In honor of Caturday, I brought this puzzle/game I found in Games World of Puzzles April 2022 issue.

  5. ‘U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) announced that multiple, large pallets of bricks have been left out in Washington D.C. The bricks are located not far from the Supreme Court Building and House offices.”

    “@CapitolPolice, why are there 20 pallets of bricks one block from the House Office Buildings?” Boebert asked in a tweet.

    “The bricks laid out in downtown Washington D.C. reminded many of similar occurrences during the violent George Floyd riots in 2020. During the riots, pallets of bricks were routinely found along protest routes in a number of cities that suffered violent riots.

    In June 2020, police in St. Louis, Missouri identified pallets of bricks that were believed to be connected with riot activity. We have learned of & discovered stashes of bricks and rocks in & around the Plaza and Westport to be used during a riot,” announced the Kansas City Police Department on May 31, 2020. “If you see anything like this, you can text 911 and let us know so we can remove them. This keeps everyone safe and allows your voice to continue to be heard.”

  6. Entire Article: “Many conservatives across American remember vividly the campaign orchestrated by the Internal Revenue Service under Barack Obama to target conservative organizations. Article by Bob Unruh from our news partners at WND News Center.

    Those included many of the Tea Party groups, as well as many Christian organizations that shared a vision of fewer government burdens on their faith, and more. Their appropriately filed requests for IRS tax status were delayed, denied and sometimes just ignored, with Lois Lerner, then director of the Exempt Organizations Unit of the IRS, pushing much of the agenda.

    Now, years later, Americans apparently are going to discover what Lerner said in explaining the scheme. It is government watchdog Judicial Watch that has announced a court has ordered the release of Lerner’s testimony, along with that of Holly Paz, her top aide. The conservative organizations all were targeted just as Obama was running for his second term, and they wanted to be able to express opinions in opposition to the leftist president’s agenda.

    The ruling from the U.S. District Court Southern District of Ohio, Western Division, came in a case brought by NorCal Tea Party Patriots, and concerned the depositions from Lerner and Paz that were ordered sealed by a judge in 2017, after lawyers for the two claimed they were being threatened.

    Judicial Watch had joined the case with a friend-of-the-court brief supporting the request that the testimonies be revealed as they could “shed light on government misconduct … on the grounds that shielding internal government deliberations in this context does not serve the public’s interest in honest, effective government.”

    The lawsuit eventually was ended when the government reached a settlement that included $3.5 million in payments to the various groups. Judicial Watch reported, “In settling the case, the DOJ admitted the IRS abused its power and the criteria it used to screen applications for 501(c) status was inappropriate.”

    But the testimony has remain concealed, even though then-Attorney General Jeff Sessions said, “The IRS’ use of these criteria as a basis for heightened scrutiny was wrong and should never have occurred. It is improper for the IRS to single out groups for different treatment based on their names or ideological positions. Any entitlement to tax exemption should be based on the activities of the organization and whether they fulfill requirements of the law, not the policy positions adopted by members or the name chosen to reflect those views.”

    “Lois Lerner’s IRS was abused by Obama and his congressional allies to suppress the Tea Party movement and other opponents in the run-up to his reelection. This is how one steals an election in plain sight,” explained Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “The Obama IRS scandal was a run-through for the abuse of Trump in 2016 and beyond by Obama agencies and appointees. These depositions of Obama’s IRS officials will help Americans understand the continued clear and present danger of the IRS to our civil liberties.”

    Entire Article: “Flash star Ezra Miller is currently housing a 25-year-old woman and her three young children at the actor’s Vermont farm compound while accusations mount that the actor is sexually grooming young children.
    Rolling Stone reports that Miller’s farm has unsafe living conditions for children with sources “alleging there are weapons lying around and that a one-year-old put a loose bullet in her mouth.”

    The sources include the father of the children and two others who know of the situation but want to remain anonymous. According to People the children on the compound range in age from 1 to 5 years old. The father said, “I got a bad feeling in my stomach” about the kids being in proximity to Miller.

    Miller has been on the run from law enforcement after having been served two orders of protection. The first order of protection was served in North Dakota over Miller’s alleged grooming of a then 12-year-old child, Tokata Iron Eyes, who is now 18. The second order came down from a court in Greenfield, Massachusetts over the actor’s actions regarding a 12-year-old child and her family. Both cases were similar; Miller is a biological male who identifies as transgender non-binary and targeted young girls using the language of gender ideology.

