I don’t know about you, but I love that first cup of coffee in the morning! The hot, bring-me-back-to-life liquid makes getting out of bed in the morning well worth it! No one, and I mean NO ONE makes a better cup of coffee than my husband. This is not up for debate.
That being said, I have often wondered what makes a great cup of coffee? Is it the beans, freshly ground? (Hubby’s does not use those.) Is it an expensive crap-o-chino machine? (Hubby uses a Mr. Coffeemaker.) I believe it’s the perfect blend of coffee beans and water (that perfect ratio IS apparently a HUGE secret…lol) AND atmosphere. The house is warm and cozy and the views are spectacular!

If i had to venture outside the house to buy a cup of coffee, what might i look for? A good name, I expect. Starbucks does not convey good coffee taste to me–nor does Dunkin Donuts–McDonald’s? forget about it! Okay, maybe atmosphere would be a better choice to lead me to that perfect cup!
So I went looking into Pennsylvania travel spots for recommendations on a great cup of coffee. What i found was so much more interesting! I present…The Coffee Pot of Bedford, PA!

This coffee pot really is giant. In fact, it’s 18 feet tall and 22 feet in diameter, making it big enough to hold over 800,000 cups of coffee! It was originally built in 1927 by David Koontz, a local gas station owner. He constructed the coffee pot of brick and metal sheeting to attract travelers along Route 30 (also known as the Lincoln Highway) to stop at his gas station.

When it was originally built, the Koontz Coffee Pot was used as a small restaurant. In 1937, it became a bar and was attached to a hotel. It also served as a bus stop, but, rather interestingly, it was never a coffee shop.
In the 1980s, the Bedford Coffee Pot was officially closed and, by the 1990s, it was in bad shape and was nearly torn down. Fortunately, the local community came together, along with the Lincoln Highway Heritage Corridor, to save this incredible roadside oddity.
In 2004, the Bedford Coffee Pot was moved across Route 30 to the entrance of the Bedford County Fairgrounds. And, over the years, it has been beautifully restored.
Sad though, never a coffee house. But what a gimmick!
Morning All!
I smell the hot coffee brewing as I type…smells delicious!
temps here are around 50* and looks like we had rain overnight…

well sure…government subsidies make anything look profitable…but “green” energy is not the panacea they promised
FTA
“One of the problems with this industry as a whole is that, since at its very foundation it is based on government subsidies and government mandates, its market value is never truly known,” Daniel Turner, the executive director of Power the Future, told the DCNF in an interview.
“It’s a big lie when the environmentalists say, ‘it’s cheap’ — we don’t know what it actually costs,” Turner continued. “It may be, I’m not denying it could be, but the fact is we don’t actually know what wind and solar cost.” (RELATED: Consumers Set To Get Crushed As Energy Utilities Switch To Solar, Wind)
The average price for renewable energy technology in North America increased an “astounding” 28.5% between early 2021 and early 2022, according to an April 13 report from renewable industry marketplace LevelTen Energy. Development costs, supply chain issues and market uncertainty are to blame for the setback even as demand for green energy climbed, the report added.
In addition, wind and solar project completions in the U.S. have plummeted over the last two years with the total investment value of such projects falling from $46.2 billion in 2019 to $7.5 billion in 2021, an Industrial Info Resources report published on April 21 showed. In that same time span, the number of wind and solar project completions has decreased from 240 to just 66, a 73% decline.
“Difficulty in obtaining financing, regulatory challenges, or a shortage of available capacity on the transmission grid are three longstanding challenges to getting renewable generation built,” Industrial Info Resources Vice President of Research for the Global Power Industry Britt Burt said in a statement.
“As long as these myriad headwinds persist, we can expect elevated [prices] across North America,” Gia Clark, a senior director at LevelTen Energy, said earlier in April.

Good morning y’all! Having my first cup of coffee at the office right now. I use a Mr. Coffee as well with 3 scoops of regular Folgers for a full pot. Drink coffee all day at work. Got most of our garden planted yesterday and saw the first hummer buzzing a bush near the kitchen porch. Thought we’d have more rain, but just a little yesterday morning.

