hmmmmmmmmmmm….another example of incompetence masking deliberate destruction…the elites will be able to travel with their private planes and pilots. the rest of us? not so much
    FTA
According to Krainer, he had a three-hour call with Christine Anderson, a German member of the European Union Parliament, along with several other participants, three of whom are intimately familiar with the airline industry:

Three of the participants on the call had deep inside knowledge of the airline industry (one of them a pilot) who said in no uncertain terms that the industry is now being systematically and deliberately demolished. Apparently, the ultimate purpose is to kill airline travel altogether.

    snip

According to Krainer, the same “traffic management systems that have evolved for nearly a century and that had functioned close to flawlessly for decades, now suddenly seem to be coming apart at the seams.” Another participant in the call added that what we’re seeing is consistent with the UN’s and World Economic Forum’s plans for a Great Reset, one in which “the ultimate intent is to do away with traveling and to establish a feudal arrangement where people remain fixed in place and all travel is banned.”

Krainer himself concedes that what’s happening doesn’t need to be the result of a conspiracy. It’s enough of a problem that, for whatever reason, we are witnessing chaos in an industry that functioned with remarkable efficiency for decades. Certainly, pilot layoffs and early retirements during the lockdowns haven’t helped the industry. Nevertheless, in light of Krainer’s article, the real question in America is whether Buttigieg is an incompetent idiot, which is easy to believe, or is a well-functioning cog in a global plan to change the world in which we live so that it accords with the ideas of a handful of totalitarian elites (which is also scarily easy to believe)?

For now, I’m going with incompetence and lockdown fallout but that doesn’t mean I won’t keep my eyes open for something sneakier and more sinister.

    1. Oh, I think there are always some who would love to see the end of travel for the public but I don’t think that is the overall goal. Personally, I think it’s more of a general, overall goal to just instill fear into The People in any way possible. The People MUST “need” the all-knowing-wisdom of their betters to guide them – or at least think they do!

  9. EXCERPTS (spacing adjusted): “Roe, of course, is bad because it was imposed on the nation, handed down from on high by black-robed politicians who arrogated legislative powers to themselves. If the people’s elected representatives assembled in state legislatures, instead of power-usurping presidentially-appointed solons in Washington, D.C., had legalized abortion, the action would have enjoyed legitimacy. This is how our constitutional republic is supposed to work.
    ——————-
Roberts could have been part of the new majority opinion (pdf) in Dobbs, joining his five fellow conservative justices in making history in a ruling Ed Whelan of the Ethics and Public Policy Center hailed as the “crowning achievement of the conservative legal movement.”

But Roberts, who is frequently rumored online to be a continuing victim of blackmail, didn’t do that.

Instead, the calculating chief justice agreed with the five conservatives that Mississippi’s Gestational Age Act, which allows abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy only for medical emergencies or severe fetal abnormality, should be upheld. This led to the Dobbs tally of 6-3, which refers to the bare-bones finding of the court, that is, the specific ruling on Mississippi law that the justices voted for.
    ——————–
In Dobbs, Roberts decided to vote to uphold the Mississippi law restricting abortions and nothing more. He did not –as several media outlets erroneously reported— join the bitterly worded three-way dissent filed by the liberal justices. This means that despite the overall 6-3 tally, the vote to overturn Roe was actually 5-4. Perhaps a better way to report on the Dobbs ruling would have been to say the vote was 5-1-3.

And while conservatives may not like the dissenting opinion issued jointly by Justices Stephen Breyer, Sonia Sotomayor, and Elena Kagan –it ends in “we dissent,” without the customary “respectfully” prepended to the phrase— no one can say it is crazy or incomprehensible. The left-wing justices believed Roe should still be the law of the land and made no bones about it as they presented their reasoning.

The Roberts opinion, on the other hand, reflects the disordered mind of a troubled man desperate for attention and approval.
    ——————-
This is cowardice mixed with insanity, but this is the way Roberts operates. The reckless, self-indulgent chief justice doesn’t care if his hair-splitting rulings confuse or hurt people.

Roberts comes across as a crazy person who has absolutely no business holding an important position of authority in government, including overseeing the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court, which Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton manipulated to advance their rolling conspiracy to overthrow Donald Trump, the duly elected 45th president. On that score, no one is really sure what Roberts knew and when he knew it.”
    ——————–
It is not hyperbole to say that Roberts is a menace, an enemy of the rule of law. Maybe Roberts would feel more comfortable sitting on the Supreme Court of Mississippi instead of the Supreme Court of the United States.

