Frog Facts
One of the smallest frogs is called a spring peeper. It’s maximum length is 1 1/2 inches and males make a chirping, cricket-like sound in spring mating season.

The Goliath Frog, found only in Western Africa, reaches about a foot in length and constructs its own ponds for its tadpoles to grow in.

Wood Frogs, found in Northeast America and Alaska can survive below freezing temperatures in which up to 65% of their bodies turn to ice! In the winter, the Wood Frog’s body freezes and its heart stops beating. They also stop breathing and remain in this state until spring.

Frogs in general do not drink water, they absorb it! They have almost 180 degree vision and cannot eat and keep their eyes open at the same time! And most frogs have teeth!

One last interesting thing about frogs…a group of frogs is called an army.

Morning All!
Darn raccoons attacked the one hummer feeder we had out…emptying it by tilting it to get the nectar to flow out…the deck is a mess…dang it! time to set traps again!

1.2 MILLION illegals have had their day in court and a judge rules them to be deported, BUT mayorkas thinks we need reform of the law so they can stay…IMPEACH THIS ASSWIPE!!! He is ignoring the law he swore to uphold
FTA
1.2 million people are un-detained, free, roaming about the country,” Gaetz began. “They’ve gone before a judge. A judge has issued a final order of removal. How many ICE agents do you need to deport them?”
Mayorkas repeatedly indicated during the heated four-hour hearing that Congress needed to pass immigration reform to help correct the ongoing border crisis. In response to Gaetz’s question, Mayorkas repeated that message, saying, “Congressman, I think what we need is legislation to fix a broken immigration system—”
ICE, however, does not rely on Congress to carry out deportations of those who have gone before a judge and received final orders of removal, Gaetz noted, re-asking if Mayorkas planned to remove the 1.2 million.
Mayorkas did not answer the question and instead indicated “resources” were impeding his ability to carry out deportations.
Gaetz then asked, “How much money do you need to deport all of them? How much money? How many agents to deport the 1.2 million who a judge has said have no right to be here?”
Mayorkas replied, “Congressman, there are a number of questions that your question raises with respect to whether all of those individuals actually have been given due process—”
Gaetz interrupted the border chief to correct him, saying, “No, no, no, they have. These are the people who have had their due process, ok? And here’s the point. You have no plan to remove them. You don’t know how many ICE agents it would take and you don’t know how much money it would take because you actually don’t want to remove them.”

Good morning y’all! I remember when I was a teen working at a local pet store. We had these fist sized frogs from South America called Pac-Man frogs. We fed them live gold fish dipped in a vitamin powder. One day when feeding one of the Pac-Mans, it got so excited to eat that it took the fish and down to the knuckle on the end of my index finger! They have a tooth ridge that is pretty sharp.

I did! During the few months I had to wait for my enlistment date, after I came back to NE from CO, I worked at the Columbus racetrack filming the races from a 60 foot tower and was living with the guy who was running it, David – friends with benefits kind of thing. He was from Louisiana – traveled from track to track – and I went down to visit him after I was assigned at the Pentagon and could take some leave.
He took me to one of those proverbial “Captain Jack” kind of places on a bayou somewhere…..it was interesting.
Now that is a story – how my ex showed up out of the blue from CO, suddenly appearing on the ground at the base of the tower!!!! We had been divorced for a year and a half but he wanted to get back together…..yeah, that’s one to be written under a pseudonym!!!!