    The anonymous sources claim that Miller’s Vermont compound is an unlicensed marijuana farm and that the actor is exposing the children to copious drug use. Previously the parents of Tokata Iron Eyes, the 18 year old whose parent allege Miller preyed upon at the age of 12, said Miller used LSD to groom their child. Guns are another consistent part of Miller’s modus operandi as the Massachusetts parents said when Miller was at their house the actor “opened up one side of their jacket” and “you could see a gun.”

    The mother of the three young girls told Rolling Stone that Miller had helped her escape a “violent and abusive ex” and helped her “have a safe environment” for her kids. The father has denied all abuse allegations and a domestic violence case against him was terminated in a Hawaii court where the couple lived before Miller entered the picture.

    “[Ezra’s] home ranch has been a healing haven for us,” the mother said, “They may have firearms for self-defense purposes and they are stored in a part of the house that the children never go in… My kids are able to relax more into their healing because of the safety and nurturing Ezra has been providing for them.”

    All three sources alleged that multiple guns were carelessly littered about the 96 acre compound. Video from Miller’s compound shows “at least eight assault weapons, rifles, and handguns lying around the living room, with some weapons propped up next to a pile of stuffed animals.”

    According to CosmicBookNews, DC films has axed Miller from any future comic book movies and his status as The Flash is in jeopardy concerning the mostly finished movie slated for release in 2023.”

  11. Altho I may not subscribe to it, I ask everyone to pray for my dear friend, Marilyn! Sassi-Gran-Doris was her beloved Mother. She is at peace with it altho news was put on FB before she even had a chance to tell her immediate family. Sassy-Gran would not have wanted to continue paralyzed as she was….my heart hurts for her but at the same time, she has one hell of a lot to be proud of in her amazing Mom! I tried to provide a link to the Instagram Rodney posted at M’s but it didn’t work. She died last night, sadly.

  14. Here’s another update on things happening with my family.

    I was misinformed about my daughter-in-law being discharged from the hospital. She could technically leave but apparently the staff are being kind & allowing Tara & Nathaniel to remain in the family birthing room w/ new baby Lilah. Periodically there are blood draws to test her (bilirubin?) level. It was rising more steeply, then minimally, & it was hoped she would be able to come home late Saturday, but not yet unfortunately.

    So far N has come home briefly to shower a couple times & get things for T & L. T’s mom is the only approved visitor so she stays when she can & this allowed N & T to even take a brief walk in the hospital area, possibly the first time T got to leave the room.

    The good news here is that the baby has Never been apart from at least one family member except immediately after birth when staff were cleaning & weighing her etc. This makes me hopeful that no “shenanigans” have been done to this precious newborn.

    One blessing is that N has been there throughout the process to assist & support T & care for L. L is sleeping a lot & has been given like 20ml of formula after T feeds her. Apparently T’s milk isn’t fully in & lactation consultants aren’t available on the weekends.

    When Lilah wasn’t allowed to come home last evening is was pretty hard on T & N asked for prayer for her again as she’s only getting minimal sleep, like maybe 3 hours in a night.

    We were blessed to see the baby via a video call that included 5/6 of us Currens (Brandon was out of town this weekend for another friend’s bachelor party, after he hosted his twin Josiah’s bachelor party last weekend at my parents’ cottage). Great grandma & grandpa have yet to interact w/ L & we’re supposed to all gather at the expanding family’s home (assuming they’re not too exhausted to see everyone) soon after they all Finally get home.

    Niece Ashley is finding travel to be with baby Easton difficult in her post-op state. According to N Easton has not yet eaten on his own, so I wonder if he’s only being gavage fed (like Josiah was, who developed significant “oral motor defensiveness” & had feeding issues for much of his childhood w/ an extremely hypersensitive gag reflex that I wondered if it was “created” by all the tubes down his throat). They still need prayer.

    I have no news about Ashley’s other grandma, Marilyn, who was rushed to the hospital via ambulance while A was in the birthing process. Please continue to lift this extended family to the Lord as He leads.

    On a “fun” note, some of the pictures of Lilah show her with a pretty serious scowl, which reminds us all of my hubby when he’s frustrated. Family heritage is a beautiful thing 😉