Good morning, CM. Only 3 scoops!!??!! Goodness! I use at least 5 scoops! But, then, I drink almost as much creamer as coffee these days. Plus, with my Hamilton-Beach Brewmaster, I add water thru the day. The danged thing will only stay on for 4 hours and I have to add water to make it come on again – fricking safety feature! So I start out with one pot, then add water and grounds thru the day. I also still have a Mr. Coffee as back-up.

since shit-for-brains is allowing abortion pills to be sent thru the mail, costs are decreasing for the abortion industry–but profits are soaring. they no longer perform blood tests and ultrasounds prior–they do things telemed-ly putting the woman’s health at risk. accepting her best guess at her blood type and last menstral period puts her at increased risk for complications–but that almighty dollar is the prize, not women’s health! and they forgo the disposal cost for the aborted fetus–that falls on the sewer treatment plant now–just flush it into the sewer system…
FTA
The removal of a physical examination, ultrasound, or laboratory evaluation drastically decreases the financial cost to abortion businesses, so why is the sales price increasing rather than decreasing?
The National Abortion Federation’s (NAF) 2020 Clinical Policy Guidelines recommend foregoing Rh testing if the woman is less than 8 weeks pregnant — but how they will confirm this without accurate pregnancy dating is unclear. What is clear is that while this will save money for abortionists, it could be very costly for the woman undergoing the abortion.
According to Dr. Ingrid Skop, a Texas OB-GYN, “Evaluation of Rh status and provision of Rhogam, if indicated, has long been the standard of care for early pregnancy loss, including elective induced abortion. This action will prevent a mother from mounting an immune response to her future unborn children. If Rhogam is not given and isoimmunization occurs, 14% of untreated infants will be stillborn and half will suffer neonatal death or brain injury.”
Likewise, failing to rule out dangerous ectopic pregnancies can also be a savings to abortion businesses, but, according to Dr. Skop, “Ruling out pregnancy outside of the uterus through physical exam and ultrasound is critically important, because mifepristone has no effect on such a pregnancy, which can rupture, causing catastrophic bleeding or death.”

so these hearings are theater–we already knew that–but we now have proof
FTA
Memos made public under the Freedom of Information Act show Ossoff, a freshman Democrat, fed his planned questions and even suggested an answer to Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights Kristin Clarke ahead of two Senate Judiciary Committee hearings last fall.
“Please let me know if you think AAG Clarke would have any trouble answering those (as in, whether it’d be hard for her to give a straight ‘yes’ to those and I can redirect them to someone on the second panel),” Ossoff’s general counsel Sara Schaumburg wrote to Deputy Assistant Attorney General Helaine A. Greenfeld in the department’s Office of Legislative Affairs ahead of the first hearing in early October 2021.
A few weeks later as a second hearing was approaching involving Attorney General Merrick Garland, Schaumberg sent another email with more questions and seemingly asked for permission to ask them.
“He obviously won’t get to all of these but sharing the full draft universe just in case,” the Ossoff aide wrote on Oct. 25, 2021. “Please let me know if anything causes heartburn. I’m particularly curious if you think the phrasing of the second Voting Rights windup/question could be unhelpful in any way.”

I did drink decaf for a long time after my ob-gyn told me caffeine contributes to fibrocystic lumps in the breasts, which I had. It wasn’t until after menopause that they went away and I stopped buying decaf.

Hmmm….speculation about Putin’s health….
EXCERPT: “The Sun’s report is the first that states that Putin’s ill health isn’t a matter of guesswork. It is, instead, confirmed:
‘VLADIMIR Putin is set to undergo an operation for cancer and will hand over power to his hardline spy chief, a Kremlin insider has reportedly claimed. The Russian tyrant’s health has been source of considerable speculation amid reports that he is battling both abdominal cancer and Parkinson’s Disease. But now it has been reported that 69-year-old Putin could soon vanish as he goes under the knife, with power transferred to Nikolai Patrushev. Shadowy Patrushev, 70, is seen as a key architect of the Ukraine war strategy and the man who convinced Putin that Kyiv was awash with neo-Nazis.
The claim was reported on Russian media outlet General SVR, which first raised issues of Putin’s health around 18-months ago. They quote an anonymous former high-ranking Kremlin military figure as saying: “Putin has discussed that he will be undergoing medical procedures.’
As I understand it, it’s not just steroids that may be responsible for someone becoming irrationally aggressive. Parkinson’s disease can cause people to lose impulse control and some people even become psychotic.
Currently, there’s a lot of speculation about Putin’s health but there are few facts. We’re certainly seeing extreme physical changes in him. Moreover, his decisions, even accepting his fear of NATO and long-term designs on eastern Ukraine, have seemed to be irrational from a man famed for cold calculation. I’m not expecting Putin’s funeral any time soon, though. I remember that Fidel Castro lived several years after rumors about his illness and death started circulating.”

