Natural Childbirth (Part 1)

Please note – everything in this article pertains to a NORMAL, average pregnancy, with NO complications.

In 1980, I was pregnant with my second child and, like the vast majority of people, I trusted my doctor. I had some minor morning sickness and he gave me a prescription for Bendectin, the only approved drug available in the US at that time. The nausea disappeared within a few weeks, so I never took it.

I enjoyed reading the “rags,” like the Enquirer, where I read an article that claimed Bendectin was causing birth defects. My doctor insisted it was quite safe. In 1983, after losing a birth defect lawsuit, the manufacturer pulled it from the shelves. It was never proven that Bendectin caused birth defects. However, here is the bottom line: drugs are NOT good during a normal pregnancy!!! Link to a 1983 NY Times article, if you’re interested.

Stuck at home, by myself, with no vehicle, I worked on my Bengal tiger latch-hook wall hanging and read books about pregnancy and childbirth. I discovered something called “Natural Childbirth.” Our God does NOT make mistakes and, in the normal course of events, nature provides mechanisms to lessen or eliminate what many consider “problems” in labor and delivery.

For example, the requirement to remain flat on your back and not being allowed to get up and walk around – this puts pressure on a major artery and eliminates the effects of normal gravity; the proscription against eating or drinking – this simply makes it easier for the doctors to guard against vomiting and aspiration of fluids; routine enemas – most women will naturally void their bowls during early labor; shaving the pubic hair – again, this is for the convenience of the doctors; an episiotomy – given no other complications (as in my case), the vaginal opening will gradually stretch during labor due to the pressure from above; the claim that drugs do not cross the placental barrier – not true.

In early March, I was one month out from my due date and we went to “Orientation to Labor and Delivery” at Walter-Reed. The Captain giving the class started listing all these drugs you can have during labor, such as getting an epidural, which entails injecting a numbing drug directly into your spinal cord. Yes, this blocks the pain but it also, to a certain extent, removes your ability to push during contractions. She claimed that these drugs did not cross the placental barrier, which I knew for a fact was not true.

Walter Reed Army Medical Center

Well, she did NOT like that! She got all huffy and said, “Well, if you don’t like the way we run things at WR, you can take it up with the General who runs the hospital.” We immediately got up and left the class and were directed to the Public Affairs office, where the Colonel told us they could not FORCE us to do anything we didn’t want – he advised waiting and coming to the hospital at the last minute.

This experience prompted me to search for alternatives and I found a book at the library about Home Birth. Stop and think for a minute – where is THE worst place to be when it comes to germs? That’s right – A HOSPITAL!!!! Your body, and therefore your baby, is already acclimated to the germs within your own home. Yes, when complications arise, chances are not good. However, if you live close to a hospital in case of an emergency….

I was able to find a local group in Arlington called “Family Birth Associates” and we began our journey…….but we had to move fast. Time was running out……stay tuned for the rest of the story…….

  1. EXCERPT: “The end product is nothing close to the real meat, bearing a composition that is unhealthy and, quite frankly, toxic. And this is exactly what the globalists want: a sick and dying human “herd” that is easily manageable and unable, both physically and cognitively, to resist their own tyranny and enslavement.

We are almost there as our society has been drenched in toxic industrial seed oils and so-called “plant-based” foods, which contain no animal fats. These processed food products contain high levels of linoleic acid (LA), which is now understood to be a primary driver of chronic disease.

None of this would be possible without private central banks and the fraudulent stock market pumping up these endeavors with endless fiat cash infusions, by the way. The “investments” that go into creating fake meat do not reflect what actual humans want, but rather what the powers that be want for all of humanity – except for themselves, of course (assuming the globalists are even really human…).

The really disturbing part is that many of these toxic, lab-centric “foods” are being marketed as “natural.” Plant-based has become part of the healthy eating vernacular, even though it represents the opposite of real health.

“It seems that even with all the smarts and savvy in the natural products community, we have failed to understand that we are being targeted by a coordinated global campaign to force the adoption of synthetics in natural channels,” warned Alan Lewis, vice president of advocacy at Natural Grocers.

