Salt has so many other uses around the home, other than a flavor enhancer! It can be used for cleaning, fighting inflammation, and even keeping pests away. So make sure to keep some on hand!!
These tips were found on The Frugal Navy Wife’s Blog:
Keep soot from building up

If you have a wood-burning fireplace, you can keep soot from building up in your chimney by tossing some salt on the logs.
Helps to Get Rid of Watermarks
Remove watermarks from your tables and furniture by using a mixture of warm water and salt. Just allow it to sit for a few minutes and wipe clean.
Add a Shine to Your Coin Collection
Get your copper shining again with a paste of salt and vinegar. Just rub gently on the bottom of your copper pans to remove stuck-on soot and tarnish. Works great on brass, pewter, and bronze as well. Do not use on silver, however.
Quickly Removes Soap Suds
Pour salt onto overflowing suds in the sink or washing machine.
Abrasive Cleaner
Make a great abrasive cleaner by making a paste of salt, borax, and water. Don’t use on finished wood or painted surfaces, though, as this will get your troublesome areas clean. Works great on rust rings in the tub.
Helps to Brighten Your Clothing
Speaking of washing machines, add salt to your washing machine’s rinse cycle to brighten colors and sharpen them.
Water Your Plants

Mix a couple of teaspoons with a gallon of warm water. Water your plants with this mixture once a month or so. They need salt, too, just like we do, and will grow much stronger and healthier.
Removes the Buildup on Your Clothes Iron
Clean your iron with salt. Just sprinkle some on your ironing board and it will take the buildup right off. Alternatively, you can make a paste from vinegar, baking soda, and salt. Just rub on when your iron is cool and wipe off with a warm, wet cloth.
Reinvigorates Your Sponges
Make your sponges come back to life by soaking in a solution of ¼ cup salt per quart of warm water. Soak overnight and your grungy mops and sponges are almost as good as new!
Keep Frost Off Your Car Windows
This winter, keep your mirrors and windows frost-free by wiping them with a sponge dipped in saltwater and allowing them to dry. It’s convenient when you need to head out in the morning and don’t want to worry about dealing with frost on the car windows.
Deters Ants and Other Pests

Keep pests at bay. Ants hate salt and will be discouraged from crossing the line if you put a line of salt in the doorway. If you’re spotting them in your home, you know what to do! Salt is a safer alternative to toxic pest control products that can harm your pets.
Neutralizes Odor
Garbage disposal smelling less than nice? Just sprinkle ½ cup salt down the drain and run some cold water. The salt will neutralize any odors and help get rid of anything that is stuck and causing them to smell. Salt also works to remove odors from sneakers. Sprinkle salt in the shoes, and wait 24 hours for the salt to absorb the odors and then shake the salt out.
Aleve a Toothache
Rinse with it when you have a toothache. If your tooth is bothering you and you can’t get to the dentist right away, rinse your mouth with a cup full of warm water and a teaspoon of salt. It works to naturally relieve discomfort while treating inflammation.
Soak Your Sore Feet
Use it in a foot soak when dealing with ingrown toenails or inflammation. You can fill a basin with warm water, add your favorite essential oils, and then toss two tablespoons of salt into the water. Soak your feet for at least 15 minutes per day to get relief.
Clears Up Irritated Skin Including Eczema
Treat eczema with salt. You can add it to a bathtub full of warm water and then soak in it for at least 15 minutes. Its natural healing properties allow it to work wonders at clearing up the irritation and inflammation on your skin.
Help Clean Your Cutting Board

Use it to clean your cutting board. If you have a stained cutting board, sprinkling salt over it and then scrubbing away at it with dish soap will help you get it as clean as possible with less effort.
Brings Relief to a Sore Throat
Gargle with warm water and salt to soothe an aching sore throat. When you need relief, but nothing is helping, this old-fashioned approach can work wonders. It helps to clear up the infection, ultimately allowing you to get relief from the pain.
Brings Some Relief to Poison Ivy
Get rid of poison ivy with salt. If you have poison ivy on your skin, soak some cotton balls in warm water mixed with salt and then place them on the irritated areas of your skin. It provides soothing relief and speeds up the healing process.
Helps You Remove Mold Easier
Get rid of mold using a combo of lemon juice and salt. Add a ½ cup of lemon juice to a bowl with a tablespoon of salt, mix well, and then pour it over any mold spots. Place cotton balls on top and leave them there for 30-60 minutes before removing and wiping away the mold.
Freshen Your Toothbrush

Add it to your toothbrush to get rid of stains. After putting the toothpaste on your toothbrush, sprinkle a pinch of salt on top and gently brush your teeth. It helps remove those unwanted surface stains that often develop from coffee, soda, and other beverages and foods consumed.