Indiana AG files a suit against blm for failing to provide financial documents requested. read the bullshit the previous leader tries to hide behind–the irs form is “triggering”; the nonprofit structure is “not safe” and being “weaponized” against them…what utter CRAP!
FTA
Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita filed a lawsuit this week against a national Black Lives Matter charity for failing to fork over information about its finances.
The lawsuit is part of an investigation Rokita launched against the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation in February that is seeking to determine whether the embattled charity violated Indiana state law by deceiving donors and misapplying its assets.
“Protecting Indiana consumers from this house of cards is critical,” Rokita said in a statement Thursday. “There are concerning patterns of behavior from this organization, and we will do what it takes — including this lawsuit — to get to the bottom of it.”
The foundation claimed to have raised $90 million in 2020 in the aftermath of George Floyd’s killing, but the charity has yet to file an IRS Form 990 disclosing what it did with the funds. The charity was exposed in early April for trying to conceal its cash purchase of a $6 million Los Angeles mansion with donor funds in October 2020, which a watchdog group alleged could be a violation of IRS charity laws.
The Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation has also yet to announce publicly who has been in charge of the charity since its co-founder Patrisse Cullors resigned in May 2021 amid the scrutiny of her own real estate purchases. However, the group did disclose in filings to California and New Mexico in February that Bill and Hillary Clinton insider Minyon Moore and the law firm run by Democratic lawyer Marc Elias had taken up key roles with the charity.
And in February, the foundation shut off its ability to raise funds amid legal threats from California and Washington over its lack of financial and operational transparency.
I filed a lawsuit against the Black Lives Matter organization to protect Hoosiers from this house of cards. BLM has concerning patterns of behavior & we’ll do what it takes to get to the bottom of it on behalf of generous Hoosiers who have donated to them.https://t.co/5U2lJtU7cO
— Todd Rokita (@AGToddRokita) April 28, 2022
Rokita sent a civil investigative demand to the charity on Feb. 23 that requested the charity to disclose all of the property it owns in Indiana, as well as produce a general ledger showing all payments and the recipients of those payments that the charity has made since January 2020.
The foundation did not respond by Rokita’s March 25 deadline, he said in his lawsuit Tuesday. The attorney general’s lawsuit requested state courts to compel the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation to comply with his records request.
“There are many Indiana stakeholders and donors who have been impacted by these allegations. This lawsuit will allow for a court to swiftly and efficiently resolve the state’s request for information,” Rokita said.
He added that the foundation could be barred from future fundraising in Indiana if the charity fails to comply with his demand.
Cullors, who was in control of the foundation while it raked in $90 million in 2020 and spent $6 million on its Los Angeles mansion, said during an event in early April that she finds it “triggering” whenever she hears terms such as IRS Form 990, which is the document charities are required to disclose to the public detailing their financial activities.
She added that activists suffer trauma and their lives are put at risk when their charities are required to disclose publicly what they did with their tax-deductible donations.
“This doesn’t seem safe for us, this 990 structure — this nonprofit system structure,” Cullors said. “This is, like, deeply unsafe. This is being literally weaponized against us, against the people we work with.”

EXCERPT: “Caitlyn Jenner believes that UPenn swimmer Lia Thomas is “one of the worst things to happen to the trans community.”
Lia Thomas, a man living as a woman, rose to prominence over this past year after picking up victory after victory against other women to become one of the top swimmers in the world. At the NCAA championships, Thomas, who previously ranked 462nd among male swimmers, beat out not just one but two Olympic silver medalists. Despite the obvious, media personalities praised Thomas as a courageous figure boldly standing up against the heteronormative hierarchy. An NBC op-ed even went as far as to compare Thomas with the great Jackie Robinson – the first black man to play professional baseball.
Speaking with Piers Morgan on his new show Piers Morgan Uncensored, Jenner said flatly that “Lia Thomas is one of the worst things that happened to the trans community because it’s such bad publicity.
“I’ve met so many wonderful trans people, doing so many wonderful things, living their life authentically,” Jenner told Piers. Jenner hoped that Lia Thomas would leave the public eye for a while after graduating college this year.”