Failing that, he could be impeached and removed from office next time Republicans control Congress and the White House at the same time. That is what Roberts deserves and America urgently requires.”

    1. Yep – same here! Just did my back yard walkabout and it’s like walking thru a damp force field! But my flowers are looking good – cukes are exploding! Two of the three Canna I planted in my tire tower are showing signs of life – yeah!!! Now how to stop that pesky ground squirrel from digging a hole right down the center??!!?? I filled it in….again…..and pressed the soil down tight – won’t stop those little pricks, tho!

I also figured out a way to protect the roots of the 2 Clematis in my west bed – I have 2 large urns containing Moss Roses from Marilyn that I moved over in front of them, shading the roots, and moved one of my clay pots with Marigolds over there, too. Hopefully, that will do the trick instead of having to spend money on bushes to plant in front of them. Still hoping that, when they get fully mature, the flowers will, indeed, be lemon yellow, as advertised but that will take more than one or two growing seasons. We’ll see…..

Nothing is hitting my nectar these days and I am having a bigger problem than ever with those danged tiny sugar ants! I still need to work out an appropriate combo for that situation……hell, I may just go with all jelly! It’s certainly a lot easier, if not as cheap.

He is one of the most unique individuals I have ever met……a very strange cross between the SoCAL surfer/DJ dude/musician to time spent in Japan as a young teen and developing a fondness for it, and a global/worldview vs. individual countries….while also being very supportive of our basic Bill of Rights. A VERY different kind of guy…..and, I suspect, with a very high IQ. A number of family members are autistic or otherwise mentally impaired as well so there is also a genetic aspect involved. He was on heavy-duty meds for many years but has now weaned himself off of most. We talked about this yesterday – in reality, he is my only real friend here in NE and, with the addition of his ex, Lori, I am his only real friend here, too. The only quasi-family he has here is the couple from whom he has rented his house for many, many years.

  13. EXCERPT: “We have long-warned that Covid jabs are not only dangerous and ineffective, but will also be the gateway through which medical tyranny will rise in the near future. It was both a test run to find the population’s threshold for authoritarianism and a normalizing factor to prepare people for complete control over their healthcare.

One of the challenges they face in achieving their goal of jabbing every man, woman, and child on Earth is in knowing who isn’t jabbed. There will be many who choose not to participate or who curtail their participation by refusing to get current and future boosters. It’s easy for the powers-that-be to withhold certain services from those who do not get jabbed; we saw vaccine passports and other proofs of vaccination used to prevent people from holding their jobs or attending events. What’s more challenging for them is finding those who avoid activities that require proof of vaccination.

An increasing number of Americans are breaking away from government engagement. We’ve seen a sharp rise in those who are storing away food to keep themselves out of future government breadlines. People are pulling their money from banks and finding value outside of standard markets. There’s a growing off-the-grid mentality. These are the people who governments will have a hard time isolating if they ever choose to reinstate even more draconian vaccine requirements.

In Italy, they’re already addressing this “problem” through artificial intelligence software that can identify the unvaccinated. It is the type of development that, if it’s as accurate as they claim, will almost certainly be adopted in the United States and across the globe in the future. Even if it’s not effective enough for widespread adoption, we will see others who build a better unvaccinated mouse trap.

The article below translated by Free West Media details what’s happening in Italy. Be watchful for such technology rearing its ugly head in the United States very soon.”

  14. Entire Article @ fortheloveofnews.com:

“Kyle Rittenhouse, the kid from Kenosha at the center of a 2020 media storm that convicted him of being a murderer before he even went to trial, is taking legacy media to task once again. Rittenhouse became the center of media chaos during the riots in Kenosha, WI, in 2020 when three alleged men attacked then-17-year-old Rittenhouse. All of these men had a criminal history. All the attackers were criminals, and one was convicted for crimes against children. Each one was a danger to this young man, and he responded with deadly force when necessary to preserve life which is a fundamental right in this country.

Since enduring the hellish trial and media entourage, Rittenhouse created the Media Accountability Project to take legacy media on after all but sentencing him for murder. According to their website, their goal is to have fair and accurate reporting in the news so that no one is unduly elected in the public sphere before getting a fair trial. Kyle Rittenhouse has made rounds on multiple talk shows, including Tucker Carlson, to support this initiative. Even though he endured such a difficult time after being attacked in the middle of a riot, he was able to compose himself and think clearly to prevent this from happening to another person, which says a lot about him as a human being.