…My poll numbers are the strongest they have ever been, fundraising by the Republican Party is breaking all records, and midterm elections are fast approaching. This unprecedented political weaponization of law enforcement is inappropriate and highly unethical. The world is watching as our Country is being brought to a new low, not only on our border, crime, economy, energy, national security, and so much more, but also with respect to our sacred elections!
Release the documents now!

Not only will I not oppose the release of documents related to the unAmerican, unwarranted, and unnecessary raid and break-in of my home in Palm Beach, Florida, Mar-a-Lago, I am going a step further by ENCOURAGING the immediate release of those documents, even though they have been drawn up by radical left Democrats and possible future political opponents, who have a strong and powerful vested interest in attacking me, much as they have done for the last 6 years…

ukrainian truck driver high on drugs crosses the center line, kills 7 bikers and get ACQUITTED on all charges…WTF?????
FTA
New Hampshire Attorney General John Formella said in a statement, “Our hearts go out to the victims and their families. Our trial team did an excellent job and we firmly believe that the State proved its case beyond a reasonable doubt.” The jury deliberated for less than three hours after a two-week long trial.
On June 21, 2019 Zhukovskyy was driving in Randolph, New Hampshire, crossed the centerline, and swerved into oncoming traffic. He crashed into and ran over bikers from the Jarhead Motorcycle Club which killed seven, six of whom were former Marines.
According to the Daily Mail, National Transportation Safety Board investigators confirmed that Zhukovskyy “was impaired by drugs” and drove out of his lane and into the oncoming bikers. But before the trial a New Hampshire judge dropped eight charges related to Zhukovskyy’s impairment from the cornucopia of drugs, leaving the homicide and manslaughter counts related to his killing the bikers.
Zhukovskyy’s defense argued it was the bikers who were drunk and swerved in front of the Ukrainian truck driver, notably biker Albert “Woody” Mazza Jr.
Mazza’s father said, “Killing seven people and he gets off. That is unbelievable,” and “it doesn’t make much sense. There are seven people dead. There are seven families affected. It’s strange that he didn’t get something.” According to local news, Zhukovskyy was involved in a similar rollover crash in Bayover, Texas only a few weeks before the New Hampshire incident. He was also arrested for drug possession in Texas but received probation.
snip
Zhukovskyy’s Massachusetts commercial driving license was supposed to be revoked but still hasn’t been suspended due to a backlog of cases. He has been contacted by ICE and is due to be deported.

coincidence? HA! green energy boondoggle continues along obummer’s path
FTA
First, it concluded that the Obama administration gave preferred access to investors in Solyndra who had donated to Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign. Some of these select investors even took jobs in the administration and helped manage the clean energy program. “Documents show that senior officials pushed career bureaucrats to rush their decision on the [Solyndra] loan so Vice President Biden could announce it during a trip to California.” The same article noted that Obama’s May 2010 stop at Solyndra’s headquarters, “like most presidential appearances,” was “closely managed political theater.”
Second, it noted that Solyndra’s most substantial political connection was George Kaiser, a Democratic fundraiser and oil industry billionaire who happened to be an Obama campaign bundler in 2008. Kaiser had hosted Obama at his home, and his family’s foundation owned more than a third of Solyndra. Kaiser “took a direct interest in its [Solyndra’s] operations.”
Peter Schweizer, head of the Government Accountability Institute, reported that 80% of the money spent in Obama’s 2009 Recovery Act on green energy companies went to companies with individual owners who sat on Obama’s finance committee for his 2008 presidential campaign. Given the number of influential donors in Biden’s 2020 presidential campaign who have considerable financial stakes in green energy companies, Schweizer predicts Biden’s “Build Back Better” green energy program amounts to nothing more than “a wealth transfer to Biden’s biggest bundlers.”
By 2015, the Obama administration had used taxpayer funds to subside solar and other renewable energy in the United States at an average of $39 billion per year over five years, for a total of nearly $200 billion. This massive investment in renewable energy resulted in less than 1% of additional electrical generation.
In total, the Obama administration financed some thirty-four faltering or bankrupt green energy companies, including the following: solar panel manufacturers Solyndra LLC ($535 million loss in federal loan guarantees) and Abound Solar Manufacturing, LLC ($400 million loss); Fisker Automotive ($529 million), a green vehicles program; and green energy storage companies Beacon Power ($43 million) and A123 Systems ($132 million).
On May 5, 2021, Wyoming Republican Senator John Barrasso, M.D., the ranking member of the Senate’s Energy and Natural Resources Committee, introduced an investigative report that the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources had released about a concept he called the “Solyndra Syndrome.” The report contended Biden is heading down the same green energy path as Obama. Throwing billions of taxpayer jobs at various clean energy ventures didn’t work for Obama, and Barrasso argued it wouldn’t work for Biden either. Moreover, like Obama, Biden was putting a stranglehold on the oil and gas industries, where jobs were being created.