Entire article @ BB: “A lawsuit alleges a 15-year-old boy committed suicide after he was bullied by a false rumor regarding his vaccination status. Filed Monday by the boy’s parents, the lawsuit alleges administrators for the Latin School of Chicago committed “wilful failure” to prevent the incessant bullying against 10th grader Nate Bronstein.
Though Bronstein had actually been vaccinated against the coronavirus, the lawsuit claims the bullying against him was relentless as a rumor spread branding him unvaccinated. Bronstein reportedly transferred to the school amid the pandemic due to the in-person learning.
Several employees and parents of the alleged bullies are defendants in the lawsuit, according to the New York Post.
“The boy’s parents, Robert and Rosellene Bronstein, even reached out to the other student’s family about the constant badgering, the suit claims,” noted the Post. “But the harassment only worsened — with Nate being told by a teacher in class that he was going ‘nowhere in life,’ according to the lawsuit.”
“The teen was also cyberbullied on Snapchat, where another student urged him to kill himself in mid-December, the suit claims,” it added.
Though Nate had met with a school administrator, the students involved were not disciplined for their cyberbullying. When Nate’s mother contacted a school counselor about the problem, they reportedly dismissed her concerns as “family issues.” His mother reportedly contacted the school 30 times between the months of October and November, but administrators turned a “blind eye,” the lawsuit alleges.
Within a month of the cyberbullying incident in which a student allegedly urged Nathan to kill himself, his father found him hanging from a noose in the shower. According to his mother, Rosellene Bronstein, the parents did not know Nathan had requested a meeting with the school’s dean over the Snapchat bullying.
“We would have known, and we would have protected him, and he’d still be here today,” she told CBS Chicago.
Latin School of Chicago has dismissed the allegations as “unfounded claims.” “Our hearts go out to the family, and we wish them healing and peace,” the statement read. “With respect to their lawsuit, however, the allegations of wrongdoing by the school officials are inaccurate and misplaced. The school’s faculty and staff are compassionate people who put students’ interests first, as they did in this instance.”

Whoa! I’d say this lawsuit has a TON of merit!!!!
From NYP: “Rosellene Bronstein had also contacted a counselor about the bullying, saying she feared her son may hurt himself, but the school downplayed her concerns as “family issues,” the lawsuit claims.
Nate’s mother contacted the school more than 30 times in October and November alone, but administrators allegedly turned a “blind eye” to the family’s pleas for help. The teen also reported the bullying to a school dean, but was disregarded, according to the lawsuit.”

Entire article @ BB: “Eighteen-year-old Noble Rasmussen is a senior at Millard North High School in Omaha, Nebraska, and has accomplished so much through hard work, including getting accepted to all five U.S. military academies.
“My friends and teachers have always known I’ve been a hard charger in my academic life at school, just getting things done as early as I can and just so I can have as highest grade as I can,” he said recently, according to KMTV. He was named “Noble” for a reason, Cheri Rasmussen, his mother, explained. She added that “He was a very disciplined young student from elementary to middle school to high school. I mean, homework and academics always came first before he went out and had fun with his friends.”
Thanks to his diligence, Noble was accepted into all five U.S. military academies: West Point, the Naval Academy, the Coast Guard Academy, the Merchant Marine Academy, and the Air Force Academy. Now, his accomplishments will send him into the Air Force, where Noble received a “full ride” scholarship, as KMTV noted. The United States Air Force Academy’s website said it produces the country’s “best leaders of character.”
“From the application process, to the first day of Basic Cadet Training, to final exams, the Academy seeks out and trains cadets to adhere to qualities of moral excellence,” the site read.
In a social media post on Tuesday, Congressman Don Bacon expressed his excitement for Noble, describing his accomplishment as “very rare,” then adding, “I’m even more thrilled he picked the Air Force Academy.” Rep. Bacon (R-NE) himself served in the U.S. Air Force, where he rose to brigadier general and wing commander. After getting his private pilot license in a Cessna 172, Noble said he enjoyed being in the air and would prefer it to being on a boat or with the army.
According to the young man’s parents, his academic, athletic, and leadership skills helped him become an ideal candidate for the programs. “All those things put together has been the package that the academies have been wanting, so we’re real proud of him,” Kirk Rasmussen, his father, commented.”