“The campaign is a spawn of the notorious GMO lobby, now emboldened and backed by technology moguls.”

  2. Good morning y’all! I know several women who have had natural child birth. One did the pool of water thing. I think it is probably less stressful in that you would be in a familiar place. I can also see how being able to walk around or shower would help with the pain. I have arthritis and know lying down makes it worse sometimes, can’t imagine birthing pains!

    1. Morning, CM! It kind of became the rage there for a while – it certainly made sense to me! I mean, everyone was always born at home back in the day! We considered the pool but decided that was just a bit too far for us! LOL – almost tied down and impossible to move is a VERY unpleasant position to be in!!!

  4. EXCERPT: “Archeological workers restoring the historic Syriac Orthodox Mar Thomas Church in Iraq’s capital Mosul, which was heavily damaged by Islamic State fighters about four years ago, have discovered about a dozen ancient relics and parchments connected to several saints, according to reports.

The relics include manuscripts in Syriac and Aramaic as well as six stone containers wrought with Aramaic inscriptions, and some of them relate to Saint Theodore, Saint Simon, Mor Gabriel, Saint Simeon, and other well-known figures, the U.S.-based persecution watchdog International Christian Concern said.

One of the stone containers carried an inscription relating to Saint Theodore, a Roman soldier born in the province of Corum, Turkey, in the third century CE and beheaded for having converted, The Jerusalem Post said, citing a report by AsiaNews.

Some containers are related to Saint Simon “the Zealot,” a first century apostle of Jesus; Mor Gabriel, bishop of the Tur Abdin hilly region situated in southeast Turkey from 593 to 668 CE, the Post continued.

The discovery also include “relics of Saint Simeon the Wise from the first century CE, who, according to Christian tradition, welcomed the infant Jesus in the Jewish Temple of Jerusalem; relics of Saint John, one of the first apostles of Jesus, also known by his Hebrew name Yohanan ben Zavdi, and relics of celebrated writer and Syrian Orthodox Regional Primate Saint Gregory Bar Hebraeus, who served in the position from 1264-1286 CE,” it added.”

  6. EXCERPT: “The number of prosecutors fleeing the city’s district attorneys offices has spiraled in the wake of criminal justice reforms that have created what one ex-top prosecutor called “insanity.” Sixty five assistant district attorneys, or about 12 percent of the staff, have resigned so far this year from Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg’s office, up from about 44 through the end of March. During all of 2021, 97 ADAs quit.

The situation is nearly the same in the office of Brooklyn DA Eric Gonzalez, where 67 of some 500 prosecutors, or about 13 percent, have also called it quits as of June 17. Another three resigned on Thursday, according to a source. That is compared to 84 who left in all of 2020 and 94 last year.

In the Bronx, 59 prosecutors have walked from January through May. Reps from the Queens and Staten Island DA offices did not respond to requests for data. When Bragg took the helm of the Manhattan office in January, at least nine lawyers quit in the first two weeks, The Post revealed. Some were spurred to leave, sources said, by Bragg’s soft-on-crime approach which he outlined in a “Day One” memo directing ADAs to not seek prison sentences for many criminals and to downgrade some felonies to misdemeanors.

But sources said state criminal justice reforms are now playing a greater role in pushing out staffers.”

  7. Entire Article @ LiveAction: “On Friday, June 24, on the heels of the Supreme Court’s decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost shared via Twitter that he had filed an emergency motion to dissolve the injunction against the enforcement of that state’s heartbeat law. The law, which was signed by Governor Mike DeWine in April of 2019, bans abortion after a preborn child’s heartbeat can be detected, which is normally possible at around six weeks’ gestation.

According to an email from the Center for Christian Virtue (CCV), U.S. District Judge Michael Barrett acted quickly in response to the emergency motion, and has dissolved the injunction against the law. “In Ohio, we believe that with God, all things are possible. Today, it’s been proven true once again as we see abortion banned in Ohio at the point a heartbeat is detected!” wrote the CCV.