Though not content just to make the Media Accountability Project, Rittenhouse has now taken on a new task to help raise funds to fight our corrupted media establishment. Mint Chip from Mint Studios developed the game “Kyle Rittenhouse’s Turkey Shoot” not just to make another game but to fight established media and censorship. The CEO stated when talking about Kyle, “Before the trial, you couldn’t even mention his name in a positive manner on social media without getting banned.” The game has you playing as Kyle Rittenhouse and shooting at fake news turkeys. It’s a simple point-and-shoot game that would be fun for young children. It’s on pre-order now for just under $10.

After surviving so much and taking on huge established media giants, is there anything this kid can’t do? The money raised from the game will fight back against leftist media sources and biased news reporting. Before 1987 there was a law on the books called the Fairness Doctrine. It held radio and television broadcasters accountable for what they broadcasted and required them to show opposing viewpoints to counterbalance any skewed response. During that time, it was rare that the media could put on an effective public trial before a person could go to court. The ability to poison the public’s mind against a defendant is a recent phenomenon. In shaping public opinion, the media tried desperately to take away Kyle Rittenhouse’s Constitutional right to a fair trial by installing bias within the general public. It ensured public outrage if he wasn’t convicted due to poor reporting. Returning the fairness doctrine would ensure that our media cannot preemptively prosecute and declare judgment upon a human being facing the criminal justice system. You would assume that the left would like this since most of them are criminals. The act was revoked in 1987 because it violated the constitution’s free speech clause.”

  15. EXCERPT: “Food Innovation Hubs (FUBs) are being set up all over the world for the “transformation of food systems”. In November 2020, the World Economic Forum announced that the European Food Innovation Hub will be located in Wageningen, in the Netherlands.

Prime Minister Rutte announced last year that his country would invest in the Global Coordinating Secretariat of the Food Innovation Hubs. This secretariat will also operate from Wageningen. “Fishermen gone, farmers gone, the next planned ‘crisis’ will be famine. Fortunately, there is The Solution: the WEF ‘food hubs’! stated FVD leader Thierry Baudet.

“I find this quite disturbing. What do we need a food coordination centre for? Of the WEF, no less. Under the guise of ‘fair prices for farmers’, (good) citizens are made dependent on the WEF for their food supply. Isn’t that scary?” asked health scientist Yvonne Simons.

Independent researcher Frank Hoogerbeets noted: “Food hubs must take total control of the food supply through WEF policy. So there is no place for farmers anymore. Not reported by the NOS [National Public broadcaster. ed.].”

Prime Minister Rutte spoke earlier at the WEF about these ‘food hubs’. His government meanwhile blames farmers for producing too much “nitrogen”.
    ——————–
During the debate about the manufactured “nitrogen crisis” in the country and in particular about the farmers’ protests against the tyrannical plans of the Rutte administration, Wybren van Haga (BVNL) lashed out at the cabinet. “The nitrogen hoax is inexplicable,” said Van Haga. He said that farmland was being confiscated for a problem that does not even exist.

Van Haga (BVNL) did not mince words. “Dutch farmers,” he said, “are being ruined by this cabinet on the basis of a non-existent nitrogen problem. Thousands of lives are being destroyed, families are being torn apart and the work of generations is being destroyed.”

The situation is so bad that “several farmers have hanged themselves.” And, indeed, “the right to property is no longer worth anything – farming culture is demonized, the government no longer appears to be a protector of the rule of law.”
    ——————–
A 2020 document from the Rockefeller Foundation outlined an ambitious plan to transform the food system under the guise of Corona. The document was published just after the World Economic Forum announced its Great Reset agenda and titled Reset the Table.

The document argued that the US food system needed to be overhauled with a focus on “social justice” and “protecting the environment”. The Rockefeller Foundation advocated “sustainable agriculture” and “healthy food”. The WEF focuses mainly on insects as a “sustainable” protein source.

In addition, the Rockefellers advocated digital surveillance and the collection of data on the eating habits of Americans. This is already happening in Europe. Statistics Norway (SSB) has ordered large Norwegian supermarket chains to share all their receipt data with the agency.”

  16. EXCERPTS: “The following text is taken from a document released by the Rockefeller foundation in 2010 titled ‘Scenarios for the Future of Technology and International Development’. It describes a future scenario playing out which the document terms as the ‘Lockstep Scenario’.