donuts in dc are $57 a dozen????
entire article
D.C. donuts are $57 a dozen
Hey, flyoverland. Inflation is devastating D.C. What are you going to do to help the poor people of Washington?
Axios reported, “A passion fruit donut at the downtown hotspot was $4.25 back in February, according to its website, and is $4.75 now. The bakery has been upfront with its customers about price increases due to more expensive ingredients.”
That’s $57 a dozen, up from $51 a dozen just two months ago.
At $39.99, a dozen long-stemmed roses are cheaper.
Everything is going up in the City That Never Sleeps Works.
The story said, “Paige’s build-your-own salad order with blackened chicken cost her $10.95 last fall, and this week the same order at the same location was $11.95.”
Oh the pain. As salad prices rise, vegans might have to switch back to hamburgers.
And, “Bambini: The popular Spanish immersion D.C.-based daycare raised tuition from $2,700 a month in 2021, according to its website, to $2,800 a month in 2022 for infants.”
Well, the staff does have to pay more for donuts.
And, “VIDA Fitness: An unlimited membership at the gyms went from $179 a month in August 2021, according to its website, to $189 a month now.”
If donut prices keep rising, you won’t need a gym because you will have to stop eating donuts.
And, “Swing’s Coffee: The local coffee roaster’s 12-ounce bag of Espresso 90 went from $13 in June, according to its website, to $14 now.”
That coffee costs more than a buck an ounce. What is this stuff? Laced with coke?
We rubes in flyoverland just do not get the suffering in D.C. How could we? Donuts are $9.99 a dozen at Dunkin.
How did we get here?
How did we go from 1.4% annual inflation in Trump’s last month to 8.5% last month under Biden?
Matt Agorist of the Freedom Project dares to blame D.C. for its $57 a dozen donuts.
He wrote, “80% of All US Dollars in Existence Have Been Printed in Just the Last Two Years.”
Well, yes, we need all that extra money to keep up with inflation.
Oh.
D.C. did this because it is run by a combination of morons and cowards who refuse to stop the morons.
The box of $57 a dozen donuts says, “You deserve this.”
Indeed, they do.

Medical Examiner Says Former Missouri State Rep. Cora Walker Died from Heart Disease
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2022/04/medical-examiner-rules-former-missouri-state-rep-cora-walker-died-heart-disease/
Lets think….
Cora Faith Walker, 37, died unexpectedly early morning
According to St. Louis Medical Examiner who conducted an autopsy last month, “There were no physical injuries or signs of trauma to the body.”
On Wednesday, medical examiner Dr. Michael Graham said that Walker died of a heart condition, specifically nonischemic cardiomyopathy (NCBI).
“It’s a disease of the heart muscle,” Graham said. “It usually affects older people with high blood pressure, but she did not have high blood pressure.
“We don’t know why some people develop it. Hers was a fairly mild form. It essentially short-circuited the electrical system in her heart, causing an arrhythmia and she dropped over. We don’t normally think about people dropping over dead, and it is fairly unusual, but it’s not an usual age for the presentation of this condition.”
“If there was, I would have called this alcoholic heart disease, or cocaine heart disease,” he said. “But there was no evidence of that.”

How to Prevent the Next Pandemic
by Bill Gates
The COVID-19 pandemic isn’t over. But even as governments around the world try to get it under control, they’re also starting to talk about what happens next. How can we prevent another pandemic from killing millions of people and devastating the global economy? Can we even hope to accomplish this?
Bill Gates believes the answer is yes, and he has written a largely upbeat book that lays out clearly and convincingly what the world should learn from COVID-19, explains the science of fighting pandemics, and suggests what all of us can do to help prevent another one.

Entire article @ BB: “A Member of Parliament accused of watching pornography inside the Westminster Parliament Commons’ chamber has been named, ending days of speculation on the matter after claims emerged earlier this week.
Neil Parish, who represents the rural Tiverton and Honiton constituency and is himself a farmer, has been kicked out of the Conservative party after being named as the Member of Parliament accused of watching pornography during a House of Commons debate.
Parish has, in the parlance of Parliament, had the ‘whip suspended’, meaning he has been temporarily suspended from the governing Conservative’s parliamentary grouping. Depending on the outcome of an investigation he could be re-instated at a later date, decide to continue sitting as an independent member of parliament, or resign his seat. In some circumstances, the Parliamentary standards commissioner could expel Parish from Parliament, or his constituents could trigger a recall petition.
A spokesman for the Government’s chief whip Chris Heaton-Harris — the office responsible for discipline among party members in Parliament — said, per a report from The Daily Telegraph: “Having spoken to the Chief Whip this afternoon, Neil Parish MP is reporting himself to the Standards Committee of the House of Commons. Mr Parish has been suspended from the Conservative whip pending the outcome of that investigation.”
Earlier this week, it was reported two female Members of Parliament had reported a man for watching pornography in the Commons debating chamber. Opposition parties have called on Parish to resign since his name was revealed and have accused the government of attempting to cover up his identity. Prime Minister Boris Johnson had said the act was “obviously unacceptable” earlier this week.”