EXCERPT: “Even over at Fox News, they indulge in the fantasy. On their estrogen-fueled morning show, Outnumbered, Emily Compagno speaks of Will “Lia” Thomas, saying that “she is the first transgender athlete to be crowned NCAA champion,” but that “critics say that she has an unfair physical advantage.” Enablers of his delusion abound.
There are also those who suffer as a result of Will Thomas’s delusions. Namely, those women who are excluded from titles in their rightful field of competition because, quoting Rivka Galchen, one person’s “power move” of “eccentricity coerces others into serving” that individual’s preferred fantasy. The victims of this particular delusion are clearly defined. Virginia’s Emma Weyant won silver in the Tokyo Olympics last year, but she and her university were denied their rightful championship in the event that Will Thomas won. Reka Gyorgy of Virginia Tech placed 17th in her final NCAA performance of the event — one spot away from an opportunity to swim in the finals because the top spot was occupied by a man pretending to be a woman.
The “Lia” Thomas saga is a high-profile embodiment of transgenderism, which is, as an ideology, no less a fantasy to us “normal” people than an old man pretending to be a powerful knight would be for early seventeenth-century Spaniards. And it’s nowhere closer to being a convincing fantasy. But making this fantasy a convincing substitute for reality for you, as an onlooker, is not the point. The point is that you will accept this large-scale indulgence in a ridiculous fantasy as a substitute for our reality despite your knowing, quite well, that what you’re being forced to acknowledge as truth is, in fact, the furthest thing from the truth.
That is the endpoint which the pushers of transgender madness seek: compliance with lies. There is immense satisfaction to be had in your coerced submission to, and acceptance of, their lies.”

EXCERPT: “Rabbi Michael Barclay began his article at PJ Media Saturday with this scenario, that grabbed my attention:
‘A criminal is wrongfully killed, and “peaceful demonstrations,” which are actually violent riots, break out nationwide. The flag of a radical and violent group is placed next to the national flag on government buildings. Out of fear of being canceled and losing business, individuals and corporations succumb to publicly supporting this violent organization. Mandated behavior is compelled upon threat of arrest by the political elite and leadership. Despite objections from parents, schools begin teaching an alternative “history” and embrace prejudice, anti-Semitism, and sexual permissiveness as part of the school curriculum.
A President overreaches and takes on “emergency powers,” which create an authoritarian regime that demands supportive behavior and calls any criticism “disinformation.” A new agency of the government is created to “fight this disinformation”… an agency that even has access to armed personnel. This new agency is led by a fanatic who is arguably delusional in their own self-perception and fully committed to stopping the dissemination of any information that is not part of the authoritarian narrative. And through it all the media is a willing accomplice, even striking against other media outlets that try to present opposing views.’
Obviously, this sounds like a narrative of America since George Floyd’s death in police custody in Minneapolis. But Rabbi Barclay explains that it is actually a narrative of the development of the Nazi regime in Germany, where Horst Wessel’s death was used the same way career criminal George Floyd’s was. He explains this more completely in his essay, which I urge you to read in full.”

From PJ Media article: “But the latest actions of the DHS and Biden administration in the creation of the Disinformation Governance Board is an even more frightening step towards the fascism of the Nazis a century ago. It is almost identical in purpose and presentation to Joseph Goebbels’ Nazi Ministry of Propaganda and Public Enlightenment, which Goebbels originally wanted to call “The Ministry of Culture and Public Enlightenment”. Its purpose in the Nazi regime was to ensure that all media and education were controlled by the Nazi state, and it had the full support of the Nazi government to enforce its control.
There is nearly no difference between what the Biden administration and Mayorkas are creating and the Nazi agency that was run by Goebbels. The only difference is that Goebbels was an evil genius, and the proposed head of this new agency, Nina Jankowicz, is simply a self serving tool for her masters who has publicly asked the question of “who she has to f*** to be famous and powerful” and posted multiple videos of herself seeking attention. If there’s any comfort to be found here, it may be that she is a failed theater actress without the calculating brilliance of Goebbels.
As a Rabbi, I have always enjoined all people to be extremely careful about ever making any comparison of modern times with the true evil of Hitler, Goebbels, and Nazi Germany. But even the kind-hearted and compassionate person who always wants to see the best in people (a category in which I include myself) must now recognize these parallels and choose to become active in preventing the Nazis of today, known as “progressive Democrats,” from their quest for total power.”