‘In 2020, the pandemic that the world had been anticipating for years finally hit. Unlike the 2004 SARS epidemic, this new coronavirus strain—origin unknown—was extremely virulent and deadly. Even the most pandemic-prepared nations were quickly overwhelmed when the virus streaked around the world, infecting nearly 20 percent of the global population and killing millions in just seven months.

The pandemic also had a deadly effect on economies: international mobility of both people and goods screeched to a halt, debilitating industries like tourism and breaking global supply chains. Even locally, normally bustling shops and office buildings sat empty for months, devoid of both employees and customers. The pandemic blanketed the planet—though disproportionate numbers died in care homes, where the virus spread like wildfire in the absence of official containment protocols.

The United Kingdom’s initial policy of “strongly discouraging” citizens from flying proved deadly in its leniency, accelerating the spread of the virus not just within the U.K but across borders. However, a few countries did fare better—China in particular. The Chinese government’s quick imposition and enforcement of mandatory quarantine for all citizens, as well as its instant and near-hermetic sealing off of all borders, saved millions of lives, stopping the spread of the virus far earlier than in other countries and enabling a swifter post-pandemic recovery.

China’s government was not the only one that took extreme measures to protect its citizens from risk and exposure. During the pandemic, national leaders around the world flexed their authority and imposed airtight rules and restrictions, from the mandatory wearing of face masks to body-temperature checks at the entries to communal spaces like train stations and supermarkets.’

You will have noticed a few words within the article which we highlighted in bold. These are words that we changed in order to bring the document in line with the current scenario playing out across the world – the alleged Covid-19 pandemic. [Words in bold: 2020; 2004 SARS epidemic; coronavirus; origin unknown; care homes]

A grand total of just 9 words is all that we needed to change to ensure the full text; written in 2010 by the Rockefeller Foundation, fully represented the alleged Covid-19 pandemic. Just nine words.

We’re either living in the age of coincidence or we are watching a very carefully thought out plan play out before our eyes.”

  17. EXCERPT: “But progressives never sleep and never quit in their quest to diminish the country. And Reagan’s awful successor, George H.W. Bush, although a genuine World War II hero, made it easy for them. “Read my lips — no new taxes,” Bush pledged at the 1988 Republican Convention, fooling everyone into believing he would follow in Reagan’s path. He broke his only famous vow just two years later, disheartening conservatives for a long time. Any man of honor would have resigned before humiliating himself that badly, but not Bush, who plodded on to lose to Bill Clinton.

In 2000, George W. Bush barely got elected, and only because Vice President Al Gore was too damn weird. September 11th, 2001 propped Bush up as a strong leader, if only for a while. When America went to war, leftists went to work. They consolidated their control of academia and Hollywood, while conservatives did nothing. With American soldiers once more in harm’s way, they produced a slew of anti–War on Terror film bombs (In the Valley of Elah, Syriana, Lions for Lambs, Green Zone, Stop-Loss, Redacted, Munich, War Inc., Rendition, The Lucky Ones, and many more). It wasn’t guilt that stopped them. It was Clint Eastwood, who made one pro-military film, American Sniper, that grossed much more than all the others put together.

Unlike every other Republican president since Reagan, President Trump recognized the cultural attack on the country and its mostly glorious history. He proposed a National Garden of American Heroes to honor the luminaries under siege. The Left used its entire political, bureaucratic, intelligence, and media complex to defeat him. Yet not destroy him — as their fear of Trump is still palpable (see the House’s increasingly ridiculous January 6th Committee with its repulsive Republican toadies, Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger). Their probably Pyrrhic victory doubtless accelerated the steep drop in national pride.

But this will be their downfall. Because conservatives have had enough of the ugliness and madness being foisted on this country. And they’re now doing a lot more than standing athwart history and yelling, “Stop!” They’re ready to fight, and make America proud again.”

Being the good neighbors that we are, conservatives are often offering to help them relocate.

The thing is, they never do.

One of the big reasons they don’t is that their socialist Utopias generally don’t have generous immigration policies. Canada may look good to them, but they don’t look that good to Canada. A lefty comedy club owner I know once thought he could get government health care by having an anchor baby in Canada and was promptly asked to take his newborn child and leave by our neighbors to the north.

The biggest reason, however, is that, deep down in their dark commie hearts, they know that there isn’t a better option than the United States of America. They are part of an insular, ideologically rabid culture that doesn’t allow them to state that publicly, but they know it’s true.

The America-hating celebs could all use some perspective. Let Jessica Chastain spend a year in Tehran and see how her feminist ways are embraced there.