“After Dobbs, abortion laws are subject to the same standard as any other law: rational basis review,” stated Attorney General Yost’s motion. It continued:

‘And the law here satisfies that easy-to-meet standard for the same reason as the Mississippi law at issue in Dobbs: it rationally promotes the State’s legitimate interest in ‘protecting the life of the unborn.’ The ruling in Dobbs represents a substantial change in the law, and abrogates the prior legal basis supporting this Court’s Order enjoining enforcement of the challenged law.’

The motion requested an immediate dissolution of the injunction against Ohio’s Heartbeat Law, stating that there was “no just reason for delay” and that “the State of Ohio will be irreparably harmed by any delay whatsoever[.]”

In July of 2019, Judge Barrett imposed the initial injunction against enforcement of the law, claiming that a suit filed by abortion businesses in opposition to the law was “certain to succeed on the merits of [the abortionists’] claim that [the bill] is unconstitutional[.]” Barrett extended the temporary injunction in March of 2021.

Judge Barrett’s claim that Ohio’s bill was unconstitutional was founded upon the precedents established by Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey, the two cases which had established a so-called right to abortion. But with those two rulings now overturned, the landscape has shifted dramatically.”

  8. EX ERPT: “In 1975, in the Killing Fields of Cambodia, Sokanha Prak assumed the role of mother, father, and protector to her 1-, 3-, and 4-year-old siblings. Fending for them and herself in the countryside, the 6-year-old had no choice.

Sokanha’s parents had been ripped from them by the Khmer Rouge, a Chinese Communist-backed military force intent on creating a faux-utopian society built on deprivation, thought control, and, when necessary, execution. Equipped only with a child’s mind and body, she worked herself to exhaustion, hour by hour, knowing that her captors could take all of their lives at any moment.

Today, 9,000 miles from the site of the Southeast Asian detention camp that smacked of the Nazi Holocaust, Sokanha, 53, now calls herself Amanda—in Latin, “worthy of love”—at the suggestion of a friend she met as a teen. It’s an altogether fitting moniker: when she was born, her umbilical cord was wrapped around her neck, and a midwife saved her life—only for her to face the terrors of totalitarianism in childhood.

Now settled in a suburban home outside Richmond, Virginia, Amanda is mostly freed of the many hellish nightmares that once hounded her. She is the mother of two adult sons and works as a hairstylist. And as the survivor of a campaign of genocide that claimed an estimated 2 million lives, Amanda makes her own life story known in the hopes that the world will never forget.
    ————————
“This could happen anytime, anywhere, really,” Amanda warned. Her statement could just as easily refer to any number of other crimes against humanity throughout history, involving Armenians, Bosniaks and Bosnian Croats, the Tutsi in Rwanda, or Jews during the Russian pogroms.

Thinking of future generations in both America and Cambodia, she hopes that, in the spirit of the name her best friend gave her, people all over the world can love and feel loved. “I want them to be kind. The world needs a lot of kindness,” Amanda said.’

  9. I said there would be a catch and here it is!!!!

Entire Article: “AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) — Religious schools got what they wanted when the Supreme Court allowed them to participate in a state tuition program. But the state attorney general said the ruling will be for naught unless the schools are willing to abide by the same antidiscrimination law as other private schools that participate in the program. An attorney for the families criticized the “knee-jerk” comments, and the leader of a religious group predicted further litigation.

The Supreme Court ruled Tuesday that Maine can’t exclude religious schools from a program that offers tuition for private education in towns that don’t have public schools. But religious schools didn’t have long to savor their victory before learning of a new hurdle. Attorney General Aaron Frey said both Christian schools involved in the lawsuit have policies that discriminate against students and staff on a basis of sexual orientation or gender identity, preventing their participation in the tuition program despite the hard-fought litigation.

“The education provided by the schools at issue here is inimical to a public education. They promote a single religion to the exclusion of all others, refuse to admit gay and transgender children, and openly discriminate in hiring teachers and staff,” he said in a statement.

There was no immediate comment from two schools, Temple Academy in Waterville or Bangor Christian Schools.