EXCERPT: “In the last three years, political operative Jason Belton joined a billionaire Democrat’s presidential campaign, became a campaign manager for a U.S. Senate race, and won election to a South Carolina Democratic Party leadership position—all while under federal indictment for trafficking nearly nine pounds of cocaine.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Belton and a co-conspirator in February 2017 contacted a drug source in California to request large quantities of cocaine, which they planned to distribute out of Columbia, S.C. Days later, the indictment states, Belton accepted a package containing four kilograms of coke from San Bernardino drug dealer Estevan Ortiz, who is also known as “Stevie,” “Wonder,” and “Little Man.”
Federal agents went on to arrest Belton in South Carolina in January 2018. As the case progressed, however, Belton became implicated in a nationwide drug trafficking ring that federal authorities busted in 2020 following a three-year investigation. Belton’s California connects were caught with 77 kilograms of cocaine, 9 kilograms of heroin, 150 pounds of methamphetamine, 989 fentanyl pills, 19 guns, and nearly $2 million in cash, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said in a January 2020 press release. Following the bust, federal prosecutors moved Belton’s case to the Golden State, where it remains active.
But Belton’s apparent criminality has done little to deter his career—in fact, the operative’s political sphere expanded significantly after his arrest. In August 2019, Belton joined liberal billionaire Tom Steyer’s presidential campaign as its deputy political director, a gig that earned him more than $40,000 over a six-months period. After Steyer left the race in February 2020, Belton cofounded a political consulting firm, C&J Consulting, which boasts at least one client: Democratic South Carolina state legislator Krystle Matthews, who is challenging Republican senator Tim Scott. Belton, who in January was elected the third chair of the South Carolina Democratic Party Black Caucus, has described himself as Matthews’s campaign manager.
Belton’s political work did overlap with his criminal indictment in one instance. In March 2020, Belton successfully persuaded the court to remove his GPS ankle monitor because he said it interfered with his work as a “lobbyist.”
“Belton now wishes to eliminate the GPS location monitoring condition which requires him to wear an electronic ankle bracelet,” Belton’s attorney wrote in a court filing. “Belton has advised me that he is a lobbyist and the electronic ankle bracelet presents a problem for him with security on his frequent entries into the State House in Columbia, South Carolina.”
Belton and the South Carolina Democratic Party did not return requests for comment.”

ROFL – “This is Joe Biden’s nut house. We’re just living in it!”
Entire article @ FB: “When we first heard Alejandro Mayorkas announce a Department of Homeland Security “Disinformation Governance Board,” we thought he was trolling. Then he said Nina Jankowicz, best known as TikTok’s “Mary Poppins of Disinformation,” would head it. LOL, as the kids say. Right out of the gate, Jankowicz trumpeted her “committment [sic] to protecting free speech.”
Apparently Mayorkas is serious, and the administration is rolling out Jankowicz, author of the new book “How to Be a Woman Online,” as a “renowned expert in the field of disinformation.” That’s true, though she’s more a practitioner of the craft than an expert in combating it. Jankowicz condemned the New York Post’s reporting on Hunter Biden’s laptop as a “Russian influence op” and fanned the bogus claim that the Steele dossier began as a “Republican opposition research project.” These are fine examples of Democrats, as Washington Free Beacon man of the year Matt Yglesias explained in a recent analysis, using the “disinformation” charge as a scapegoat for losing voters.
As for her commitment to unfettered speech, Jankowicz told her friends at National Public Radio last month that she “shudder[s]” to think about a scenario in which “free speech absolutists were taking over more platforms” and bemoaned so-called “awful but lawful content.” The solution? “Law enforcement and our legislatures,” she said, must “do more.”
Mayorkas, meanwhile, is busy tamping down the concerns of proles like us that the Nurse Ratched of disinformation will have any power. “The board does not have any operational authority or capability,” he told CNN’s Dana Bash. “What it will do is gather together best practices of addressing the threat of disinformation from foreign state adversaries, from the cartels, and disseminate those practices to the operators that have been executing and addressing this threat for years.” Sounds like disinformation to us.
The administration dispenses Orwellian lies on a daily basis. We may be in a recession, but that’s just masking a broader recovery! That $3.5 trillion spending bill actually costs zero dollars! And, per Mayorkas jawboning on another topic on Sunday, the administration has done a fine job managing a ballooning crisis on the southern border.
This is Joe Biden’s nut house. We’re just living in it.”