“WASHINGTON, D.C.—The Department of Homeland Security has formed the Disinformation Governance Board to bravely combat incorrect opinions on the internet. According to sources, the board’s Executive Director Nina Jankowicz has appointed Hunter Biden to sit on the board for a salary of $50,000 per month.
“We are proud to welcome Hunter to our Ministry of Tr– um, our Disinformation Governance Board,” said Jankowicz. “As the victim of a Russian disinformation campaign that claimed his laptop held evidence of horrific sexual crimes and international corruption resulting in tens of millions of dollars being funneled to the Biden family, he is uniquely equipped to speak to these issues.”
The President’s son will be paid a salary of $50,000 per month. His appointment has caused several prominent conservatives to cry foul, claiming the deal and the entire board itself seem “gross”, “creepy”, and “corrupt.”
The Disinformation Governance Board dismissed the criticism as “dangerous disinformation.”
————————–
WASHINGTON, D.C.—White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki announced the Biden Administration’s plans to forgive up to $50,000 in student loans for each the nation’s 43 million Americans who have borrowed, emphasizing the student loan forgiveness will be paid in Kohl’s Cash.
This loan forgiveness program is being praised as brilliant, as the retailer’s coupons have eclipsed the inflation-affected US dollar in value.
“The Kohl’s Cash Student Loan Forgiveness Program will lift the heavy load of debt from hard-working Americans who thought it was a good idea to borrow money for a gender studies degree,” said Psaki while keeping a straight face. “With the burden of debt lifted—and just in time for the Kohl’s Spring Sale-abration Sale™—millions can now continue their dream careers as Starbucks employees.”
Not everyone agrees, however, that $1.3 Trillion in student debt should be paid in this manner, specifically the millions of Americans whose homes are being raided by Homeland Security agents that callously rummage through plastic Kohl’s bags in search of Kohl’s Cash that the homeowners swear they were going to use before the expiration date.
At publishing time, the White House welcomed the new head of the Kohl’s Cash Student Loan Forgiveness Program, citing decades of experience using Kohl’s Cash: your mom.
Update: The program has ended, as all Kohl’s Cash coupons are now expired.

An American family caused havoc at Israel’s Ben Gurion airport in Tel Aviv on Thursday when they tried to transport an unexploded shell through airport security.
The tourists found the shell while traveling in the Golan Heights, explained Israel Airport Authorities in a press statement.
Upon arrival at the airport, the American travelers declared the shell to airport security at luggage drop off and airport staff announced an evacuation. Video circulating on social media shows people panicking, running behind pillars, and cowering on the ground.
One person was reported injured in the incident, an Israeli passenger who ran onto the luggage conveyor belt amid the chaos.
The American travelers were interrogated by airport authorities but were subsequently allowed to board their flight.
Israel Airport Authorities said the incident is “currently under operational investigation.” The injured individual was taken to hospital.

I went out to start weeding the garden bed and then stubbornly decided to finish it all.
after that, since i was out, i decided to feed the fish and chase the frogs…lol…
hubby joined me and just as we finished we heard a loud CRACK…
since the winds have been incredible lately we thought the tree that the bear has been tearing at broke. so we hopped in the jeep and drove slowly down the driveway…expecting to see the tree down and a bear high tailing it away.
we saw neither. the tree, although shredded from the other side now too still stands. we couldn’t find anything of concern along the driveway, but did spot a large porcupine in a tree.
that was my afternoon.

no, we hear them frequently enough to know the sound…lol
this was wood breaking…somewhere one the mountain a tree came down…it’s the same noise when hubby cuts one with a chainsaw–right before it falls.
as long as the driveway is clear, we’re good to go!