Their lust for abortion up to the point of full gestation might have been tempered by extended time spent in one of their preferred European socialist countries, where the cutoffs for legal abortions are what American progressives consider draconian.

I’m out of the activism game, but I might be interested in starting a foundation that offers one-way tickets out of the country for any prog celebs who are stupid enough to believe that their freedoms are being taken away simply because they can’t abort babies like a marauding team of infanticidal barbarians.

I guarantee it will be the only free money any leftist ever turns down.”

  20. EXCERPTS: “But I want to talk about another impact of the recent court decision — one that might be subtler, but in its own way is just as profound. The overturning of Roe v. Wade and (even more so) Planned Parenthood v. Casey would mean a great deal even if no states could manage to pass protective, pro-life laws. (Which thanks be to God, isn’t close to true.)
    ——————-
In 1973, our nation’s highest court said that the document of our founding contained the right to abortion, based on some nebulous emanation of the right to privacy. I remember when this happened and my mother explained it to me (I was only 8). I almost threw up.

That nausea never quite left me. It wasn’t just that a state like New York, or even a representative body such as Congress had decided to make abortion legal. No, our highest authority had taught, with almost papal force, that legal abortion was part of the very essence of America. Who could unreservedly love such a country? And so I never fully did. Even during our Bicentennial in 1976, I couldn’t celebrate with a whole heart, knowing that our Constitution (as officially interpreted) contained such a festering evil.

As I grew older and volunteered in pro-life groups, of course I was trying to save innocent babies. But I was doing something more. I was trying to save my country, to cleanse it of a fundamental taint, a virulent cancer, which our courts had said lived in its heart. I wrote in 2008 about my first trip to Washington, D.C.:

‘The first time I ever saw our nation’s capital was on the March [for Life], way back in high school on a bus the Knights of Columbus rented to take us down there. Those vast, wedding cake buildings that represent the authority of the U.S. government, adorned with flags, bronze statues, bas-reliefs and grand inscriptions … it all seemed such a miserable sham. Those structures built out of butter cream looked to me like whited sepulchers. The Supreme Court on whose steps we stood seemed a structure built of bones, and the city a fortress defending a vast and soulless regime of death. And so it stands today.’

We elected one pro-life president after another. But half their judges betrayed us. The system was rigged. Were the pro-choicers right, that America was founded, in its essence, on the right to murder children for sexual convenience? The Democrats and half the Republicans seemed to believe so, and connived at keeping it true. (George W. Bush tried to betray us again, by appointing pro-abort Harriet Miers to the court. Read the great Ben Johnson on how pro-life Christians foiled him. And earned us Alito instead.)
    ——————-
The recent Dobbs decision written by Justice Alito didn’t just reverse some bad legal precedents. It didn’t “just” save many thousands of innocent lives. It restored the real America, the one our ancestors fought for, the only one worth defending. It may have won for us some reprieve from the justified wrath of God. I pray that it has.

In the wake of the Dobbs decision, I can celebrate Independence Day wholeheartedly for the first time since 1973, and enjoy this classic country song in a whole new way. I can even sing along.” [Lee Greenwood video]

  21. Entire Article @ Summit News dated today: “From tomorrow, all new vehicles sold in the EU will have mandatory black boxes fitted that record technical data and will be accessible by authorities, greasing the skids for surveillance-powered speed limiting technology. While for the time being, drivers can opt-out of using the feature, privacy advocates fear the technology will become mandatory once it is properly rolled out.

Back in 2019, the European Transport Safety Council (ETSC) announced that July 6 would mark the day when all car manufacturers would be forced to fit new models with a system that keeps track of technical data. The data recorded will include “the vehicle’s speed, braking, steering wheel angle, its incline on the road, and whether the vehicle’s various safety systems were in operation, starting with seatbelts.”

Although insurance companies won’t have immediate access to the data, it will be available to law enforcement. Authorities claim the data will be “anonymized,” meaning the information can’t be used to identify the owner of the vehicle, although only the incredibly naive would plausibly believe that. Such systems are expected to eventually include speed-limiting technology.

As Reclaim the Net’s Didi Rankovic explains, the most common method of speed limiting technology is Intelligent Speed Assistant (ISA).

“ISA works using GPS data alone, cameras for traffic sign recognition fitted to the front of the car, or a combination of the two. A speed limiter affects the engine power and in that way decreases speed. Like the name suggests, speed limiters are designed to prevent drivers from exceeding certain speed limits, and prompt them via audio, visual, and haptic warnings until they “obey” and slow down.”