Entire article @ FB: “President Joe Biden promised he and Vice President Kamala Harris would have a weekly working lunch at which they could hammer out policy points and “build out an agenda.” Biden and Harris have only had two lunches together this year, RealClearPolitics reported Thursday.
As vice president, Biden had weekly lunches with Barack Obama, which he found “so important … that he carried over the tradition to his own presidency.” Biden said soon after he took office that he “made the same deal with [Harris] that Barack and I made.”
That deal has not worked out as Biden planned. This year saw only two Biden-Harris lunches: on February 8, as Biden was deciding on a Supreme Court nominee, and on March 30, after Biden’s gaffe-packed trip to Warsaw in light of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
While the White House told RealClearPolitics the lunches “are not the ultimate barometer of cooperation” between the president and vice president, other reporting indicates that Biden and Harris have a rocky relationship.
The few lunches Biden and Harris did have “lacked a real depth of personal and political intimacy,” Jonathan Martin and Alex Burns wrote in their forthcoming book This Will Not Pass. The book also reported that first lady Jill Biden blasted Harris on the campaign trail, saying, “There are millions of people in the United States. Why do we have to choose the one who attacked Joe?”
Harris, who has received four doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday. The White House issued a report saying the vice president “has not been a close contact to the president or first lady.”

EXCERPTS: “We need to do everything we can to ensure that the Crustacean-in-Chief folds to the left again and decides to pay-off his constituency of affluent, sexually dysfunctional college loan debtors – throw us in that briar patch, you desiccated old pervert! Now, you may be confused if you watched my Townhall VIP “Stream of Kurtiousness” video last Friday expressing, in an unrelenting stream of naughty words, how infuriating it would be to reward dumb people at the expense of people who were not dumb. But we cannot be carried away with emotion. This is a golden opportunity to raze academia as currently constituted and sow the campuses with salt.
That most of the deadbeats who want you to pay their bills won’t be able to figure out that reference is itself sufficient reason to consign academia to oblivion.
————————
The government offered money and the schools raised the prices – no one is more of a capitalist than a collegiate communist.
Now, morally we should make the stupid students pay back every red cent that they foolishly borrowed. But the Democrats want to pay off their graduate constituents – weird how suckers and dummies are always Democrat constituents – and “cancel college debt.” Let’s leave aside the first problem, that the Constitution does not provide the alleged president with a magic wand to make people’s private bills disappear. For one thing, that seemingly dispositive fact might not matter. How do you stop him? Sue? Who sues? Who has standing to sue? Maybe someone who spent good money on law school could tell you. Regardless, even if we can’t stop this, we might not want to.
I mean, if Brian Stelter, who is a potato, was walking footloose and fancy free toward a bunch of hungry Irishmen, would you yell “Yo Tater, watch out for the micks!” or would you pull up a chair and a bag of popcorn and watch the fun begin.
————————-
People will be livid, and they will be calling for reform. Oh, and we should be all for reform. We should reform academia from a commie conformity machine into something at least marginally useful to society. As Elon Musk recently pointed out, you can get all the hard knowledge you would ever get in college online for free. The argument for college is that you get intangible educational experiences, like arguing about Plato with a world renown professor under an oak tree in the quad. But that’s not a thing. Instead, you sit in a lecture hall with a thousand other saps listening to some pony-tailed grad student demand you respect xis pronouns.
Most of the other intangible experiences include waking up wearing someone else’s pants and needing Advil and a shower.
As a society, we need to stop paying for that. We need to move to a system that does not take you out of society for four to eight years, depending on your degrees, and instead focuses on imparting the knowledge you need for your chosen profession. And we need to ensure everyone has skin in the game except those of us with no investment in a particular student’s future. If the young scholar wants to take a loan, fine. We – the government – are out of it. Make it eligible for discharge in bankruptcy. Of course, lenders will then care about their investment since We the People are no longer cosigning. So, that young scholar will have to justify why The First National Bank of Savings and Loans should risk its dough on a Maori Patriarchy Painting major’s future earnings.
————————–
We need to use the righteous fury that will ensue in response to the total moral abortion that is canceling student loan debt. We might not be able to stop President Worsethancarter, but we can take this huge political error and make something out of it that doesn’t suck. We can use it to pop the political pimple that is academia.”