something sad happened yesterday at the hospital we went to. masks are required in the facility. a couple with a little toddler went in right before us and went to the mask dispenser and the man and woman got masks. the little girl didn’t require one–but she SCREAMED to get one. they gave it to her. she tried putting it on, but couldn’t and she sat on the floor in the hallway screaming and acting terrified. the father tried calming her down as the mother tried putting the mask on for her. the father kept saying don’t be afraid, you don’t need a mask, but the mother was telling her it would be okay, she’s putting the mask on as fast as she could…
sigh…this poor little girl was terrified of not having a mask on…that’s a learned behavior. i would have thought any child would RESIST a mask…

A general search brought up a few links – this appears to be the applicable agency – IDK whether they have their own “police force” or might they use the FBI?
“ABOUT NNSA
Established by Congress in 2000, NNSA is a semi-autonomous agency within the U.S. Department of Energy responsible for enhancing national security through the military application of nuclear science. NNSA maintains and enhances the safety, security, and effectiveness of the U.S. nuclear weapons stockpile; works to reduce the global danger from weapons of mass destruction; provides the U.S. Navy with safe and militarily effective nuclear propulsion; and responds to nuclear and radiological emergencies in the United States and abroad.
———————-
The capabilities of NNSA’s Office of Counterterrorism and Counterproliferation (CTCP) are integral to the U.S. Government’s layered defense against nuclear terrorism and nuclear proliferation, from providing early threat indications, securing nuclear material, locating and defeating nuclear devices, and mitigating the effects of radiological incidents around the globe. This “defense-in-depth” strategy requires adversaries to defeat multiple layers of security to obtain and detonate a nuclear device.
NNSA’s nuclear counterterrorism, counterproliferation, and incident response missions harness the Department’s unparalleled command of nuclear science to understand and contend with nuclear threats. CTCP performs three core functions:
– Preparing for nuclear and radiological incidents and accidents through planning, training, and exercises
– Countering adversary efforts to acquire and use nuclear capabilities
– Responding to nuclear and radiological incidents and accidents worldwide
CTCP manages the Nuclear Emergency Support Team (NEST), a cadre of on-call technical specialists who are trained and equipped to respond to all manner of nuclear events. Notable NEST capabilities include mobile teams that can search for nuclear devices based on a variety of signatures and threat intelligence, as well as technical personnel whose knowledge of nuclear weapons is used to characterize and defeat the device. NEST’s nuclear forensics personnel can perform technical analysis to determine the origin of nuclear material found outside of regulatory control or used in a nuclear device. NEST also performs a variety of public health and safety missions, providing technical guidance to federal, state, and local officials following nuclear incidents. By providing dispassionate scientific advice during fearful events, NEST equips decision-makers with the knowledge to save lives and help the public recover quickly from crises.”

I’ve always liked Shannon.
EXCERPT: “Fox News anchor Shannon Bream is the new host of “Fox News Sunday,” the network’s CEO Suzanne Scott announced Thursday.
Bream will begin her new role Sept. 11, becoming the first woman to host the program in 26 years, the network’s news release said. In addition, she will continue to be the Fox News chief legal correspondent.
“It has been an honor to cover major news throughout Washington over the last 15 years at FOX News. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to host a Sunday show and look forward to this new role,” Bream said, according to the news release.
The new host outpaced the average total viewership by 20% in 2021 while she served as guest host, according to the release. She marked the highest rated “Fox News Sunday” episode of 2022 in January, garnering 1.35 million viewers and 343,000 in the 25-54 demo. In June, she outpaced week-to-week gains of 37% in the 25-54 demo and a 53% increase in the 18-49 demo, the release said.”