Michael Bindas, senior attorney for the Institute for Justice, said the attorney general isn’t paying close attention to the Supreme Court’s commitment to religious liberty in recent years. “It was an erroneous opinion of the Maine attorney general that embroiled the state in five lawsuits spanning three decades and that culminated in the Supreme Court’s ruling against the state,” Bindas said Thursday in a statement. “The current attorney general seems to not have learned any lessons from that experience.”

If the state truly intends to use the state law to create another obstacle, then more litigation will be inevitable, said Carroll Conley, executive director of the Christian Civic League of Maine. The original lawsuit by three families seeking reimbursements to attend Christian schools dates to 2018, but it goes back even further. The state always sought to maintain a solid line between church and state by reimbursing for private schools – but not religious schools. The goal was to give rural students without a public high school an education that’s similar to what public school students get.

In Maine, 29 private schools participate in the program, enrolling 4,526 students, officials said. Private schools that meet the state’s criteria can get about $12,000 in taxpayer funding per student. The most immediate effect of the court’s ruling beyond Maine probably will be in nearby Vermont, which has a similar program. The Supreme Court’s 6-3 decision could propel school choice pushes in some of the 18 states that have not directed taxpayer money to private, religious education. It was seen as an affirmation for states that already have voucher programs open to religious schools.

But all schools receiving state tuition must abide by the Maine Human Right Act, which bans discriminating against someone because of their race, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity or disability, Frey said. The Legislature in the last session strengthened the law that clarified the scope of the Maine Human Rights Act in education. Democratic Gov. Janet Mills signed the bill into law last year.

The updated law, sponsored by Democratic Sen. Craig Hickman, the first openly gay African American to serve in both chambers of the Legislature, bans discrimination in education on the basis of “sex, sexual orientation or gender identity,” among other things.

The American Association of Christian Schools, meanwhile, brushed aside concerns of discrimination against the LGBTQ community. “We don’t look at it as discrimination at all. We have a set of principles and beliefs that we believe are conducive to prosperity, to the good life, so to speak, and we partner with parents who share that vision,” said Jamison Coppola, spokesperson for the association.

The lead plaintiffs, Dave and Amy Carson, were students of Conley when he used to be headmaster at Bangor Christian Schools. Conley said the attorney general “laid down the gauntlet” for religious schools, but he said legal precedent favors the schools. Dave Carson, for his part, said his family won’t benefit from the ruling because his daughter is already a junior at Husson University. But he said he doesn’t think it’s right for the state to try to put up roadblocks.

“As long as it’s an accredited school, students should be able to go wherever they want to,” he said. “You’re teaching the basics. If you want to have a Bible class, too, then that’s a parent’s choice, not someone down in Augusta.” Bindas said the attorney general should undertake a “sober reflection” of how best to balance the rights of parents in the litigation versus the state’s anti-discrimination interests.

“It is possible to develop policies that respect the concerns of both advocates for LGBTQ rights and advocates for religious liberty, but only if elected officials are genuinely committed to that task,” he said.”

  15. EXCERPT: “A large Tennessee chicken processing plant has shut down suddenly, citing soaring costs amid record-high inflation. George’s Inc., one of the nation’s largest vertically integrated chicken producers, is closing down one of its plants in Campbell County.

The news came as a shock to employees and locals, with around 200 jobs being at risk over the move, WVLT-TV is reporting. The news comes as America is also facing unprecedented food shortages as the economy teeters on the brink of recession. Campbell County Mayor E.L Morton told WLVT-TV that he was working to ensure the plant would remain open, so the closure would not hurt employees’ livelihoods.

“I have contacted the Tennessee Economic and Community Development staff to request assistance in keeping the plant open or facilitating a sale to another operator,” Morton said. “I have requested Governor Lee’s assistance as well.” “My primary concern is for the welfare of the dedicated workers who have been the backbone of this operation,” Morton said. “Our prayers go out to them, as well as our very best efforts to keep them employed in Campbell County.”

George’s had purchased the plant from Oklahoma City-based Lopez Foods in 2017, according to TalkBusiness.”