Holy shit!!! Look how much $$$ the US has poured into Ukraine!!!!!
Most of article: “The typical U.S. reaction to losing is to double down. This can be done financially:
Jack Detsch @JackDetsch – 19:25 UTC · Apr 28, 2022
DATA: A cumulative total of U.S. military aid to Ukraine since Russia’s Feb. 24 invasion.
February 25: $350m
March 12: $550m
March 16: $1.35b
April 1: $1.65b
April 5: $1.75b
April 13: $2.55b
April 21: $3.35b
April 24: $3.67b
April 28: $14.67b (if approved by Congress)
Most of above sums will go the U.S. arms industry to deliver weapons for which the Ukraine has little use or which never will reach the frontline. The rest will be pilfered by Ukrainian oligarchs. That financial doubling down will not be very effective.
There is also the possibility of doubling down by widening the war. This could be in Bosnia where attacks on the Serbian population could drag the Russian ally Serbia into another war. An additional war could also be created in Transnistria (marked as a lengthy strip on the left of the above maps). This could involve not only forces from the Ukraine but also from Moldova, Romania and Poland. In the early 1990s a small war between Moldova and the Russian population in Transnistria ended in 1992 with a ceasefire and Russian peacekeeper troops on the ground.

In a piece about Biden’s new pledge of money to Ukraine the NYT notes:
The Ukrainian military said it was moving more troops to the border with Transnistria, a small breakaway region in Moldova, on Ukraine’s southwest flank, hundreds of miles from the fighting on the eastern front.”
—————–
Ukraine is a victim here but not a victim of Russia but of much bigger plans in the U.S. which did its best to instigate this war (recommended).
As Michael Hudson explains (vid), the economic consequences of this war will be catastrophic for many countries and people. But the neocons who are running the war do not care about those. They have a plan to profit from it. They want to stay the unipolar power of the globe. To them it is a game and their main motives include an ingrained hatred towards Russia.”

when i was working at the factory during the day, I got a part time job at nights and weekends at Roy Rogers. I was just a cashier at first–and I remember at our grand opening I was working the dining room. I kept the tables clean, the “fixins” bar stocked and helping anyone out there. This older couple sat at the last available large table–and I saw several families in line that really needed the larger table. I approached the older couple and politely asked if they could do me a favor and move to a nearby table for 2. I saw the look on the man’s face and thought–oh boy–he’s gonna give my manager a piece of his mind about me.
they did graciously move and I thanked them and moved on to other customers.
when my shift ended, the manager pulled me aside. I thought i was gonna be fired, but he handed me a crew captain pin.
those people were his parents! and they told him i was so polite and apologetic, they didn’t mind moving one bit.

In the puzzle below, change the first letter of each word on either side of the blank to make a new word. Use the same letter for both words on one line. Write that letter on the blank. When all the letters are filled in, reading down, you will have a new word.

I’m seeing robins and of course the blackbirds and starlings, turtle doves but no hummers or orioles yet. It’s still cold – only 49 and dreary…..no wind and for that, I am thankful!

If you are a grown up or what passes for one now a days and you want to be a boy go for it. Stop trying to push it onto others or children.

No, Hitler wasn’t Jewish, despite what the Kremlin is saying to justify its invasion of Ukraine—- Ummmm dear MSM how do you know? Its always been speculated that his father was an out of wedlock child and that the father was Jewish. The fact that one can not even talk about this or ask a question tells me how much you value ‘free speech’

Greyhound dog racing appears close to ending in United States

I mean those dogs can run. If the dog loves it and is looked after no issue. Its the bad seeds the destroy it for all

That’s what I was wondering.
Filly question do you think they should drop horse racing as well?
LikeLiked by 2 people
No, I don’t, Kea. Dogs have to have a rabbit to chase – not so with horses. They are bred to run and the bad trainers and owners should be watched more closely. Jockeys who are unnecessarily vicious with the whip won’t get a lot of rides. I went to a dog race one time and one time only – I vowed never to go again. The way those dogs are treated is FAR worse than any Thoroughbred, believe me!!!! They are literally raised in cages their entire life whereas horses are even provided with stall mates if needed. Big difference!

Thanks for that. That was my thought as well

Rescuing greyhounds can be intensive. They don’t even know what water is and will walk right out into a swimming pool, not realizing they will sink. They have to be taught the simplest things since they have no experience with anything but their cages and the tracks, either races or the training tracks.