EXCERPT: ““We have asked to ascertain how mRNA vaccines work since we are dealing exclusively with mRNA vaccines here and investigating whether the enzymes in mRNA vaccines can harm our health.” – Lawyer Nicoletta Morante
For the first time in Italy, a court in Pesaro ruled that the contents of mRNA vaccines must be investigated. The decision comes after a 50-year-old man who has already contracted Covid and does not want to undergo the vaccine to work. However, despite already having Covid, the man was suspended due to his ‘non-compliance’ after refusing to take the jab.
The Pesaro court accepted the request of the man’s lawyer, Nicoletta Morante, who had asked the judge for a lab analysis of Pfizer and Moderna’s Covid “vaccine” contents and its effects on a patient who has recovered from the infection and whether it is harmful in general to people’s health. Furthermore, the lawyer is questioning how the state can apply “informed consent to a case of mandatory vaccination”:
‘The first query is whether mandatory vaccination suits patients who have recovered from Covid. So firstly, we need to ask expert witnesses whether vaccinating the recovered is an appropriate medical practice.
The second query is based on my client’s research on non-human usage excipients contained in the vaccine. Moreover, based on a dossier that we had already prepared and of Dr. Ansovini’s technical consultancy, we have asked to ascertain how mRNA vaccines work since we are dealing exclusively with mRNA vaccines here and investigating whether mRNA vaccines or enzymes contained in mRNA vaccines, can be harmful to our health. Hence the request for technical assessment.
Let’s remind ourselves that there is also the peculiar issue concerning informed consent among the submitted queries. The informed consent form which the ASL [Regional Healthcare Service] of Marche asks people to sign, even in the cases of mandatory vaccination. Informed consent is something that usually applies to contracts. Because it usually sets out the contract terms.
So, applying informed consent to a case of mandatory vaccination is quite a contradiction. That is why we have submitted a request for court-appointed technical consultancy. And since it deals with a juridical matter, we will ask the judge to ascertain that too.
We want the court to examine the informed consent form in detail, which needs to be signed even in cases of mandatory vaccination.’
——————-
An analysis of enzymes in mRNA vaccines had already been done unofficially by Ansovini, who found the presence of about 25 substances not declared by pharmaceutical companies.
“Thanks to the advice of Dr. Raffaele Ansovini, the plaintiff already having healed from a Covid infection, unjustly [so we argue] limited in his profession and freedom of movement, as well as hit by administrative sanction for violation of the obligation to vaccinate, explained his concerns about the administration of mRNA vaccines, asking whether it corresponds to good medical science to vaccinate the healed,” the lawyer said.
Morante added: “We wanted to understand whether informed consent, which he would be obliged to sign, is compatible with compulsory vaccination if there are excipients for non-human use or harmful to health, or enzymes already found in analyses recently published in a US scientific journal at the bottom of Dr. Ansovini’s report, which had already been drafted for this judgment.”

EXCERPT: “President Biden and his family, including disgraced first son Hunter, are spending their summer vacation at a $20 million beachfront mansion in South Carolina, The Post has learned — and they’re not paying a dime.
The president recently asked prominent Democratic donor Maria Allwin — the widow of hedge fund founder James Allwin — if he could stay at her nine-bedroom Kiawah Island estate, a source close to the family told The Post. “They stayed here before and they’re not paying,” the source said. “They’ve never paid. They’re just friends.”
The property features a large swimming pool on two acres and is surrounded by palm trees and other lush vegetation for privacy. The White House frustrated reporters by offering little transparency about Biden’s South Carolina trip, which is expected to last through early next week.
The Associated Press emphasized Wednesday that the White House “did not respond to requests to provide details on Biden’s vacation schedule, activities or when he planned to return to Washington, nor did it provide information on the residence where he was staying.”
However, the Federal Aviation Administration’s website indicates “temporary flight restrictions for VIP Movement” will be in place over Kiawah until 9:15 p.m. Tuesday.
The Bidens have often stayed at Allwin’s mansion, which was listed for sale earlier this year — including as early as 2009, while Joe Biden was vice president. Maria Allwin has contributed to an array of mostly Democratic political campaigns, but her most recent donations are to Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) and a PAC supporting her effort to beat back a primary challenge by Donald Trump-endorsed Harriet Hageman.

spending is ultra maggot’s super power
FTA
WASHINGTON (TND) — This week’s “Waste of the Week” goes to the Connecticut Port Authority and President Joe Biden’s administration for its historic payroll.
CEO and founder of OpentheBooks.com, Adam Andrzejewski, joined The National Desk Friday morning for the weekly segment where he breaks down areas of waste his organization has uncovered.
The White House payroll spending was published July 1 to give Congress a comprehensive look at all of the spending through an oversight report.
How much did Biden spend in his first two years as president?
So, in his first two years, President Joe Biden on the White House payroll spent over $100 million. It was actually $100.7 million over the course of his first two years. The payroll headcounts at the White House have never been higher,” Andrzejewski said.
But who made the most money? Andrzejewski said the top paid staffer is actually the former director of the National Institute of Health, Francis Collins, and he makes more than $300,000.
“All the way back through [Barack] Obama, we’ve never seen White House staffer make more than $240,000. The folks you see on TV, like the national security officer, the Chief of staff, the press secretary, they make $180,000,” Andrzejewski explained.
Vice President Kamala Harris’ payroll was not included in this oversight report and Andrzejewski said she is “the elected official in the country that is the least transparent.”
“She discloses no payroll and claims that she’s not subject to disclosing. It’s a virtue of the federal Freedom of Information Act,” Andrzejewski said.
