WOW! almost a year since i started this post…hoping for nothing but a quick smile or laugh to get us thru. been a long time…sigh…2 weeks to flatten the nonexistent curve…hope it’s over soon!!

  24. Just stopping by to say hello! I hope you and hubby are well. I finished my semester of the Accounting program I was in. I am waiting on two test grades yet, and Daughn is encouraging me to stick with accounting rather than rolling over into a bookkeeping program.

      well, it depends on your level of commitment if she means accounting as in CPA?
      hubby is an accounting manager and he has a BA degree but he’s not a CPA–
      you don’t need to be a CPA to do taxes either unless you really want to do taxes–corporate taxes, etc
      but there are plenty of accounting positions where you don’t need to be a CPA—
      but if you love the auditing aspects, then CPA is a great career—but you gotta keep up your certification…
      so it depends on your dedication…

      AND CONGRATS!!!!! hope you have a big celebration when it’s all done!!!!!

      1. No, she is not encouraging CPA and I am not wanting to pursue it. I would go with the 2-year degree to get started and see how I do. The Instructor says at a 2-year degree level you would be an overeducated bookkeeper! But, that is kinda what I was wanting anyway, bookkeeping.