For decades, governments have been pushing for all cars to be fitted with black boxes that track location data. The ultimate dystopian scenario involves giving police the power to utilize similar technology to completely disable the functioning of a vehicle if the driver is deemed to have committed an infraction.

This doesn’t need to be a criminal offense, if the pursuit of social credit score schemes continues to become more invasive, it would eventually be used as a form of punishment for everything from unpaid utility bills to offensive comments posted on social media.”

  22. EXCERPTS: “PITTSBURGH — Insiders expect the U.S. Senate race between Mehmet Oz and John Fetterman to be one of the most expensive of all time in Pennsylvania — perhaps even surpassing the spending in 2016 when Republican Pat Toomey defended his seat — and the main battleground may be the airwaves.
    ————————
If the GOP primary serves as any lesson to what the general election may hold, voters should strap in for months of attack ads, swamping almost every commercial break. According to an analysis by the ad tracker AdImpact, Republican advertisers spent $64.12 million on advertising in for the primary election. The highest spender was a pro-McCormick issue group, Honor Pennsylvania, which spent $19.12 million.

A pro-Oz group, American Leadership Action, spent $3.64 million on ads, and Oz’s campaign itself dropped $15.03 million, according to AdImpact — which noted that between both parties, spending in the primary was nearly six times the total of the 2018 Senate primary and general elections combined. In that election, Sen. Bob Casey, a Democrat, successfully defended his seat against Republican Lou Barletta.

Now, the big guns are primed to get more involved.

As part of a flurry of initial spending in five states, the Senate Majority PAC, supporting Democratic candidates, reserved $26 million in fall advertising spots in Pennsylvania, with most ads starting in August, according to an aide. And the group recently announced another $5.9 million of spending on ads here as part of a summer ad blitz across battleground states.
    ————————-
The Mitch McConnell-aligned Senate Leadership Fund has reserved $24.6 million in ads in Pennsylvania, beginning Sept. 13 and running through Election Day, Nov. 8, group officials said. It’s part of a $141 million advertising push nationwide to try to take back the Senate majority for Republicans.”

          1. That is exactly what I do, except when I’m watching for “breaking” news. I have a bunch of stuff recorded. If something is coming on a channel, like ID, that I want to watch but not necessarily record, I’ll tune my box to that station, then pull up something I’ve got recorded, like Castle or Rissole & Isles episodes or a movie, and watch those. After an hour or so, I’ll go back to the station already tuned on the box, rewind, and then be able to FF thru the commercials. Until I catch up….then I do the same thing all over again…..I’ve got it down to a fine-tuned system! LOL

  23. Here Come The Days

Once upon a time we formed a country
Ruled by us, the people, not by kings
Guaranteeing freedom, our rights from God
And prayed for blessings only God could bring
Those were the days, my friend
    We prayed they’d never end
We fought hard to keep the Brits away
We’d live the life we choose
    We’d fight and never lose
For we asked God to guide us on our way

Then the busy years went rushing by us
With God’s Light showing us the way
If by chance I’d see you in the morning
We’d smile at one another and we’d say
These are the days, my friend
    We prayed they’ll never end
We worked hard to keep our country’s way
We lived the life we choose
We worked and paid our dues
    Those were the days
Oh, yes, those were the days

Now our country’s stolen by some demons
Nothing is the way it used to be
Laws and rights are gone by their agenda
And we live lives controlled and not free
These are the days, my friend
    Seems they’ll never end
We pray to God to end them every day
    We seek justice; they refuse
    And spout their evil views
    These are dark days
Oh, yes, these are dark days

Through the country come familiar yearnings
We have it all, and we know who’s to blame
Oh, my friend, we’re older and we’re wiser
But in our hearts our dreams are still the same
Here come the days, my friend
    We pray they’ll never end
We’ll praise our God forever and a day
We’ll work and pay our dues
    God wins, the demons lose
    Here come the days
Oh, yes, here come the days

  24. EXCERPT: “If things are this bad now, what will this country look like once economic conditions deteriorate quite a bit more? Previous generations of young Americans were equipped to handle adversity. This generation of young Americans is not.

The thin veneer of civilization that we all used to be able to take for granted is steadily disappearing, and our society is evolving into a horror show that would have been unrecognizable to previous generations.

If we would have done things differently, we could have gotten much different results. Our choices have consequences, and now most of our major cities are being transformed into crime-infested hellholes right in front of our eyes.”
